Gamelover41592: Yeah, it was really the only way I could end it.

Matt (Guest): Spoilers! Yes, that Nintendo direct was hype. Also, don't ask me to update. As I said, I am in college now. Things are busier than before so I can't post as often as I would like. You don't think I want to put more out for you guys? I know you are excited, but please refrain from asking me. If you really want to see more from me, go read the other story I'm posting.

So it's time for Kitty to battle her way through the Elite Four and for Alola to crown its first ever champion! Let's go!

Kitty flinched when she heard the doors shut behind her. The guards had already told her that if she left, she forfeited her try and would need to restart. So it really was going to be all or nothing. But as nervous as she was, she was also excited. She had been Emma, her own older sister. And now, all that was standing between her and the champion title was four trainers.

"I can do this!" Kitty internally hyped herself up. "Primarina, Ribombee, Bewear, Lycanroc, Tsareena and Mimikyu have gotten me through so many battles! I can't let them down now! And Emma is counting on me too…" She shook her head and looked around the room. There were crystals lining the inside of the mountain with four doors. In the middle was her father.

"Four trainers!" Kukui declared happily as he turned around to face his daughter. "Every Pokémon League in every region all over the world features four fantastic trainers called the Elite Four. Here in Alola, too, we've got four trainers all lined up for our Pokémon League. You'll win your way past every last one of them. You can't leave until you do...or until you give up."

"I'm ready," Kitty declared firmly.

"Primarina can sense when its Trainer is nervous," Kukui replied.

"So he could tell," Kitty internally grumbled.

"Stay loose! You'll be fine!" Kukui assured her. "I expect you to show me some intense moves and real heart-stopping battles in there! Good luck, Kitty! Primarina!" Kitty took another deep breath as she looked over the doors. Each had a symbol over them. Kitty could only guess they were might to represent the type the trainer would use. She looked over them and took a guess: Steel, Ghost, Rock, and Flying. Deciding she would just go in order, she entered the steel room. Inside was Molayne.

"Hey!" He greeted Kitty with a wave. "Kukui asked me to, so I decided to be in the Elite Four. I'm looking forward to battling against you and Sophocles in the Pokémon League."

"I hope you are as good as Sophocles was," Kitty said as she and Molayne took their spots in the room. Both then sent their first Pokémon out, Molayne's Klefki and Kitty's Bewear.

"Klefki, Reflect," Molayne said. Klefki put the shield up and Kitty internally groaned. Reflect was going to make it a lot harder to knock Molayne's team out.

"Bewear, Earthquake!" Kitty ordered. Bewear launched the attack and much to her relief, she was able to knock the Klefki out before it could set up any further. Molayne then sent out a Metagross.

"Metagross, Zen Headbutt," He said.

"Bewear, dodge!" Kitty ordered. Bewear was unable to dodge in time and was knocked out. Kitty returned him to his Pokéball before sending out Mimikyu. "Mimikyu, Shadow Claw!"

"KYU!" Mimikyu cried as it attacked. Metagross fell after that. Next to come out was Dugtrio. Kitty decided to return Mimikyu to its Pokéball for now (mostly to save it's disguise) and send out Primarina.

"Dugtrio, Iron Head," Molayne ordered. Kitty flinched, but Primarina was able to hang on.

"Sparkling Aria!" Kitty ordered. The Dugtrio was knocked out and Molayne then sent out Bisharp. A Moonblast dealt with it and Molayne sent out his final Pokémon, a Magnezone. Kitty opted to switch to Tsareena.

"Flash Cannon," Molayne called out. The attack hit, but Tsareena remained standing.

"High Jump Kick!" Kitty proudly called out. Tsareena ultimately ended up doing the final blow of the battle.

Molayne went into a thinking position. "Kukui made trainers who he thought were strong into members of the Elite Four, but he didn't choose any challengers. He's waiting for a fresh breeze to blow through Alola." He then nodded, causing Kitty to take the cue to leave. Once she was in the opening room, she headed for the Rock themed door. Inside was Olivia.

"Welcome to the Rock Chamber!" She greeted Kitty. "No introduction needed here. Time to battle me, Olivia!" She was nowhere as hard as Molayne was due to Primarina being able to wipe out most of the time, other than the Cradily, who was dealt with by a healed up Bewear.

"Two down, two to go!" Kitty cheered.

"I don't see the same look in your eyes that I saw when we first met on Akala Island," Olivia admitted. "Have you had some experiences that you'll carry with you in your heart forever?"

