Hidden Ice
Tifa was seen alone in the fields, silenty praying for Cloud.
'Cloud, you have the power to fight your enemies. I did not forget, but I pretended not to reveal myself.' She thought. She was stuck upon her own concerning thoughts about Cloud in about a total seven minutes.
Lightning noticed Tifa was alone at the fields. She went to her in concern, seeing Tifa's face yearning for a familiar swordsman.
"You miss him that much, Tifa?" Lightning asked, knowing the answer.
Tifa didn't respond but she nodded in response. Lightning exhaled in response knowing her question was answered. She walked to Tifa, knowing the female warrior was conflicted.
"I wish I could help him, Lightning. It's infuriating when I can't help someone, especially someone whom I know, who is suffering with no help." Tifa spoke somberly. Tifa dearly missed her beloved swordsman a lot, clearly. She wanted to know if Cloud is really doing all right now.
"We will have to hope for the best, Tifa. He will pull through." Lightning reassured.
Though reassuring, Tifa didn't calm down. The memory of seeing Cloud being beaten with the members of Chaos made the feeling worse. Soon, a white flash of light appeared, alerting the females. A graceful figure appeared, whom was a female. She was wearing a white dress with several accessories that highlight her divine nature.
"Cosmo." Lightning spoke with surprise.
"At ease, my friends. I have a foresight of events that will alter the outcome of this war." Cosmo announced.
"The fight is becoming to reach our favor?" Tifa asked.
"Yes. It involves the one whom you care and love." Cosmo revealed. ]
Tifa instantly knew whom Cosmo who was to referring to. She silently gasped, reacting as though she was spotted sneaking away. Embarrased, she covered her face, blushing red.
"Looks like you indeed care for the same man, Tifa." Cosmo revealed.
Tifa couldn't hide it anymore. She was embarrased as her heart raced. Her skin was flushed red, turning in some areas pink. With a sigh, she calmed herself down.
"Yes.. I do love him.. He's one of the few people I know of my former home village before it burned down. I also knew him as a child and I've fallen for him since then." Tifa revealed with a flushed face. She did indeed admitted her very strong love for him.
Cosmo smiled in response. She can sense the serene love from Tifa.
"You don't have to feel shy about your feelings, Tifa. Once you meet him, try giving him a chance." Cosmo spoke with a motherly tone.
Tifa blushed in response. Yuna giggled, seeing she wasn't the only one whom had a loved one and wasn't requitted. The priestess soon sympathized with Tifa, knowing both yearn to reunite with their loved ones.
"There will be a chance for you to reach him. Don't lose the chance." She spoke sagely.
Tifa felt a sense of encouragment. Knowing she will have another chance to speak with Cloud again, her hope soon became determination. She will get the chance to meet Cloud once more in her young life thus far.
"Keep your strength, Tifa. We got company coming." Lightning commanded.
Soon, mirror copies of Tifa and Lightning, sharing the glassy, opaque appearance. Both combatants were now ready to fight. Tifa raised her fists, while Lightning held her gunblade in a opposite direction towards in the direction of the glass versions of themselves.
"I won't let a soldier of Chaos hinder our fight." Lightning spoke.
Channeling magic thanks to her link heritage of the L'Cie, Lightning conjured nonelemental magic.
"Taste the power of ruin!" Lightning shouted.
The nonelemental magical shots were fired in rapid succession. They impacted the glass copies on the abdomen, causing them to groan in pain.
"They're not worth being copies of me." Lightning spoke coldly.
Tifa didn't have much resistance agaisn't the glass copies. Holding on to a familair green, spherical crystal, a surge of fire was unleashed before it converged to a single point.
"Flare!" She commanded.
The flames were compressed to a small, glowing ball. The ball was launched, hitting one of the copies. The ball soon got unstable, exploding with the force of a thermobaric bomb. The copies nearby were caught in the blast. The force of the explosion was enough to obliterate the copies with no problems.
"I guess that's that." Tifa said, stretching her arms. Soon, their own fight finally finished in less than thirteen minutes or more.
The constant fighting left Tifa and Lightning exhausted. Both stood their ground, breathing heavily.
"My battles are not over. I have to keep pushing forward." Lightning spoke.
"I can't give up. Cloud, wait for me so I can confess to you." Tifa said.
