Chapter 8: Iroh's Defeat
Iroh POV
I have been traveling to Zhaofu that the messenger wants me to go. Man, I cannot wait to have some good food once I fight off the Red Lotus. I have sensed a very powerful presence coming from a mile away. The ostrich horse was fast enough to get me in the center of Zhaofu. I saw Pakku, Jeong Jeong, and Piandao all tied up to the tree with holes on their chest; their heart is missing. Oh no my comrades have been killed and I wasn't there to save them. It is like the whole situation is like Lu ten. My comrades, you will be avenged. Suddenly black and red lightning have tried to strike me, this lightning is too powerful for me to redirect it. I managed to redirect some of it, but my body has been weakened. I may need to see a medic after this.
"Show yourself you coward, you have murdered my friends and now you have struck me with lightning," I said in an angry tone.
"I'm here General Iroh, do you think that your sins will be forgotten. Your family has destroyed the world for their greed for power. I will extinguish Sozin's bloodline from this world. Not to worry Iroh, I did not kill your comrades. It was my friends who killed them, but I am going to spare you and hold you hostage." The mysterious voice said, the figure walked to meet Iroh at the center. The figure is a teenage boy with amber eyes and short black hair, he carried a black katana. He wore a grey vest with black pants.
"What is your name young man? And why you are doing this? Are you a part of the Red Lotus? Your fashion sense is so bad young man." I said in energizing tone. This guy seems to have the spirit of Iblis inside him, it seems to me that he is the rumored Ezion of the Apocalyptic Dragon.
"My name is Ezion, and I am the leader of the Red Lotus, and why am I doing this? The answer is really simple, I want to end all monarchy. Many people have to serve these selfish rulers who only care about themselves. One family should never have the power of an entire nation. I will create a democracy where the power will go back to the common people. Where people do not have to follow cruel rulers and can choose their leader to represent them. Your family has forced citizens to commit horrible acts against humanity just so they can keep their chairs. The Earth Kingdom and the Water Tribes are guilty of this as well. No more do we have to submit to stupid and cruel rulers, I will free the people." Ezion said.
"You seem to have good goals, but you take things too far. There is nothing wrong with giving back power to the people. I will admit that my sins are unforgivable, but what your organization is doing is no better than what I did as the Dragon of the West." I said urgently, this young man seems to be guided by hate. I still do not understand how his companions can murder my comrades.
" The reason why the White Lotus deserves to be destroyed is that it is full of lazy old men who benefit from society's ignorance of their crimes," Ezion said in a furious tone as he shot black flames from his fists.
I tried to block it by making a firewall, but the black fame is too strong that it consumes my flame. The black flame almost got my sleeve, but I managed to cut off my sleeve. Ezion got in my face view so fast and slashed my stomach, I did not react in time and I'm fainting from blood loss. I am sorry my nephew, I failed you.
"Pathetic, here I thought you are the strongest fire bender of this generation. It seems you fainted from my sword strike; you are of no use for the Red Lotus if you are dead. I will heal you up and put you in bondage so that I can blackmail my good cousin Zuko to give me Ozai's head and then I will kill him and his sister. The world will be free from Sozin's bloodline." Ezion said in a menacing tone as he watches Iroh losing consciousness and out cold.
