(Hello. If you are reading this, this is a spin-off that has nothing to do with my main fangan series. It's a fun little idea I dreamt up some time ago, and wanted to bring it to life. I hope you enjoy this not so typical fangan!)
"You wished to see me, sir?" A young lady asked, sitting down across from a sharp dressed man at a desk. She was 19 years of age, standing five foot six and weighed 130 pounds with an athletic build. She had straight black hair past her shoulders, dark blue eyes, and a caramel brown complexion. She wore ripped blue jeans, a forest green and white flannel shirt with cutoff sleeves, and black ankle high boots.
"Yes, you're the Ultimate Pit Boss here, right? Catherine Cardenas?" The man asked, having a manila folder on the desk. "Your profile from here suggests that you're a big fan of the show Survivor."
"Ooooh, I really am! I go by Cathy to my friends, just so you know." Cathy answered.
"How would you like the chance to host your very own season of the show?" The man offered her. "We have sixteen Ultimates freshly scouted that we'd like to give the chance of a lifetime."
"You don't have to tell me twice, sir, yes yes and yes!" Cathy agreed.
"Then you know how this goes." The man opened up the manila folder and retrieved the sixteen profiles for Cathy to look over.
Name: Ethan Campbell
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Title: Ultimate Trapper
Cathy's Assessment: Ethan is a very proud person, very proud of his abilities. He has been rumored to even hunt down fugitives for law enforcement just for his amusement. Thing is, I feel like his boisterous nature is going to rub people the wrong way, and could very well lead to a quick downfall.
Name: Katie Wheeler
Age: 19
Gender: Female
Title: Ultimate Rescue Worker
Cathy's Assessment: I get good vibes from Katie already, an outdoorsy gal like her will have no problem adapting to the outdoors aspect of Survivor. While she is a sweetheart, I personally wonder if she'd have the killer instinct to make any sort of strategic gameplay on her own, since her loyalty is unbending.
Name: Spencer Pearson
Age: 17
Gender: Male
Title: Ultimate Lucky Student
Cathy's Assessment: I think I would get along well with Spencer, he's a student of Survivor just like me. Thing is, he's not like that Spencer Bledsoe guy, as he prefers to take a more social standpoint than a gamebot standpoint. He does know what he's doing, so I think he has the potential to make it far.
Name: Morgan Marsh
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Title: Ultimate Privateer
Cathy's Assessment: Yeah, when I first saw Morgan, I immediately thought she was a Florida Woman. Which makes sense, she is from Florida, a self-appointed member of their Coast Guard. She's pretty good at her 'job', but I immediately got Coach vibes from her. I won't be surprised if she's pre-South Pacific Coach with her antics.
Name: Kieran Douglas
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Title: Ultimate Diver
Cathy's Assessment: Right out of the gate, Kieran is noteworthy for going treasure diving, and the treasure is lost items that people would pay good money to get back. He's really enthusiastic, he's got an upbeat attitude, I have the feeling that he might go far, at least to the merge before he's pegged as a physical threat and voted out unless he pulls a Terry Dietz.
Name: Marianna Castillo
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Title: Ultimate Secretary
Cathy's Assessment: I'm going to flat out say it - I'm getting chessmaster vibes from Marianna. It's worth noting that she's worked for Fortune 500 companies and also saved struggling businesses. She's very business like when interacting with others, so I'm not sure how well that'll translate into her social game. Could be a gamebot, could not. It's hard to say.
Name: Griffin Massey
Age: 16
Gender: Male
Title: Ultimate Web Designer
Cathy's Assessment: While Griffin is aloof and seemingly distant, he does make a lot of good points. In fact, he's got a really good read on any situation he finds himself in. I could see him going really far based on the abilities he exhibits, or he might be ousted early if physical challenges work against him.
