Chapter 5: Hunted

Hunting
It is defined as the activity of stalking after wild animals for food or sport.
For Neo Queen Serenity, she soon began to realize that she herself was indeed the prey that was being hunted. Her body was hutched up against the door to the treasure room trying so desperately to keep any other perusers away from her. Her forehead perspired, while her heart slammed against the walls of her body. The blood that stained her dress as she looked down made it hard for her to concentrate on not being afraid.
In reality she was terrified.
Terrified of what was going to happen when he found her.
It all started when she woke up to start the day, like normal Serenity found herself spending time with her darling husband and daughter. She had expected to hang out with friends, address her subjects and go through the usual calm but boring tasks of royalty.
But then it happened.
Her guards had informed her of someone opening the time space door in order to come into the palace. At first she thought that her trusted solider, Sailor Pluto was finally returning home.
How wrong she had been.
The Royal family, the Sailor Scouts and all the other patrons of the castle were soon shocked as Captain Kyanite and his Negamoon Pirates soon jumped out the portal. The group wasted no time and soon in invaded throughout the castle grounds. They're one goal being to try and capture the members of the royal family.
As the Sailor Scouts did battle with the pirates, King Darien, Princess Rini and Queen Serenity where separated to different parts of the castle in order to protect them. The two guards that protected Serenity took her to the only place that was available on such short notice, the Treasure room.
The Treasure room was one of the most luxurious rooms that was owned by the Royal Family and was often visited by outsiders just to awe in the wealth of the Silver Millennium. The entire treasure room was spacious, the size of two master bedrooms. Toward the back of the room were four or more dozen wooden treasures chests that were overfilled with diamonds, money and gold. Around the room were statues of the Sailor Guardians that were made out of the different minerals such as Sapphires,Rubies, Emeralds, etc. The middle of the room contained a diamond prop replica of Crystal Tokyo alongside a glass statue of King Darrien and Neo Queen Serenity.
This room was the perfect room to take a tour in or even find some relaxation, but at this exact moment Neo Queen Serenity found herself on edge. All she could think about is where he might be; all she could do is hope that he dare not find her.
"Halt right there!"
All hope she had was shot down like a duck in the sky as she heard the voice of her guards address someone outside.
"Stop in the name of the Moon Kingdom!"
After the second guard forcefully tried to order the intruder out, what was to follow were loud grunts, steel on steel clashing and a few fires of gun shots. Serenity backed away from the door not sure what to expect from the fighting, she soon got her answer however as fresh blood oozed out from underneath the door.
The door to the Treasure room soon fell helplessly to the ground, revealing the Mad Captain and the two butchered bodies he left behind on the ground. "Here's Kyanite!"
After all these years, after all the rage, all the suffering and madness, he finally caught up to her. They said he was crazy for embarking on a single-minded goal of revenge but after all this time he managed to prove them wrong, he finally was within arms length of his target. This time she wasn't going to cast him aside, this time he would finally get his just due for all the wrongdoing she had done to him.
Neo Queen Serenity fell inaudibly as she gawked at the Captain. Her eyes were transfixed on him as if she were trying to read his mind. With her guards dead it was just her and him, while she couldn't even fathom what he was going to do to her she still hoped for a way out of this situation.
"You know I love what you've done with the palace, it's changed so much since the last time I was here!" He spoke in a coy manner as he walked around the treasure room while eyeing all the artifacts he could pocket once he was finished with her. "By the way how long has it been since I've been here, maybe two or three eons?"
The Queen did not answer merely kept silent as she plotted the means to an end.
"I honestly don't remember myself, but then again one does lose track of time when one is stuck in the lava mines of Xoa 5!"
The Queen still not whisper a word.
"Like I said I really love the palace, it's like better homes and gardens meets high class benevolent ruler whose secretly a lying backstabbing wench!"
Her lips still refused to open and address him.
"What's a matter, cat got your tounge?" He wondered. "You had plenty to say before you lied to the judge and all your other loyal subjects!"
"What do you want from me?" She finally asked.
The query from Serenity hit Kyanite like a bag of bricks. His face fell flat in shock before it contorted into a wicked almost evil grin. After all this time, she dare still pretend like she did nothing wrong. That question single handedly offended him more then anyone has ever did in his life. Of all the nerve and audacity, she had to even take up that tone with him, it truly cut through his pride. She brushed him off as if he weren't even much of a threat.
"Look if you want my treasure just take it and-."
Kyanite raised his gun and fired a single bullet toward Serenity. The Queen stood in terror as the bullet hotly grazed passed her cheek and lodged itself into a nearby wall. After it was determined that she was safe, Captain Kyanite went on a shooting spree throughout the room, firing bullet after bullet into the statues of the Sailor Soldiers.
Each of the specially made statues were hit by a single bullet causing them to crumble into a million pieces, Kyanite would continue this until all of the statues were destroyed and the floor was nothing but sea of broken minerals.
"How dare you!" He chuckled manically. "This whole ordeal is your fault, yet you think I can be bought with your measly trinkets."
"Whatever your price is, I'll pay it anything for you to leave me alone!"
"Quiet!" Captain Kyanite shouted as he slammed the butt of his pistol in Serenity's face. Serenity's backed away as she held her nose which was now heavily dripping droplets of plasma.
"If you want to kill me than go right ahead!" Even though battered Serenity still refused to give into the fear she felt for Kyanite. For her family and her Kingdom, she had to stay strong willed, at least until help arrived and took him out for good.
"We both know I can't kill you!" He replied softly. "As much as I'd love to lodge a bullet in your head, I've got better plans for you. You see Queenie; you cheated me, you enslaved me, you destroyed every chance I had for a normal life, the way I see the only way for this to be fixed is for me to take everything from you."
"Captain, Captain-." One of Kyanite's Negamoon Pirates suddenly rushed into the room. "Captain we must go the Sailor Scouts have-."
But the pirate couldn't get the message across as Kyanite raised his gun once more and shot the man point blank in the head, his body falling to the ground with the other two dead soldiers.
"Y-you killed him!"
Kyanite shrugged. "I was monologuing, he shouldn't have interrupted."
"Your nothing but a mad dog, you know that Kyanite!"
"A mad dog you created your highness, and this so called mad dog is going to rule eternity."
"The Sailor Scouts will stop you!" She declared.
"Oh please don't be such a cliche Serenity." He scolded. "You didn't think I came half way across the galaxy without a plan for your little cheerleading squad did you?"
"I don't understand."
"Don't worry your pretty little head about it." He answered. "The only thing you need to know is that I'm going to finish off the Sailor Scouts. Once all of you have been dealt with, I'll use the Silver Crystal to give me the one artifact that will allow me to raid the riches of the universe!"
