RWBY Halloween
October 31st, a day we all recognize as the spookiest day of the year. Throughout the kingdoms everyone was preparing to dress up and celebrate a time where we can dress as whatever and whoever we choose to be, and that was especially true within the walls of Beacon. The halls were decorated in black and orange as holographic ghosts roamed the halls due to the new projection system my brother built a week ago. Students were busy putting the final touches on their various costumes and I was no different as I was in my dorm with Yang finishing up my new suit for tonight's party while she was sitting on my bed reading from my extensive manga collection.
Yang: Thanks for letting me hangout with you in your dorm babe, I needed a break from Ruby constantly reminding everyone around her that it's her birthday today.
Carlos: Don't worry about it, besides I know how you feel since it's also Jonathan's birthday too.
Yang: That's right I remembered you mentioned that to me before. Just when I thought it couldn't get worse, now there's two of them.
She then proceeded to bury her head in my pillow while I chuckled as I continued sewing up my white cape for tonight. I looked back at my diagram on my desk to make sure I was doing it right since not only would this be my Halloween costume but also a new suit to add to my wardrobe.
Carlos: Anyway Yang, have you gotten a gift for Ruby yet?
Yang: Yeah I picked it up a few days ago, hopefully she'll be too distracted with getting as much candy as possible that she won't have time to go snooping around our dorm.
Carlos: Speaking of candy are we all still meeting up to go trick or treating before the party?
Yang: Sort of, Weiss said that she's going to be busy putting the finishing touches for the party so she won't be joining us, but she did say that she'll meet us there when we come back.
Carlos: Okay so aside from Weiss its you, Ruby, Blake, my team and Velvet.
Yang: Don't forget Jaune, Nora and Ren. Even Oscar is coming over to hang out with us tonight. He said he'll be running a little late so he'll meet us in the city.
For the rest of the day there really wasn't much to do other than wait for the sun to go down so we could have some fun. Once the time had arrived we all began getting ready.
In team RWBY's dorm the girls had just finished putting on their costumes.
Ruby dressed as Mikasa from Attack on Titan, she even had replica swords with her but in all honesty I thought they were real since I was told she almost accidentally cut some of Yang's hair when she was playing with them earlier that day.
Ruby: This is going to be the best night ever! I love this time of year!
Weiss dressed as a mad scientist complete with with a lab coat, goggles and even makeup to look as though she was covered in dirt. She even did her hair to make it look wild and unkempt.
Weiss: Just keep in mind that everyone wants to have fun tonight, it's not just about you Ruby.
Blake dressed as Zelda from Breath of the Wild. Her hair had been done by Weiss and she even wore some elf ears over her human ones.
Blake: I'm just looking forward to the party tonight. After the busy week we've had it's time we had some fun for a change.
Yang dressed as Bowsette complete with fake horns, tail, spiked shell and crown. From what she told me she made all the accessories herself and it turned out really well.
Yang: Well let's not keep the others waiting. Come on girls it's time to trick or treat!
As they left for the courtyard Weiss left for the ballroom to finish up preparations for the party while the others met up with the rest of us. By the time they got there they got a look at what each of us were wearing, except for me since I was busy getting into position.
Jaune: Hey girls, those costumes look great.
Jaune was dressed as Captain America, he even had a replica shield and had his hair perfectly styled. Nora decided to dress as Thor from the MCU since she was adamant on being someone who was similar to her while Ren was dressed as Ryu from Street Fighter.
Nora: Yeah, this is going to be an awesome night!
Ren: Agreed. Let's just remember not to go overboard.
Nora: Awww, not even a little?
Velvet: I just can't wait for the party, and to see everyone in costume.
Velvet was wearing a uniform and robes as if she attended Hogwarts, not that surprising since she's been a fan of the movies since I hosted movie night with the others a month ago.
Finally there was us in team AVGR.
Penny was dressed as the pink ranger Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers while Neo dressed as Nero from the Fate series, she even used her semblance to make her eyes and hair match perfectly.
Penny: Looks like everyone has finally arrived, too bad Weiss couldn't join us.
Jonathan: At least she gave us a heads up, nothing worse than people not telling you anything until the last minute.
Jonathan decided to match with Neo and dressed as another Fate character, more specifically he dressed as his favorite character Archer complete with a red coat and a white wig that was styled perfectly, he even used his nanotech and semblance to make it appear as if his weapons were summoned by magic.
Blake: Wait, where's Carlos? Isn't he joining us?
Yang: He should be, when I was hanging out with him in his dorm he was busy finishing up his costume.
They didn't have to wait long as I spotted them from my position. I took a deep breath and yelled as loud as I could.
