Chapter 12 - The truth of the relatives
Summer is halfway over when everyone was packing their clothes and instruments. They are getting ready to head back to Duel City not knowing that a prison escape to look for someone, It's Yumi's evil aunt Mary along with Jake, Yumi's ex-classmate. Her husband died from prison after the police found out that they are the one who killed Yumi's parent's, now she's escape and gonna find Yumi and bring her back to their old town.
"Soon Yumi, you will be mine forever." Jake Thought
Back to Yumi and her friends, the girls are riding their duel runner while the bus follow them.
"I still can't believe we became the a Turbo Duelist." Emma said
"Me either, right now let's enjoy the fun." Yumi said
Inside the bus, the boys are enjoyed the games, Atem look at Yumi all smile feel like he stole her heart.
"I'm glad I saved Yumi from being suffer, Now all I have to do is ask her to become my Queen. Good thing Osiris told me about it." Atem thought
Flashback
"Atem, Can I talk to you for a minute?" Osiris said as Atem nod and walk to his room for private
"What is it?" Atem confused
"Do you loved Yumi?" Osiris said as Atem blushed
"I do, I loved Yumi so much. Ever since I saved her from being killed by Marcus." Atem said
"Then I want you to ask her to be your wife before she turn 18 next year." Osiris said as Atem is shocked
"Are you serious, Osiris? Yumi and I know each other for 4 months now." Atem said
"I know, but I don't want her to suffer the same fate as her dad, which is my son." Osiris said as Atem nod
"Very well, I'll make Yumi to become my wife. But when?" Atem said
"Lucky her favorite holiday is Halloween, you can propose on that day and have a wedding on Valentine's day. I can help you prepare for it." Osiris said

"I'm glad the Gods let me stay in Yumi's world and gave me power to visit my father and friends." Atem thought as he look at Yumi
Everyone arrive back to Duel City, not knowing that Jake and Mary are waiting for them, but for now they are hiding from them.
"Now what? How are we gonna get Yumi?" Jake said
"No worries, we wait until tomorrow night." Mary said as the two left
Back at the group, the girls took their runner home sense the school is locked and have to wait til tomorrow, lucky they can practice their turbo duel while Yusei and Yuya are watching them.
"I still can't believe that Yumi is your niece." Yuya said
"Me either, I didn't know til Vicki told me." Yusei said

"Yusei, are you busy?" Vicki said
"Not really, Why you ask?" Yusei confused
"I want to show you something." Vicki said as she took out the photo album of him and his friends when they are old and saw a baby girl.
"Vicki is that..." Yusei shocked
"Yes, I'm your niece and Yumi is your Great-niece." Vicki said
"I didn't know that." Yusei said as Atem walk towards them and saw the photo as well, Vicki told him everything and he too is shocked as well
"I didn't know that. I'm glad Yumi got her Great-parent skills of Turbo Duel." Atem said as Yusei look at him
"Me too, I'm happy for her. Right now, Yumi and her friends needs to pratice more for turbo skills." Yusei said

