Yin looked at their guide with a faint blush while also thinking of team RWBY. Yin and Yang both in their second forms wielding their weapons forming a combination attack.

All the teams poured their auras into their weapons as the two avatars leading the charge. The others are giving them their aura while the maidens giving support. Soon the final attack was made, saving the world. The sequence ends with the teams posing in front of the school as the adults were standing in the tower.
Chapter 2: Start of a Team and dark guardian appears
It was after the team ceremony and the two five man teams were following goodwitch to a different part of the dormitories. The walls of the halls looked newer like something was built recently.
"The normal dorm rooms won't fit both your teams, but do not worry. We have two bigger rooms ready for you. How you divide them up is up to you." Goodwitch said leaving the teams in front of the two doors leading to their new room.
Ruby and Jaune opened their doors to reveal a huge room with a kitchen, a door to the bathroom, and a door to another room. Yin noticed a giant closet. He walked into the door to the other room and noticed it was a bit smaller, but it would work for him with a bathroom of his own. His team followed him in as Jaune's team went into their room to divide it up.
"Ok, you girls will have the main room as your own and I will have the other room. That way we won't have any awkward moments like me waking up to see any of you changing or you walking in on me while I'm taking a shower." Yin said and they nodded.
"Are you sure you don't want to be leader?" Ruby asked him.
"Ozpin made you leader, but I will be your advisor when you need it." Yin said before going to his room to decorate it.
"Also as it's the leader's job to lead the team, the leader needs to listen to the team." He advised as the girls went to decorate their room. (same as how they did in canon, but they have room for the beds). Yin kept his bed by the desk as he set his scroll on the floor. He flared his aura as his spyder and Yang's bumblebee appeared from his scroll. He moved them so he can work on them when he needs to clear his head.
He put his own clothes into his closet and put the picture of him with Summer, Raven, and his mother on the desk by the clock. He put another picture of him with his little sister, Aki, by the first one and a last picture of him and Aki with a black cat, Kuro, he found one night. Looking at the bookcase, he put his books on aura training and knowledge of semblances.
Other than the parts and dust for his future weapons, he had a special something from summer and he knew that was meant to be shared with his team. Walking out of the room with his scroll in hand, he noticed that the girls had their room done as they were looking at the beds.
"Bunk Beds." Ruby said excitedly.
"Give me a sec, ruby." Yin said as the girls jumped from not hearing him.
"Don't do that, yin." Blake said with a cat-like frown.
"Don't do what?" Yin said, feeling a ghost of smirk forming on his face.
"Scare us." Yang said.
"You would have heard me come out of my room if you weren't stuck in your own little world here." Yin said
Yin took that moment to pull a ink brush with some black dust mixed ink and was drawing on the beds. Flaring his aura, the drawings glowed before faded and he put his brush set back in his scroll.
"Pair up and grab a bed." He said pushing the two beds into place. He helped the girls make the bunk beds and he had Blake and Yang test the top bunk beds. After ten minutes, the beds were good as his runes help make the beds stay sturdy and handle the weight of a person. (Having Yin help with the beds was easier to do than what they did in canon).
"How did you do that?" Weiss asked.
"Something my uncle taught me as a way to control my aura." Yin said.
"Also classes won't start till tomorrow so we will have time." Yin said, looking at his scroll.
"Do you need help with your room, yin?" Ruby asked.
"Nope. I didn't have much in my scroll and if Yang wanted to I could help her bee really bumble." He said and the said girl was staring at her.
"What do you mean?" Yang asked.
"I can upgrade or tune up your bike for you if you want since I am good with my hands." He said.
"How about we bond as a team for today and after classes." Blake offered.
"Good idea, Blake. How should we do it as a team?" Ruby asked.
"By getting to know each other and spar using different groups. That would help Ruby as leader and see where we need to improve." Yin said with Ruby nodding to his idea.
"You can't do much without a proper weapon though." Weiss said, looking at him.
"She is right." Ruby said with another nod.
"I won't need a real weapon yet, but you are right. I will need one soon. Soon this bokken will break." Yin said with a nod.
"We could also help him with his aura training and see if he will get his semblance." Blake said and they nodded.
"One step at a time." Yin said with a near deadpan look on his face.
"How about this, we talk things over till dinner and then we help yin out with his weapon." Weiss offered and the girls nodded as yin gave a short nod.