Carlos: Hey, up here!!!!
They looked up at the top of Beacon to see a figure in a white hood with his cape swaying in the breeze, he was clinging at the highest point before he jumped down and started falling at high speed before swinging to safety with a web before landing stylishly on the ground.
Carlos: As Yang would say, nailed it.
I stood before everyone as Arachknight, the amalgamation of Spider-Man and Moon Knight.
Carlos: So, what do you guys think? Pretty cool huh?
Ruby then circled around me as she began complimenting me on my new suit, after calming her down we all took the bullhead into the city to begin trick or treating.
The whole city was decorated with lights, streamers, balloons as well as various other items like tombstones, skeletons and lots of pumpkins. People were walking around in costumes enjoying their time out with friends and family. Little kids wearing adorable costumes could be heard laughing and enjoying themselves while the older kids were having a blast scaring their friends in more elaborate outfits. Even some of the grown ups were getting into the holiday spirit as they wore some pretty cool costumes themselves.
Nora: This is awesome! We are totally gonna get ourselves a mountain of candy at this rate!
Ruby: Yeah! Let's go, there's no time to waste!
Nora: Bet I can score more candy than you Ruby!
Ruby: No way, especially if I use my secret weapon!
Yang: Ruby we've talked about this. You can't use the fact it's your birthday to get people to give you more candy. Save some for the rest of us.
Ruby: ( groaning ) Fiiiiiiiiiine. ( whispering ) Buzz kill.
Yang: I heard that!
While the two of them ran ahead to get started on collecting candy the rest of us took our time so we could enjoy our evening. After a couple of houses we decided to take a break at the park, it was here that we met up with Oscar who came dressed in a replica of the armor that Ozma wore during his travels.
Oscar: This is really nice. Being able to enjoy the holidays and not having to worry about the fate of the world is a welcome change.
Carlos: Agreed.
Velvet: I still can't believe all that happened only a matter of months ago. You wouldn't think that based on how everyone is celebrating.
While we just relaxed I looked over to the others who were trading pieces of candy with each other to get what they wanted. We then continued to a few more houses before we decided to head back to the party.
On our way back we kept getting asked by people to take photos with them as they were impressed with our costumes. My brother and I even got asked by some kids to take pictures with them as they wore costumes based on my spider suits as well as Jonathan's armor.
Carlos: I didn't think we would ever be this popular.
Jonathan: What did you expect, we're superhero's after all. Besides who wouldn't want to take a picture with me?
Suddenly we heard people screaming and running away from something. At first we thought that they were simply getting scared by some kids pulling a prank on them, until we saw a car heading towards us from the sky.
Carlos: Look out!
We all dodged in time to see the car crash into the pavement, we then felt the ground beneath our feet beginning to shake as we saw our perpetrator. A Geist had taken over some of the pavement as it had constructed a humanoid body of stone with some tree trunks for legs and cars for its arms.
Carlos: You have got to be kidding me.
Jonathan: I know right. This isn't how I planned on celebrating my birthday.
Ruby: Me too, did anyone remember to bring their weapons?
Most of the group shook their heads so we decided to split up. Right now the only ones who could fight were myself, Jonathan, Penny, and Ruby while everyone else were in charge of evacuating any civilians away from the area.
Carlos: Alright guys, let's take this creep down!
Ruby charged head first with her semblance so she could attack with her swords, the sharp blades were enough to slice through its legs but it began to regenerate before long. Jonathan created a bow and arrow as he kept the creature distracted while Penny summoned her swords and attacked from above. While this was happening I did my best to keep it in place by webbing up its legs and arms whenever I had the chance.
Ruby: This isn't working! He keeps regenerating too quickly for me to make any lasting damage!
Jonathan: Try using your eyes! Maybe you can weaken it enough to do some damage!
Carlos: Good call! Penny while Ruby focuses on the legs the two of us will go for its arms!
Penny: Affirmative!
Ruby used her semblance to trick the Geist into slamming the ground, as it missed she then used the mystical power of her silver eyes. A quick flash of light stunned the Grimm long enough for the three of us to attack its limbs, Ruby's blades went through the wood like it was nothing while my talons and Penny's swords easily sliced off its arms as it then fell to the ground unable to hold itself up anymore.
Jonathan: Nice work, let me finish it off.
Before he could take the shot roots began to rapidly grow from underground as it rose up in sharp spires. The roots gathered around the body as it wrapped itself tightly while rebuilding its arms and legs. Soon its lower body had four legs made of wood and concrete while it grew four new arms from scrap metal and stone with wood holding it in between making it more flexible than before.
Carlos: That's new.