"You could say that," Kitty replied. "But if you are in the Elite Four now, who's the Kahuna?"

"We'll deal with that when the time comes," Olivia said. "Well, it's time for you to move on." With a wave, Kitty moved on and headed for the Ghost chamber. And she already had a feeling on who she was going to be seeing.

"Hiya! Acerola here, bringing an older royal touch to the Pokémon League!" Acerola greeted Kitty as she walked into the room. "Nanu said maybe he can't refuse a tapu choosing him to serve as Kahuna...but he'd be darned if he had to serve as one of the Elite Four just because some guy asked him! So I guess I'll just have to battle hard enough to make up for him not being here!"

"Alright then," Kitty replied as she took her place on the battlefield. When she was champion, she was going to have to sort out new members of the Elite Four. Acerola sent out Banette, while Kitty decided to take a risk on Mimikyu. "Mimikyu, Shadow Claw!" Mimikyu attacked and knocked Banette out almost instantly.

"Wow! You are just as strong as when I first met you! Maybe even stronger!" Acerola admitted. "But I still have to give you a challenge!" She then sent out her Palossand. "Shadow Ball!" Kitty watched as Mimikyu's disguise broke.

"Mimikyu, Shadow Claw!" She called out. Mimikyu attacked, dealing heavy damage, but failed to knock out the Palossand.

"Palossand, give that Mimikyu an Earth Power!" Acerola ordered. Mimikyu held on, but took heavy damage.

"Mimikyu, come back!" Kitty called out. "Primarina, finish this off! Use Surf!" This knocked out the Palossand.

"Froslass, let's go!" Acerola called out happily. Frolass came out.

"Primarina, come back!" Kitty called out. She had a plan. "Lycanroc, let's go!"

"Froslass, Blizzard," Acerola ordered. The attack did a decent amount of damage, but Lycanroc didn't fall.

"Lycanroc, Stone Edge!" Kitty called out. Froslass was knocked out instantly, as was the Drifblim that came out next.

"Dhelmise, can you please try to turn this around?" Acerola asked. She knew Kitty was most likely going to win, but anything was possible!

"Mimikyu, let's finish this off!" Kitty ordered. "Shadow Claw!" The attack landed, but Dhelmise remained standing.

"Shadow Ball," Acerola snarkily replied. It hit hard, but Mimikyu didn't fall.

"Shadow Claw again! Let's finish this!" Kitty called out. Mimikyu attacked and this time, it knocked out Dhelmise.

"Phew! Well, there goes my hope of beating you to smithereens and becoming a champion myself!" Acerola admitted.

"Give it time," Kitty said with a smile. One trainer left and Kitty didn't remember anyone important who used Flying Types. She remembered Emma mentioning that she learned the Flying-Type Z-Move by a lady, so maybe it was her? Entering the chamber, she found a lady in a golfing uniform.

"So, here you are…" The woman greeted her. "Why don't we see who the winds favor today, you...or me?"

"Um...who are you?" Kitty asked.

"My name is Kahili," She replied. "A few years ago, I was a champion of the Island Challenge, too. Just like you. I've been traveling the world to improve my skill as both a Trainer and as a golfer. When I heard that they'd made a Pokémon League in my own home region, I came flying back to serve Alola. Have a look at my fantastic Flying-type team!" In spite of Kahili's skill, Lycanroc was able to deal with her with ease.

"We did it!" Kitty cheered as she hugged her Pokémon. Lycanroc gave a happy cry.

"You know...I think you'll bring a breath of fresh air to the Alola battle scene." Kahili admitted. "I was honestly annoyed when Kukui kept pestering me to come here, but I'm glad I did." Kitty nodded and then walked towards the teleporter. Once she returned to the main room, she saw the teleporter in the middle had lit up. Taking another deep breath, she walked into it. The room she landed in was a throne. With a grin, Kitty sat on it. Kukui and Emma walked over to her, clapping all the while.

"Oh yeah, now you're the Pokémon League Champion!" Kukui cheered.

"I knew you could do it Kitty!" Emma chimed in.

Kukui then shook his head as Emma gave a knowing smile. "Wouldn't it be nice if it was that simple?"

"Dad?" Kitty questioned.

"The truth is, there's one more person you have to battle if you want that title," Kukui revealed.

"But I already fought Emma!" Kitty protested.