"Captain, Captain!" An annoyed Captain Kyanite rolled his eyes as he heard more of his soldiers calling out his name. He look toward the door to see five soldiers with worried expressions on they're faces. "Captain we need to evacuate, the Sailor Scouts are using there powers to purify the palace."
"Damnit!" He cursed. He thought he had a little bit more time before the Sailor Scouts caught onto him. Now that they were using their powers at full potency, he had to wrap up his job here and get back to his own time. "What about King Darien and the brat?"
"Were still searching for them Captain, but if we don't hurry we'll be caught up in the Sailor Scouts attack!"
"Fine, fine." He said defeated. "Grab her and the treasure!"
Before Queen Serenity could try and make a break for it, two soldiers had grabbed her hands and escorted her out of the treasure room. The ruler of Crystal Tokyo gave Captain Kyanite one final glare before she was taken into the pirates custody.
"What is the plan of action now Captain?" Another pirate questioned as he picked up one of the overweight treasure chests.
"Round up the troops and meet me at the palace basement ASAP!"
"Yes sir!"
Captain Kyanite was soon set to leave the treasure room now that he had what he wanted, but the mad pirate wasn't finished yet. Before exiting he raised his gun once more and fired three point blank shots toward the center of the room. The bullets struck the diamond replica of Crystal Tokyo alongside the statue of King Darien & Queen Serenity. Kyanite took delight in this moment as he watched the prop fall into millions of shards, now that he had destroyed the fake Crystal Tokyo all that was left was to destroy the real one.
-Present-
Amara was going to kill this man.
She tried to keep her expression as pleasant as she possibly could. Being on a date with Michelle always reminded her that she needed to be on her best behavior even when things pissed her off. The ballroom lights blared down upon the couple, while conversations from other rich guests flowed into the background followed by soft classical musical.
Amara stabbed her caesar salad with a single fork as she carefully spooned a bit into her mouth, being ever so gentle not to touch the soybeans that the waiter accidently put in her salad. How she hated soybeans with every fiber of her being. She specifically told that nimrod of a waiter not to put soybeans in her salad and what did he do put soybeans in her salad. It was taking her all of her strength not to kill this man, everytime he visited the table to check on them.
Michelle rolled her eyes heavily before rubbing her temples at her fiances frustration. This was supposed to be a romantic date night for the both of them as well as an escape from the unpleasantness of their jobs as Sailor Scouts but alas it was anything but. "It's just a salad Amara calm down."
"A salad that costs one hundred five yen Michelle!" She replied sharply. "If I spend that much on this, they could at least take out the soybeans!"
"Im engaged to a maniac." Michelle uttered to herself. She wanted to scold Amara on her improper restaurant manners but ultimately thought against it as she returned to the plate of sashimi before her. Amara wasn't really upset about the salad, but she was using it as a coverup for her real emotions. It had been almost two days since the Negamoon Pirates attacked the girls and poisoned Darien. The humiliating defeat plus tensions from within the group had made all the girls separate from each other. Even though this was a time to pull together, nobody had a single clue of where to begin to counterstrike.
Amara not being one to ever tell her feelings hid it behind the wall of passive aggressiveness while her mind went into overdrive doing her best to salvage the situations. Her personal life and her Scout life had been affected drastically and the change made her increasingly voltile. She began to clash with Lita more, she didn't feel like going out and she constantly snapped at others like she was doing now.
Needles to say the situation was going all wrong for the girls. Michelle didn't know how much longer she could take of this increased tension from her wounded pride. The burning question, however, was why the Pirates haven't attacked them yet. They had done much to destroy Serena and Darien's wedding, for them to stop cold turkey made the others nervous. Like the calm before the storm, everyone awaited the moment when Captain Kyanite would rear his ugly head.
-Tokyo Tower-
The nights frosty breezy winds did nothing to awaken a depressed Lita who leaned over the edge of the balcony ontop of the Tokyo Tower. Her winter coat followed the breeze as her body was against the railing, looking over the bright vegas like lights of Tokyo. She was supposed to have a date with Andrew tonight, but against her better judgment she canceled the date last minute, not wanting to burden him with her lack of enthusiasm.
Andrew really did deserve better then her. He had been a patient and loving boyfriend throughout their times together, it pained her to not be able to confide in him. How badly she wanted to tell him about why she canceled her cooking show on tv or where she had been during the battle of the wedding. Much like Amara, Lita's pride was wounded to the point where she couldn't understand what to do next. She was supposed to be the strongest of the Sailor Scouts yet she failed to take down Kyanite and save Darien. Seeing Serena cry at his bedside every night while they waited for an antidote, was much more then the girl could bare.
"Lita?" She heard a voice call out to her.
"Whose there?" She asked as she looked out onto the balcony path. Coming out of the shadows was a warmly dressed Rei. "Rei, what are you doing here?"
"Mina told me where to find you." She began. "What re you doing up here?"
"Trying to clear my head." Lita replied. "I couldn't sleep and I wouldn't have been much company to Andrew so I cancelled our date."
"Why did you cancel your date?"
"Haven't been feeling too hot lately, with everything going on I thought I should just stick close, encase Serena needed me!"
"There's been no sign of Kyanite or his pirates since the other day." She stated. "I know your worried but you have to rest or do something to take your mind off of it."
"Do you ever think we'll be able to have normal lives?"
The sudden pointed question caught Rei off guard and silenced her. She was eagerly goign to respond with something cheerful to lift Lita's spirits but found herself unable to do so. Rei didn't want to admit it but Lita's question was a burning one that had went through each of their minds. They knew that there fates was to protect Serena for Eternity, but did that mean that they wouldn't have time for anything else?
The Negaverse, The Negamoon, The Heart Snatchers, The Dark Moon Circus, The Shadow Galactica and now the Negamoon Pirates. Every time they defeated an enemy a new one took it's place, almost as if the girls were never meant to have peace. They could handle there roles as guardians of the earth, but would it kill evil to stop and let them live peaceful lives for once.
They all had scarified much for Princess Serena and the Moon Kingdom. Captain Kyanite's presence however challenged the notion that peace would ever come to them. Even if they defeated him, would there be another threat looming around the corner? Would they always have to put there love ones on hold for the sake of the mission? An even darker question made them wonder would they always come out on top?
"I-I." Rei studdered finally responding after a long period of silence.
"Don't worry about it." Lita chuckled. "Since your out here want to join me in some sight seeing."
Rei hesitantly answered before smiling and joining her friend on the balcony's ledge. They had soo much to do, so little time. I think the biggest question they wondered was if they would always have to endure the burden of their duties.
Only time would tell.
-With Amara & Michelle-
"I TOLD YOU I DIDN'T WANT ANY SOYBEANS IN MY SALAD!" Amara's anger came full throttle as she held the waiter by the scruff of his tuxedo. Beads of sweat formed on the young man's head as he held back an attempt to piss his pants and runaway. He thought everything was going well with his tables until Amara went Hulk and threatened his very existence.