Yusei smile as he and Yuya watch the girls having fun, Atem join them as well just to watch them while Yugi and the others unpacked their stuff into the warehouse. The girls finish their turbo duel and ride home while Yusei look at his niece runner and need to work on it.
"Yumi, I'm gonna check your runner." Yusei said as Yumi nod
"Sure thing, Uncle Yusei." Yumi said as she got off her runner and Yusei took it back to the warehouse, Yuya join him inside while Atem walk towards Yumi and kiss her.
"How was it?" Atem said
"It was so much fun, you should try it someday." Yumi said
"Perhaps I will." Atem said as the two walk inside not knowing that Mary and Jake are watching them and he's getting jealous about Yumi's new boyfriend
In the Shadow World, all the villians are prepared to create a Shadow Duel Tournament with the help from the drone who possesses Yugi's friend.
"I'm so eager for revenge." Yami Marik said
"Well good thing that drone will make a tournament even more powerful than before." Marcus said as Seth look at the world
"Mary and Jake will get Yumi for revenge, and have all her spirit power to myself. Good thing that they didn't know that I was the one who wanted her parents dead." Seth thought
The next day, The girls arrive at the school to leave their duel runner behind, luckily they can used their mark to summon it whenever they needed.
"Good thing Kai create a barrier, Thanks to Osiris's power." Lizzy said
"I'm still shocked that Kai is keeping a secret from everyone and the boys." Mina said
"You said it, I wonder what's the enemies are up too." Yumi said
"Who knows, If they up to no good were be ready." Emma said as the girls nod and walk home together
They arrive at Mina's home and wave goodbye, then the Twin's arrive home and wave goodbye as well. Yumi's walking home alone as she pass by the alley, Jake came behind her smuggle with chlorine to knock her out. Her mark glow as Jake carry her to the hideout.
Slifer communicated with Yusei and Atem that Yumi's being kidnapped and rush to save her, Then Osiris is shocked that not only Yumi's kidnapped, he found that Mary escape and helped Jake to get her back. Anger Osiris decided to removed Mary from exist and send Jake to jail, he left to join Atem and Yusei.
At the hideout, Jake tied Yumi up in the chair waiting for Mary to show up and she did.
"Now, how to make Yumi mine?" Jake said
"Don't worry, I'll used my dark magic on her by nightfall's." Mary said as she prepared not knowing that Yumi's partner show the three to their hideout.
Yusei, Atem and Osiris arrive at the hideout but a shadow barrier is blocked their path.
"How are we gonna break the barrier?" Atem said as Osiris used his staff to break a barrier and it's more powerful than before.
"How did you do that?" Yusei confused
"I'm still a guardian, but never teach an old man a new trick." Osiris said
"Let's go, Yumi needs us." Atem said as Yugi called him
"Atem wait." Yugi said as he show up with the others
"Yugi, what are you doing here?" Osiris said
"Slifer told us what happen to Yumi." Yusaku said as Yugi removed his millennium puzzle and gave it to Atem
"Here you need it." Yugi said
"Your puzzle, but why?" Atem confused as Yugi place his right hand to Atem's shoulder
"Because you needed more than I do, Plus I know you will save Yumi." Yugi said as Atem put on his puzzle and feel his power once again
"Thanks Yugi." Atem said as he, Yusei and Osiris enter the hideout before the barrier activated again
Inside the hideout, the boys hide behind the box and saw Mary and Jake working on some dark magic and saw Yumi who's unconscious plus she's tied up in the chair.
"So now what?" Yusei confused
"I can create a light monster so you and Atem to go and saved Yumi." Osiris said as the two nod and wait for a signal
Their in position and Osiris create a light creature named Saffira and slowly fly towards them til Mary and Jake saw her and she blind them, Atem and Yusei run towards Yumi who slowly waking up, untied her and hug her.
"Thank goodness your here." Yumi said weak a bit as Atem carry her bridal style
"NO! I won't let you take Yumi away from me!" Jake yelled at them as he's about to attack them, Osiris used his power to stop him and used a light chain on Mary.
"Your the one who break Yumi's heart Jake and never get near her again." Osiris anger at him and he look at Mary all shaken
"All I ever wanted is to make Yumi my daughter, ever since William gave me some dark magic to kill her parents." Mary confessed as everyone is shocked
"William's real name is Seth and Hector's real name is Osiris." Yusei said as Jake and Mary are stunned
"Now Mary, you will be removed from this world. As for you Jake, Yumi already has a boyfriend the one who's carry her." Osiris said as Jake look at them and sure enough Atem has Yumi's heart making so angry
"NO!" Jake can't move cause of Osiris's magic
"Atem, Yusei take Yumi home so she can rest." Osiris said as the two nod and leave, Mary look at Yumi as she turn her head away from the killer and never see her again
They walk outside and saw Yugi with his friends and sighs of relief that they're save, Yumi use her mark to teleport them home. Osiris summon Anubis to removed Mary from this world as she was burn alive leaved nothing but ashes, then he used his magic on Jake to removed all his memories of Yumi and send him to jail with the note and he too teleport home.
As night falls, Osiris told Vicki about what happened and also removed Mary from this world. Upstairs Yumi is shocked that Seth is the one who wanted her parents dead also her dad's spirit power
"I can't believe Mary and Seth wanted my parents dead from the beginning, now I'll avenge their death." Yumi Thought
Atem walk in and saw Yumi feeling down after Mary confess, then he close the door and lock it for some privacy, he sit next to her and hug her.
"Yumi, I know you want revenge against Seth. But defeat him will not bring your parents back." Atem said as Yumi nod
"I know, But I will defeat him and get my dad's power back." Yumi said as she lean her head to his shoulder

Everyone in the room is shocked, also getting nervous a bit til Yumi look at the items.
"Look at the items, their black." Yumi said as everyone looking at it
"I bet Grim create the items." Yuma said
"I agree, but since is in two week away, we better be careful." Yugi said
Everyone is getting ready to practice duel each other, Yumi is watching them not knowing that her grandpa is prepare to take her and the girls to the Spirit World to train their weapons and power along with the afterlife.
