KC's birthday was a hit! Brenda looked around the backyard and is very impressed with the set up. Unicorn themed party, who would have thought? Pastel colored balloons and different decors around the yard, 2 layered cake was there at the center of the mini stage set up with a four feet acrylic letters KC ONE.

It was beautiful, Val and Donna outdid themselves.

Her family and friends started to show up, kids running around enjoying all the activities set up at one side of the garden, they have face painting, cotton candy booth, and a booth where they can choose their own unicorn balloons to blow up and play with.

The parentals were having a good chat and watching the kids enjoy the party.

Brenda on the other hand, has a mixed feeling, she'll be leaving again. She doesn't like leaving her friends and the kids now that she just gotten used to having them near her, but she knew she needed a fresh start.

"Penny for your thoughts Ms. Maggie?" Dylan said, breaking her trance

"No one has called me that in a long time! Actually no one ever called me that" Brenda smiled, remembering her first major stunt in LA theater.

"O well, you will always be Maggie to me, you know that." Dylan drinks his soda in hand, and asked "All packed for tomorrow?"

"Yeah, everything's ready. I am so going to miss being here"

"That's just temporary Bren, right?"

They locked eyes; both knew that neither of them can lie to each other. "Yes, I will be back D"

"Well then, let's enjoy the party. This is for you too. C'mon" Dylan push Brenda lightly towards their friends.

"Bren, look at KC!" Donna squealed, Brenda laughs at Donna, she has a butterfly painted at her face, just like Alyssa's.

Brenda looked at KC and chuckled, KC has a heart painting on her cheek matching Valerie's, who holding KC now.

Dylan shakes his head; this was obviously Val's doing "What did you do to my Goddaughter?" taking KC from Val

"Protective much?" Val fire back

"At least, it looks adorable on KC" come back Dylan.

Valerie stuck her tongue out to Dylan, making the young girls laugh. "You siwy Aunt Val" KC try as she may, still not able to speak in full sentences

"That she is, my love" Brenda just shook her head getting KC from Dylan "Are you enjoying your party baby?"

KC nod her head yes with the biggest smile, "Awwww you're too cute, I wanna eat you!"

"No mommy! No!"

While everyone is enjoying, Bane finally made an appearance. He stood at the back door entrance watching the scene before him, this is supposed to be my family, I lost everyone with one stupid drunken mistake.

"Bane, come in" The ever so gentle Cindy Walsh, greeted her son-in-law, this is her granddaughter's party, and she won't let any drama occur in her watch.

Not sure how to face his in-laws, Bane politely nod and said thank you.

Brandon saw Bane and moved closer to where Brenda is, Brenda gave her twin brother a nod, saying it's ok.

"Bane, you came" Brenda almost whisper, showing little to no emotion

"Of course, beau… sorry" Bane noticed Brenda's almost glare hearing his term of endearment "Of course I'm here Brenda, thank you for allowing me to be here"

"Here take KC, spend time with her I just need to do something inside" Brenda handed KC to Bane with full confidence that the gang will be there to make sure KC is ok. She didn't want to spend any minute in the same space with Bane there, and she hopes he gets it.

Brenda looked at Dylan, silently asking him to look out for KC. Dylan gave her a that-goes-without-saying look then nods at her.

This doesn't go unnoticed by Bane, his heart ache, he knew nothing's going on between them, but that exchange there only goes to show that Brenda and Dylan knew each other better than anyone else.

Polite exchanges happen between Bane, Andrea, Janet, and David, but no one else from the gang, or the parentals talked to him, he focused on KC, she's gotten big, and she looks more and more like her mom.
"Dada" KC touched her father's face with her chubby little hand "Wav you" then buried her sleepy head into his neck

Valerie more than Dylan, is watching Bane like a hawk. Giving him dirty daggers occasionally making it known to him that she doesn't like him at the moment.

"She's sleepy, I think it's time for her nap" Shae step in and attempted to get KC

"Can I put her to bed? I am going out as soon as this little girl is asleep, I promise"
"Well, I have to ask Brenda first" Brandon answered, Bane nodded in agreement; he'll take anything he can, then Brandon walks towards the house bumping into his twin on the way in.

"Hey, he wanted to put KC down for her nap, then he'll be leaving, would that be ok?"

"I guess, I mean were leaving tomorrow, I'm sure he wanted to spend as much time as he can with her."
Brenda having the biggest heart, understood Bane.

"Yeah, but I'll be right outside that door, just to be sure"

"Brandon, Bane is not a monster, he won't hurt me specially KC." Grateful for her twin's protectiveness, but unnecessary.

"If you're sure"

"100%"

They both walk back to where the gang is, KC's fighting to close her eyes, wanting to know everything's been going on her party.

