Beep – Beep – Beep

Annabeth's alarm rang. It was her first day at a new school. Her father, step - mom and step - brothers had all moved to New York from San Francisco due to a project her dad was working on. She would be finishing the rest of her sophomore year at Goode high school and was currently oblivious to the romantic side of her life that was yet to come. She brushed her blonde curls and took a final look at her reflection in the mirror. She wasn't vain; she just wanted to make a good impression. Her stormy grey eyes approved of what they saw. She wore an orange shirt and blue denim trousers. Finally happy, she slung her heavy book-filled bag over her shoulder and walked out of her bedroom door.

Around the street corner, a boy of the same age had just been woken by his beautiful, brunette mother. She tousled his messy hair as he opened his sea green eyes. "It's time for school Percy", she whispered. He nodded and began to wash and change. "Come down when you're ready for breakfast!" She said before leaving the room. Percy was another sophomore student at Goode high school. He was captain of the swim team and part of a wide and popular friendship group. His step - father ,Paul Blofis, worked there as an English teacher. Percy too didn't know what lay ahead but with a final yawn he ran downstairs for his blue breakfast before running out to join his cousins Thalia and Nico for the walk to school.

Arriving at school

Annabeth:

Upon arrival at the school, Annabeth was shown around by another student named Reyna. She was the sophomore rep and it was her duty to give a tour to the new students. After this, she left Annabeth alone so that she could get used to her surroundings. Annabeth put her bag into her locker and then grabbed her planner, pencil case and a few notebooks as well as another book on architecture which was her passion.

As she turned around she bumped into someone and all her things fell. She had never been so embarrassed in her life. She bent down and mumbled her apologies. Surprisingly the person she had bumped into bent to help her. As they lifted their heads they noticed each other's eyes. Stormy grey and sea green. The person she had bumped into was a boy with rather messy hair. Still staring he returned her books and their fingers touched. A bolt of electricity flew through them. Neither of them had ever felt this before. But all of a sudden the bell rang and students began to rush to make their way to home room blocking Annabeth's view of him. The moment was over and she followed the crowd to her home room still thinking about those emerald eyes. However she tried to get them out of her head. She didn't want to be hurt again.

Percy:

Percy lost sight of the beautiful, blonde girl. Those eyes were so different and he knew that he had never seen them before. He felt the electric shock too and didn't want to let go of her gaze. But sadly all moments come to an end and so there's did when students began to rush to home room. He broke out of his daze and tried to find the girl again, failing. He made a silent vow to find her again so that he could understand what this sudden feeling he had in his heart was.