"D-d-don't worry S-s-s-sir, I'll fix this right away!"
"SIR!" Amara gritted her teeth and pulled the man even closer. "I'M A WOMAN YOU MORON!"
"P-p-p-please Ma'am I d-d-din't know, the suit and the way your dressed I j-j-ust assumed."
"OH SO WOMEN CAN'T WEAR SUITS HUH?" She got louder as he grip got tighter. "WHAT ARE YOU, SEXIST, HOMOPHOBIC, IGNORANT OR JUST PLAIN STUPID?"
"P-p-p-please Ma'am forgive me!"
"Amara enough." Michelle calmy said as she took a giant sip of her wine. "Put him down!"
With great reluctance Amara's grip on the waiter loosened and once freed he scrambled in toward the back of the kitchen to make Amara another salad. Patrons of the restaurants who were staring at Amara during her outburst promptly went back to their conversations, afraid to have her rage turned upon them.
"I thought you had better table manners then that?"
"I told him no soybeans in my salad; he should have listened."
"Your acting like a toddler." She snapped. "Now are you going to get it together or should we conclude tonights evening?"
"Concluding is fine, check please!" With that Amara plopped down back in her chair and stared out the window overlooking the rivers' banks. Michelle would go back to trying to enjoy the sensibility of her meal, while trying to forget her fiancees rude outburst.
The couple would sit in total silence for a few minutes before the waiter came back to their table. Despite the fact they had asked for the check however the waiter was not carrying any paper, instead in his hands he carried a small serving platter with a dome on it. Cautiously trying to avoid Amara's wrath again, he placed the tray down in front of them.
"What the hells wrong with you?" Amara quipped angrily. "I wanted my check, not more food!"
"Your check is on the house madam, and the chef insisted I give you this free desert to show you how sorry we are for your order."
"Oh fine, I guess a little dessert couldn't hurt."
"What delectable did the chef chose to give us!"
"It's her special, it's called pumpkin surprise!"
As the waiter lifted the dome off the platter, Amara & Michelle both conveyed a horrified look. The pumpkin surprise mentioned by the waiter was not even a edible dessert. On the platter was a full sized pumpkin with a sparkler candle on top. Carved deep onto the face of the pumpkin was the symbol of the Negamoon, followed by the word 'Boom' that was written underneath it.
-With Rei & Lita-
"What was that?" Rei & Lita's sightseeing was cut short by the sound of a loud explosion. The ladies were perplexed by the incident happened as their eyes turned toward a different area of town where fire and pillars of smoke could be seen.
"I don't know but it's coming from the Hokkaido district!" Lita exclaimed. "You think it's the pirates?"
"I think we better not waste anytime, lets get over there!"
The girls were set in agreement to go and investigate the strange incident in the Hokkaido district, but unfortunately a sinister force had other plans. A sinister force that conjured together a massive sphere of time energy. "Pluto Deadly Scream!"
"What the?" A startled Rei questioned as the sphere was suddenly launched in her direction, from seemingly know where.
"Rei look out!" With her swift reflexes and speed, Lita knocked Rei out of the way while taking the attack that was meant for her. Lita cried out in agony as she was blasted with the deadly scream attack and forced against the side railing.
"Lita!" Rei cried in horror as she went to her friends side. "Are you ok?"
"We'll, we'll, well, what do we have here?" The Sailor Slayer stepped from out of the shadows after changing from Sailor Pluto back to her normal sailor fuku. "Two Isolated Sailor Scouts must be my birthday!"
"You!" Lita growled as she locked sights with the enemy.
On a normal day the Sailor Slayer would have loved to match wits with the girls in an effort to toy with them but today she was feeling extra murderous. Captain Kyanite gave her the orders to eliminate the girls, and she was going to make sure that she didn't waste a single minute of it.
"Lita we gotta transform now!" Rei urged toward her friend as she started to go for her crystal change wand.
The Sailor Slayer was quicker then the two girls could be, however. She lunged at Rei first, sucker punching the girl square in the gut before roundhouse kicking her over the railing.
"Rei!" Seeing her friend helpless Lita got to her feet and leaped over the side. With one hand she grabbed Rei and the other she grabbed the railing edge to keep them from falling to their death. Both girls clung for dear life upon the structure while the Sailor Slayer gloated from ontop of the platform.
"Too easy!" The Sailor Slayer couldn't have had a better setup for the demise of these two powerless girls, it was almost like taking candy from a baby. Drawing one of her change cards from her belt, the Sailor Slayer loaded the card into her rapier which changed her into Sailor Jupiter.
"Damn faker!" Lita cursed. "Rei can you reach your wand?"
"I can't!"
Upon her transformation the fake Sailor Jupiter summoned the antenna from the tip of her tiara. What was to follow was a massive amount of Storm Clouds which began to swirl overhead. Rei & Lita tried to pull themselves up while the Sailor Slayer was busy but sadly to no avail. They each braced themselves as thunder boomed, followed by strikes of lighting.
"Jupiter Thunder Crash!"
Rei & Lita braced themselves for the worse as the lighting came down on them. Sailo Slayer used the Thunder Crash attack to strike the area around where the girls were. Both girls screamed in agony as the lighting corsed through there veins, igniting undesrbable pain throughout there systems. They never dreamed they would die like this, especially not at the hands of someone who was posing as Sailor Jupiter.
"I guess this is game over Sailor Simps!" As the Sailor Slayer transformed back into her normal attire, she prepared herself to end the duo once and for all. Raising her Raiper up high the villain stabbed Lita in her hand which caused the girl to finally let go of the side railing. The Sailor Slayer watched in delight as Lita & Rei started to fall toward the ground below.
"Venus Love Me Chain!" All hope was not lost for duo however, as they fell the Venus Chain suddenly sprung into action wrapping them together as well as suspending them in mid air. The Sailor Slayer was dismayed as she soon saw Sailor Venus and Eternal Sailor Moon standing on a different platform not far from where she was at.
"How dare you attack our friends you wannabe Sailor Scout!" Eternal Sailor Moon chanted while striking her normal confrontation pose. "In the name of the Moon, were taking you and Captain Kyanite down!"
"Guys!" Rei shared a sigh of relief as their friends suddenly came to there aid. "You got here just in time!"
"So your're the Sailor Slayer?" Venus inquired. "You don't look so tough to me!"
"Venus don't egg her on!" Lita weakly suggested.
"Yeah, she's super powerful!"
"Take a lesson from your friends Blondie, your no match for me!"
"Evil Spirit Begone!" Before the Sailor Slayer could even move a muscle, Rei swiftly threw a ofuda at her which stuck itself to her forehead. The Sailor Slayer found herself stuck in the same position as the purifying powers of the ofuda kept her completely grounded.
