Ok, you can ask me questions, but do it one at a time," explained Lois.
"Can I go first?', asked Meg.
"Yes, sweetie go ahead.", Lois said.
"Why did you let Chris and I out of school early?", Meg asked.
"We're going to Westport to stay with your grandparents for a while. Your grandfather sent his private plane to come here at 4 pm.", the red-headed woman said.
"Why isn't dad here with us?", Chris asked.
"Your father never really liked going to visit Westport.", Lois explained
. Lois took a deep breath and said," Also, another reason why your father isn't here is that I've left him. And I decided to take you all with me.", she explained.
The kids' faces show shock and understanding.
"We knew that this was coming sooner or later. All of us predicted that you would wait until Stewie left for college to leave dad.", "We love grandpa and grandma. I wish we could have visited more often. We can't wait to see them again" said Meg. Stewie and Chris nodded in agreement.
"I should have realized that kids see and hear everything. This talk went better than I imagined.", Lois said. "How long will we be staying? "asked Chris.
"We'll be staying for a few months,'' explained Lois.
The waiter came to ask for everyone's order and everyone just sat in comfortable silence.
Everyone got into the car. The car's clock read 2:30. The location of the private plane was an hour away. To pass the time Lois turned on the radio. "Stronger" by Kelly Clarkson came on and everyone started jamming out. It felt freeing in a way, no Peter here to cause the car to crash. No having to listen to him tell his dumb stories.
An hour later, they arrived at their destination.
Lois pulled up to the private plane. Everyone got out of the car. They stared at the plane in awe.
"I'll get the bags, Ms. Pewterschmidt"
"Thank you, Grant."
"Come on kids, time to go."
The private plane had a TV's, a bar, and all the food you could eat. Enough seats that you fit 30 people.
As the kids got settled for the flight, Lois grabbed a scotch from the bar, and sat at a window seat.
She thought of all of the wonderful opportunities her family could have now that there wasn't a road block in the way. She hoped that her kids won't run away from them, that they would embrace them with open arms.
