The Cooper Gang were now in their hideout. Kara had by now grew accustomed to life on Earth. She learned what food was. She learned about things like TV and radio. Kara was now watching an episode of Star Trek on TV with Murray. She was still wearing her red and blue costume. She wanted to get out of her costume. Kara was afraid that neither Sly, Bentley or Murray would be able to recognize her if she changed her identity.
Supergirl enjoyed the episode of Star Trek. She wanted to tell Murray something. She paused the TV show. Kara turned her head toward the hippo, who was munching on Pringles.
"Murray. I need to tell you something." Kara said to the hippo.
"What is it, Kara?" Murray asked Kara.
"Do you mind if I change my outfit?" Kara asked Murray.
"Sure you can change your costume." Murray said to Kara. "You don't need to tell me."
Kara got up from her bed and walked to the bathroom. Once she entered the bathroom, Kara began to materialize clothes out of nowhere onto her body. She instantly changed her hair color from blonde to a brunette in the blink of her eyes. She had a green uniform on. She looked liked a totally different person. Kara exited the bathroom. Kara entered the living room. She saw Bentley and Sly playing a board game. Kara walked over to Sly and Bentley.
"Hi." Kara said to Sly and Bentley.
The raccoon and turtle looked up at Kara. The woman who was once Kara Zor-El now looked completely different. She had brown hair. She wore a green school uniform. She had on a brown skirt. She looked like a completely different person.
"Who are you?" Sly asked the human woman.
"I'm Kara." The brunette woman said to Sly.
"You don't look like Kara at all." Bentley said.
"Well, I am not really Kara. I'm Linda Lee." Linda said.
"It's nice to meet you Linda." Sly said to Linda.
"It's nice to meet you too." Linda Lee said to Sly.
"Where is Kara?" Bentley asked Linda.
"Kara left to go somewhere. She said she'd back later." Linda said to Bentley and Sly.
"Ok." Sly said.
Linda walked away from the raccoon and turtle. Sly and Bentley resumed their board game. Linda sat on the couch and she watched TV for a while. 25 minutes later, Murray went into the living room. He sat next to Linda. The hippo didn't recognize the woman at first. The woman introduced herself to Murray as Linda Lee. When Murray asked Linda where Kara Zor-El was, she said that Kara had to leave somewhere. Murray was ok with Linda's statement.
Eventually, Murray decided that it would be a good idea for he and his friends to go camping and make a barbecue. Sly and Bentley liked the idea of being out in the wilderness and having a barbecue. Linda wanted to come with the Cooper Gang. They said yes to her. A few minutes later, Sly, Bentley, Murray and Linda were in the Cooper van, on their way to a secluded area for then to have a barbecue. It was dusk outside. Murray drove the van for a couple of hours. They eventually reached their destination. The Cooper Gang got of of the van and walked toward an open field. Sly and Linda gathered some firewood.
Bentley and Murray gathered some kindling for the fire. Linda decided it would be a good idea to change into her Supergirl persona. Linda changed into her Supergirl costume behind the Cooper Van. Kara Zor-El appeared now. When Sly, Bentley and Murray saw Kara again, they asked her where she was. Kara said that she had to go meet her cousin Kal-El. The Cooper Gang wondered where Linda Lee was. They didn't question it further.
Sly, Murray, Bentley and Kara were all sitting down by the campfire. They were all eating sausages. Kara Zor-El was having the time of her life. She felt sad. She missed her friend Zaltar. Zaltar was Kara's best friend. Ever since she escaped Argo City in a escape pod and landed on Earth, Kara had been thinking non stop about Zaltar. Supergirl didn't know that Zaltar had been sent to the Phantom Zone for losing the Omegahedron.
"What are you thinking about, Kara?" Sly asked the costumed girl.
"I've been thinking about my friend Zaltar." Kara said to the raccoon.
"Who's Zaltar?" the raccoon asked Supergirl.
"Zaltar's my friend from Argo City. He has this want that could create the illusion of life. He made a figure of a tree." Supergirl said to the Cooper Gang.
"How does he create trees?" Bentley asked Kara.
"Zaltar had this wand that could create living things like trees and mosquitoes. I fooled around with the wand and I created a mosquito that accidentally punctured a hole in our city's protective barrier. The Omegahedron was sucked through the hole. Zaltar sealed the hole up with his wand. I decided to go to this planet to look for the Omegahedron. The Omegahedron is Argo City's vital power source. Without it, Argo City will go dark and the air will be thin." Kara said to Sly, Murray and Bentley.
"What does this Omegahedron look like?" Sly asked Kara.
"The Omegahedron is a small spherical ball." Kara said.
"How can a small ball power up an entire city? That doesn't make any sense." Bentley said to Kara.
"It makes sense to my world." Kara said.
"Where is the Omegahedron?" Sly asked Kara.
"I don't know where it is." Kara said. "I'm determined to find the Omegahedron and return it to Argo City."
"Ok." Sly said.
Supergirl looked at the campfire. She ate her sausages. She still wore her signature Supergirl suit. She then decided to show the Cooper Gang her incredible superpowers.
"I have superpowers." Supergirl said to the raccoon, turtle and hippo.
"You do?" Sly asked Kara. "What are your superpowers?"
"I'll show you." Kara said to the Cooper Gang. Supergirl stood up. She hovered a few feet off the ground. She was floating in the air. Sly, Murray and Bentley were astonished when they saw Supergirl hovering in mid-air. Supergirl then flew over their heads. She flew a couple of miles in the air for a while before eventually returning to where the Cooper Gang was. Supergirl landed softly on the ground. Sly, Murray and Bentley were shocked.
Supergirl then extinguished the campfire with her ice breath. The fire was completely out. It was night time out. The moon shone brightly on the Cooper Gang and Supergirl. Supergirl then used her heat vision to start the fire back up again. She took Sly's cane and she bent the hooked end into a spiral. The Cooper Gang was astounded by her powers. They seriously thought that they were dreaming.
"What do you guys think about my powers?" Supergirl asked the raccoon, turtle and hippo.
"I think you're powers were amazing, Kara!" Sly said.
"Glad you guys like my superpowers." Supergirl said.
Supergirl sat back down on the ground. It was right then and there that Sly, Murray and Bentley decided to have Kara Zor-El join the Cooper Gang. Kara agreed to join the Cooper Gang under one condition: that the Cooper Gang keep Supergirl's powers a secret from the rest of the world. The Cooper Gang agreed to keep Supergirl's powers a secret. That was how Supergirl joined the Cooper Gang as their first female member.
