During the hours of dawn, Link woke up by the campfire. The fire had already burned out during the night, and there was a certain chilliness in the air. Link glanced here and there, scratching his head.
"I think I need a shower," mused Link shortly before he glanced down at his current attire. "And a new set of clothes."
Approaching the nearby waterfall, Link sat on the edge for a moment. He took a deep breath, inhaling the fresh air of the early morning. He dipped his bare feet into the small body of water, and this caused a sudden shiver to trail down his spine.
"Cold," he muttered. "Too cold."
"Hey, Link," called out a familiar masculine voice.
"Huh?" Link cocked his head to one side, observing the lagoon in front of him.
"Pardon me if I sound weird, but I watched you fight a whole pack of moblins yesterday night. I swear there were at least five of those guys," chuckled this masculine voice. "I'm sorry to catch you at such an early hour, Link. I apologise. I would have approached you last night but I wanted to let you sleep."
"Prince Sidon," smiled Link. "Thank you."
"I wanted to ask you something, is now a good time?"
Giving Sidon a quick nod of the head, Link's smile grew wider the minute Sidon glided closer to him through the water. He watched Sidon sit beside him on the edge by the lagoon, having his feet in the cool water as well. Sidon, being a crimson Zora, appeared to be much bigger than Link. He was practically a giant compared to the small blonde Hylian.
"Link, you're amazing! Thank you for everything you've done for Zora's Domain! My sister would be proud of you," remarked Sidon.
"Thank you! I'm only doing my duty as a hero," stated Link. "My plan is to restore Hyrule to a peaceful land like it was before."
"That's what makes you so great, Link!"
Showing Link a lily flower that he picked from the village earlier, Sidon presented Link with this flower and the lily merely sat in the palm of Sidon's large hand. Sidon let out a nervous chuckle at this gesture, but he wanted to thank Hyrule's Champion somehow.
"Please accept this lily as a token of my gratitude," he stated.
Giving Link this white-petaled flower, Sidon placed this flower into the palm of Link's hand before Link could say anything in return. Sidon gave a wide smile, looking down at Link with calm eyes.
"I want to ask you to marry me, Link! My sister would appreciate that," he remarked with a cackle in his voice. "But that's only if you want to."
Link blinked.
'This flower looks pretty, and it would probably work well as an ingredient in the cooking pot,' Link thought in his head. 'But, hmm...marriage? Me marrying a Zora prince? I didn't think I'd be doing that on this quest to restore Hyrule.'
"Of course, I'll give you some time to think about it," stated Sidon. "It would be an honour to have you as my spouse. You would benefit my kingdom greatly," he added.
'I suppose the people of Hyrule would be happy if I married the Zora prince; it would take their minds off of Hyrule's current situation with Calamity Ganon,' mused Link in his head again.
Diving back into the cool water, Sidon glanced at Link now from the lake. He still wore a cheerful smile.
"I'll see you later, Link. Is it okay if I find you again?" Sidon questioned. "Or we could meet here, in Kakariko Village."
Without delay, Link gave a quick nod to the Zora, despite being deep in thought right now. Link raised his free hand and gave Sidon a wave goodbye.
"I'll see you before sundown, Link. See you later!" Sidon stated, leaving for the open river now. "The lily would work well in a dish, Link. It'll heal you and your energy," he informed.
"I thought that, too!"