"Before anyone starts asking, I will tell you about my eyes when I trust all of you. I mean only one needs to pass that test." Yin said and they nodded. They know who they are and where they stood with him. They moved over to the kitchen area and they sat in the chairs while yin got them drinks so their throats will be fine after talking for a few hours.
After about 2 hours of talking and sharing stories, they grew closer to friends, but yin knew a certain cat was keeping a big secret from their three other teammates for now. For now, Yin was making them lunch with what was in the cabinets and he kicked the girls out so they wouldn't ruin his cooking or the surprise. He had Ruby set the table for him and kept Blake away with Yang and Weiss restraining her while he was making a fish dish for her. Once it had gotten to where she broke free and got into the kitchen, but yin was waiting for her with his bokken aimed at her head as aura was glowing around his body.
'One more step and your biggest secret will be known to the team and possibly to the biggest faunus hater in vale or atlas.' Yin had messaged to her and Blake felt like a dragon was watching her. (To be fair, he is a dragon, but so is Yang once she is using her light avatar powers). She nodded before getting out of the kitchen and hiding behind Yang and Weiss for protection from the 'evil' dragon keeping her from her 'precious'. What she didn't know was that Yin had added more fish to Blake's meal as in thanks for letting him work.
After a few more minutes, the girls were placing the food down on the table as a way to help Yin while he came out with the final dish.
"Sorry for keeping you out of the kitchen, but I feel better cooking alone than with help or people trying to sneak in a taste before food is ready." He said and they nodded.
"Also I hope we can be the best team we can be and help each other regardless of the secrets we have." He added as they nodded again.
"Smells delicious." Weiss said, looking at the food and Blake staring intently of her own fish dish.
"I made each one for you and how I picture your tastebuds will be like. Sorry if I'm not a certified 5-star chef for you, Weiss." He said, but she shrugged.
"It won't matter if I love your cooking or not." She said.
"Before we eat, I want to say something." He said and he felt Blake innerly groan from being denied her prey again.
"O great Oum, I praise you for the food we are about to take into our bodies. I hope we will become the team I have great hopes for. I know we will have challenges, trials, and hardships, but I know we can overcome them with passion, bravery, and heart. To the Two Brothers, I hope the avatars of your choice are on the same team and keep the other from turning to evil. I hope the guide of the avatars will be here to lead and train them to be the best they can be and help the world. Time will protect our bonds and space will keep us together." Yin prayed and both he and Yang glowed for a second during his prayer to the brothers.
"That was beautiful." Ruby said with a small tear and the girls were nodding their heads in agreement.
"Let's eat." Yin said as they took a first bite. They froze for five minutes with shocked etched on their faces.
"Eh? Girls?" Yin asked before they were eating like a starving man in a desert with a feast and waterfall of clean water.
Yin felt like a sweatdrop was forming on his head from their reactions and knew this might have happened with his mother.
'Somehow I knew this would have happened.' He thought before the plates were licked clean and the girls were full.
"You will cook the meals for us till we graduate." Ruby said with a leader-like tone and the girls were nodding their heads.
"Maybe." Yin said as they had shocked faces again.
"Why not?" Yang asked in a whiney voice almost like Weiss.
"I will cook if you girls in return help me on other things like ruby helping make my future weapon." Yin said as an offer.
They were thinking about it before they nodded their heads in agreement.
"Well then, we are in agreement, but I won't be cooking all the time because I do get tired of cooking all the time." He said and they nodded again. With lunch finished, the girls took care of the dishes for him as he cooked for them and he pulled out his designs of his new weapons.
'When kaa-chan was traveling all over the world, she brought back metals from each kingdom. I think tonight will be a good night to see if I have the knowhow of forging the blades.' Yin thought looking over the plans.
He noticed a hand waving over his eyes before seeing the girls looking at him.
"You ok, Yin?" Ruby asked and he nodded his head.
"Yeah, I've been thinking of something." He said and they took the answer.
"What have you been thinking about?" Ruby asked.
"Something in the past." He said before pulling his scroll out and pulling out the parts for the handle, the dust crystals, and the metal for the blades. The girls were surprised to see the amount of metal he had for the weapons he was planning.
"Hold on, is all that metal is for your weapons?" Yang asked.
"Not all of it, but it could be for repairs and upgrades." He said with a shrug.