The Geist charged at us as we managed to avoid it, while I was trying to encase its limbs in webbing one of its arms got a hold of me as it threw me to the ground and slammed two of its arms down on me. I got up and luckily I held its arms above me as I struggled to hold it off.
Carlos: ( groaning ) Can someone give me a hand!
I then felt myself grow heavier as it slammed its other arms on top of the first two making the pavement crater beneath me.
Carlos: That's not what I meant!
Ruby: Hang on big bro!
Ruby tried to attack its mask but the Geist wasn't about to leave itself wide open, with a loud roar it caused a spire of wood to rise from the ground and smack her away. As it receded it turned out it actually came from its lower back and acted as its tail.
Penny: Ruby are you okay!
Ruby: Yeah, but what are we gonna do about the Grimm.
Jonathan: Don't worry, I have an idea.
While taking aim he created a spiral tipped arrow that was infused with some spare hard light dust he had. He notched his arrow as he focused on his target.
Jonathan: Better brace yourself webhead, this might hurt.
Carlos: What do mean-... oh no! You better not be thinking about what I think you're thinking!
Jonathan: ( smirk ) Heads up. Caladbolg!
The arrow he let loose flew at such high speed that it shone with a streak of light and a sharp whistling sound followed. Once contact had been made an explosion of force blew the creature apart in seconds, with me being buried in the rubble.
Carlos: ( muffled ) A little help please!
Seconds later and I was finally free from my concrete tomb.
Carlos: ( groaning ) My aching... everything, that hurt.
Jonathan: On the bright side it's all over. Not a bad test run for my first time with a bow and arrow huh.
Carlos: I hate you.
Before we could leave the remains started to float in the air as they tried to reassemble themselves. The Geist's mask was seen attached to a separate piece of concrete as it floated higher into the air.
Carlos: Come on! Getting blasted to bits wasn't enough to stop this thing!
Ruby: Looks like it, anyone got any bright ideas?
Jonathan: Just one, but I'm gonna need some room.
We all figured it was just a good idea to simply listen at this point so we gave him all the space he needed. With some of his tech he quickly put small land mines around the reforming Grimm as it created a barrier around it that used gravity dust to hold it down. While it struggled to get itself back up my brothers eyes glowed with an intense bright blue as he put his right hand over his heart and closed his eyes.
Jonathan: I am the bone of my sword.
Suddenly small lights appeared outside the barrier that took on the forms of several different types of weapons. Swords, axes, spears and so many more began increasing in number as the Geist started to look up to see all weapons pointed straight at it.
Jonathan: Steel is my body and fire is my blood.I have created over a thousand blades.
The weapon constructs began glowing brightly as the energy they gave off produced small arcs of electricity.
Ruby: Woah, how is he doing that? It's so cool!
Penny: From my scans he's using nanotech and hard light dust to create these weapons as if from thin air.
Carlos: Not surprising considering the costume he's wearing tonight. This oughta be good.
Jonathan: Unknown to death nor known to life. Have withstood pain to create many weapons, yet those hands will never hold anything. So as I pray...
He motioned his hands forward as he opened his eyes with a fierce intensity as the light from both his eyes and the weapon constructs glowed brighter than ever.
Jonathan: Unlimited Blade Works!
Like a rain of light every weapon came crashing into the Geist as it was completely helpless to stop it. Every one hitting their target with absolute accuracy and the sounds of rubble and metal reduced to mere scraps rang out. Once we were met with silence all we could see was a cloud of dust and black smoke within the barrier, and once it was put down the cloud had dissipated and nothing was left behind.
Jonathan: And that's how you take out the trash.
We just stood with our mouths hanging open as we tried to process what just happened. Once we made sure that the threat was over and no civilians were hurt we regrouped with the others and continued on our way to the party. Once we arrived we could hear the sounds of music playing as students and staff were seen having a great time. The room was lit with flashing lights and a fog machine gave the ballroom a mysterious atmosphere. There was food and drinks as well as piles of candy. We even caught Goodwitch dressed as an actual witch talking with Prof. Peach who dressed as a mummy while Weiss was coming over to us to greet us.
Weiss: I heard about what happened in town on the news. Glad to see you guys are okay.
Carlos: For the most part, but right now I just want to party.
Yang: Then let's hit the dance floor Spidey! Your queen wants to dance with her knight~.
She gave me a flirty wink and smile as she grabbed onto my arm. Suddenly my senses started to tingle as I felt my other arm getting held extra tightly as I turned to see Blake with a slightly jealous expression.
Blake: That sounds nice, but I'll let him do that after he dances with his princess first. Right honey~?
