Arriving in the car Hailey started driving as on the outward journey. They would return immediately to the district to tell others what they had discovered and to hear of the discoveries of others.

The detective was about to start the car engine when something triggered her attention.

Jay hadn't gone up yet. From the driver's seat he couldn't see where he was. They had left the club together. He was behind her, what had happened?

She immediately got out of the car, and it was then that she saw him. He was on the passenger side, he was still coughing, hunched over in enough pain, holding up from the car. Once finished he remained motionless, with one hand resting on the car and one on his chest that closed in a fist clutching his shirt.

Quickly Hailey walked over to him.

- Jay, are you okay? - She asked him.

He didn't answer immediately, it was as if he was having a hard time breathing. Every part of his body hurt.

- Yes, all right,- he said as soon as he recovered.

The detective went on and after opening the door he dropped into the seat like a sack of potatoes.

Immediately after him, Hailay left, determined to take a small detour before returning to the district.

While they were traveling Jay seemed to have dozed off again, in reality he kept his eyes closed trying to breathe as deeply as possible.

A short time later they arrived in front of the Lakeshore.

- Hey, we're here,- Hailey said, shaking her colleague a little.

When Jay opened his eyes he found himself standing in front of the large hospital.

- Why we are here? - the detective said a bit confused and hoarse.

- A sensation. - she replied with an apology

- What feeling? - he asked back

- Listen, let's go downstairs, I'd like to talk to a friend of mine and then let's go to the district.

Reluctantly Jay got out of the car following his colleague.

He couldn't wait to go back to the district to get another cold pill.

- Wait here,- Upton said

He did as she was told and sat in the waiting room waiting for her to return.

He wondered why he had come down. He could very well have waited in the car.

With an apology Hailey walked over to the nurse and the doctor and explained Jay's situation asking if they could take a look at him. Since he hates hospitals it seemed like a good thing to have gone where no one knew them.

Shortly after making arrangements with the nurse and Dr., Hailey she motioned to Jay who came over.

- Jay I wanted to introduce you to my friend Dr. Jenny Asworf. -

- Hello,- he greeted

- I thought being here she might check you out for your cold. - the detective said

- Hailey doesn't ... - Halstead said

The detective was about to say there was no need, but she cut him off.

- It is necessary, do it for me. - begged the colleague

And so he let himself be convinced. The three went to a room to make the visit. It was a very quick and actually a little superficial check.

His lungs were auscultated without finding anything and his throat was looked at, which was red. Given the cough, the doctor assumed it was laryngitis.

- Just do a corticosteroid treatment through aerosols and everything should be resolved. -

The two thanked them and took their leave to go away. As they came out of Hailey's attention she was drawn to a woman sitting on a bed in one of the rooms.

- Hey Jay, - she said, - don't you remember anyone?-

- No, who?- Jay said stunned

- The girl of the nightclub owner showed us in the picture. - the Detective explained

- Maybe you're right. Let's try to talk to her - he proposed and so they approached.

Unfortunately Jay had a hard time staying focused. To everything he was already feeling had been added a very strong and annoying headache that almost prevented him from keeping his eyes open. He felt so tired and there was to consider that the day was still long.
