This particular one-shot was made for National Best Friend Day, which was yesterday. I had forgotten to post it on here but here it is now.
Meimi and Seira were sitting at lunch and Meimi was scrolling around on her phone, looking for something to watch with Seira. "Hey, what's this?" Meimi's question got Seira's attention and the slightly older girl turned to look at what Meimi was doing.
"National Best Friend Day?" Seira spoke, reading what Meimi had just pulled up on her phone.
"I didn't know such a thing existed." Both Meimi and Seira said at the same time. They both grinned at each other.
"Proof that we're best friends, alright." Meimi spoke with a small chuckle. Seira giggled.
"Well, we always hang out." Seira tells Meimi and the girl nodded her head at Seira's words. This is true. She thought, wondering what they could do for their own National Best Friends celebration.
"Do you like banana pudding?" Meimi asked something random and the question caused Seira to think about it. I don't think I've ever had that before. She thought.
"I can't tell you if I like it or not." Seira was very honest with Meimi and it made Meimi's eyes light up. She can try something new with me! Meimi had decided.
"Banana pudding is very sweet. I'm sure you'll like it." Meimi spoke softly.
The two girls went to a dessert shop and a nice woman at the counter took their order and Meimi went back to Seira, seeing that the girl was still nervous around other people. "I'm sorry, Meimi." Seira apologized and Meimi waved off her apology.
"Don't be. I know you're shy." Meimi responded, knowing that Seira was trying to speak up towards other people and she didn't want to force her to speak up, understanding that it was cruel of her to do.
The woman arrived with their order and Seira softly spoke up. "T-thank you." The woman smiled at Seira and Meimi grinned at Seira, silently congratulating her for speaking to the woman. Meimi lifted her spoon and she eyed Seira softly.
"I want you to try it first." Meimi tells Seira and the brown-haired girl nodded her head, lifting her spoon up. Seira took one bite and her eyes sparkled at how good it tasted.
"It's delicious." Seira was smiling widely and Meimi knew that she had done something right.
"Right!" Meimi grinned back at Seira. I'm glad she likes it. She thought, hoping that Seira would enjoy the sweet treat. "Maybe we can come here sometimes?" Meimi suggested and Seira found that she enjoyed that idea. She smiled at Meimi.
"You're the best, Meimi-chan." Seira's words made Meimi blush and Meimi scratched her cheek with one finger.
"Happy National Best Friend Day, Seira." Meimi tells Seira and it was Seira's turn to blush.
The two girls enjoyed their time together until it had time for Meimi to walk Seira home. "I had fun today, Meimi-chan."
"So did I. See you tomorrow, Seira." Meimi waved at Seira and Seira nodded her head as she watched Meimi depart from her house, wondering what sort of adventures they were going to get into tomorrow.
