Hello everyone! Sorry for the extremely long wait. If I am to be honest, I kind of forgot that I had even been writing stories. I think it's time I try to start continuing these stories but we will see how far that gets. I am now in college and have work so I don't know how often I will actually feel like writing. Not to mention that these stories had originated from like a fourteen year old's mind so who knows where these stories will lead to. Anyways, here is a short chapter to somewhat carry on this story. Don't know when I'll have the next chapter ready. Was a little hard to even write this one but what's a bit of writing without the unknown? I hope y'all enjoy this crappy chapter.

Kagome climbed out of the well after a four day trip home. She had needed to restock on supplies and to catch up on all her schoolwork. After all, it would do her no good to fall too behind in her studies. It was not guaranteed that she would remain in the feudal era forever. She, however, was not expecting to stumble upon a befuddled group of friends when she returned.
"Hi guys! Is something wrong? You all seem kind of sullen." They all had downcast faces and wondered how to tell her. After all, it was not everyday that a powerful dog demon inquires about your friend, wins a battle and doesn't take the sword he was seeking after. It was Shippo who was the first to speak.
"Mama, you would never believe it. Sesshomaru came and defeated InuYasha in battle but didn't even try to take the tetsusaiga! He even inquired about your whereabouts!" By this point, Shippo was in her arms and the others had snapped out of their sullen thoughts.
"It was indeed strange to have him come here and not even take the sword he's been desperately seeking. Not to mention inquiring about a human that travels with his brother. It almost seems as if he was interested in her and is using the quest for the sword as a coverup." Miroku put his thought in.
"But Sesshomaru has always hated humans since we've known him and has never actively pursued one. It doesn't make any sense." Sango retorted. And she had a point. He never went after a human and always seemed to avoid them.
"Well…. we do know he has that human girl that always follows him around. Maybe he's slowly becoming fonder of humans? Either that or maybe he is just after me for my power? But that doesn't make any sense either. I'm not anywhere near as strong as him and I don't see a reason why he would need me unless it was to take care of Rin." Kagome had also shared her thoughts on the matter. It was a bit alarming on why Sesshomaru was so concerned with her whereabouts.
"Anyways, where is InuYasha? We should probably be leaving soon. We can try to figure out Sesshomaru while searching for the shards." After being told he was probably near the Goshinboku, she went to go check on him. Once she had arrived she saw him sitting in a branch lost in his thoughts. Probably having a hard time accepting his defeat.
"InuYasha, I'm here! Do you wanna talk?" It took a moment before she even got a response. She could tell he was lost in his own world. Once he got out of it, he looked down (with his usually scowl) and proclaimed that he didn't need to talk and that they just needed to get a move on since the shard won't find themselves. Kagome knew that was his way of saying he didn't want to talk about it, didn't want to acknowledge his defeat and the confusion that had come with the arrival of his brother. She supposed they would just have to wait until they see Sesshomaru again to receive any answers regarding his strange behavior that day. She only hoped that nothing bad would happen when that time came.