"Moon Tiara Magic!" With a window of opportunity upon them, Eternal Sailor Moon was set to provide the fatal blow against the enemy. Summoning her crescent moon tiara, she flung it at the platform where the Sailor Slayer was standing. The magic essence of the tiara struck the platform and tore threw it completely while at the same time leaving a gigantic hole.
"Damn it!" The Sailor Slayer cursed as her body was flung to the depths below Tokyo Tower.
"Whew that was a close one." Rei sighed
"Come on, that won't hold her for long!"
Taking Sailor Moon's advice the group departed the Tokyo Tower as fast as they could. The Sailor Slayer may have been down but she was far from out, if they hadn't intervened then they surely would have all died.
-With Amara & Michelle-
Consciousness returned to Amara's mindset while her body started to react to what just happened. The last thing she remembered was that pumpkin desert that was served to her from literally out of know where. Had it not been for her quick thinking in grabbing Michelle and jumping out of the window then both of them would surely be dead.
Scanning the area around her Amara knew that she and Michelle had landed near the banks of the river that overlooked the restaurant. Smoke oozed from the windows of the now destroyed restaurant toward the skylight while the dead bodies of the resturant patrons were scattered all around her.
"Amara!" Michelle's voice was weak and loosing strength with every passing moment. She was sitting upright not to far away from where Amara was. Her clothes were littered with burn marks from the explosion while her shoulder was dripping blood thanks to a gash she had sustained from the fall.
"Hang on Michelle I'm coming!" Amara tried to stand but ultimately felt none of her bones give into her command. She literally felt nothing since she lept out the window for saftey, by now it was obvious to her that the fall had temporarily paralyzed her bones. "Damn it!"
Michelle herself reached out for Amara only to wince in pain as her shoulder got to her senses. "Well at least were alive!"
"Not for long!"
A bright blaring spotlight suddenly illuminated Amara & Michelle's bodies. The duo covered themselves from the glare as they saw the shadows of several different figures. Sitting ducks would probably have been the perfect phrase for the duo, as their attackers finally walked into the light. The maker of the bomb as well as the person standing in front of them was Captain Kyanite's quartermaster Yura. The girl had a wicked smile on her face while she was acompanied by several pirates, each one carrying pistols that were trained on the two girls.
"Coward!" Amara sneered. "You didn't have the guts to face us so you use this cheap trick!"
"You call it cheap, I call it using some creativity!" She giggled. "Who would have thought, the great Sailor Uranus & Neptune brought down by a exploding pumpkin bomb!"
"You won't get away with this!"
"I will get away with it, in fact I'm counting on delivering this wonderful news to the Captain once he gets back from Crystal Tokyo!" She stated. "I hope you two have said your prayers!"
With a snap of her fingers, Yuma implemented the command to her troops. The pirates wickedly smiled with joy as they aimed there guns once more before unleashing a hailstorm of bullets toward the girls.
"Mercury Bubbles Blast!"
The Pirates attack was halted by the sudden appearance of a large dense wall of fog that covered the area between them and the two Sailor Scouts. The fog lasted only a few minutes before subsiding, but much to Yura's surprise both the girls were gone and the bullets they had fired had been frozen solid now laying helplessly on the ground.
"No fair!" Yura whined. Captain Kyanite was not going to be pleased when he learned how easily she fouled up. "Search the grounds and find them now!"
-Crystal Tokyo-
-Crystal Palace-
"Esto es magnífico!" Captain Kyanite proudly blared his knowledge of the Spanish language while doing a type of walking dance as he went down the stairway leading toward the Crystal Palace basement. Behind him was the last few of his solders that survived the assault, in their grasp they carried the captive Neo Queen Serenity and King Darien.
The successful invasion of the Crystal Palace had been a huge surprise to Captain Kyanite. Although he kept a gaping air of confidence around him the pirate Captain did not imagine that he would ever have his hands on Neo Queen Serenity, much let alone the other members of the royal family. While he did dream the plan he did owe most of the credit to the Sailor Slayer, had it not been for her shape shifting abilities then he would have never been able to gain such easy access to the fortress.
The entire palace shook in a crumbling fashion while the very walls were beginning to fill with the purifying powers of the Sailor Guardians. The four girls activated this attack knowing that it would destroy them and the Black Crystal if it reached full strength. For now all Kyanite could do is hurdled his forces toward the bottom to reach back to their own time.
The Basement of the Crystal Palace was dark and devoid of any furniture or people, merely just the cold hard ground. As soon as Kyanite reached the bottom, he was greeted by a few solders that had been awaiting him. "We await your orders Captain Kyanite!"
The Captain had been in a gracious mood during the raid on the castle, besides killing only one of his solders he felt like he was on cloud nine. It was at this moment that the Captain lost his good mood, realizing that his pirate troops before him were missing something he had instructed them to get.
Captain Kyanite's pupils were like daggers, pointed and sharp as he scanned the nervous looks on his pirates faces. "Where is Rini?"
The Pirate gulped heavily as he prepared to say the four words that could possibly cost him his life. "We lost her Captain!"
"Cómo?"
"We lost Rini Captain!"
"I heard that already!" He snarled. "The question is how, I gave you a simple assignment and you botched it up!"
"It's not our fault Kyanite, this flying horse with a gold horn attacked us and-."
"Flying horse with a gold horn!" The Captain's mouth was agape at this startling detail, it now made sense why those idiots failed to capture her. Pegasus was a powerful ally of the Sailor Scouts and once crush of Rini, it made sense that he came to her aid during the seige. "Qué pena!"
"You may have us Kyanite, but you'll never capture Rini she's too smart for you!" King Darien yelled
"Captain we've got to hurry, the process is almost finished!" One of the pirates gestured as the Sailor Scouts powers started to fill the room they were in. If they did not hurry they would either be destroyed or healed when the energy touched their bodies.
Captain Kyanite sighed heavily before reaching into his jacket pocket and pulling out a piece of the black crystal. Before the Sailor Slayer closed off the portal back to their time, she used the Garnet Rod to seal a piece of time energy inside the Black Crystal. All Kyanite needed to do is break the crystal and open the portal back to the 21st century. "As soon as I open the portal, load the treasure and the Queen, once were back lock her up with Saturn & Pluto."
"What about him Captain?" A solider gestured to the captive King Darien
The Captain did not answer his troops, merely gestured a certain signal toward his troops. Within seconds the pirates forced King Darien to his knees and secured the shackles around his hands even further. Neo Queen Serenity tried to fight back in order to keep Kyanite from touching him but even she could not get away from her captors since they removed her mystical Silver Crystal.
"You haven't won Kyanite!" King Darien barked. "The Negamoon will fail again!"
