Bailey woke up from the sun rays peaking through her curtains in her room, Her head was pounding, making her groan as she sat up in bed. She felt hot and looking at herself in the mirror she saw some of the colour had drained from her face, leaving her looking paler.

Just the way she wanted to start her birthday.

Getting out of bed she felt dizzy combined with her headache made it painful to walk. Pushing through the pain she headed into her small en-suite to have a cold shower, she knew she'd probably regret it later, knowing that freezing cold water isn't going to help the fever she has. But Bailey needed a way to cool herself down.

After her shower Bailey got dressed in a simple cropped tee and jeans, with converse sneakers.

Her hair left down and brushed, trying to give the look that she was fine. But still some of her baby hairs had stuck to her warming forehead.

All ready Bailey headed to the kitchen to start making breakfast for the family, knowing that they'd all be up soon she wanted to get a head start.

Pushing back her arduous headache Bailey started making the pancake batter.

It had been at least fifteen minutes since Bailey had started making the pancakes for breakfast when Beau causally strolled down to the kitchen.

"beat me to it" Beau said hearing noise from the kitchen.

"Morning Beau" Bailey said putting a smile on her face.

"Morning, Happy Birthday by the way" Beau greeted his smile fading into a look of concern.

"Bailey, are you feeling, okay?" Beau asked after some silence.

"Me, I'm fine" Bailey reassured in her best energetic voice, failing to convince the man in front of her.

Beau easily able to tell that she was lying got up from his seat at the table walked over and started taking over making the pancakes, much to the disliking of Bailey.

"Hey, I can cook you know" Bailey said taking a second to wipe her sweaty forehead.

"Bailey you're obviously not well, it's your birthday sit down and take a break. I can take over from here." Beau reasoned.

"Well, it may be my birthday, but I am perfectly capable of making breakfast for everyone, and I'm fine" Bailey said taking control of the fry pan and flipping a pancake over.

"Bailey-" Beau started, taking the fry pan from her hands and putting the cooked pancake on a plate.

"Just let me help you, call it a birthday present if you must." Said Beau, as he grabbed a glass and filled it with water handing it to the pale looking nanny.

Bailey took it with little word other than a thank you with a small grumble.

The two adults than found themselves in a silence halfway between uncomfortable and awkward.

Over the two weeks since their near kiss the two had been able to get over the awkward silences they had the few days after, and things seemed to be back to normal.

Beau had finished cooking another pancake when he decided to look over at Bailey, she had been silent for way to long, even if she wasn't well.

"Bailey-" Beau went to say before he saw the nanny put her hand on her sweaty forehead, a pained expression on her face.

Putting down the pan he walked up to the young woman.

Suddenly when Beau was only a few steps behind her, Bailey knees buckled her vision gone dark and her body limp and falling to the floor.

"BAILEY!" Beau yelled catching her limp body before she hit the ground.

"Bailey? Dear god" Beau said looking at the state of her. He had her in his arms half sitting up. Now close enough to see how poorly she looked.

Her skin was as pale as white sheets and her whole body was a heat lamp, burning up badly.

Beau's yell had woken up the eldest boys as Brody and Tuck came running down the stairs shocked at what they saw.

"Thank god, Tuck get a cold cloth, Brody a glass of water I'm going to take Bailey upstairs." Beau ordered little relief in his voice.

The two brothers didn't even say a word half out of their own worry for Bailey and for the obvious fear in their dads voice.

Laying Bailey back down in her bed, sheets and quilt over her, Beau painfully waited for the boys to bring the glass and cloth.

Rushing the boys came quickly, Beau taking the cloth and placing it on Baileys forehead and with the glass of water tried pouring it down her throat to try startle her awake.

An only painful twenty second wait happened before Bailey started coughing trying to sit up immediately.

"What- happened?" Bailey asked her throat a little hoarse.

"You're all good now Bailey" Tuck said, relief in his voice.

"Yeah, your fine now" Brody reassured.

Bailey gave a smile to the two young boys as a way to say thank you. Before looking over to Beau, who was holding her hand in a gentle but firm way.

The boys seeing that as their que, said a quick goodbye before leaving the room, shutting the door behind them.

"Beau, I'm okay" Bailey said sitting up more much to her headaches disliking.

"You fainted Bailey" Was all he could say. Clear that the ordeal had hit deeper more than Bailey expected.

"Just promise not to do that again" Beau said, Making Bailey laugh.

"I promise" Bailey replied.

After that, the two stayed relatively quiet in the comfortable silence.

"Get some rest" Beau said after a while, getting up he kissed her forehead and went to leave.

"Beau wait" Bailey called half sitting up.

"Can you lie with me" Bailey asked trying not to be awkward.

