Hello, I'm including this note after being away from for over a decade now. In fact, I completely forgot my profile here still existed and that any of my stories remained. On a whim, after reading a post somewhere about this website, I decided to check. I'm sure you can imagine my surprise to discover that, no, I did not delete all of my old stories as I once thought I had.
I was also surprised by the number of comments and reviews I've been given on this story and another, some as recent as a year or two ago! Firstly, thank you for that. Several reviews had commented about bits of story information I'd forgotten or incorrectly wrote about and I'm sorry for those inconsistencies.
However, I was 14 years old when I wrote this. It has been a very, very long time. At this point, it's been so long since I've even read this series, that I will likely never go back and edit this to fix lore mistakes; I'm afraid I wouldn't know where to begin now.
I logged back into this site honestly expecting that I would delete this old story (after saving a copy just for myself). Now, I think I'll leave it. For those of you who have enjoyed it - thank you for taking the time. I appreciate all of the kind words!
For those of you interested to read it - I hope it satisfies whatever yearning led you here. It's far from perfect, I cringed while even just trying to re-read my first chapter, but it was a landmark on my journey as a young writer and I'm rather fond of that. Please keep in mind that I was very young. Feel free to point out mistakes if you'd like. Perhaps one day I will revisit this story and do a mass-revision.
These days I write and post on AO3. Feel free to PM me if you are interested in seeing my content there. I may post something here on FF again, but I doubt I will ever write more for this wonderful book series.
At least, not until I re-read all of the books ;)
