Will left for a moment to go to the living room to get the bag he had left in the hall when he entered and quickly went back to Jay's room to visit him.

He measured his blood pressure which was found to be low and his heart rate very fast.

Listening to the breath he could easily hear gasps it seemed that the young man was having some difficulty getting the air into his lungs.

The whole visit took place in silence and the detective did not notice anything until the latter was caught by the umpteenth cough that left him exhausted.

He started to get up to run to the bathroom, but he couldn't. Will curled him onto his side causing him to throw up on the floor. He put him in a slightly elevated position and then took on all his weight.

What was clear to the doctor, however, was that his brother was really sick.

- Jay it's Will. Please wake up, open your eyes for me. - he said in a loud enough voice, but not too much and excitedly after helping him to lean back into bed.

He called him several times, and tried to shake him slightly at first and then a little harder.

It was clear the need to have him urgently taken to the hospital.

He completely pulled off the blankets and pulled him so that his legs could be dangling off the bed.

-mmmmmmh-he got a confused answer

- Jay open your eyes, look at me,- Will asked

With great effort Jay pulled up his eyelids for a few seconds and while his brother held him up he said in a faint voice:

- Help me please! -

Right then he picked up the phone and sent a quick audio message to Natalie.

"Nat, Jay is very sick I'm taking him to Med."

So he took two of the blankets that were on the bed and wrapped it up. He pulled him off the bed, placing all his weight on his shoulders.

Jay was heavy, dead weight to be exact, and Will was really struggling.

From his effort the doctor must have pulled a muscle, he felt enough pain in his back, but not even his stopped him.

He dragged him from his apartment down several flights of stairs to his car.

Fortunately he had parked quite close to the building.

Immediately after placing Jay in the passenger seat he too got into the car and drove quickly to the Med.

During the trip, Dr. Halstead tried hard to keep his brother awake, but without success. As soon as he was placed in the passenger seat, Jay collapsed again into what appeared to be a deep sleep.
