Chapter 79 Crolea's Birthday Part 1
When they enter the gym, or Crolea's home, they manage to see Nosy Nosepass, the real deal, with cameras setting in front of the Pokemon.
Nosy Nosepass: Good whatever time of day it is for you, viewers! I'm Nosy Nosepass here at Nosy News, keeping you up to date on the latest happenings in the Ceolis Region! Or at least that's what I would normally be doing, but not today! I've been asked not to go into any detail until it's over, but I have to get ready for an upcoming important event! As such, I won't be in the studio on the day that you're hearing this automated announcement I prepared in advance. This has been Nosy Nosepass! Thank you for listening in!
Ash: I guess he is also invited to the party?
Lillie: Maybe.
But as they enter the room, they haven't seen Crolea, and they see a lot of other people, famous people, gym leaders, and a lot of people that Ash doesn't know about. Emily asks them to get ready as Crolea will be getting in any minute.
?: You four must be Ash, Lillie, Emily, and Gladion, right?
They see that the said person is with Delia and Lusamine, much to everyone's surprise.
Emily: Mom? What are you doing here?
Delia: We were asked by Wendy to come to this party.
Lusamine: (Hugs Lillie) And how is my princess doing?
Lillie: Not in front of the whole crowd! Mother! It's embarrassing!
The others sigh at their parent and child relationship, and then Ash turns to the woman.
Ash: So you are Crolea's mother, also the Steel-type Gym leader Alumia, right? It's nice to finally meet you.
Alumia: That's me. It's an honor to have you here! I'm sure you've heard this countless times by now, but you four have been doing amazing work!
Ash: I'm glad to hear that. I guess Crolea isn't here?
Alumia: I told her to clean her room so that we can prepare this surprise.
Once they are ready, Crolea comes into the room, everyone knows that it is time.
All: HAPPY BIRTHDAY! CROLEA!
Crolea: (Gasps) Everyone really is here!
Alumia: And the birthday girl has arrived! Almost everyone's here now! We're still waiting for the cake, but in the meantime, feel free to hang out and talk to people!
Felicia: While we are waiting, I've got a magic trick~Watch me pull a Litwick out of my hair~
Just then, the Litwick appears, and it is the same one that Ash and Lillie met in the Dark Dungeon.
Litwick: Hello everyone! I heard there was a birthday party!
Guardian: Hello, Litwick! Glad you can make it!
A lot of people are surprised to see a Litwick talking, and Ash is also surprised to see that even the Guardian is attending the party as well.
Emily: Wait...Ash, didn't you say you had a dream about a talking Litwick? Belinda also mentioned one in her diaries...
Litwick: I'm the very same! So anyway, how's the party going? Are we doing anything fun?
Guardian: Right now, we're waiting on the cake!
Litwick: Yummy! I hope it comes soon!
Felicia: (Turns to Ash and Lillie) How did you like my magic trick?
Lillie: It is cool, but how did you find Litwick?
Felicia: I met that Litwick a little while ago, and it asked to be in one of my shows~
Litwick: Though I wonder what kind of cake it'll be!
Delicia: Seven Tier Cake! :D
While Litwick is talking to Delicia about the cake, Ash and Lillie decide to continue walking around and greet other people, they start by talking to Agne, the current Champion of Ceolis.
Ange: If Crolea ends up working with me in the future, the least I could do is go to her birthday party! She thinks it's amazing to have us all here, but really, it's amazing to us that something like this happened too!
Ash: I agree with that. Just look at all the people here...it must be tiring to invite all of them at once.
Lillie: Indeed.
Just then, a girl with blonde hair and a hat comes to the two and gives them each a bowl of ice cream.
ICSW: Hi. I'm Ice Cream Sand Witch! I brought ice cream to go with the cake! (Note: She is the creator of this game)
Lillie: (Takes the bowl of ice cream) Thanks, but Ice Cream Sand Witch? That is a weird name.