"Sure" Beau replied almost instantly unable to resist how cute Bailey looked, even ill.

Beau climbed in on the other side of the bed laying on his side and wrapping his arms around Bailey.

And to her surprise she found that instead of making it feel awkward it made her feel safe and protected by his muscular arms.

Not to soon after Beau felt Baileys breathing lower to a regular pace only to find she had fallen asleep.

Smiling to himself Beau watched her sleep, it was a comforting feeling looking at her relaxed and calm. Especially since he had scared her downstairs.

Soon Beau snuggled down soon falling asleep next to the nanny.

*meanwhile downstairs*

"Dam how worried is daddy?" Tuck asked half a laugh escaping his mouth.

"It's Bailey and dad, I mean I'd be surprised if he would leave her side today" Dylan exclaimed.

"So when are we doing presents?" Chloe asked impatiently.

"Chloe it is Bailey's Birthday, not yours" Dylan stated.

"I know but who doesn't like presents" Chloe remarked giving her siblings a look.

"Chloe's got a point" Cassidy added, catching her siblings attention.

"I mean even if Bailey was well and it wasn't her birthday, she deserves a gift. And not just presents and gift vouchers. We should do something special." Cassidy went on.

"We could make a song?" Tuck suggested after some thought.

To which everyone seemed happy with, agreeing with nods and few words.

All going down to the basement the five kids grabbed a notebook and pen and started on creating a song.

Waking up Bailey felt around the bed, Beau seemed to have gone.

'Of course he left, why would he stay, come on Bailey think!' Bailey thought.

Using her strength Bailey pulled herself into a sitting position. Her head was pounding even harder, she now was really regretting that cold shower.

Looking over at her alarm clock she saw that it was 12:02 meaning that she must have been asleep for a couple hours.

Bailey stomach growled loudly, she hadn't eaten at all today, add the fact that she was sick didn't make her odds look good, comfort wise.

Suddenly as if cue Beau opened the door carrying a tray filled with breakfast, Waffles with syrup and ice cream, strawberries, and a hot drink.

"I thought you'd wake up soon, so I made you breakfast, even though it's more like lunch now" Beau explained smiling at the sound of him.

"thanks, you didn't have to" Bailey remarked taking the tray from his hands.

"Nonsense, call it a Birthday present" Beau replied.

Beau sat down on the chair next to Bailey's bed as Bailey dug into her meal.

He looked the woman before her, again being captivated by her beauty. Beau knew that he had strong feelings for Bailey, and he knew that they were strong. But he didn't exactly know how strong.

He'd been questioning this for a while, ever since Bailey and his nearly kiss. Even before that he had his suspicions.

"Beau?" Bailey called out, pulling him out of his thoughts.

"Hmm, what?" Beau answered zoning back in.

"caught you starring" Bailey said smiling.

"Sorry" Beau apologized. He didn't know he'd zooned out for so long. Even looking over to the tray he brought in, he realized that over half had been eaten.

"You looked like you were in deep thought" Bailey commented.

"Yeah, something like that.

'Knock, Knock'

Was the sound that interrupted Bailey and Beaus conversation.

It had been a little while since Beau brought food up and the two of them were lying next to each other in the bed, Bailey snuggling into Beau a little bit.

"Come in" Bailey called out.

But to no answer.

Beau got up from the bed, opened to door to find a note on the ground, right outside the room.

"What is it?" Bailey asked walking over, still a little unsteady.

Come down to the basement for a surprise

- Unknown

"What do you think they've done now?" Bailey asked.

"I don't know, but you sure you're good to go down?" Beau asked.

Bailey just rolled her eyes in response.

"it's to the basement Beau, it's not like were travelling to London" Bailey expressed before grabbing her denim jacket and heading downstairs with Beau to the basement.

"Guy's there coming get ready' Cassidy half whispered sharply.

Everyone got their respected instruments, with the exception of Chloe who for this song just had her tambourine. Since her own little guitar was being restrung.

Bailey and Beau were now walking down the stairs.

"So, what's this about?" Bailey asked piping up a little.

"Well, we wanted to give not only presents for your Birthday, but a song too" Cassidy said smiling at her nanny.

All five of them started playing,

no matter what's between us you're always their when we need.

Always by our side

Looking out for all of us

Oo Oo OoOo OoOoo Oo Ooo

Every time I'm crying

You pick me up

Every time I'm hurt

Your there to make me smile

Oo Oo OoOo OoOoo Oo Ooo Oo OoOo

Bailey heart filled with joy listening to the song the kids were playing for her.

Beau had his arm wrapped around her shoulder, looking even she saw tears in his eyes, probably from how proud he was of his kids.

But none the less, even though she was sick on her birthday. She wouldn't change anything about today.

Not one bit especially for this moment now.
