(First Person)
" Well This is it folk, These two lovely and talented performers have finished their exciting performances, Grab your Glow Casters and get ready to cast your votes" Monsieur Pierre exclaimed while nonchalantly walking down the stairs to the center of the stage, in between me and the queen of kalos herself, Aria
" Everybody ready to go?" he asked bringing my attention solely back onto to the large amount of people in front of me, the stage lights so bright that I could only see outlines of the people "ONE ,TWO,THREE" he shouted one more time before everyone lifted their glow Casters up releasing the tiny dots of pink and green light quickly making their ways towards me and Aria
'this is it this is what will decide if all my hard work will pay off or not' I thought as the first few dots of light made their way to me and Aria, before I scrunched my hand into fist ' you know what...no! I'm gonna win this! I'm gonna prove that my hard work wasn't for nothing!' I practically yelled in my mind so loud I couldn't hear what Monsieur Pierre was saying
I closed my eyes as the last groups of dots of light went in to the key I had pinned into the pocket on my shirt, my hands still scrunched into fist as I heard the lights turn off and the huge spotlights turn on
" And the new revered title of kalos queen or the first ever kalos king belongs to..." He said as time slowed as I still held my eyes closed and prayed to Arceus " Please Please Please" I murmured to myself before I opened my eyes
" Performer Axel, which means the reigning queen has been decrowned, making Axel the first ever crowned kalos king!" he shouted excitedly
"congratulations" he added before the crowd started roaring with applause as the spotlight was focused on me
" I-I did it" I whispered so quiet that I could barely hear it due to the crowd, as I could feel tears sting my eyes as a huge smile over came my face " I did it!" I yelled this time not holding back at all before I could feel the tears start running down my face as the crowd of people started cheering my name
"AXEL, AXEL,AXEL" they cried
As I stood their thanking them as I didn't know what else to say in that moment
"AXEL,AXEL,AXEL" they cried even louder
again and again and again and before long it started to physically hurt my head as I put my hands around my ears to muffle their cries to no avail
"AXEL!, AXEL!,AXEL...GET UP" they shouted one more time before my eyes flew open
(First Person)
As I slowly opened my eye's i was met with a blinding light that instantly made me close my eyes again as i heard the voice of my very annoyed mother "Axel, for Arceus sake, its about time you got up i swear waking you up is like trying to get a snorlax up without a pokeflute" she snapped, as i just kept opening my eyes so they could adjust to the light
"now come on you don't want to be late to your first day of camp you still have to pack and everything" she said with her tone softened now "I beg to differ" I responded as I finally managed to keep my eyes open to see my mom standing beside my bed looking ready for the day as usual, to say my mom was a morning person would be an understatement, for as long as i can remember she has always got up early in the morning and took a shower,made breakfast for me and my little sister,ect. you get the point,but unlike my mom i could totally do without mornings and sleep in but life is never that easy
"oh whatever, now hurry up and take a shower and when your done come done for breakfast" she said before turning around to leave " wait mom where is Ana?" I asked her before she could close the door completely " Oh she's down stairs eating breakfast with us sweetie" she responded as she poked her head back into the door " oh ok, thanks ill be down in a little" I replied " no problem sweetie" she said before she closed the door
As soon as she left I swung the blanket off me before sitting up with a sigh 'I really don't want to go to professor sycamore's summer Camp, I mean i could think of so many better things to do than be forced to stay in a cabin with people I don't know and do stupid activates, the only thing i can even think that could be even remotely fun is being able to hangout with Ana' I thought as i rubbed my eyes ' but its not like i can change my moms mind at this point, i mean its not like im mad at her or anything i mean without her i would probably stay asleep for half the day and as good as that sounds i know it would be bad' so with that thought I begrudgingly got out of bed got some clothes and went out of my room to take a shower
(Third Person)
As soon as Axel made his way down stairs to the dining room he was greeted by his pokemon partner Ana a kirlia as it jumped into his chest "good morning master" she said telepathically "Goodmorning to you too Ana" he said with a laugh as he caught her and held her to his chest, Axel's kirlia was not just any kirla though his had orange Crest instead of red ones and blue were it was supposed to be green,this is what he had come to find out as a shiny pokemon via the internet
"well I have to say, I'm surprised you actually came down to join us" his younger sister teased him as he took his seat beside her where there was a plate of eggs and bacon waiting for him "Oh shut up Alice, I was just enjoying my last pleasant moment's before I have to go to camp" he retorted while placing Ana in his lap "Oh please, stop being a baby" she joked with a smug grin "Well I'm gonna tell you the same thing when you have to go and you're gonna be the one acting like a baby" he threatened in a playful way, as much as he and his sister teased each other and got into small fights they really did care about each other and its been that way since she was born 11 years ago