This was the first time I have seen them compete over me. Jonathan was laughing with the others until Penny and Neo started grabbing his arms as they began glaring at each other.
Before long we were simply enjoying ourselves as we enjoyed the music and the company. There was even a candy apple eating contest which Ruby won with ease. We even cheered on Neptune dressed as a pirate who won at bobbing for apples, ironic I know. After about 2 hours Goodwitch went up on stage to make an announcement, this was the signal that Penny, Weiss and I were waiting for as we stepped out for a bit.
Goodwitch: Good evening students, first I would like to thank you all for joining us this night. I also would like to extend my gratitude to the students who volunteered to help set up our celebration.
The students began clapping to thank everyone who helped make the party possible as well as thanking Ms. Goodwitch for allowing us to have such a great time tonight.
Goodwitch: Now I would like to call miss Rose and mister Stark to join me on stage.
The two of them walked up to join her as the spotlight shined on them both.
Goodwitch: It has come to my attention that today is a special day for the two of you. And so as a special surprise both of your teammates have planned something for the two of you tonight.
As the three of us entered the ballroom we were also wheeling in a giant multilayered cake decorated in orange and black frosting with the words Happy Birthday written on the side and candles already lit on the top layer. We brought it up closer to the stage as everyone gathered around and once we were set we all began singing for the two of them. After they blew out the candles we began cutting up the cake and shared with everyone, so far it looked like our celebration was going smoothly until Velvet pulled Jonathan and me to the side and judging by the look on her face something serious was about to happen.
Carlos: Velvet what's wrong, you look really freaked out.
Velvet: It's team CRDL, I overheard them saying something about pulling a prank during the party.
Jonathan: That explains those weird capsules I threw out.
He then explained how when we entered the ballroom he found several metal capsules hidden around the party. He then ran a quick scan to find out that they were makeshift stink bombs so he quickly got rid of them before they could go off.
Carlos: Well if that's the case then we're all good, now let's continue to enjoy the party.
Jonathan: Or we could have some fun with this.
One look at his smirk and I knew this was going to be a good plan. After a quick explanation to everyone else in the ballroom we set ourselves up for a special trick for team CRDL which doubled as a treat, for us at least.
When the doors of the ballroom suddenly opened Cardin and his team, dressed as zombies, came in laughing as if they just pulled the prank of the century. They saw all of us on the ground unconscious as they thought we were knocked out by the smell from their stink bombs. Unfortunately for them the scent they caught definitely wasn't what they were expecting.
Dove: Hey Cardin, are you sure you made those stink bombs right? It smells kind of weird in here.
Cardin: Whatever, just look at all these dorks. This is gonna be like taking candy from a baby.
I had to resist the urge to groan over how easy that joke was, but I bit my tongue since I didn't want to ruin our surprise.
Just then music started to softly play in the background, and as it grew louder the strange scent in the air became much more noticeable as it was soon identified as the scent of ink. They saw our bodies turn black as a strange liquid substance covered us from head to toe as we got up one by one and walked towards them as if we became mindless monsters. Our eyes glowed white as we dripped ink on the floor with every step, our groans becoming louder to the point where you could only hear that and the music.

The look of sheer horror on their faces was priceless, but we weren't done yet. As they ran for the door they suddenly slammed shut. They began running for cover only for them to be cut off by the ink creatures surrounding them.
CRDL: RUN!!!!!!
Trapped within these walls
You left our souls to drip away.
The ink decays, the walls at bay
But the reckoning has come today

" Boris has no guts 'cause you replaced it with mechanical strain. "
We've been tortured but we move forward
This disorder kills your day!
As they tried running away to freedom the room suddenly expanded to look much larger than before, no matter how hard they ran all the exits seemed to get further away with every step they took.

The walls of the ballroom changed to look like planks of wood as the walls and floor began to flood in ink as well. Team CRDL felt the ink weigh them down as they began to panic. Suddenly a spotlight shone on the opposite side of the room, the crowd of ink creatures dispersed as they saw two figures walk slowly towards them. One was a female in a black dress with a halo on top of her head and small horns. The most noticeable thing about her was her face as half of it looked melted.
The other figure was some kind of ink demon with a slight limp in his step as he pointed a finger at the four of them all while giving them a demented smile exposing his sharp teeth.
Bendy: So you found all of the pieces to initiate the pain.
Our venom stains, the night remains
But the ending is always just the same, no gain.
Nod your head to the best of death as you draw your last eternal breath.
Sensations of an invasion start to course right through your veins.
You say we have no brains
We're just cartoons for your portrayal
To tell some tale about a boat and sail
But sure, this inevitably unveils the fail.