"That would be smart, but I got an idea. Rubes, help him with the weapon. Snowy, Kitty, help me with an idea." Yang said before taking a large pile of metal that was for repairs and upgrades to the weapons. He had a bewildered look on his face as his eyes were following her.
"It's ok, Yin. I'm her sister and I don't understand her sometimes." Ruby said, patting his back.
Ruby and Yin were working on the designs for the swords that fired dust instead of normal bullets. Yang thankfully left the metal for the blades and Yin had one sample of each metal block. Meanwhile Yang, Weiss, and Blake were talking about ideas with the pile of metal parts she took for her idea.
"Ok Yang, what is going on in your head?" Weiss asked
"Lots of things you might not want to know, but my idea is to help Yin by making him something like my sweet ember and something else for his feet." Yang said and they were looking at her.
"What?" Yang asked.
"Isn't that a bit much?" Blake asked.
"Almost makes sense." Weiss said.
"He will need a backup weapon or something in case his new weapon breaks on him like a glass window." Yang said and the two agreed with her.
The three had designed a pair of gauntlets like Yang's which would act like glove sized bracelets to fit over Yin's gloves. They would need to size it to his hands before actually making the pair.
"Anything else, Yang? We still have enough to upgrade something else and you want to do his boots?" Blake asked her partner.
Yang nodded with a small nod. "Yeah, we need to borrow his boots to see what we can do." She said and they nodded.
"What were you thinking of doing, Yang?" Weiss asked.
"Hmmmm...jet boots." She said, deciding the idea in her head.
"Jet boots?" Blake and Weiss asked, confused.
"For quick getaways or jump boosts." Yang said and the two were nodding their heads.
After a while, the group of five were at a training ground and Weiss and Blake were looking at Yin.
"How did you form glyphs/clones?" The two asked at the same time.
"I didn't form any glyphs, but used yours as a medium for my aura control and I was watching you moving around the nevermore, Blake." Yin said
"I used them as an anchor and helped Ruby kill it with a boost." He added.
"Later tonight we will try to bond by making your weapons, Yin." Ruby said and he nodded.
"Oh, we will need to see your hands to test something. Also your boots when you are done moving around." Yang said wanting to enact her plan with Weiss and Blake.
"Ok." Yin said, nodding his head.
'I figured they were planning on making something for me.' Yin thought.
During some of the day into the evening, the girls were training with Yin in hand-to-hand or unarmed combat. Part of the time was that they were helping him train with his control using either clones of his own or seemingly a single glyph after all the training. His semblance hasn't appeared either, but he was used to it.
"Why aren't we letting a trained or a professional make your weapon?" Ruby asked Yin as the team was in the room. Yin was in his room with the parts and metals lined up into two lines of squares.
"Something I have to do Ruby. My mind is using it as a puzzle that has to be solved and feels like I can do it." Yin said calmly. The girls watched him formed the hilts first.
'Next is the real test.' Yin thought as they went to the school forge.
[Hi-ho from disney snow white]
"Stand back unless I call for your help, ok?" He said and they nodded. He got to work on making his own weapons. He had set the hilts on a table before going to clean the metal cubes and wield them together with a clamp for both sets. He wielded them to heavy duty rods before putting them into the forge.
Soon after a while, the metal was white hot and he was using a team of aura clones to hit the metal to form the blades. He was also using a dust powered hammer to help as well, but he was ignoring the heat and letting his mind work.
"Ruby, what is he doing?" Yang asked in a whisper to not distract their friend.
"Mixing methods of bladesmithing and metal work. Also feeding his aura to the metal so it will work with his and only his aura." Ruby replied in a smart whisper that left the other three shocked that she could sound smart.
Soon the metal was worked into sword shape and used a tool to make a fuller in the blade as they were drawn to the desired length. Making sure that his control is still firm, he performed an oil quench and went to the clay for another, but a different quench. He checked the blades for a hamon line in the blades.
"Good, not a single crack or warp or anything." He said to himself.
[End song]
He went over to the dust grinder before cleaning the blades, getting some color of the metals he used. Inspecting his work, he noticed that the blades had cracked and it had nothing to do with his work. He was chuckling to himself as the girls were confused.
"He knows something and he will tell us in his own time." Ruby said in another whisper.
He put the blades in an acid bath to etch them before looking over to his team.
"They need a few minutes to beauty up." He said with a smirk.
"How close?" Ruby asked wanting to help, but wanted to standby till she was called to help.
"Soon to be done, but I have to do some drill work for the main feature." Yin said.