ICSW: A lot of people say that.
Then she leaves to give others ice cream, while they taste the ice cream and they find it delicious. Now that's done, they also find Triston, the Water type Elite 4 member, and then they talk to him.
Triston: I allow guests to have weddings and birthday parties at the Underwater Hotel. I've seen standard ones, creative ones, and extravagant ones. But nothing quite like this.
Ash: Well, we have attended a lot of parties back in Alola, but nothing as big as this one as well.
Lillie nods at Ash's statement, and then they spot the Ice Type Gym Leader, Aurora.
Aurora: If this party was in Norall, I'd be able to provide entertainment with my ice skating.
Lillie: (Sweatdrop) Well, there's no ice for you to do that...
Aurora: I did the next best thing. I gave Crolea a free ticket to one of my shows, useable anytime!
?: That will be very nice.
Ash and Lillie turn around to see a woman that they haven't met before. She has blue hair and she is wearing some sort of kimono.
Angela: It's a pleasure to meet you, Ash and Lillie. I've only heard good things about you. My name is Angela, I'm the Flying Type Gym Leader. I suppose I'll be seeing you at my aviary soon.
Ash: Oh, you're the Flying-type leader of Ceolis. So your gym is at the Aviary...you must love a lot of birds, right?
Angela: Why of course. And I'll be glad to see you try to beat them.
Natalie: Angela is strong after all.
Ash also sees Natalie and Draga, as well as another person that they haven't met before.
Natalie: It's been a while, Ash, Lillie! I got the job at Angela's Aviary!
Lillie: Congratulations.
Angela: Unlike me, Natalie uses mostly Flying-type Pokemon that aren't birds, but she is also doing a great job with Flying-types.
Natalie: And I guess I'll be seeing you there soon, but for now, let's enjoy the party!
Draga: Hi, Ash and Lillie!
Ash: Hey, Draga, I am surprised that you'll be here as well, considering you're shy towards others.
Draga: Being around so many people is a little scary, but I wouldn't want to miss Crolea's birthday party. I'm also going to take Natelie up on her offer. Once the party is over, we're flying to Angela's Aviary!
Ryoko: It is great to see my niece growing a lot. (Introduces) My name is Ryoko, you probably heard of me from Draga.
Lillie: You're Draga's aunt and the first Dragon-leader in Ceolis, right?
Ryoko: That's right. Never know this is such a big bright birthday bash!
After talking a while about Dragon-types, they decide to talk to others as they find Belinda and Belladonna.
Belladonna: Seeing everyone together again sort of feels like a school reunion, except more fun and with some new faces.
Belinda: I agree, this is a party not even the Rogues would think about sabotaging! Speaking of, seeing Brutus here brings back old memories. It's good to see him trying to redeem himself.
Ash: Yeah, we all heard the speech back in the Sea Star Shrine, speaking of which, he is also here at the party, right?
Belinda: We saw him talking to Ivan and Meda over there.
Ash and Lillie nod as they chat for a while before going to find the group. But they accidentally bumped into a person who seems to be a hiker.
Lillie: We're sorry.
Clifford: No worries. Ahoy, my name's Clifford. I was Ceolis' first Rock Leader. I've been out of the loop lately, but just because I'm not part of the league anymore doesn't mean I can't go to a birthday party! And even if I haven't been living under a big enough rock to not know about your heroics at the Underwater Hotel.
Ash: I never knew the Underwater Hotel is such a big deal...
Clifford: Thanks for guarding our backs when they're turned, kid. I think it's safe to say I speak for everyone here when I say we all appreciate it! (Leaves to chat with others)
Lillie: So he is the first one to get to the top of the Mt. Comet...
Ash: He looks like someone who might be capable of doing that. But anyway, we are going to find Brutus and the others, right?
Lillie: Yeah.
And I'll end the first part of the chapter here. To get onwards to the story, you have to talk to everyone in the room, of which there are 44 people.