"Give it up doll, time for your nap, Daddy will put you to bed" Brenda said, Bane smiled appreciatively towards her. But Dylan and Val have different reaction.

Brenda turned towards them "Behave you two" pointing fingers towards them.

Bane, Brenda, and KC went upstairs to Brenda's old room.

"You can put her in bed, she falls asleep faster here, she's gotten used to it."

Bane nodded and followed her instruction. Bane carefully put KC down in the middle of the bed, the girl still trying to keep her eyes open. "Sleep now princess, you're tired and you need to rest for tomorrow"

Brenda kept herself busy, checking her bags and luggage. She heard him but didn't react.

When KC finally succumb to sleep, Bane gently stood up and went to the other side of the bed, "Bren can we talk?"

Brenda sighs but nods yes.

"Brenda, can you please look at me"

Tears in her eyes, she looked at him.

"I know, we already talked about this, and I know that your mind is clearly made up, but for KC please can you at least take the cards? You can use it even just for KC's stuff, strictly for KC."

"I can take care of her you know"

"I know Brenda and I am not doubting that it's just, that's the only thing I can do for now, or ever. To make sure you girls, have everything you needed." Bane lowered his head, defeated and heartbroken.

"I love you both with my life Brenda, just because I am agreeing with this set up, doesn't mean otherwise, I know I have hurt you, and probably won't be able to make up to you in this life time, but I will say this to you, I will always love you and KC, and I will be here, even just as a friend, whenever you need me"

Brenda is crying, and aches for this man, he had put her to pedestal and worship the ground she's walking. How did they get here?

"I destroyed us Bren, I will live and be miserable knowing that I destroyed us."

"I am sorry that I cannot move pass this, I tried Bane, really. Like I said, I may be able to forgive you, but I won't ever forget what happened, and I can't live like that Bane, I don't want to resent you after 10 years or so, I don't want to have anxiety attacks every now and then fearing that you're out somewhere with someone other than me."

Bane hugged sobbing Brenda, "You deserve better Bren, I will be ok, we will be ok"

"I promise you, KC won't ever forget you, I will make sure that you will have a relationship with her, just give me this time, when I come back, we will talk about KC, I swear to God"

"I know, I already signed all papers needed, and it'll be process immediately, hopefully you'll be back then"

"Did you really think that Dylan and I are fooling around behind your back?" Brenda asked the one question she had been dying to ask her husband since this all started.

"Honestly? No Brenda, no. I trust you and I trust Dylan. As cliché as it sounds, I was just really drunk and stupid"

Brenda just nodded; she didn't know what to say anymore. Both are clearly broken hearted by this, but they have come to an end.

"Will you ever tell me where you're going?"

"I will be somewhere safe, I promise"

"Ok, won't push it, but please take the cards? For KC, I swear just for KC"

Brenda rolled her eyes, both knew that was a lie, but she took it, "I will, but I won't use this, just so you know. Even that funds you subtlety transfer to my personal account last night, or the one's in KC's account"

"Then don't let it sit in there and earn interests… for KC's future."

"I am sorry Bane, you moved your life here for me and I am…"

"I told you not to blame the woman I love, didn't I?" Bane said just trying to lighten the mood "You did nothing wrong, it's me ok? I did this. And don't worry about me, I came to like California, you're both here, what's not to love"

"Bane"

"I know, I know… just saying" Bane just stared as her, drinking in her beauty, "I will miss you Bren, I guess this is it"

"As soon as I get settled in, I will somehow let you know were safe and ok"

"Please do that, you know where and how to reach me. I will stay put and wait for you and KC"

With one last hug Brenda whispered her goodbye to her husband. "Goodbye Bane"

After Bane left the room Brenda sat down on the floor hugging her knees, crying.

Not because she wanted divorce and wanted to go away, that this is all easy on her. She is heartbroken.

"I know you're in there, come out now"

Valerie pushed the adjoining bathroom door and peaked "I swear I am not eavesdropping; I just want to make sure you're ok"

"Just like Dylan and Brandon?" Brenda knew them well; Val pushed the door open revealing the 2 other mentioned.

"You ok sis?" Brandon sat down beside her

"I will be, how's the party? Everyone left?" Brenda standing up and fixing herself in her mirror, 3 sets of eyes stares at her not believing her "I swear, I am ok." She went and carefully transferred KC from her bed to the crib, she set the baby monitor on and gave KC a last kiss before facing them again.

"I'm ok. Let's go back to our friends…" she moved pass them and darted towards the door.

"She thinks she can fool us?" Dylan asked the other two

"Nah, she knows that, why do you think she hurry back downstairs?" Val laughing at Brenda's attempt to avoid them.

