Author's note: Hi guys :)! I'm back with a short but very cool chapter of my favorite story! Hope you'll all enjoy :D!
Chapter 3: Oceans
Cloud was groaning, heavily injured. He held an emerald green crystal before uttering a single word.
"Curaga.." Cloud commanded.
His injuries soon began to dissapear. Cuts were closing and bruises were fading. Moving his limbs with care, Cloud tested his body for any pain. Feeling his body recovering, he soon looked to see Jecht.
"I won't forget the occassion, Jecht. Stay out of my business." Cloud warned.
"Do not dissapoint me, kid. Some of us are not as lenient." Jecht warned.
'Talk to the blade, smartass.' Cloud thought.
With one quick movement of his blade, he tried to repeatedtly counterattack Jecht several times. He just wanted this to be over and done with whatsoever.
"So the kid wants to fight back. Bring it!" Jecht roared.
Cloud was forced in the defense. Jecht's attacks were heavy, but it didn't made Cloud stagger. His joints were screaming, but it didn't stop him.
"Like hell I'd let you take me down easily." Cloud shouted.
Soon, Sephiroth arrived in a swift wind. Blades of wind sliced the air, preventing Cloud and Jecht from attacking any further.
'"Cease your strifing, both of you." Sephiroth commanded.
Jecht felt the force of Sephiroth's attack but wouldn't buckle. He attacked the one-winged angel, only to feel a sharp stab in his left arm.
"I warned you. Go to the promised land if you wished to continue." Sephiroth threatened.
"Like hell I would. You're NOT my mastermind," Cloud snapped bitterly towards him.
Cloud felt Sephiroth's blade at his neck. This forced him to stop, but he was ever increasingly bitter.
'I have to overcome my problem.. If this mark of Chaos is one thing, it's a reminder of this dreadful god. I want nothing of this ragtag group.' Cloud thought.
Images of Tifa soon flushed in his mind. It became a source of conflict, forcing him to suppress his feelings. He was forced to lie, protecting her.
'I'm sorry, Tifa.' Cloud thought.
Tifa was more than a friend for Cloud, more like a sister to him. Cloud had dearly missed her, and that he hopes he will get the chance to actually see her again one more time. He would protect her, at all costs, like a brother or a fatherly figure.
Tifa watched at the horizon, her thoughts were about Cloud, longing for his presence.
'Cloud, I won't give up... I still believe we can overcome our problems.' She thought.
Lightning soon came to Tifa, seeing her overlooking the horizon.
"You miss that warrior, Tifa?" Lightning asked, knowing the answer.
"I do.. I also have trust for him as well. I won't give up." Tifa replied.
"He will find his way. The warrior is seeking the light to redeem himself." Lightning spoke.
"He always fights his battles to protect his friends at the expense of his life.. He's done this several times from where we came from." Tifa explained.
"He is a warrior of his own actions. I am impressed." Lightning admitted.
Author's note: I still need to update and write more new stories soon, but I think this is a pretty good but short chapter of mine, see you guys in the next story :)!
