Gamelover41592: Totally
Matt (Guest): Oh totally. And I did...
So I think it's time I explore some more universe traveling. And since Kitty got the last focus, it's Emma's turn and I think you're all gonna like this one. Emma is 22 and Kitty is 19, so memories soon!
"Hmmm, interesting," Emma said to herself as she walked along. Her research had taken her to many strange places, where she had seen many strange places, along with stranger people. But this, hands down, had to be the strangest.
And it was the same as her home.
She had discovered a strange colored Ultra Wormhole (it was almost tie-dye). Against her normal feelings of self preservation, she flew into it. She was surprised to find herself back at the Altar of the Sunne. Only it was called the Altar of the Moone. Deciding to explore, Emma found that almost everyone seemed to have a counterpart in this new universe. Everyone other than her and Kitty. Taking their place in the adventure was a young boy named Elio, who had arrived from Kanto and had taken part in the Island Challenge. From there, he helped Lillie defeat Lusamine, who had apparently fused with a Nihilego, with the help of Nebby, here a Lunala.
"What the hell happened with that?" Emma internally questioned as she overheard the conversation between Gladion and Hau relating to it. From there, she had learned that Elio was the champion and that Lillie was traveling to Kanto in hopes of curing her mother. Everyone was still the same age as when Emma and Kitty had done their challenge, so maybe she had also been sent into an earlier point in this universe? Shaking her head, she decided to keep exploring. Thankfully, since she lacked a counterpart, she could walk around freely. She was asked a few times about her lab coat, but she could simply play it off as being from another region.
"Cin?" Incineroar questioned. He was just as confused as his trainer.
"Trust me, buddy, I don't get it either," Emma noted. "But before we leave, there's one more thing I want to check out."
"Incina!" Incineroar flexed happily. No matter what, he'd protect Emma.
She smiled. "Thanks Incineroar. No idea what I'd do without you," She held up her fist, and Incineroar gleefully gave her a fist bump.
"Here we are…" Emma trailed off. She wanted to test her theory. Namely, that since the Altar had changed names, the Lake of the Moone would be the Lake of the Sunne. Sure enough, she was right. Looking around, she found Nebby's Pokéball shaking. She quickly tossed it out. Suddenly, a Lunala came out of nowhere.
"ROAR!" Incineroar snapped as he jumped in front of his trainer. The two legendaries, however, paid them no mind. They touched their heads and suddenly, a Cosmog formed. Lunala then vanished, while Nebby led the Cosmog over to Emma.
"What…?" Emma was stunned. This was just about the last thing she was expecting! Glancing back to where the legends were, she noticed two Z-Crystals. She quickly grabbed them and shoved them into her bag. She had so many questions.
"Emma, are you gonna sleep or not?" Lillie questioned as she walked in. Once she returned from her latest expedition into the Ultra Wormhole, Emma had been looking over various files for several hours. The new Cosmog was floated around the lab without a care in the world, causing Lillie to gasp.
"Right...guess I should explain that," Emma replied. "Short version, I found an alternate version of Alola where Kitty and I don't exist and you were helped by some kid named Elio. I went to their version of the Lake of the Moone and I got the Cosmog there."
"Oh…" Lillie trailed off, trying to process that. Cosmog promptly floated over to her and Lillie found that old habits die hard, causing her to happily scoop up Cosmog. "I did miss it when Nebby was this small."
"Me too," Emma admitted before turning serious. "But that's not what I'm studying. Basically, I think there might be a full on multiverse and the possibilities are endless. Hell, there might be universes out there where there aren't Pokémon!...Sorry if this is too much for you."
"With what I've seen, a multiverse doesn't sound too crazy," Lillie admitted as she looked over the Cosmog. "Do you think Cosmog could help Necrozma?"
"That's what I'm hoping," Emma admitted. "But let's keep this whole multiverse quiet, okay? I don't know how much I want the general public to learn about it."
Lillie nodded in understanding. "Okay, but can we tell people or does it have to stay between us."
"We can tell some people," Emma assured her. "I was actually planning to tell Kitty myself."
"You two really can't keep anything from each other, can you?" Lillie asked with an assumed smile.
"Hey, we're siblings," Emma replied before yawning. "And I think it's time I go to bed."
"How about you sleep here? I don't think it's safe for you to fly like this," Lillie offered as Emma recalled Cosmog.
"Sounds good," Emma replied with a smile as the girls walked out of the lab.
Yep. One of the good guys now knows about the fact there are alternate universes without getting their memories back. Sure, she's still mostly in the dark, but Emma still knows more than a lot of people. And speaking of getting memories back well...I think you get the idea.
