Prologue.

In her dreams ever since she was little she always dreamt of men in black. The men in her dreams always seemed to have a different face, although the faces she saw were blurry, so she was never sure. What she did know was that she always saw the same pair of deep black eyes framed by silky, ink black hair which she noted, were always different lengths and styles.

Those cold raven eyes would always stare at her, so hard and intense that she always thought someone might've pierced her soul. Those eyes were always full of emotion and desire. They were beautiful, really.

Sometimes those eyes would turn crimson red as well. They reminded her of the red spider lilies. A fascinating sight that would make her tremble even hours after her dreams have ended. The red eyes always seemed like they were pleading for something, like they were longing for something. They cried out abandonment. Cursed. She always thought.

Those dreams she had, to her they always felt like memories one has lost. They were too realistic, and she had a hard time forgetting them. Because how one could forget something so realistic? It was impossible.

Sometimes she felt like she lived two different lives. One was her harsh reality and the other her vivid dream world.

Since long ago she came up with the conclusion that those dreams that were conquering her mind night and day were part of her destiny. Maybe one that has been forgotten. Nonetheless, she always thought that if she were to meet her fate she would know right away.

Whenever she would see a man with black hair and eyes she would always shudder, because she'd think it's one of them. But they never were. It would disappoint her to the point where she would be sulking for the rest of the day.

Then, she'd think that her dreams were just a mere fantasy that she came up with. She would try to forget them. Keep them to herself, like she always did and would proceed to do until the day she dies. If someone were to know, they'd think she was crazy. She knew that way too well.

Little did she knew that fate was cruel, it had its own way of doing things, it's just that she didn't know. She never had a possibility.

The fate has always kept them close to her, she even knew some of them, but both sides were uninterested in one another. Cursed to stop making the same mistakes they did in the past.

She was cursed to search for them, they were cursed to forget her. A spell that wasn't supposed to be broken.

But sometimes even the strongest spells break if one has enough will to do so or the circumstances align in the right order, because some things aren't meant to be kept away from each other.

Author's note

My exam deadlines got extended and some of you guys said you would be willing to read another work of mine, so I decided to act on the idea as I literally couldn't get it out of my head. Let me know what you think of the idea and what you expect. The prologue is short, but I'm already working on chapter 1 so it would be going up pretty soon after this. By the way this fanfiction is UchiSaku, at least for now. ;) Let me know what you think by reviewing or following this piece of work. For those of you who are here for the first time and have no idea what you're getting yourselves into be sure to check out my other fanfiction in progress called Stains on name.
