Twelve soldiers from the Quadwal cluster died when missiles blew up their bus with them next to it, causing them to die of blood loss and shrapnel in their hearts. Thankfully, Primus has a mission for them: reactivate Fortress Maximus and find the Allspark. With threats like Megatron/Galvatron, will they succeed? Rated T for violence. RID 2001 AU.

Chapter 2: Battle Protocol.

(Author's notes: This is it. Hookbomber Prime's team debuting in the battlefield against Megatron and his Predacons.

Also, certain characters will have twin brothers and twin sisters under different names and color inversions of the original characters' paint jobs.

(One of the military bases in Metro City, third person POV...)

Hookbomber Prime waited in his new base for Optimus Prime's signal to rendezvous at New York City.

And to further help him, Hookbomber was watching the scientific symposium on the news to make sure Megatron arrives on schedule.

Of course, when the band started playing an unknown song, the name of which was never revealed whatsoever, Hookbomber couldn't resist dancing along to the music.

One of the news reporters from Japan, Dorie Dutton, states to the cameras, "This is Dorie Dutton reporting from the first international scientific symposium, a truly groundbreaking event. Scientists from all over the globe, specialists in the fields of energy and the environment, are meeting here today to share their research and work together for the betterment of all humankind. The first speaker will be Doctor Kenneth Onishi, the world's foremost archeologist and expert on energy and natural resources."

Doctor Kenneth Onishi gets up from his chair and approaches the microphone stand.

The band stops playing their song so that everyone can hear Doctor Onishi talk.

Doctor Onishi states, "Good morning. I'd like to welcome all of you. We're here from around the globe to share a unique and historical event. My friends, right now, the greatest danger to the planet Earth is the wasteful, inefficient and improper use of our energy and resources. It's imperative that we find a solution to this problem."

Just then, everyone hears rumbling sounds and a loud maniacal laugh.

Everyone looks in the direction of the noises and sees something beginning to burst out of one of the buildings.

Dorie asks, "What's going on?"

Once the smoke clears, everyone manages to get a clear view on what burst out of the building. It appears to be a metallic purple, black, white, yellow, and red right hand with dragon feet for two of the fingers, race car tires, bat wings and missile launchers attached to it. And it even has a jet nosecone for the thumb.

Dorie says to everyone watching, "Ladies and gentlemen, we're under attack by what appears to be some kind of giant, metallic hand!"

From his room, Hookbomber Prime knew what this meant: Megatron and his Predacons have just arrived.

Just then, Megatron calls out his activation code, "Megatron, terrorize."

Megatron transforms to his robot mode, causing people to shout things like, "What is that?" and "It's a robot!"

Once Megatron finishes, he lands softly on the ground.

Megatron states to the assembled people, "I am Megatron. I am the leader of the Predacons, and the future ruler of this galaxy. The Predacons are in need of energy, and there is one among you who knows the location of every energy source on Earth: you, Doctor Onishi. In the transmissions we intercepted, you were described as Earth's foremost expert."

Doctor Onishi defiantly replies, "You won't learn a thing, Predacon. Not from me."

Hookbomber turned off his large TV, seeing as how the video feed from the news was gone.

Hookbomber's commlink notified him of an incoming call from Optimus Prime.

Optimus says over the commlink, "Hookbomber, it's time. Can you meet me in New York in ten minutes?"

Hookbomber replies, "Of course, Optimus. I'm on my way."

Hookbomber takes the elevator to the surface.

Once out of the elevator, Hookbomber jumps into the air and cries out, "Hookbomber Prime, jet mode!"

Hookbomber transforms into his jet mode, which looks like a combination of the Generation 1 Silverbolt's jet mode and Jetfire's jet mode from the War For Cybertron, Fall Of Cybertron and Rise Of The Dark Spark video games.

Hookbomber activates his afterburners and blasts off slowly, trying his best to conserve his Energon reserves.

Meanwhile, at the entrance to Metro Park, Koji Onishi stands while waiting for Optimus Prime to arrive.

Koji wonders aloud, "Where is this guy?"

Just then, headlights from a Japanese Hino Brandlier fire truck shone as the vehicle mode of Optimus Prime appeared at a stop.

(Time skip to New York...)

Megatron states to Doctor Onishi, "You have no choice, Doctor. You will give me the information I want, now."

Doctor Onishi retorts with a question, "And if I refuse, what then?"

Megatron answers, "No one refuses for long. I am Megatron, the ruler of many worlds. You dare to defy me?!"

Doctor Onishi replies, "You monster. I will never betray the planet Earth."

His eyes glowing red, Megatron asks, "No? Perhaps a demonstration. Megatron, TERRORIZE!"

Megatron transformed into his bat mode, shocking everyone present.