"I never said you were fighting your sister," Kukui then grinned. "You're fighting me! Yo! One final hurrah for your Island Challenge! And a special tribute as your and this Pokémon League embark on a new path! Let's have a battle worthy of this moment!"

Kitty grinned. "Let's go dad! This is my throne and I'll defend it from anyone!" Emma took a step back, but before the battle could begin, four figures appeared outside the arena.

Tapu Koko, Tapu Lele, Tapu Bulu, and Tapu Fini.

Kukui just grinned harder. If the Tapu themselves had chosen to grace the battlefield, then no doubt this was going to be incredible. "Show 'em what you got, Lycanroc!"

"Tsareena, let's start strong!" Kitty ordered as she sent her own Pokémon.

"Accelerock!" Kukui ordered, getting the first attack in. The attack didn't do much.

"Trop Kick!" Kitty called out, her attack dealing much more damage. "Now finish it off with Razor Leaf!" This knocked Lycanroc out.

"Not bad!" Kukui complimented his daughter. "But I'm not out yet! Braviary, let's do this!" The Flying type came onto the field with a screech. "Now, Brave Bird!" Tsareena took the attack, but was basically on its last legs.

"Mimikyu, let's go!" Kitty ordered with a smirk. "Okay, Wood Hammer!" She knew it wouldn't do much damage, but she had a plan. Braviary stumbled a little, but was clearly still ready for a fight.

"Brave Bird again!" Kukui called out. It only succeeded in breaking Mimikyu's disguise.

Kitty grinned. Her father had fallen into her trap. "Payback." Much to her joy, the plan worked and the extra power allowed Mimikyu to knock out Braviary.

"See you picked up some tricks from your sister, eh Kit?" Kukui asked as he returned his Pokémon to its Pokéball. "Snorlax, show her how it's done!"

"Mimikyu, come back!" Kitty called out. She then grabbed another Pokéball. "Bewear, let's go!"

"Snorlax, Heavy Slam!" Kukui ordered. Kitty panicked internally. She knew that Snorlax weighed a ton. So this was going to do a ton of damage. And sure enough, Bewear was knocked back, but was still standing.

"Hammer Arm!" Kitty ordered. With all it's might, Bewear smashed its fists into Snorlax. Kitty was hoping for heavy damage, but when she got the knock out, she was pleased. "Alright!"

"Magnezone, go get 'em!" Kukui called out as he sent his next Pokémon out. "Now, Thunder Wave!"

"Dodge!" Kitty called out a second too late, as Bewear was quickly paralyzed. But before she could call it back, Bewear snapped out of its paralysis. "Alright! Hammer Arm again!" This knocked out the Magnezone.

"Ninetails, let's go!" Kukui said as he sent out his second to last Pokémon. "Now, Dazzling Gleam!" This knocked Bewear out.

"Lycanroc, let's go!" Kitty said as she sent out her own Lycanroc. "Stone Edge!" Since Ice Types weren't tough, this knocked out the Ninetails.

Kukui couldn't have been prouder. Kitty was the best battler he had ever seen. But he wasn't going to give up. She deserved the best battle possible. "Alright Decidueye! Finish this battle the best you can." Once the Pokémon was out, he smirked. "Let's do this! Decidueye, unleash your power with your Z-Move, BLOOM DOOM!"

"Crap," Kitty groaned as Lycanroc was quickly knocked out. But she realized that she did have a trump card. And she needed her starter to use it. "Primarina, let's do this!" Before Kukui could comment, Kitty readied her own Z-Ring. "Primarina, let's finish this with your Z-Move: SUBZERO SLAMMER!" With this Z-Move, the battle was over. For a few seconds, everyone just looked around. Finally, Kukui nodded and smiled while Emma tackled Kitty into a hug.

"Amazing!" He cheered. "It's like I told you before, the strongest moves you can use are the ones a trainer and their Pokémon choose together in the heat of the moment-when it really counts. And you just proved me right! Congrats, Kitty! You're a champion we can all be proud of. I told you, didn't I? Up there on Mount Lanakila."

"You said it dad," Emma agreed as the family shared a group hug. "The whole world's gonna know how great Alola is!"

"That's my dream! And right here, right now, it finally came true!" Kukui cheered. "And it's all thanks to you two girls."

"Let's head back to Melemele," Kitty said. "I wanna celebrate!"

Next chapter, it's time to celebrate, do some more battles and give a send off to a friend for a while. See you all then!
