So, this is a little late? At this point, I'm thinking updates are just always going to be this scattered. The writing muse hits me hard, but very spaced out and at the worst times, so it's hard to motivate myself. We'll see, I guess. Either way, I'm really excited for this one. I have some very interesting ideas about this one that I can't wait to tell you about! They're in the bottom notes. I hope you enjoy reading!

King Rhoam Bosphoramus Hyrule was, by all definitions, a good king. He was a great public speaker, a master tactician, and a strict disciplinarian. He had to be, for running a kingdom was not for the weak hearted. A strong figure was the best to make the hard decisions, keeping the kingdom's best interests in mind. He raised his daughter with the intent of bringing forth her full potential.

Though this was obvious to many, and an excuse many more used, the fact was that the King of Hyrule was human. People are fragile and tumultuous, their moods and opinions as fragile as glass. They are hardened by different experiences, raised by opinions settled within them from the youngest of ages. They settle into roles based on these experiences, and while they may vary, one thing is true. These experiences and roles create a person, an individual. King Rhoam was no different.

Holding many roles, many people counted on him, and he knew this. A former general and master tactician, King, widowed husband, and arguably the most important, father.

This brings up the subject of his utterly brilliant daughter, Princess Zelda. Now, from a distance, it may seem that Rhoam was a good, just father with an out of control daughter, fixed on her one obsession to escape working for her goddess blood birthright. Though the people loved her for her work among them, she was seen as distracted. What they didn't know, however, was that she was not being taught how to run a kingdom by her father, instead learning on her own.

Many pitied the King, others critical of his inability to get the Princess to focus. Others still felt bad for the princess, but very few knew the truth of her struggles. Though these few understood the King's thought process, they also understood that he was not fulfilling one of his roles.

Both his fatherly duties and his kingly ones were being ignored, and his daughter, the brilliant Princess Zelda, was suffering for it. Though historians would come up with many reasons for the ensuing chain of events, this was the biggest one. After all, if he couldn't be a good parent, how could he possibly run a kingdom?

And such began the superseding of the crown.

So, uh... Well, I'll leave you to decide what that ending means for now, but I do have at least one sequel planned for this! Don't worry, I won't leave you guys there! I keep getting struck by inspiration though, so this very may well turn into it's own fic. I'm excited to see where this goes, but let me know what you guys think of that! I have like 5 WIPs at the moment, but I just keep saying I'll do them next, soooo... I don't know where this is going to go. Either way, I hope you enjoyed! Again, this whole collection is kind of a writing exercise for me and I want to improve, so let me know how I did! Talk to me on Tumblr! I'm songbirdstargazer there, my blog is I write I guess-