When the trio reached the backyard, Brenda was playing with Bea. Pretending that everything's fine in front of their friends and family.

Soon the party died down, Jim and Cindy went back to their hotel, promising to be back for brunch and to see Brenda and KC off.

There left in Casa Walsh living room are Brandon, Shae, Val, and Dylan. Brenda went up to check on KC.

"So, Bren's last night here, has she talked to any of you where she's going?" Shae asked the other three.

"No" All three answered in perfect unison

"Really?" Val asked Dylan in particular "She didn't tell you?"

"No, we talked the other day, just about anything but not about where she's going."

Dylan and Brenda met the other day, just to talk and clear the air between them, nothing's going on, but surely, they both feel the pull, they're familiar with it. They know that road well. But they are older now and wiser, their friendship is so much stronger than ever, and they both come to an agreement not to break that friendship ever.

"But you know right?" Brandon tests Dylan, "You always claim that you know her better than anyone else"

Dylan smirk at them, Val and Brandon still won't accept it but they obviously know that he is right, he know Brenda better than anyone else "Maybe…"

"Ass!" Valerie smacked him across his chest "I have a pretty guess but, it's Brenda you know her…"

"When Brenda left before, you knew she's with Iris" Shae pointed out to Dylan

"Yeah…" Dylan acknowledged

"That's what I thought, you were calm and never even asked us about it" Brandon said

"She didn't tell me, I just knew, she wanted to visit mom for a while now, and took that opportunity to fly to Hawaii"

"Do you think she's going back there?" Val asked

"Nah, Brenda wouldn't do that" this time Brandon answered, and Dylan agreed.

"Guys, no need to guess, you can just ask me you know" Brenda said entering the living room, slouching between Val and Dylan

"KC ok?" Shae asked

"Sleeping like an angel, can't believe she's two today!"

"You did well Sis, she's perfect." Brandon patted Brenda's knees. "Well, if we can ask you, where are you going?"

All four waited for her answer "This calls for 2 scoops of butter pecan, c'mon let's move this in the kitchen" She got up and the others follows.

When everyone got their ice cream, Brenda started telling them her plan "I will be flying back with mom and dad to Hongkong"

Dylan smiled; he was right. He really does know her better than anyone else.

"Hongkong Bren? That's in another continent, too far from us" Valerie said sadly, stating the obvious.

"You're coming back, right?" Brandon had to ask

"I am coming back, I was actually going there and meet Roy Randolf, he's doing a little play in there and wanted me to check it out, and he might have something for me, just to take my mind off of…"

The others nodded in agreement, anything to keep her busy and helps her move on is much welcome thought.

"How do you even know she'll be in Hongkong?" Valerie asked Dylan, out of all the places she has in her mind, she never once considers Brenda going to her parents.

"Well, I know her… she might act like she doesn't need the parental units, but Brenda will always need Cindy and Jimbo, and at times like this? She would definitely want them around"

Brenda wasn't surprised to hear Dylan speaking her thoughts out loud, he really can read her like a book.

"That came across my mind, I am your twin after all, it's just that mom and dad, or even you didn't give out anything to solidify my suspicion, they even told us, they'll be here to see you off."

Brenda has to laugh, speaking like a true journalist, gathering all facts before coming up into conclusion.

"Well, I didn't ask them to lie, they just assumed that I don't want you guys to know, I just never corrected them" Brenda said, finishing her ice cream

"I cannot thank you guys enough, I promise I will be back in no time, and Bran please don't get married until I come back, ok?"

"We won't Bren, you have to be here, or I won't have my maid in honor" Shae said hugging Brenda

"And I will be here, doing all my duties in time for your wedding I swear"

"You know, you're my best man, right?" Brandon turned to Dylan

"Man can't you ask me nicely?" Dylan mocked the girls theatrical and teasing Brandon "Put a little emotion… and don't just assume I'll do it"

"Oh, c'mon D, you know you'll do it. Cut the crap." Val stated

The guys laugh and continue talking and teasing each other just to lighten the mood in there, Dylan turned serious and concern, he faced Brenda and asked, "Do you have everything you need for tomorrow?"
"Yes D, all is set. Bane even left all my cards and transferred fortune in mine's and KC's account" She's laughing at this

"He did? Will you use it? If not, can I borrow one?" Trust Val to find any situation amusing

"I won't, but I can… so let's see" She looked over her brother and Dylan "I will be fine, I promise"

With that, everyone headed for bed, Dylan staying on the couch again.

So what do you think? I am so happy that I decided to continue this story, I have a great story line planned, so please bear with me and for now, just go with it.
