Bold Sword

Cloud was still unconscious from his battle. His body was unable to move due to exhaustion.

'My body is too tired.. I can't move right now.' Cloud thought.

Unknown to him, Cloud had his mark of Chaos, now dissapearing from his body.

'My fight may have ended, but the war agaisn't Chaos is still going, I musn't stay unconscious too long but I can't move. My strength has left me...' He thought with exhaustion. Cloud felt too tired to even move on his own.

A flash of light emcompassed Cloud, making him float in the air. It was a warm feeling, welcoming to him.

"Who are you?" He asked.

Though his eyes were closed, Cloud felt a smile. It was a warm feeling, unspeakable, yet heavenly.

" I am Cosmo. I felt your presence when you overcame your prison." Cosmo revealed.

"Cosmo.." Cloud spoke weakly.

"I will brand you with my power, Cloud. A warrior holds great feelings for you." Cosmo revealed.

It took Cloud a moment before he realized who the goddess was referring to. It was a very familiar young woman in which he was very familiar with.

'Tifa..' He thought, seeing her image.

Yes, it was Tifa. Cloud soon felt the repurcussions of his choice.

'I do regret my choice.. In the end, my mistake was not trusting my thoughts. No matter how much I can deny it, I'm still at fault.' Cloud thought somberly.

"Ease your mind, Cloud. You don't need to blame yourself, despite your fears." Cosmo reassured.

The goddess could see Cloud looked distressful. She felt pitifull for the swordsman after seeing his vulnerable state.

'Tifa, if only you could see him now.. This man does care for you so much he's willing to risk himself to protect you. Tifa, be sure to have your time with him.' Cosmo thought, smiling.

Cosmo went to Cloud, whom now fell unconscious with fatigue. Both dissapeared from the current landscape.

Tifa was with Yuna and Lightning. They were keeping watch for anything to prepare for battles. A flash of light soon presented to the female warriors. Cosmo and Cloud appeared, which alerted Tifa.

"CLOUD!" She shouted.

Tifa raced her way to Cloud, not hesitating to get close enough to physically touch his body. Though she was bashful, seeing the one she liked while he was unconscious suppressed her shy personality, favoring to concern.

"Calm down, Tifa. Cloud is currently unconscious after dealing with a tough battle." Cosmo announced.

Lightning held up Cloud, holding him up with a struggle. She grunted heavily, unable to hold him up.

"How can you handle this guy, Tifa? He's heavy.." Yuna questioned.

Tifa giggled awkwardly as she held Cloud, sword and all, with little difficulty. She placed his unconscious body near her. However, Cloud's head was laying on her lap. Tifa's hands glided across Cloud's face, gently brushing his hair that billowed in the wind. Tifa was being extremely gentle and careful as she slowly cradled the unconscious Cloud in her arms, a soft smile appearing upon her face.

"I'll finally have a chance to tell him.. All I've been doing is denying the chance to tell him. I can't lose the chance.." Tifa said, giving herself a pep talk.

Cloud was still unconscious but he had a peaceful expression. Tifa kept watch of his body, holding close.

'If only... Just once.. I want to..' She thought.

Tifa soon began to lean close to Cloud's head. She pecked his forehead in a soft kiss. Her heart raced and her blood rushed to her head.

'Cloud.. When you wake up, I will reveal my thoughts to you..' She thought. She wanted it to be something special for her and Cloud as well.

Hours have passed. Cloud was asleep as his soft breathing was heard. Tifa refused to leave him alone. She was lying near a tree, letting Cloud sleeping on her lap.

'I will wait for you to wake up, Cloud. I have so much to say..' She thought.

Cloud was soon waking up. He grunted, waking his body after being unconscious for a while. When he moved around, he failed to notice he was laying on Tifa's lap. This tickled her to get the woman's attention. Upon seeing Cloud facing down on her lap, she blushed red.

'Oh no... The way Cloud is facing down there is...!' She thought, embarrased. She nearly flushed when Cloud slowly got up to his feet in about two minutes.

Cloud soon felt the numbness leave his body. He looked to this right to see Tifa. Noticing he was lying on her lap, he quickly leaped up, flusteted. He wasn't embarrased, but felt rather shy now.

"Tifa?" He asked.

"It's okay, Cloud. You were unconscious when Cosmo found you." Tifa reassured.

Cloud remained silent. He couldn't find the right words to speak to Tifa. Soon, she stood up, albeit flustered.

"Cloud, I wanted to say this, but I never got the chance to do so. Please hear me out for a moment." Tifa requested.

The swordsman soon waited to hear what Tifa wanted to say. Crossing his arms to patiently hear what Tifa wanted to say, Cloud kept his attention to her.

"Cloud... I've always wanted to say this, even when we were kids.. I love you. I've always loved you, even as the years passed by." Tifa confessed.

Cloud stood motionless, hearing Tifa's confession. Tifa soon moved forward, hugging Cloud close, afraid he would dissapear.

"Tifa.. I.." Cloud spoke awkwardly.

"It's okay, Cloud. I'm here and I will be with you." Tifa said. She really hoped that Cloud will understand her confession.

Cloud soon felt the need to hug Tifa. Much to her surprise, the swordsman held her close, but careful enough to not hurt her. Tifa soon leaned her head on his shoulder. She craved his touch, not wanting to seperate from him.

"Cloud... I wanted to be with you as long as I want it to." Tifa revealed.

Cloud kept his stoic face, but in his mind, he was crying. He often kept his emotions in check. However, upon hearing Tifa's confession, it proved too strong. The swordsman soon leaned in with the hug, not wanting to seperate. He kept the hug long as he wanted it to finished. He knew that he has feelings for Tifa, yet he kept those feelings close to his heart. He wanted to let Tifa know about his feelings for her, so he continued to let his mind waver over Tifa.

'My feelings for Tifa.. They are no illusion.' Cloud thought.