He went to get the blades dried off before heading to the dust drill and went to drill holes in the blades before looking over to ruby.
"Your time to help, girls." He said as they nodded with a smile.
"Ruby, hilts and chambers. Weiss, dust crystals.." He called out as they came over to help him.
The three have finished with the work of forming the blades in full, but was missing something.
"Blake, got any spare ribbon?" Yin asked as the hidden cat nodded before holding out a roll of ribbon like the one around her arms. They wrapped the ribbon around both hilt handles til it looked like both were joined by the ribbon.
"Yang, are you prepared to complete the union of our hearts and souls?" Yin asked in a serious tone.
"Yeah, What do you need from me?" She asked.
"A lock of hair from each of you." He said to her and the team.
"Why?" Yang asked, holding her own hair like a child.
"You'll see." He said with a small smile.
After a few minutes, he had made an addition to the pommel using a ring and the girl's hair like giving the blades a tail of braided hair.
"Time for a test of these beauties." Yin said, leveling his blades to a wall far away from the equipment and felt the chambers spin.
He used his aura to fire a shot of dust and in a minute there was a spot of ice dust as an ice spike was forming. After a minute, the dust had broken apart as he had planned it.
Setting the swords down before pulling out his scroll and had pulled out two sheathes for his blades, but also his dust brush and ink. The girls were surprised to see a true piece of art. He went to work on the sheaths, his bokken, and the blades. He was adding art like seals so they would be preserved and for the bokken, to last as long as it could for him.
'I hope even when you break my friend, your spirit will be with our new brothers or sisters.' Yin thought as he prayed for his bokken to last and be with his new swords in spirit.
"Both one-handed weapons, one with a rifle-shotgun hilt as the other has a pistol-revolver gun hilt, uses dust crystals, and yet no weapon that has bullets." Blake said as she listed what she has seen in his new weapons. Placing his new swords on his back, he cleaned up the forge as the girls helped him and walked back to the room.
"Yin." Yang called out as he turned to see his light counterpart.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"I need to see your boots and test your hands for something." Yang said with Blake and Weiss agreeing with her.
Yin thought about it for a moment before nodding his head. "After we get back to the room. I need to lay down after that." He said as the team went back to their room.
Soon Yin was on his bed resting as the girls were using his gloves and getting measurements on his hands, legs, and feet plus taking his boots and gloves with them. They left the room again to let him rest as ruby stayed with him.
Yang, Weiss, and Blake went to a professional weapon maker that was still open for a couple more hours. With a brief exchange, the three girls gave the money needed with their ideas, the gloves and boots, and the measurements needed for Yin's future gear. They also supplied the smith with the metal that they had taken from Yin, but they wanted to surprise him. For the next couple of hours, the girls were helping the smith in their own way as it was a way helping yin. Weiss was adding in the dust to be used in the bracelets and the boots. Yang had a special kind of rockets in mind for their teammate and while it was like her own weapon of choice, but it was different as it was made for him. Blake is adding black leather to the gear like the gloves so there is a bit more flare.
While this was going on, Ruby was going over strategies in her mind. She is making a list of team combinations and she noticed that the combos with Yin had more options. (Like her original team attacks and I have my own for this.)
'Yin is the one that can let us use true limit of our team attacks.' Ruby thought with a small smile looking over to her sleeping friend.
As for the other five-man team, Jaune and Ren took the smaller room as the girls took the main room. They spent most of the day to decorate their room like their friends did, but was taking a break before doing anything else.
"We should get some group training in so we know how each other fights and plan accordingly." Laura suggested and they nodded before looking at their leader.
"Yeah, we should train a bit, but get to bed before it gets too late." Jaune said as they nodded.
They were heading for the door, but Jaune was still sitting in his chair.
"Guys wait." He said to his team before they looked at him slightly confused yet concerned.
"What is it, Jaune?" Laura asked
It took a moment, but Jaune told his team the truth about how he got in the academy. They were surprised, but more glad to see that he trusted him to tell them this before something worse happens.
"I knew something was up with how your aura felt like you were thinking about something." Laura said gently and putting a hand on his shoulder.
"Well, we can help you with training your body and with your sword and shield." Pyrrha said and Jaune nodded with a smile.
So they spent the rest of the day training Jaune to use his sword and shield more effectively, putting his body through hell of a training course, and Laura had him solving some puzzles to base his IQ. To be fair, he was fairly smart as he just needed a goal.