Megatron states, "My power is greater than you can possibly imagine. Either do as you're told, or suffer the consequences. A taste of my Sonic Pain Wave should convince you."

Megatron activates his Sonic Pain Wave, knocking out every human present while giving them headaches.

Megatron continues, "This is merely a small sample of the punishment I can inflict."

Optimus Prime comes flying out of the Global Space Bridge from the water, bringing Koji with him.

Following him from behind in the colors of the Protectobots and Nemesis Prime is Optimus Prime's twin brother, Nitroblast Prime.

Optimus and Nitroblast detached from their trailers as they drove so fast to ram into Megatron.

Megatron roars in pain from the impact before asking, "Do you humans think that two puny fire engines are gonna stop me?"

Just then, Hookbomber Prime hovered next to his equals before they call out in unison, "Optimus Prime, transform!" "Nitroblast Prime, transform!" "Hookbomber Prime, transform!"

Megatron remarks, "Well, look who's here. Optimus Prime and Nitroblast Prime, as I live and breathe." Megatron looks over at Hookbomber Prime and asks, "What's this? An Autobot Seeker who is also a Prime?"

Hookbomber replies, "The name's Hookbomber Prime. Now leave, Megatron. This planet is under the protection of the Autobots!"

Megatron sneers, "As soon as the Predacons are through with it, there won't be anything left to protect, Hookbomber Prime."

Optimus Prime starts to say in a warning tone, "We're warning you, Megatron—"

But Megatron interrupts him as he sneers, "On the contrary, you three should heed my warning."

Megatron transforms from his bat mode to his robot mode as he calls out, "Megatron, TERRORIZE!"

Inside Optimus' trailer, Koji states, "They both change their forms. Autobots are just like the Predacons!"

Optimus contacts Koji and explains, "It's true. We are two different races of robots from a planet many light years from Earth."

Koji exclaims angrily, "Then you're on their side; you lied to me!"

Optimus corrects him as he says, "No. Listen, Koji. We Autobots live to help and protect others. The Predacons exist only to conquer and destroy."

Hookbomber Prime adds, "The Autobots are known for taking on the form of modern vehicles while the Predacons are known for taking on the appearances of Earth's dangerous wild animals and dangerous predators of the seas."

Koji asks skeptically, "How am I supposed to know who to trust?"

Nitroblast answers for his brother, "That's a decision you'll have to make for yourself, Koji. After all, our actions today might surprise you. Besides, actions speak louder than words in any case."

Just then, Megatron's forehead gem lights up yellow as he calls out, "CUTTEERR BEAM!"

Megatron's Cutter Beam lasers cut through a few buildings, causing large amounts of debris to fall upon the three Autobot leaders.

Optimus calls out, "Take cover!"

Optimus and Nitroblast are buried while Hookbomber disappears.

Megatron starts laughing maniacally.

Koji grumbles from his hiding spot in Optimus Prime's trailer.

Megatron continues laughing maniacally before eventually stopping.

Unbeknownst to Megatron and everyone else, Hookbomber Prime took Doctor Onishi's unconscious form and replaced it with a pre-programmed dummy designed by Hookbomber to feed Megatron false information.

With Hookbomber Prime's work completed, the Autobot Seeker sneaked his way behind Megatron as the Predacon leader said, "Poor Optimus Prime, Nitroblast Prime and Hookbomber Prime. Did the three of you really think you had a chance of defeating me?"

Hookbomber quietly rushed up to Megatron and kicked him hard enough to cause the Predacon leader to stumble over.

Optimus Prime and Nitroblast Prime dug out of their would-be graves, Hookbomber joining them.

Optimus replies, "As a matter of fact, we never doubted that for a second, Megatron." Optimus and Nitroblast aim their vehicle mode sirens at Megatron and shout in unison, "BLAZE BLASTER!" "BLAZE BLASTER!"

Their siren lasers fire at Megatron, causing him to fall back and crash through multiple buildings.

Optimus states, "Now go, Megatron. While you still can."

Nitroblast adds, "This is your final warning."

Megatron gets up and calls out in response, "TERRORIZE!"

Megatron transforms to his two-headed dragon mode.

Megatron growls as his dragon heads spit out a single fireball, one head at a time.

The fireballs land in front of the three Primes and explode, spreading flames.

Megatron states through his two dragon heads speaking in unison, "You three are hopelessly outmatched! Come forth, Predacons, and destroy Optimus Prime, Nitroblast Prime and Hookbomber Prime!"

The three Primes state in unison, "Bring it on!" "Bring it on!" "Bring it on!"

Two toads come out of the water, and transform in unison while calling out, "Slapper, terrorize!" "Doomtrack, terrorize!"

