Air Gears – Heroic Trick -Prolog
Alright So word of warning this is my first time writing and I legit just started watching air gears again and fell right back in love with the show and thought that it would be cool to have those shoes in the MHA world so here we have it. I might have some more AN at the bottom so enjoy the reading. I will be open to constructive criticism.
"Big sis is guna have my ass when I get home." Thought Yutaka inside a precinct. Turns out the inside a precinct without any shoes on can actually be kinda cold, especially when an underground hero that's been on your ass for the past year just caught you and is staring you down.
In front of Yutaka sits a dark dressed man with a rather long scarf around his shoulders and a very tired attitude. The room itself is what Yutaka would assume is just your standard interrogation/holding room. Steel table and chairs, cuffed to that table and very little comfort.
"So why have you been taking part in vigilante activities?" Stated Erasure Head.
"Because by law what I've done doesn't count as vigilantism." Yutaka replied.
An eyebrow raises on Erasure Head "And how so on that if I might ask."
"That's because I am quirk-less. Law state that any quirk used to subdue any criminal would violate said law and brand you as a vigilante." Yutaka stated.
"You mean to tell me that you've been avoiding me one of the best underground heroes for almost a year with only some rollerblades with motors." Said with a hint of annoyance by Erasure Head.
"Rollerblades and a lot of practice in free running, martial arts, and quick-thinking exercises." Stated quite proudly by Yutaka.
"Alright that tells me how you've managed to avoid capture by me until now, now that I know you had some near professional skills in mobility."
"Well ya but you were learning more about me then I about you with each meeting we had. I bet you had some plans in place now for me whenever we might have met next."
"You were right I did have plans but I didn't expect you to charge into such a dangerous situation it's highly illogical especially for someone with no real combat training and still being a child."
"Well what would you have done in my shoes? I knew I risked my neck out there. Why do you think I gave the cops a call telling them that there was something going down in there? Having you spot my skids everywhere and my wheels on me wasn't part of my plan when I tried to escape with the kids, but hey we finally get to talk instead of me running and you chasing me."
"At least you were smart enough to have a backup, I've known heroes who never thought they would need one only to get blindsided by their opponents some got lucky most didn't."
In walked a man with a plain looking face and a brown coat. Holding a clipboard having some papers on it.
"Yutaka Take, age 16, quirk none, record clean other than some fights back in middle school against a known bully. Can't really hold him to anything because what he stated was true, he hasn't committed vigilantism on that note." Stated the detective as he read off the clipboard.
"Well we now know my name might I ask for your names?"
Both adults looked at each other thinking that there would be little harm in telling the child their names
"My name is Shota Aizawa."
"I am Naomasa Tsukauchi"
"So now what, you don't have anything to charge me with and it's getting late now. Also have you guys contacted my guardian yet?"
"Legally we aren't allowed to hold you anymore. However, Aizawa here looked interested in you for something, and yes we have contacted your sister."
Yutaka seeing that his night isn't going to end any time soon just slumps knowing the parental explosion awaiting him either when he gets out of here or when he gets home.
"I've recently expelled one of my students after an incident in the locker rooms in the U.A. hero course and now I can recommend a new applicant or the school can up one of the other students that are in their first year after the coming sports festival. I am willing to recommend you since you've had my interest for the past year."
Yutaka a little taken aback by this rather sudden offer to attend U.A. is skeptical "Are you actually offering me a spot in the U.A. hero course?"
"Yes, if you can pass the written test and only if you stop trying to take on villains at least until you get your provisional license, and are willing to play nice with one of the other students in the class."
Yutaka knowing this is a once in a life time opportunity would gladly take it especially knowing that the support course did make some gear and he might be allowed inside if he asked. "You will have no issues from me."
"Well then Yutaka I will be seeing you Monday in class 1-A." Said Aizawa as he got up and uncuffed Yutaka.
"Mr. Tsukauchi May I have my shoes back so I can get home."
"Yes, Yutaka you can get them back in the front. May I ask though who did you get those shoes from?"
"I built them." Stated Yutaka
Naomasa tucked that little half lie into the back of his mind for later as Yutaka walked out of the room only to be confronted with his sister in the lobby waiting for him with his shoes in hand. Standing at a decent 5'10 and light but toned frame beautiful dark brown hair that does down to her shoulders and brown eyes that look like fresh upturned dirt with small specks of green around her pupil.
"So, I take it I am in so trouble and grounded for the weekend sis."
"Your definitely grounded but in trouble only if you can't tell me some interesting stories for this turn of events for today."
"Can we at least ride and talk on our way home it's getting late?"
"Alright here are your shoes and I brought you your jacket from the house it's getting cold out there."