"Put him through hell for the day, but it will take more than a day for him to gain the skills needed for being a leader." Pyrrha said as the rest of the team agreed with her.
"Maybe Ruby and her team can help us with Jaune." Nora said with a giggle.
They talked about training more with their leader, but said leader was thinking about what Yin told him on the ride over.
'I HAVE to get better for my team.' He thought as his hands clenched, but he winced from feeling pain course through his body.
Meanwhile, Yang, Weiss, and Blake were coming back to their dorm room with two boxes that was for Yin. When they came into the room, they noticed Ruby was sleeping on her bed with notes on the table. Yin is in his bed for the night so they put the boxes on the table before changing into their own sleepwear.
'Ruby must have been trying hard to make the team work.' The other three members thought with small smiles.
Both teams had gotten up early so they could get ready for classes and be there on time. Yin was the first one up and took a shower in his own bathroom as Blake heard him with her cat-like hearing. Blake went to take the first shower for the girls as team JMNPR was taking turns. Ruby, Weiss, and Yang were waking up as Yin came out of his room with his bag over his shoulders, scroll in his pocket, and coat over his uniform to hide his eyes with the hood. With a look at the time, Yin went to cook something to eat for the team.
"Just get ready and breakfast will be done soon. We will have time to eat and get to class on time." Yin said as Laura and Ren were cooking for their own team.
"Ok, Yin." Ruby said as she just went into the bathroom after Weiss was done.
Checking the fridge, he went to make a simple breakfast of eggs, bacon or tuna for Blake's case, toast, and cereal with coffee for Blake and Yang, milk for Ruby, and tea for Yin and Weiss.
"We could go to the cafeteria for food." Blake said, eyeing her protein snack.
"Could, but I felt like making it for us and not wasting food or time." Yin said as they ate their breakfast in remote silence.
Soon the girls did the dishes as a team since Yin cooked and let them get clean in the dishwasher. Before they left the room, Weiss with both Yang and Blake gave the boxes with their gifts to yin.
"When we came back, both you and Ruby were sleeping in your own beds. We didn't feel like waking you two up. These are from us." Yang said as he nodded before sitting on Yang's bed to open the boxes.
"A pair of bracers and a pair of boots. Hmm." Yin was thinking before nodding his head.
"I knew you three had something in mind." He said putting on his gloves then the bracers and boots without accidently off either the rocket jump or the weapon form of the bracers. He tested them, getting the feel of them fitting his hands, arms, and feet before taking them off.
"I will be in the classroom, but I need to put this in my locker." Yin said as they nodded. Yin left before them as the girls left the room.
They met their friends from the other room before walking to class. Ozpin and Goodwitch noticed the two teams that were going to be early (yeah, I hate being late to class back then).
"Seems like they have bonded more than the other teams." Ozpin said, drinking from his ever-present mug of coffee.
"That would be the right idea and they were training yesterday. Though I don't like that Miss Shnee, Belladonna, and Xiao Long were rather late coming back to their room." Goodwitch said, adjusting her glasses.
"The way I see it, they were helping a friend and teammate out with certain equipment." Ozpin said, taking another sip.
'Note to self: Prank the headmaster and use the mug.' Yin thought to himself while trying to up the prank score left by his mother while she was a student here.
Soon Ozpin felt a chill and drank more of his coffee with a restrained shiver.
'Someone is trying to mess with my precious.' He thought before leaving with his fellow teacher back to the office.
Yin was chuckling evilly in his mind while his team had shivers run up their spines. 'What is this feeling of dread coming from?' They thought before looking at Yin.
Soon the class was taught by a portly man with a waxed gray mustache and gray hair covering his eyes. His weapon is a blunderbust/ax hybrid and looked to be old-fashioned (Prof. Port. See the yang approved pun there?).
(Not doing the starting speech. I might sleep if I type it). All of the teams were sitting together while the Professor was taking roll. Soon the lecture started and most of the class was put to sleep by the long tone of it. Ruby surprisingly was taking notes on the board as Yin was resting his head in his hand. Weiss was glad to see Ruby was trying to be mature while the other students that were awake found things that would help keep them awake.
"Professor, a question if you will." Yin said stopping the lecture unknowingly or knowingly depends on who you ask.
"What young hunter-in-training?" Prof. Port asked.