"Alright Alice stop teasing your brother, he needs to eat so he can be ready to face all those strong trainers he's gonna beat at camp" his dad said form across the table
"Right son" he added while looking at him
"yea...sure" Axel said sadly "is something wrong" his dad asked questionably "oh no no...it's just that, don't you think your kinda over estimating how strong me and Ana are?" Axel responded confidently "N-not like I'm saying me and Ana aren't strong, but we do have are limits" he added his confidence completely gone by the stare his father was giving him before he broke out in a huge grin "nonsense I can guarantee you that you and Ana will beat everyone in that camp" he insisted to which Axel just nodded with the most convincing smile he could muster not having anymore will power to disagree with his father
It's not like Axel didn't enjoy battling, infact he enjoyed it a lot and has since he caught Ana those five years ago he would battle at any chance he could, but it's not something he could see himself pursuing as a dream, no what Axel wanted to be was a pokemon performer ever since he was able to get a hold of his first device that he could watch videos on he would keep up with what was happening in the pokemon performer world as much as he could and the first time he saw Aria perform he knew what he wanted to pursue as his dream, but the problem with that was that as far as Axel knew there is no such thing as a Male pokemon performer plus on top of all that he couldn't imagine how disappointed his father and family would be in him, so for the past couple of years Axel has kept his real dream a secret from everyone
"Master" Axel heard a voice in his mind before a smile over came the frown on his face ' well everyone besides one' he thought before staring down at his lap knowing instantly who the voice belonged to, and as expected his partner Ana was looking up at him giving him a sympathetic smile, the only one who he knew he could tell his deepest secrets too, "Don't worry you'll get a chance to tell him some day, no need to rush it" he could hear her voice in his head as she gave him a smile " yeah your right, thanks Ana" he whispered with a smile he didn't have to fake before giving her a quick scratch on her head
"Alright come on Axel you barley even have touched your food and i know if you don't eat now you'll be Hungry later" his mom said bringing his attention back to everyone else at the table " and you still have to pack" she added while shooting him daggers "Okay ,Okay mom ill eat as fast as i can,but if i choke and die im blaming it on you" he said as he shoved a big piece of egg down his throat
(3rd Person)
"Alright son, you go and show all those trainers whose boss and make your dad proud" Axels dad said once him and Ana were outside with their stuff for camp
"Yea go get'em big brother" Alice said while pumping her fist in the air " Ok Ok I'll do my best just for you guys" Axel said while rubbing the back of his head nervously " Oh and you too Ana" Alice added as she bent down to rub Ana on her head "Kirl kirlia" Ana said in pokespeech as she did a quick twirl
"Remember once you leave Shalour city it should just be a quick walk to the camp" his mom reminded him " okay mom ill Remember" Axel groaned " and honey Remember to have fun, that's what camping is all about" she said with a sweet smile "I'll try my best" he said sincerely and just like that he stepped off his front porch and onto the sidewalk and waved back to his family as they shouted their goodbyes before he turned back to the sidewalk as he let out a sigh
"master are you okay" Ana said telepathically making him turn to Ana were she was floating beside him "Oh yea it's just that I don't really know about this whole summer camp thing, it just doesn't sound appealing I mean Its not like I'm shy it's just...um you know... it's hard to explain I guess I just don't want to disappoint my dad I feel like he expects me to be some great trainer when that's not even what I want to be I know it's not his fault if anything it's my fault for not telling him I don't want to be a great well known trainer I just wish things were easier" Axel stammered 'that's ok master things are always hard when you begin something, but things will become easier soon just trust me' Ana said trying to comfort him with a smile ' and just think of this as an opportunity to make friends and get stronger as a regular trainer I mean you can carry out your dream to be a performer and be a trainer at the same time, who knows maybe you will meet someone at this camp who can give you tips to get on the path to be a pokemon performer' Ana said while floating in from front of Axel making him stop in his track
' I don't know what I did to deserve you,but I'm glad I can be your trainer' Axel thought before a smile overcame his face
" you know what you're right I've been looking at this whole camp thing wrong the whole time I've been seeing it as a problem instead of an opportunity" he exclaimed before scooping Ana up and and holding her to his chest for a hug
" thanks Ana i don't know what I'd do without you" he added before letting her go and grabbing her hand "come on we don't want to be late" he said with a new demeanor before taking off to the city gates so fast he didn't notice the huge blush on Ana's face