A sickening smile appeared on Kyanite's face before he turned his attention back to the captive Queen. "Do you remember when I told you I was going to take everything for you Queen Serenity?"
"No please."
"Consider this part one!" Without warning Captain Kyanite grabbed King Darien firmly by his head with both hands. With much force and malice, he twisted the King's neck until a loud 'snap' could be heard by everyone in attendance.
Inaudible sounds escaped the queens mouth, as her eyes became drenched with the salt of her tears. She watched the light from her husbands eyes soon drifting away until there was nothing but a black void. How could this be happening to her? This morning they were a normal happy couple and now she was an instant widow who was forced to watch her loved on have their neck broken.
"Let's go home boys!" Breaking the crystal before him, the portal appeared overhead leading to back toward the 21st century. The Negamoon pirates cheered on their leader as he lead them through the portal and to safety before the Sailor Scouts powers could purify them. Neo Queen Serenity fought back to the very end, her last moments being seeing her husbands dead body before the portal closed.
-The Next Day-
-Hikawa Shrine-
The Good guys always win the battle. At least that was the accepted rule that they all believed. While there were a few occasions when the dark armies would have the advantage, this time it seemed like the girls were at a loss. After the unexpected battle each of them endeared last night, only Serena, Mina & Amy remained scar free.
At this moment Serena & Mina were on their knees watching the roaring fire from Rei's fireplace, Luna & Artemis not to far away from them. The flames had been dancing about for hours now, keeping the girls in a sort of hypnotic state while also keep them from having to talk about the elephant in the room. The elephant being their downed comrades who laid down on the extra cots that Rei's grandfather brought for them. Normally they would have kept them in the bedrooms, but Luna thought it would be a good idea to keep them close by in case they needed medical attention. Serena & Mina were grateful for Amy's intensive medical knowledge, with her help they were able to patch up the others and keep them from getting worse.
While Darien still had been poisoned from Yura's pumpkin, Lita & Rei dealt with extreme cases of paralyzation from the electricity while Amara & Michelle suffered both burns alongside and a few broken bones. Needless to say they were all in bad shape, so much bad shape that Amy suggested it might take a while before they were able to defend themselves.
While they were happy to hear that their friends would recover, an uneasiness spread over both the girls. They were now down more then half the firepower when it came to taking on the Negamoon Pirates, if Captain Kyanite or his crew decided to attack then they were not sure if they could survive the encounter.
While the duo was in the same boat when it came to how they felt about the situation, Mina found herself getting especially irritated by the Sailor Slayers action. She was the leader of the Sailor Scouts and yet when her team needed her she failed them on all ends. She should have tried to take on the foe instead of fleeing for their lives. "When I get my hands on the Sailor Slayer, I'll make her pay!"
"Mina don't talk that way!" Artemis spoke with concern, seeing the scowl deep into her face. "The Sailor Slayer is too powerful for anyone to handle alone!"
"Artemis is right Mina." Serena interjected. "Going up against her is total suicide."
"I don't care if it is, look what she's done to all of them!"
"Luna, what should we do?" Serena questioned to her guardian.
But Luna didn't answer Serena as she was too busy staring off out the window, a look of fear mixed with dejection colored her face. Serena, Mina & Artemis got to there feet to confront their friend but she still did not respond to them. Luna being the strong-willed cat that she was never found herself getting down even by all the foes that faced them. This time was different however, Luna's face displayed a sense that she had seen unspeakable horrors being done.
"What's wrong with Luna, Artemis?"
"Not sure, I've never seen her like that before."
A worried Serena refused to let her guardian sink into this state of stillness, she snatched Luna by the scruff of her neck and brought her into a bone crushing hug while crying loudly. "Luna please come back, we can't loose you please come back!"
For their sakes Luna wasn't totally out of it as Serena's shaking caused her to snap out of the state she was in. "Serena, your crushing me!"
"Luna, thank goodness you snapped outta it!"
"Why were you spaced out?" Artemis wondered.
"I found it guys, I found it!" Before Luna could answer the group, Amy came busting through from one of the bedrooms next door. Serena, Mina, Artemis & Luna backed away slightly as she appeared before them, a large scientific book in her hand. Since she saved Amara & Michelle yesterday, Amy had been at the gruiling task of going through every botany book she owned. While the girls had been watching over the others, Amy stayed reading while trying to find out the source of Darien's poisoning.
The accomplishment of Amy's work was apparent by her appearance. Her eyes were stained the color of red while her glasses were slightly crooked on her face, her hair was unkempt and her normal clothes were filled to the rim with wrinkles. "Hydrangea Macrophylla!"
"Uh what?"
"Hydrangea Macrophylla it's the key to everything!" Amy retorted. "It's biological spores contain antimicrobial properties that will help!"
"Amy English please." Mina sweat dropped
"Oh sorry girls!" She apologized. "What I mean is Pink Hydrangea's are the key to curing Darien's poison!"
"That's it?" Artemis questioned. It's not that he wasn't happy about the cure, but he was puzzled to how a simple flower could cure this poison running through Darien's system. They had consulted with dozens of medical professionals and even they couldn't deduce that this flower was the cure they needed. "How did you find that out Amy."
"It wasn't easy but it turned out I shouldn't have been looking for medical cures!" She responded before plopping the book down on a nearby table. "This book contains information on rare space plants that are thought to be extinct, while reading it I found info on a rare plant that used to grow on the tenth planet in the solar system."
"The Planet Nemesis!" While Serena wasn't the most intelligent one of the Scouts, even she remembered there time facing the Negamoon on there on home turf. "But how did Captain Kyanite get his hands on that stuff, Nemisis blew up when we defeated Doom Phantom?"
"It's not important on how he got it, what matters is the Pink Hydrangea flower can cure it." Amy stated. "It's a old century flower that originally came from the moon, the book says the flowers nectar can cure any poison."
"That's wonderful, where do we get this flower?"
"The Koishikawa Botanical Garden, it's the only place that would carry this flower."
"What are we waiting for then, lets go!"
Finally set with the good news the trio got to there feet and headed for the door. As they reached the doorknob however, Serena suddenly stopped remembering something important. Mina & Amy were puzzled by their friends sudden hesitation, but realized that their friends would be left here by themselves. "We can't leave them here guys?"
"But we shouldn't separate." Amy said. "The Sailor Slayer is out there looking for us, it would be better if we stuck together!"
"If we do that though, what happens if the pirates attack them while nobody is around?"
"Look we need to play to our strengths here!" Mina suggested. "Amy you and Artemis stay here and watch over them, Serena, Luna & I will get the flower and bring it back here."
"Ok, if thats the only way then we'll do it!"