She said as she handed over Yutaka's shoes with their simple white wheels in the bottom and their simple black and red sneaker design, along with his jacket with a sticker of the Stormrider gang "Sleeping Forest" his sister used to run with before she had to take care of him. Yutaka always liked that name never really knew why but it always calmed him down after any fights he got in back in middle school due to the bullying he had to go through. With his shoes and jackets on the pair walked out the station and down the steps before they started a slow ride to their house which was maybe 15 mins away if they just coasted like they were about to.
After they got onto the sidewalk and started coasting Yutaka started to explain the course of the day to his sister.
"So, Sis where do you want me to start? With the events of today or the long domino effect that's has been happening for a while."
"How about domino effects those are always fun stories to tell."
"Alright but that's guna take a long while. So, do you remember when I started coming home with bruises on the weekends after I said I was going to the park."
"Yes, you even tried to hide it with foundation to not worry me, while also forgetting that you don't know how to put makeup on and that it was my makeup."
"Well I was actually meeting a friend of mine; he goes to a dojo and I had been joining in with him telling him that I had planned to become a hero. Great guy but he is a little bland in terms of personality. So, after like a week of training with him and getting the basics down I started to mix it with riding and found that they work rather well together. Soon after discovering that I just kinda kept practicing it until I was confident in myself in fights with it. Skip over a few weeks of going to the dojo doing my basic heavy riding practice, and fine tuning my new style of fighting. I began to go looking for trouble around town just simple purse snatchers or creeps getting a little too ahead of themselves with others. One day I watched some guy get mugged in an ally by some goons so I just kinda took them by surprise and it worked extremely well getting and solid kick to the back of the head and then a solid uppercut to an unprepared chin on the other guy. Both of them went down a lot easier than I thought they would, I just planned to get their attention and make a run for it after the dude ran from his mugging. Then rinse and repeat for less than a year and I apparently had the attention of one underground hero. Up until recently we've been playing cat and mouse for a while now. The recent event was that I saw a kidnapping and I immediately said fuck that and called the cops to tell them what was happening then I went in myself to judge what was happening and if I had to step in myself at that moment or if I could wait for the heroes to show up. After seeing that they were putting kids into shipping containers I started to just cause havoc knocking shit over axe kicking lone guys. And generally acting like a fucking ghost that just went about wrecking their shit. After a few minutes of being a pain in the ass for the kidnappers I got a call from the cops and that shit is really loud when its dead silent in a warehouse afterwards I got got by some kinda quirk that warps the terrain to a small degree around my feet. Before the guys could get to me, I got my ass saved by the heroes who just barged into the warehouse and were busy fighting with the rest of the guys that I didn't get or restraining the guys that I did. After bashing my feet into the ground as hard as I could and breaking the block of concrete I had for feet I went and tried to hide with the kids in the container. After that I got caught by Erasure Head and that leads us to the station. While in there I was also offered a seat in the U.A. Hero course by Erasure Head. Turns out he has kinda been impressed by our dynamic between us and I am assuming during the whole interrogation he was just passing final judgement on me if he would offer the spot in class."
Sis stopped in her tracks at the ending of this recap of the last year plus. She could probably guess I was training in the beginning then seeing that I started to come out with more bruises thought that I was getting into more fights outside of school and not telling her. I don't think she would have thought that I would go out and fight low level thugs almost on a daily basis.
"So, your telling me that your punk ass actually got offered to go to the top hero school in the country because you've been a pain in the ass to other people, I am not even mad anymore about the whole you getting taken into a police station."
"Yes, your lovable younger brother had gotten an offer to a top school by being a jack ass. So, if you're not mad will you not ground me for the weekend I wanted to go to the movies with my friend?"
"Fine, you can go to the movies but only if you pay for a ticket for me, I know that you've been going out and doing races with your shoes, you keep swapping your treads too often for it to be normal rides you keep taking."
"Fine I'll buy you a ticket."
5 mins from home
"So, we're doing katsudon for dinner, tonight right?"
"Ya."
"Wana race to see who does the dishes tonight?"
"Oh, you're on pipsqueak."
Insert one sick ass montage race with sick grinds and turns featuring the Air Trek shoes.
Front of the apartment complex.
"How I had you then you disappear from behind me how are you at the stairs already!"
"Secret tricks little brother now let's get dinner ready and eat. You have dishes tonight."
Alright so this is the prolog if I get interest in it, I may actually try to make this a series but as it is now it just going to be a time passing thing.
Also giving credit to the owners of Air Gears it's their shoes that I am using and obviously MHA gets their own credit to the world and characters I only own my character whose name I couldn't think of so I just googled Japanese Jockeys and picked the first name out so giving name credit to Yutaka Take congrats on being the first name on google for that specific search.