Name: Charlotte Pearce
Age: 18
Gender: Female
Title: Ultimate Snowboarder
Cathy's Assessment: Charlotte...is a very interesting contestant here. She's very much a fish out of water - I mean, a snowboarder on a tropical island? Nevertheless, while she does appear a bit airheaded at times, Charlotte does remind me of Fabio in a way. It could mean she might have what it takes to adapt and win it all...or get ousted early on.
Name: Carson Lynn
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Title: Ultimate Angler
Cathy's Assessment: Carson is a very chill, very laid back dude. Though he is a quiet guy. While he prefers to keep to himself, in a season of potentially big personalities and players, his ability to stay patient and his easygoing attitude may get him in good with others and get him to the end. I have high hopes that Carson will surprise me.
Name: Savannah Quinn
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Title: Ultimate Fencer
Cathy's Assessment: Savannah is kind of like that stoic sellsword you see from time to time in that Fire Emblem franchise - she's a calm individual, but will only ever get fierce and snippy with those who start things with her. I'm not sure what that would imply for her game, but I get the impression she might be pegged as a threat and taken down at the midgame.
Name: Liam Sharp
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Title: Ultimate Public Speaker
Cathy's Assessment: Ah, Liam, this should be an interesting player to watch. He's well-respected among his peers for being able to motivate and persuade others with his silver tongue, so I think Liam will be a big player to watch in this game. Thing is, I'm not sure if he'll bite off more than he can chew at some point. Every empire crumbles eventually.
Name: Nicole Baker
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Title: Ultimate Event Organizer
Cathy's Assessment: I feel like Nicole is going to become a leader figure for the women, since she's respected for her ability to organize...basically any event you can think of. What I like about Nicole is she's willing to listen to any point of view, and talk it out calmly. I see this as a big boon for her in the game, but it might also be a bane if viewed as a threat.
Name: Tripp Santiago
Age: 19
Gender: Male
Title: Ultimate Courier
Cathy's Assessment: If we needed a villain this season, I think Tripp is going to be our guy. He is ruthlessly efficient on the job, and just has this overall cold and distant demeanor. Now I'm not accusing him of being the next Russell Hantz, because he does seem to have a heart under that exterior and isn't a sociopath...but I'm sensing a downfall in the making.
Name: Poppy Martin
Age: 16
Gender: Female
Title: Ultimate Florist
Cathy's Assessment: Poppy's a real ball of sunshine in general, plucky and able to find a silver lining in any situation. The only thing I can think of being a problem for her is, well, the fact that she doesn't strike me as someone who could be a serious competitor on Survivor. I can be wrong here, but I'm not sure what to say about Poppy.
Name: Adrian Conway
Age: 18
Gender: Male
Title: Ultimate Triathlete
Cathy's Assessment: Remember when I said that Kieran seemed like a big physical threat? Yeah, I think we found someone who can rival him in that regard. Adrian is a spirited competitor, and always looking for a new challenge. Though he is somewhat of a showboat, he doesn't do it out of malice. And yet, I can see people misconstruing that as being a sore winner.
Name: Dakota Sampson
Age: 17
Gender: Female
Title: Ultimate Hairdresser
Cathy's Assessment: Oh boy, I'm getting Courtney Yates vibes from this girl. While Dakota is a very nice person, she is not afraid to state any opinions bluntly to trusted confidants or the confessional camera. I could see her being a snark ninja all season long if she can float to the end, or become a player of her own. We'll see how she turns out.
"Is that all you needed from me?" Cathy asked the man.
"Yes. Keep your phone on, we'll notify you when your pickup is ready," The man responded. "By the way...do you mind sharing some of that delicious barbecue with me?" He had a light-hearted chuckle. "I seemed to have forgotten lunch."
"Oh sure! Just tell me what you'd like and I'll whip it up for ya!" Cathy winked. "I'm not the Ultimate Pit Boss for nothing!"
(So there you go. This isn't going to be your typical fangan ;) Stay tuned for when this premieres whenever I get around to it lol. This idea popped into my head one day and I thought 'Yeah, this could be fun!' Bye for now!)
