Back in the precinct Jay went to wash his face a little. He coughed several more times and his chest hurt. Each cough felt like his chest was breaking. He even struggled to stand up.

Slower than a snail he made it to his desk and was about to grab another pill he had in his drawer when he stopped reflecting on the doctor's words:

- Allow at least two hours to pass before taking anything else. -

Unfortunately he would have to wait a little longer. He hadn't been long since he'd taken the medicine in the hospital.

The detective was very pale and had red cheeks. Most likely he had a fever. What he was sure was that he felt himself dirty, even if he didn't give up and kept trying to give his best in his work.

He was deep in his thoughts when he arrived

Vought and everyone began to expose what they had discovered.

Hailey briefly recounted the information she had received from the girl, who was trying to exonerate the owner of the place. Later it was Adam's turn to discuss the tattoo:

- This particular scar tattoo belongs to Eric Lorenz.

- Victim's boyfriend,- Hailey said.

- Filthy bastard,- Voight said. - it could have been him who took and then killed her. But why?

- Let's go get that bastard,- Jay added, shouting, but in a low voice.

- You stay here! - Voight ordered him.

- No, I'm fine! I come with you! I don't let myself down with a sore throat! -Jay said even though he was beginning to understand that maybe it was something more than just a cold.

- I have the address! - Antonio said and everyone left to capture the boy.

If not for murder, they would have arrested him for the Delphine Evans assault.

In no time the Intelligence guys were all on the scene ready to jump into action.

- Ruzek and Burgess in the back, Antonio east side entrance, Hailey and Jay in front with me.- Voight ordered. He wanted to make Halstead remain under his control.

Everyone was ready and in a short time they entered the house.

But it was at that moment that Jay, who was the only one who hadn't gone in, as he was still standing at the door, noticed someone coming down the fire escape on the side of the house.

Immediately warn the colleagues on the radio trying to scream given the absence of voice.

- I'm Jay, suspect on the run, I'm chasing him.

So saying up he set out on the trail of the criminal trying to reach him as soon as possible.

The boy was damn fast and the detective wasn't fit.