Two skunks laugh maniacally and do the same thing as they say in unison, "Gas Skunk, terrorize!" "Wildember, terrorize!"

Two flying squirrels land, and transform in unison as they say in unison, "Dark Scream, terrorize!" "Flinchrunner, terrorize!"

Optimus remarks, "What do you know? Somebody must've forgotten to lock the gate at the petting zoo."

Megatron replies, "How droll. Laugh while you can, Optimus."

Slapper states, "I knew we'd get rid of you someday, Optimus, and today is the day."

Doomtrack says after his twin brother, "You may have averted your destruction many times before, but this time, you lose."

Gas Skunk states after him, "Say goodbye, Autobot, because we're gonna blast you to bits!"

Dark Scream says lastly, "But first, we're going to fry his circuits! Along with those of the two new Primes!"

Slapper, Dark Scream and Gas Skunk say respectively whilst shooting their lasers, "Right Laser!" "Center Laser!" "Left Laser!"

The same was said with their twin brothers.

However, the three Primes dodged the lasers.

Optimus remarked again, "Pretty good, but not good enough."

Just then, Optimus notices Hookbomber managing to retrieve Doctor Onishi and blasting off in his jet mode.

Hookbomber calls out, "See ya later, Predacons!"

Whirling around to see his prey escaping, Megatron calls out, "I don't think so, Hookbomber Prime! Megatron, jet mode!"

Megatron transforms into his jet mode and blasts off to pursue Hookbomber Prime.

The six remaining Predacons access their own jet modes to catch up to their master, thus revealing their nature as Predacon Triple Changers.

As soon as the seven Predacons left, Optimus chuckles softly before he feels a tap on his right shoulder pad.

Optimus whirls around to see Hookbomber with a sheepish smile on his face plate.

Optimus asks confusedly, "How did you get back here so fast?"

Hookbomber reveals a hologram projector in his clawed hands as he explains, "I used a hologram to deceive Megatron and his goons long enough for my Saboteur and field medic to retrieve Doctor Onishi, hide him from the populace in case of being ratted out, and give him medical treatment."

Doctor Onishi came out of hiding as Sounddealer and Skycut arrive on the scene.

Koji comes barreling at full speed as he calls out, "Dad!"

Doctor Onishi calls back, "Koji!"

Kenneth and Koji hugged each other.

Doctor Onishi looks up at the three Autobot leaders and says, "Thank you for saving me. But if you weren't affiliated with Megatron, who are you guys?"

Optimus replies, "I am Optimus Prime. This is my twin brother, Nitroblast Prime, and my protégé, Hookbomber Prime. We're three members of the Autobots, a race of robots opposing the Predacons, the ones who tried to kidnap you."

Nitroblast Prime adds, "But don't worry; as long as the Autobots stand united, we will protect the Earth and its inhabitants from the Predacons."

Koji asks skeptically again, "But how will you all do that? They're so powerful."

Hookbomber answers, "Physically powerful, yes. But our spiritual power is greater than their physical power because it comes from compassion for other sentient beings in the universe rather than pride and greed. What you two witnessed today is clear evidence of our commitment to protect the Earth and all of humankind. Hopefully, with you two assisting us, we'll defeat the Predacons once and for all."

Hookbomber said into his commlink, "Bombsiren. Has Primus made contact in any way?"

Bombsiren answers, "Yes, sir. He has made one thousand and seven hundred new Aerialbots and Grounder Autobots under your command. Chief among them being Depthflow. Chainside. Wildslinger. Joltslide. Deftside. Shockhide. Avianflow. Growlcloud. Twincharger. Cindercloud. Diveheap. Highstream. Roadscope. Groundthing. Neutroboom. Freedealer. Apedealer. Cinderbeast. Rotorback. Crosswave. Hypersight. Astroway. Motorsight. Seascope. Solarglider. Cannonrake, and Tigatwitch."

Hookbomber Prime, Optimus Prime, and Nitroblast Prime went back to Metro City with Koji and Doctor Onishi.

(Author's notes: I hope you all like the way Hookbomber Prime foiled Megatron's first on-screen mission without compromising his foreknowledge.

Also, in an unspecified chapter of this story, additional Autobot fliers will be arriving, but I'm not talking about the ones from the RID 2001 Autobot list on Transformers Wiki. I'm talking about more OCs because the other Robots In Disguise 2001 Autobots need to stay on Cybertron to guard against any remaining Predacons and future Decepticons trying to take over the planet from the shadows.

Next-to-last, when Megatron discovers Hookbomber Prime's illusion, he'll falsely assume Hookbomber got Doctor Onishi's clone because Hookbomber altered Megatron's memories.

Lastly, in the next chapter, Sky-Byte will appear with sixty-five additional Predacons. I've already come up with good ones.
