Chapter 9: The Return of Jet
Flashback
Jet POV
I watched Katara, Toph, Sokka, and Aang walk away to find their sky bison. Longshot and Smellerbee offered to stay behind to look after me. I do not deserve their loyalty, but they are always struck by my side.
"Jet stay with us; you can make it. The Freedom Fighters are nothing without you. You save Longshot and me when we have nothing. Jet you have to live on, who is going to fight for the orphans. Jet, you can still influence the world." Smellerbee said hysterically with tears in her eyes.
"Your right, he still needs to fight on. Let me heal his injury." A mysterious voice said as he came out of the green light. A guy appears and he has black robes that are made of shadows. His facial structure looks similar to Aang, maybe he is from the Air Nomads like Aang is. He has green-gray eyes and black silky hair.
"Don't worry I will save your friend, my name is Hei. By the way Jet, you are an important piece for the future, which means you have a huge destiny ahead of you. Alright, let me see your wound." Hei said as he uncovers the wound and has emerald-green flames along with a liquid that has a golden coloring.
He put the flames and the liquid on the wound, "Ahhhhhhh that hurts" I shouted.
"I'm sorry about the pain, but hey your wound is gone," Hei said in a cheerful tone as I look over to see the wound completely disappear. His healing might be a lot stronger than Katara. Smellerbee tackle me to the ground and crying on my shoulders. Longshot pats my shoulder and gives me the approving look.
"I guess I can live another day. We may need to leave this city and make a new treehouse. Anyway Thank you Hei for saving my life, but I don't get when you mean I have a huge destiny ahead?" I said questioningly.
"You'll find out eventually. Anyway, rest ashore that Long Feng will lose his power over this city. I can give you a hint about your destiny. The hint is that you must give up your hatred towards the Fire Nation and keep finding more kids that have lost their loved ones during this war. Until then see you next time once the Avatar defeated the Fire Lord." Hei said as he disappears into the light.
Longshot uses hand signals that say, 'what just happened?'
"I don't know Long Shot, but he saved Jet. Maybe He is right about finding more people from the war. What do you want to do Jet?" Smellerbee asked.
"I guess your right Smellerbee, we need to find more people who have lost everything in this war. Maybe that's the only way the Freedom Fighters will atone for this war. I will figure out what Hei just said about my future in the meantime." I said as the three of us get out of the cavern.
Flashback End
Long Feng POV
It feels so good to be the Earth King. I have no use for puppets anymore, soon the entire Earth kingdom with be mine. The Beast Spirit warned me that I need to take out Toph Beifong to have my kingdom. Ohh well, a Dai lee agent will retrieve the Beifongs for me. This is a perfect trap for Toph Beifong. To think that she is just a random lackey for the Avatar.
A Dai Lee agent appear before me, "My liege we retrieve Poppy and Lao Beifong. They are waiting in the cell for you." The agent said obediently. I do not bother with learning their names, they are nothing more than puppets I controlled.
"Excellent work, my agents. I just received news that the psychotic senile ruler of Omashu has come to seek an audience with the Earth King. In the meantime, I want you to capture these hooligans Amon and the Owl. I will not have these 'vigilantes' ruin my plans. Is that understood?" I command my agents.
"But master? We need the entire Dai Lee to fight against them. They are too dangerous for us to fight." The agent said in a fearful tone.
"If you do not carry out my commands, then say goodbye to your family and you will rot on the streets. Is that understood? You are dismissed." I said in an agitated tone. The nerve of these agents. Great now I have to worry about incompetent agents as well.
I can test out my new power and kill King Bumi so that Omashu will be mine for the taking. I looked at the wanted posters: one has the picture of the blue spirit, one has the picture of a white mask with the red dot on its forehead, another shows an armored figure with an owl mask, one has Jeong Jeong and the last one shows Princess Azula of the Fire Nation.
That troublesome princess cost me Ba sing Se and the fact that she dared to have my agents turn against me. I will have my revenge on that Fire Nation brat by killing her in front of her nation and also, I will have the heads of that Owl and that damn masked demon Amon. So many people I have to deal with, oh well I guess that is one of the struggles of being the Earth King. Soon I will go down in the history of being the great uniter of the Earth Kingdom and destroying the Fire Nation and The Water Tribes.