Splashes of eternal hate will flood the floor and clean your slate.
Now we're the tools and you're the fool. Our nightmare dominates.
They we so frozen in fear they didn't realize they were get dragged towards the pair until it was too late. They fell to the floor with a thud as they struggled against their captors as they were helpless to do anything about it. The creatures seemed to cheer in delight as their victims kept screaming to be let go, but it wasn't going to be that easy if they wanted to escape alive.
Bendy: I am alive, immortalized.

The unknown creature stepped closer as his smile grew even wider, suddenly the whole room became dark as the only sound was of team CRDL breathing heavily.
Suddenly the creature from before looked even more like a monster than before, his new height dwarfed them as they felt helpless before his presence. The lights returned and showed all the other creatures bowing to Bendy as he was their king.
Bendy: I am aware that your soul is now divine.
We care to not toil with unbroken chains.
So don't toil with our like he did to our shining stars.
So prepare for adventure
We're a whole new creature from the darkest side.
You can't take away the pain we feel
Created as monsters that come back to life!
Bendy bent down to take one last look at the four training huntsmen, he gave one last smile before opening his mouth ready to devour them. Cardin and his buddies fought off their fear as they made one last attempt to escape. Hands emerged from the ground to grab hold of them but they simply jumped out of they way as they did their best to flee.
Bendy: So you've come to the end now.
Alive but dead inside
The heart beats loud
You've joined our crowd
We are but punished serpentines.
Your life with him was fun but now the terror's only just begun.
Now come with me and you will see
We are a new-born cyanide!
They finally burst free through the doors as they ran away screaming all the way back to their dorm. The ballroom began to change back as the holographic projectors shut down. All the decorations and guests began changing back as we laughed at the awesome prank we just pulled.
Bendy: I am alive, immortalized.

The final projection shut down turning Alice Angel back into Ruby and Bendy was revealed to be Jonathan with a satisfied look on his face. The crowd erupted into cheers as they got the chance to participate in what was probably the greatest example of a Halloween trick in history.
Us: Happy Birthday Jonathan and Ruby!
Jonathan: Thanks everyone. Now that we got that out of the way...
Ruby: Let's party!!
So the rest of the night went off without a hitch. Memories were made and laughs were heard all around. All in all it was awesome.
Carlos: By the way, where did you throw those capsules away to?
For the next three weeks team CRDL had to stay away from everyone since the stink bombs were actually set off in their dorm. The moment they closed the door when they thought they were safe it went off completely covering them.
Jonathan: Just goes to show you, never mess with my birthday.
Carlos: True. Let's see what next year has planned for us.
Jonathan: Already looking forward to it bro.
( Years later... )
Blake: Kanna, Yui are you two almost ready? We need to get going if we want to make it to your uncle's birthday party tonight. I know you don't want to leave your cousins alone with all that candy.
Kanna/Yui: Coming!
Blake was in the living room dressed as a shrine maiden waiting for the rest of us to finish getting dressed for my brothers costume party tonight. It also doubled as his and Ruby's birthday party since this year he was hosting it at his place. Suddenly she heard two sets of footsteps running down and saw Yui dressed in a Princess Rosalina costume with a wand, crown and a star plush toy. Kanna came in dressed in a replica of the black suit that she asked me to make for her with a specially made mask so her hair could still be seen as it only covered her face.
Kanna: We're ready mama.
Yui: Can we go now?
Blake: We're just waiting for your father, he shouldn't be long.
Yang: What's this? Looks like I am going to have my fun tonight after all~.
Yang came in dressed as Bowsette again as she had an evil smirk on her face.
Yang: A shrine maiden, a princess, and only one little superhero to protect them~.
Kanna played along as she stood in front of Blake and Yui protectively as they were behind her.
Kanna: Stay right there! You don't know who you're messing with!
Yang: Oh~. And who's going to stop me? You?
Carlos: No, that would be me!
I jumped between the two in my black suit as Kanna and Yui hugged my legs while trying to look intimidating to Yang, but instead they just looked adorable that she broke her character and acted like a loving mother.
Yang: Oh I can't take it anymore, you're just so adorable! Come to mama!
Yang chased them as they ran away while giggling. While this was happening Blake was laughing to herself as she hugged my side, she then lifted my mask to give me a kiss on the cheek before the girls ran to us to hide behind.
Blake: Alright everyone, I know you're having fun but we need to get going if we want to avoid traffic.
Yang: Okay. But daddy has to dance with me first tonight.
Blake: Only after he dances with me first.
Yui/Kanna: What about us?!
Carlos: ( Here we go again. )
