Gamelover41592: Good. I love being surprising. And if you didn't see that coming, then I wonder what you'll think of this

Matt (Guest): Yes Zoura is adorable and I want one.

Okay, so time to cover something I missed last time. This takes place about a year after Kitty, Hau and Lillie got together.

"Kitty, please focus," Emma moaned. She and Kitty had been contacted by members of the Ultra Recon Squad about some Ultra Beasts getting loose on Poni Island. Emma herself had captured some through repeated travels into the Ultra Wormholes.

"Sorry Em! I just haven't seen the Ultra Beasts as often as you!" Kitty pointed out.

"Maybe if you weren't sucking face with Hau and Lillie so much, you'd see them more," Emma teased. Kitty responded with a raspberry. Emma just smiled as she and Kitty arrived at the field where they were told the Ultra Beasts were. Soliera and Captain Phyco were waiting for them.

"Thank you for coming. The Ultra Beasts, now called Stakataka and Blacephalon, are lost and wandering in Poni Grove," Soliera explained to the girls.

"Let's just hope no one else runs into them before we do," Emma noted. The Ultra Recon Squad members both nodded.

"It is my guess that they are distraught," Phyco noted. "They will most likely attack anything they see." Both sisters shared a nervous look.

Soliera then walked over to the girls. "Here are some Beast Balls. Normally, you would have to buy these at Aether Paradise, but they were kind enough to give some to us." She then handed each girl five Beast Balls. Emma looked over them. She'd used them in the past, but it was always good to have them. Kitty, on the other hand, was beyond excited.

"So we get to catch these things?" Kitty asked eagerly.

"We leave that to you two. All we wish for is that the Stakataka be able to live peacefully," Soliera replied.

"We have learned from what happened with Necrozma. We must not try to control these but focus on protecting them," Phyco added in. Emma flinched at the mention of Necrozma. She did let it fuse with Solgaleo often, but she still wanted to find a way for Necrozma to be okay and for it and Nebby to remain their own beings. So far, everything was coming up blank. "It would put both ourselves and the Pokémon if you would capture us."

"We'll do our best," Emma promised.

"Sounds good to me! Let's go help those Pokémon!" Kitty declared as she rushed into the grass.

"Sure, just rush off. That's smart," Emma grumbled under her breath. She decided to walk the other way, assuming that the Ultra Beasts wouldn't stay together.

"Um...are you an Ultra Beast?" Kitty asked as she looked over the...thing in front of her. It was a very colorful, clown-like thing with a disco ball for a head. It roared at her in response. "Yep. You're one of the Ultra Beasts" Reaching for her bag, Kitty decided to play it safe since she had no idea what type this was. "Primarina, let's do this!"

"PRIM!" Primarina had only gotten stronger, along with the rest of her team, due to Kitty never switching out her team. They had made her Alola's first champion and she would stick by them.

"Okay, Primarina, use Hydro Pump!" Kitty ordered. The starter fired it's attack, hitting the UB dead on. In response, it used what Kitty could guess was Shadow Ball.

"BLAC!" It roared after the attack.

"Okay, guessing you're Blacephalon," Kitty noted. She also noticed that it reacted rather harshly to the Hydro Pump, leading Kitty to guess it was weak to Water-type. So she decided to stick with Water-types. "Now Scald!"

"PRIM!" Primarina called out as she fired the attack. Blacephalon was heavily weakened, but still standing. It then removed its head and made it explode, dealing heavy damage.

"Just gonna play this safe," Kitty decided as she readied her Z-Ring and Z-Crystal. "Primarina! Unleash your power with your Z-move: OCEANIC OPERETTA!" This knocked Blacephalon down. While it was weakened, Kitty tossed the Beast Ball at it. Three shakes and it was quickly captured.

"Prim?" Primarina cocked its head in confusion.

"You did great," Kitty assured her starter, who gave a happy smile. "Now let's go find the Ultra Recon Squad and Emma."

"Geez these things are weird," Emma groaned as she encountered an Ultra Beast. It seemed to be literally made up of blocks. "Incineroar! Let's go!"

"ROAR!" Incineroar called out as it hopped out of its Pokéball.

"Let's try...FIRE PUNCH!" Emma ordered as she thrust her hand forward. Incineroar rushed forward, hand coated in fire. It dealt damage, but barely knocked the Ultra Beast back.

"Stak…" It said before attacking with what Emma was pretty sure Iron Head.

"Okay, so you're Stakataka," Emma reasoned. "And fire didn't do a lot of damage so…" She thought, trying to guess at this thing's possible types. "Okay Brick Break!" This time, the attack did much more damage, leading Emma to realize it was weak to Fighting. "Okay, now Focus Punch!"

"INCIN!" Incineroar charged forward again, putting all its energy into this punch. It nearly knocked Stakataka down, but at the same time, led to Incineroar charging right into a Stone Edge.