Finally coming to some sort of agreement the girls parted ways, Amy & Artemis staying stationary while the others left almost immediately to go and find the flower they needed to cure Darien. With the streak of bad luck they had been having against the pirates, perhaps this was the moment that they could turn it around. If anything gave them a slight advantage, they would take it, after all the Negamoon Pirates were turning out to be the most violent foes they ever faced in their history as Sailor Scouts.
-Nearby -
As Serena, Mina & Luna exited the Shrine and started their journey toward the Koishikawa Botanical Gardens, unbeingknowest to them they had a audience on a rooftop that was overlooking the Shrine.
"Look at them run, there like a bunch of mice chasing after cheese!" Yura giggled as she observed the trio through a set of binoculars. She sat at the edge of the building with her legs over the edge while watching the Sailor Scouts in the shrine plan there next move. Sitting next to her was the de transformed Sailor Slayer who also watched the spectical behind her flower parasol.
"It's about time they made their move, I was beginning to get bored with stakeout duty!" She confessed. "So what's the plan again?"
"You eliminate Sailor Venus and capture Sailor Moon while I get rid of those sitting ducks over there!"
"Hopefully they provide more of a challenge then her sisters, I'm starting to get bored with beating them so easily!" She stated. "That's my only issue with you and Kyanite, you both made me too perfect for combat."
"Speaking of the Captain he should be back by now." Yura replied. "If were not their to greet him, you know how much of a crabby mode he gets in."
"Agreed, lets get back!"
-The Dajinryuu-
-The Brig-
"Unhand me this instant!" Neo Queen Serenity cried out toward her captors as they roughly dragged her along the cold floors of the hallways that lead to the brig. Having just been kidnapped by Kyanite and forced to leave her dimension, the Queen of Crystal Tokyo was now on her way to the holding cell pending the completion of his master plan.
The two pirates that held her simply laughed at the woman's orders as they came upon the end of the hall where a steel door awaited them. Upon opening the door they promptly tossed her inside the room and shut the door.
The Brig was a small darkened room where the walls were aligned with shards of the black crystal. Inside the brig was also a small floating orb that illuminated light throughout the cell. Attached to the wall of the cell was a set of large chains and attached to the chains was the captive Sailor Pluto & Sailor Saturn.
"Your majesty!" Pluto exclaimed, a pure look of shock displayed upon her face.
"Pluto, Saturn!" Neo Queen Serenity called out while running toward them. "Are you two alright?"
"Just a few scratches but well be fine your majesty!" Saturn answered. "But what has happened, you shouldn't be here!"
The Queen could not form any words, instead her eyes leaked out salty tears once more as she started to replay the events that lead to her capture. How was she going to tell them about Darien, or Rini?
"My Queen what's wrong?" Pluto questioned
"I need to tell you two something, I swore I would never tell another soul this but we're running out of time." She began. "Kyanite has the Silver Crystal and he has already done so much damage to the other realities by using the time space door."
"I don't understand, what are you trying to tell us my Queen?"
Serenity held her head low for a minute, a widespread memory of shame covering her being. The one secret she wanted to take to her grave was slowly coming out piece by piece. Now that she was in Kyanite's grasp she had to tell them the truth, just incase things got even worse. She already lost her husband, unless she told her subjects the truth then she could possibly lose them too. So many secrets, soo many lies, a millennium that she spent covering it up, it was now time for her to come clean. It was now time for her to tell the truth behind the leader of the Negamoon Pirates. "Captain Kyanite he's-."
-Downtown-
The journey from the Hikawa Shrine toward downtown Tokyo seemed like it would take forever for Serena & Mina. Not having a drivers license really took it's toll on the girls, as they were anxious to get the cure back to Darien. Every moment that passed by he got worse from the effects of the poison, so the last thing the girls had was time to spare. After taking two transfer buses and a cab through the busy section of downtown Tokyo, the girls finally got off at the crosswalk where they would find a sign that lead them to the Koishikawa Botanical Garden.
"Hurry Mina hurry!" Serena urged. Her breaths were labored while her heartbeat increased significantly. Just a few more blocks and they would finally reach their goal.
"I'm going as fast as I can!" She shot back
As the girls turned another block, the duo became startled by the sudden appearance of a few dozen crowds of people who were running away from the direction they were going towards. The duo ducked in the street for cover, unsure of where all these people were running from.
"What's with the stampede?" Serena questioned.
"Oh my God Serena look!"
Mina suddenly noticed a large trail of smoke erupting in the skies above them. The girls hurried to follow the smoke down the block of where they were trying to go. After a few minutes of running, the duo stopped dead in there tracks. A look of sorrow was plastered on their faces as they came face to face with the sight of Koishikawa Botanical Garden now up in flames.
"Oh No!" Serena cried out. Once again they were too late to stop bad luck from finding them. The only cure to save Darien was in that building and it was now going up in flames, while also killing any of the plant life that was remaining on the inside. "Were too late!"
"How could this have happened?"
"I believe the credit belongs to me Sailor Scouts!" The Sailor Slayer called out as she stepped from out of the shadows of one of the buildings. Serena & Mina huddled together as they stared down there foe, while mentally preparing themselves for what she might do next.
"You again!" Mina growled. "What do you want with us?"
"I'm actually here because of this!" Much to Serena & Mina's shock the Sailor Slayer opened her palm, revealing that she was in possession of a single Pink Hydrangea flower.
"The Flower!" Serena exclaimed.
"Damn Negatrash, hand over that flower!" Mina commanded
"I'll tell you what, I'm feeling very sporty so I'll make you a deal!" She replied. "Sailor Venus you will face me in combat by yourself, if you win you get the flower!"
"And if I lose?"
"You and this pretty little flower will be destroyed!"
"It's a trap Mina dont do it!"
"I wouldn't worry about here too much Princess Serena, you've got much more problems to deal with!"
'What do you mean?"
"I'm afraid you have a date with Captain Kyanite!" Without warning the Sailor Slayer pointed her parasol at the girls and shot out a strange beam of energy. The energy struck both of the girls on impact causing them both to disappear into nothingness.
-Koishikawa Botanical Garden-
-Main Lobby-
The Sailor Slayer had transported herself and Mina toward the inside of Koishikawa Botanical Gardens, the lobby to be exact. Both Sailor Soldiers now stood in the lage spacious lobby which contained numerous amounts of desks, pillars and containers with different specious of flowers inside. The entire area which had been set ablaze by the Sailor Slayer was now spreading to different parts of the Gardens, threatening to destroy the whole building within a short time period.
"Serena, Serena?" A panicked Mina began to search the area for her friend, but she hadn't been taken with her. In this hellish landscape it was just her and the Sailor Slayer, who was staring her down intensely. "What have you done with Serena?"
The Sailor Slayer ignored the question at hand while placing the Pink Hydrangea flower down on the ground that was far away from the flames. Once it was out of her grasp she pulled for the lip rod she kept within her kimono.
