Watching

The house always seemed to be in chaos. He watched closely as Wilbur Robinson used one of his father's many inventions to utterly destroy the large floor layout.
Is he always like this? He wondered as more furniture got taken apart.
He took notice of the robot – whose name he didn't care to know at the moment – try to talk sense into the youngest family member. When that failed, the metal machine stood by watching the havoc the teenage boy unleashed.
A pair of lights swept across the dark landscape and he jerked his head over to see the car land in the driveway.
Damn! They're back all ready! He quickly pressed himself against the side of the house and moved carefully toward the front door. Hidden by one of the many bushes, too many bushes on the property in his opinion, he could watch the couple get out of the car.
He watched Cornelius grab hold of Franny and be intimate with her.
Bleh. His eyes diverted from the disgusting display. When he looked back he saw Cornelius lean in for a kiss, but he was glad the loud crashing sound stopped him. Not only did they jump, but his shoulders tensed as well. When they finally entered the front door, he quickly made his way across the porch to probe the windows that showed the large open space of the front of the home. He soon learned what caused the loud noise. Wilbur destroyed the fridge.
The entire time he couldn't hear anything anyone said. He only saw their mouths move and their body language. Franny looked furious, Cornelius looked angry, the robot looked nervous, and the boy just looked like he wanted to be somewhere else – absolutely terrified.
Did he not expect to get caught?
The robot quickly scurried out of the room with the ray. Franny dragged Wilbur out of the kitchen and further into the front living area. No longer able to see them, he quickly pulled four silver disks from his pants pocket. He lifted one of his feet from the ground and placed the silver metal disks on the bottom of his boots. On the toes and the heels. With the Anti-Gravity disks on the bottom of his boots he was now able to manipulate the gravity and lift himself into the air.
They are probably taking the boy to his room. I know where that is.
He gave a quick tap of his heels and heard the slight hum of the disks working. Wobbly at first, he gathered his balance before directing himself to the other side of the house. To the window of Wilbur's bedroom. He moved around the window just enough so his eyes could peek in. He found the young boy trying to disappear in a beanbag chair. Cornelius stood near the door with his face free of any emotion. Franny – no longer looking angry – made her way over to the spare beanbag. Her lips moved, but he couldn't understand what she or the others said.
He pressed himself closer to the brick exterior of the house to try and hear what was being said. Hard as he tried, he could only see their lips move with a few words made out.
'Wish I could hear through walls.'
He watched their body language to try and understand what was happening. A mother's hand on a son's knee to offer comfort with every word she spoke to him. Wilbur spoke a few words back, but his lips barely moved apart – perhaps he was mumbling. He grabbed ahold of the rough exterior of the house to allow himself ground to lean further into the window. Through the glare of the glass, he could see Franny remove herself from the beanbag and her son's room.
Where is she going? Is his punishment over with?
He watched the bedroom door close after Franny, but Cornelius remained behind with his son.
Maybe not. The bastard is still present.
He used his hand to push himself away from the young boy's window. The chilly wind pushed through the branches of trees and slipped under his bandage causing the damaged skin underneath to ache. Pressing his hand over his cheek, he moved himself around the back of the house to the windows of the master bedroom – a wild guess that Franny went to her own bedroom since it was late at night.
Just as he arrived on the lip along the exterior wall, the bedroom light flickered on. He jumped out of the way of the glass to avoid being spotted. Only his eyes peeked over the frame to watch. Franny pushed the door closed with her back and removed her shoes by the heel. She carried them on her way into the bathroom just off the bed, her fingers reached around to untie the corset-like back of her dress. The last thing he saw before she disappeared into the bathroom was her pale, smooth skin.
He moved around the house to find the bathroom window. He found Franny in front of the bathroom sink washing her face with a cloth-like wipe, dress replaced with a large t-shirt, and her hair loose down her back. The t-shirt she wore obviously belonged to Cornelius with how big it was on her. The edge of the shirt reached her thighs. He tilted his head as he traced the curve of her backside. It wasn't big, but it was shapely, round, and the perfect size to hold onto.
He blinked.
He shook his head.
That's when Cornelius entered the bathroom. His brows furrowed at the sight of him. His mood dropped, and a foul taste locked onto his tongue. He hardly paid attention to their interaction. He knew he wouldn't be able to control himself at the false lie of care he showed toward her.
He doesn't care. He never cares about anyone by himself.
The light to the bathroom flicked off and the couple disappeared back into the bedroom. No longer in sight.
His fist balled against the wall before he pushed himself away from the home. He lowered himself near a bush before he made his way back to his car parked down the street.

August 2037
The weather was far from content that afternoon. The dark, gray clouds gave a fretful mood. Not a ray of sunlight was able to fight its way past the barrier. Everything looked gloomy. Just like his own mood – shitty.
His alarm hadn't gone off that morning, so his plan to watch the Robinson family didn't happen. Then on his way out of the apartment complex he was staying in the landlord caught him and informed him he had to get out. He had until next Monday.
It was Wednesday.
So what if I'm a month late on rent? I shouldn't have to be kicked out onto the streets.
He slouched further into the bench and sighed.
Robinson. He growled. You did this! You made this happen!
"Mommy? What happened to that man's face?"
He looked at the young girl who spoke. She was walking by with her mother through the park in the center of the city. The mother gave him an 'I'm sorry' look before she told her daughter that it was rude to ask.
His mood turned darker, a hand pressed over his cheek, he glared in the direction of Cornelius Robinson's home – which could be seen from the park.
Just you wait. With a little more watching, I will find the perfect way to bring you down to a whole new low.