"Think you can do one more attack?" Emma asked her long time partner. Incineroar nodded. "Alright, Low Kick as hard as you can!" Incineroar did as it was told and Stakataka collapsed, it's large frame working against it. This left it as easy picking for Emma to capture it. "Let's get back to the Ultra Recon Squad and hope Kitty found the other one."

"Cin?" Emma smirked. She knew exactly what it was asking.

"Yes, you can stay out of your Pokéball,"

"Thank you both for capturing the Ultra Beasts for us," Phyco said once both girls had returned. "Together with the Aether Foundation, we should be able to gather useful data in order to protect the Ultra Beasts. I expected no less from the champion herself and a high ranking Aether Foundation employee. You've helped us resolve an extremely delicate situation. We thank you."

"Hey, just doing our part to protect Alola," Kitty assured them.

"We take our leave now. Until we meet again…" Soliera said as she and Phyco walked off.

"They still can't do the Alola move right?" Kitty had to ask.

Emma chuckled. "I think it's kinda charming. So, wanna come see the rest of the Ultra Beasts?" Kitty's face lit up.

"Whoa….!" Kitty was in awe. She had no idea there were so many Ultra Beasts. Then again, the only ones she'd ever seen before today were Poipole and Nihilego.

"We're hoping that we'll be able to better understand these things so that if more keep filtering into Alola, people won't have to be afraid," Emma explained to her sister as they walked through the labs. From what Kitty could see, none of the Ultra Beasts were out at the moment, but there were plenty of pictures, each with a different UB label that told someone like Kitty literally nothing.

"What are all of these?" Kitty asked as she looked over each picture.

"Well, why don't I tell you what we know so far?" Emma offered. Kitty eagerly nodded her head. Skipping over Nihilego, since Kitty had already seen it and knew quite a bit about it, she pointed to a poster of a strange red, bug-like creature. "This is UB-02a: Absorption or Buzzwole. We think that it's most likely a Bug/Fighting type."

"That thing's ripped!" Kitty exclaimed in shock.

"Trust me, it's very proud of its body," Emma dryly noted. "It flexes constantly."

Kitty snickered at the thought of the bug man flexing on the scientists. "So what's next?"

Emma pointed at another poster. It was another bug-like creature, only far more slender and feminine. "UB-02b: Beauty or Pheromosa. It's also a Bug/Fighting type."

"Wait really?" Kitty asked. "How come?"

"It's good at beating people up," Emma noted. "It doesn't like touching anything or anything touching it." Kitty could only nod in understanding. Taking that as a cue to move on, Emma pointed at the next one. It looked to be made of wires. "UB-03: Lightning aka Xurkitree."

"It kinda looks like a Christmas tree!" Kitty cheered with a clap.

"It kinda does," Emma noted with a chuckle. "It's a pure electric type. We found out that it actually energizes itself with more electricity."

"That makes a lot of sense," Kitty replied. She pointed at another poster. On it was a large Pokémon with what looks like rockets on its floating arms and where legs would have been. "What's this thing?"

"That would be Celesteela, also known as UB-04a: Blaster," Emma explained. "It's insanely fast when it flies. Flying/Steel type."

"This one looks like origami!" Kitty exclaimed as she pointed at the next poster. Sure enough, it looked like an origami samurai.

"That would be UB-04b or Kartana," Emma explained, hands laced behind her back. "It's small, but super powerful. I've seen it slice through just about everything."

"Steel/Bug type?" Kitty asked.

"Close. Steel/Grass," Emma explained. "Believe me, I thought it should have been Steel/Grass too. Got overruled by the other scientists." She then pointed towards the next poster. It was a large creature with a gaping mouth. "UB-05: Glutton, otherwise known as Guzzlord."

"Let me guess, big eater?" Kitty asked.

"No kidding," Emma replied. "It's a Dark/Dragon type and it will eat anything. Surprisingly, it's not actually that messy."

"Huh," Kitty noted. She then looked at the next picture. It was Poipole. But was surprised Kitty was the dragon like creature with same colors as Poipole of it. "Em? What is that?"

"So funny story. We learned that Poipole is actually part of an evolutionary line. Meet UB-Stringer, otherwise known as Naganadel." Emma explained.

"Ultra Beasts can evolve?" Kitty asked.

"They are Pokémon. Just not from our world," Emma reminded her sister.

"So are you going to keep exploring the Ultra Wormholes?" Kitty asked.

"Yep!" Emma replied with a grin. "There's infinite worlds out there! And I'm gonna record the Pokémon in all of them!" Kitty just smiled. Her sister was such a nerd, but her devotion to things she loved was something to admire.

Speaking of other worlds, next time, Emma's gonna explore a world similar to her own, but with quite a few differences.