"So that's how it's going to be huh?" Mina wondered while also pulling for her crystal change rod. It looks like she didn't have a choice but to take on the Sailor Slayer by herself. Granted she wanted to face her solo and prove her mighty, she had hoped the circumstances wouldn't be so extra dire. She not only had to beat her, but save the only cure to Darien's life which was in danger of being burned to cinders. "Venus Crystal Power!"
"Slayer Star Power!"
With the proud calls from their respective transformation wands, both Mina & the Sailor Slayer were soon transformed into their sailor fuku's. Once transformed both ladies didn't waste any time and soon began to fight, each one trying to outdo the other.
-Elsewhere-
Once again the Sailor Scouts' daily actions were being closely monitored by strangers nearby, except this time the strangers were members of the Negamoon. The observers this time were the three robed figures that had stolen from the Neo Queen Serenity's castle just a few days ago. Standing witin the shadows of another building, the three witnessed the exact moments when the Sailor Slayer not only set fire to the Botanical Gardens but also when she captured Serena & Mina as well.
"This is getting painful to watch." One of them stated in a low depressive tone. "Captain Kyanite is getting the better of them at every angle."
"Have more faith Hiroki, the Sailor Scouts have never lost a battle before you shouldn't be so quick to count them out!"
"Shinobu be realistic." They retorted. "We cannot have complete faith in them knowing how powerful Captain Kyanite is, I think we should enact the plan just to be sure."
"I'm with Hiroki." The other stranger said.
"But Misaki-."
"Look I know your worried Shinobu but were running out of options, we either do this now or we risk losing the only window of opportunity we have!"
The robbed figure sighed for another second before nodding in agreement. He wanted to give the Sailor Soldiers another chance to retaliate from the situations they were in, but alas his comrades were right they didn't have much of a choice left.
"If were going to do this only one of us should go, the others should stay to observe."
"I'll go!" The stranger known as Shinobu despite being initially hesitant, volunteered for the assignment. "I've been studying the location of this woman, and I'm pretty sure I can warn here the fastest."
"Just out of curiosity, what makes this one so special to be the new Sailor Mars?"
"Not sure the only thing I know is, she's a mystical being called a Miko!"
-With Sailor Venus-
"Venus Crescent Beam!" The Crescent symbol of her kingdom glowed proudly over Sailor Venus's head as she raised her right finger in a gun style. Erupting from the tip was a large beam of light which she aimed in an attempt to take down her foe.
The Sailor Slayer was quicker in her pursuit however, using the flames around the greenhouse to her advantage she jumped behind several walls of fire causing Sailor Venus to miss her several times throughout her assault. Once she finally came to an end to her attack, Sailor Slayer launched at the blonde with rapier in hand trying to slash her like she had done to so many of her comrades before.
Venus may have been a ditzy blonde, but she was far from stupid. As the Sailor Slayer made another attempt to slash her she roundhouse kicked the rapier from her hand before sending another shot of crescent beam toward her stomach.
While the attack didn't do much toward Sailor Slayer it made her up the ante to eliminate Sailor Venus. After scrambling for her raiper she drew for one of her Negamoon cards and inserted one in the slot. The Sailor Slayer became shrouded in dark blue energy as she soon transformed into the solider of Sky AKA Sailor Uranus.
"Uranus World Shaking!" Just like the real Sailor Uranus, the imposter gathered air energy into a massive sphere before ejecting it at Sailor Venus.
Venus was once again on top of her game as she slid out the way of the attack. Once she was safe and out of harms way she called upon her Venus Love me chain. With the weapon in hand, she lashed it at her, slashing her multiple times across the face. Up until now the Sailor Slayer has been cocky in every battle she was in but in this attempt she underestimated Sailor Venus power. She thought this woman to be the weakest of the Sailor Scouts, but instead she had been proving much more of a challenge then any of the others.
"Damn you!" After being slashed a total of ten times, the Sailor Slayer lost the guise of Sailor Uranus.
"Venus Crescent Beam Shower!" Switching tactics Sailor Venus charged her fingers with light energy before unleashing a barrage of bullet like projectiles at the Sailor Slayer. Unlike the last few attacks, Venus thought of a different way to take down the Slayer, her beams were this time focused on her rapier and belt.
Before she could counteract the rapier as well as the belt went flying away from her and into a the flames nearby. The Sailor Slayer soon panicked as on contact the rapier started to melt into the floor while the cards in her belt began to char slowly. "My weapons!"
Venus smiled slightly, finally seeing the her enemy in this powerless state. "Not so tough without your toys are you Sailor Slayer?"
"You little nuisance, your going to wish you hadn't done that!" The Sailor Slayer always wanted a challenge in battle, but now this one Sailor Scout was pissing her off. Going toe to toe with her was one thing but destroying her weapons was another thing, now she was going to make blondie pay for what she did.
"It's over Sailor Slayer, now give up!" She commanded.
"If I were, you I'd be more concerned about the flower your King so desprately needs!"
Sailor Venus's face went pale with the realization. She had been fighting her this entire time while the gardens went up in flames, yet she failed to realize the reason she came here in the first place. The Pink Hydrangia flower, the only thing that can cure Darien's poison was left unattended next to a wall of flames.
Turning her back to where she started the battle with the Sailor Slayer she focused on the Pink Hydrangea flower which started to quickly wilt under the extreme temperature. "Oh no!"
"Gotcha!" With Sailor Venus distracted, the Sailor Slayer came upon her. With brute strength she grabbed Sailor Venus by the back of her neck and held her high up in the air. Venus struggled to move as her entire body was focused on the lack of air she was getting. "Boy are Sailor Scouts stupid!"
"L-l-let m-m-me g-go!"
"Love'd too, right after were done with the campfire!" With the helpless Sailor Scout in her grasp, the Sailor Slayer directed her victim toward the wall of flames that was nearby. Venus kept trying to fight back but was overpowered as the Sailor Slayer placed her body directly into the raging inferno.
Venus's screams were high-pitched and full of agony as she was forcibly burned by the flames. Her sailor outfit quickly was scorched away into simple threads while pieces of her skin easily peeled off leaving a trail of boils and blaze marks all over her body. In her time as a Sailor Scout she had faced many attacks which damaged her body over the years but never did she imagine being almost cooked alive.
"For today's menu we have Sailor Scout flambe!" After leaving Venus within the flames for what seemed like a lifetime, the Sailor Slayer finally pulled her out while tossing her body next to the flower.
Every inch of Sailor Venus's body pained her to the point where it was hard to her to even move the slightest of muscle. She came to save Darien and help Serena but sadly ended up becoming a victim of the Sailor Slayers brutality, just like her friends.
"Well you fought the good fight and lost as expected!" She replied cockily. "Well don't feel too bad, I'm sure death will come to you in the next few minutes!"
The battle concluded right then & there as the Sailor Slayer used her negamoon power to leave the botanical gardens. Sailor Venus forever scorched and weak was left to endure the aftermath of the battle. As the fire had been raging during the battle, the entire building now started to crumble into nothingness. Much to her horror the fire also grew to it's highest point, threatening to engulf her and the cure once more. All Sailor Venus could do was think of her friends as her vision became filled with flames & failing debris.
-Hikawa Shrine-
"Serena, Mina do you read me, I repeat do you read me?" For the sixth time in the last few minutes, Amy had hopelessly tried to contact her friends via the Scout wrist communicator, but sadly she still had no response. In the midst of trying to nurse her friends back to health, she heard from the television that the Botanical Gardens was now on fire.
As she deduced, the girls probably ran into more trouble than they bargained for. Now that both of them weren't answering, Amy feared the worst. The even bigger question now was what to do about the situation. Was she to abandon Darien and the others in order to find them while risk running into the Sailor Slayer or would she sit their and let every moment of their absence drive her insane.
"Amy?" The bookworms thoughts were cut off by hearing Lita's voice. Looking back toward the cots, she could see that her four injured friends were now starting to awaken from their medication induced slumbers.
"Oh God, what year is it?" Rei yawned while outstretching her arms in a dramatic tired fashion
"Michelle, how do you feel?" Amara questioned to her lover
"I think my wounds are getting better, it doesn't hurt so much."
"Good to see you all up and awake finally!" Luna chirped as she and Artemis ran in from down one of the hallways.
"Everyone, your alright!" Amy got to her feet and began hugging her friends. Seeing them all recover from her medical skills gave her hope that they weren't out of this fight yet. As long as there was breath in their lungs they could find the strength to take on anyone that dared threaten their kingdom.
"Where's Mina & Serena?" Michelle suddenly wondered as she saw no sight of the two.
The realization hit Amy like a ton of bricks. Her sharp, intelligent mind was soon blinded by the realization that she would have to explain to her friends what had happened while they were knocked out cold. How would she explain it to them? Would they understand why she didn't go with the duo or would they blame her for them not coming back yet.
Whatever the case Amy tried to go for her communicator to try her friends again, as she reached the device however she dropped in as her fingers were stung by a sharp electrical shock. "Ouch!"
"Amy you ok?" Lita inquired as she rushed out of bed.
"I'm fine but the communicator, it shocked me!"
"What in the world was that?"
Amy being the intelligent one of the group soon deduced something the others hadn't noticed. All around the room she noticed that electrical sparks were slowly emerging. From the door, windows, metal objects and walls, everything around them had suddenly been coated in some sort of strange electrical field.
Although no words were said among the group, they each had the same sinking feeling. This electrical entrapment was another trap that was set by Captain Kyanite and his followers.
-Outside-
The girls were indeed right about what each were thinking. Slithering miles away from the Hikawa Shrine, the dragon vessel known as Dajinryuu had been in the sky while keeping the Shrine in its radar from a safe distance.
-Dajinryuu-
-The Bridge-
Captain Kyanite & Yura eagerly sat on their respective thrones as they watched the sight of Hikawa Shrine from the bridge. Soon all their problems with the Sailor Scouts would be a thing of the past. The final countdown was in hand at it was assured that they would have victory.
"If only they had noticed the detonator you planted outside the Shrine earlier."
"Sailor Mercury was too busy taking care of them, I snuck in totally undetected, Captain!" She replied. "Once the electrical power is expelled fully, the Scouts will have themselves a real blast!"
"Is it time for the gloating session already?" Hearing a voice address them the duo turned around to see the Sailor Slayer in her disguise form entering from the outside and onto the bridge with them. As she sat down on her thrown she tossed Yura the burnt remains of her raiper as well as the transformation cards she had left.
"What did you do?" Yura's eyes were in panic as she saw the charred remains of her beautiful technology. She pleadingly looked at the Sailor Slayer for answers as she tried to avoid lecturing her on having her equipment destroyed.
The Sailor Slayer shrugged slightly as she kept her head forward, not bothering to deal with Yura's frantic behavior. "Blondie and I had a scuffle, didn't mean for your stuff to get torched!"
"Top grade technology like this doesn't just get scorched!" She cried. "You were careless again and let my beautiful weaponry get destroyed, admit it you were careless?"
"Yura let it go!"
"But Captain, my inventions-"
"You have all the time in the world to rebuild them, now stop worrying."
"Easy for you to say." She mumbled under her breath. Indeed, it was easy for him to say, he was just the Captain not an inventor, he didn't have to worry about the complicated alchemy process in making these weapons. Yura couldn't help but pout slightly, suddenly remembering how much time it was going to take to fix this mess she made.
"Did you take care of Venus?" He questioned.
"She's toast!" Slayer stated
Yura chuckled. "Literally!"
"This is so wonderful, everything is going right to my brilliant plan!" Gleefully getting up from his throne, the Captain swayed through the space around the bridge, chanting and making arrogant remarks about his victory. As he celebrated his early victory, Yura retrieved a single metal box with a giant red button she had on a nearby control panel.
"What's that?"
"A little switch that powers the detonator I placed on the Hikawa Shrine!" She commented. "The Trigger's ready, Captain!"
"But of course, thank you, my dear!" He said as he grabbed the gadget and sat back down on his thrones. "Take a good look at the shrine boys as this is the last time well be pestered by the Sailor Scouts, today we declare victory!"
-Hikawa Shrine-
"Mercury Crystal Power!"
"Mars Crystal Power!"
"Jupiter Crystal Power!"
"Uranus Planet Power!"
"Neptune Planet Power!"
One by one each of the girls shouted their battle cries to initiate transformation, but sadly much to their horror and surprise their powers did not come to them. The group knew that this trap of Captain Kyanite's would not end well but without their powers to guide them, how were they to escape? The walls crackled with electrical power, keeping the group confined to the center of the room. Despair as well as panic set in among their sense as they realized they were trapped with no chance of survival.

-The Bridge-
"Bye bye Sailor Scouts!" Captain Kyanite smirked evilly as he looked down at the button on the device before pressing it hard. On contact, the entire Hikawa Shrine exploded in a fiery blaze. Captain Kyanite and his crew cheered the destruction as debris, was scattered everywhere and smoke erupted from the base.
This was the day that Captain Kyanite had forever been waiting for, the day when he would wipe out all the Sailor Scouts in his favorite dramatic fashion. To see the Shrine destroyed with the Scouts inside overfilled his heart with pride and accomplishment. If only Neo Queen Serenity could have seen the moment that her precious soldiers died, only then would she see that nobody would deny his will.
With the Sailor Scouts now dead, there was nobody to stop the will of Captain Kyanite.
End of Chapter 5