"If the grimm were prey to you, then how many weak points could each grimm type have? I mean the ones that you have faced just from your lecture." Yin said getting back to the focus of the actual subject of the class.
"Well now, that is a good question." He said before drawing on the board and going over the weak points of beowulf, nevermore, and boarbatusk. Ruby was still copying the board and keeping up. The class mentally cheered for the boredom of death was over. Soon class was near over, but there was time left and the professor was twirling his mustache like a cliché evil villain.
"With the lecture over and the readings assigned, I guess I could let you all free" He said while the class cheered a bit before hearing him laugh a bit like an evil villain.
"Or keep you here till your next class starts with a couple minutes to spare." The class booed at this.
"It all depends on who can clear this first challenge that a real hunter or huntress can handle on their own." He said and the class paused hearing this.
"Now who can prove that they are a REAL hunter/huntress?" He asked. The class was looking at each other before Yin stood up with hand on his desk.
"It's not about proving that there is a real hunter among us, but if we can take the role of defenders of beacon." He said with the professor agreeing with him.
"Very true, Mr Kamen. However, you volunteered yourself for the challenge." He warned.
"I don't quit and I don't run. I have goals to achieve and still protect the people that need it." Yin said inspiring the class while Ruby had stars in her eyes seeing how cool Yin was.
"Very well. Go get your gear and ready for the first trial." He said before letting yin leave to get his signature bokken. Yin grabbed his two real weapons from his
scroll beforehand as he came back to class armed to the teeth and willing to fight including his new boots and gloved bracers.
"Oh ho ho ho, it seems you look the part. Now let's see you prove your mettle." Port said cutting the cage rope and a boarbatusko was free.
"Go Yin." Yang said.
"Break its legs." Nora and blake said
"Do your best." Weiss.
"Represent Team RWBYY." Ruby said and he nodded with a smile before jumping over the charging boar.
"Clever avoiding a sneak attack." Port mused.
Yin locked his eyes with his prey before readying his bokken. The small grimm was studying him as well before trying another charge attack.
"One Sword style: Repeat Thrust." Yin said filling his bokken with his aura as it took a black and dark red color. He slammed his bokken into the skull hearing a smack and it stunned the black beast. He did it a second time and heard a small crack in his bokken.
He put it on the desk before triggering the bracers. "A change in tactics, I like it." Port reported.
"Yin, go for the belly while it's still stunned." Ruby said and he nodded before uppercutting the boar making it flip over him landing on its back with a thud.
"One Arm Style: Piston Punch." Yin said as his right gauntlet pulled back before releasing that pressure into the punch. It left a hole almost leaving the head of the boar before it turned into black dust.
"Well done, well done indeed. You can prove your skills in battle, but compared to other grimm, that was a small fry." Port said while Yin grabbed his bokken and returned his bracers to standby mode.
"As I promised, you will be let go early and get to your appropriate class. Stay vigilant." He dismissed the class.
Yin left to put the gear in his locker minus his coat cloak and went to his next class. He noticed something and went to follow it.
Soon it was time for the next class where the professor was zipping around the room in a blur. There were only a couple of students missing, but they will be joining shortly. Soon there were some noises outside the door of the classroom and there was a student in pain.
The door opened to see Yin standing with Goodwitch pushing Cardin into the room with a smiling Juane following soon after.
"Sorry for being late Professor, I had to get Professor Goodwitch to stop some bullying amongst the other students. I didn't want to be late, but also I couldn't let that continue any longer." Yin explained with Goodwitch giving a nod with a small smirk.
"It is pleasing to hear that there is still some sense of friendship in this generation of students. Very well you are excused." The professor said in a fast tone. The professor is about shoulder height to professor port, has messy green hair, opaque over his blue and brown eyes (Not two different eye colors. Just mixed), white shirt button down tucked-in with yellow tie, and dark green pants (Professor Oobleck). Goodwitch left the classroom back to her office as the professor went to call the roll. The class had some trouble with the lecture as the professor was talking very quickly and writing at the same speed.
It seems Ruby had no trouble keeping up with her notes as Jaune was paying attention. Professor Oobleck had just asked the class a question relating to the lecture. Jaune raised his hand thinking he got the answer.
"Yes, Mr. Arc?" He said with a zip around the room quickly.
"The advantage the faunus add over the general was night-vision." Jaune said and Oobleck had a small smirk at the answer.
"That is absolutely correct, Mr Arc. I'm pleased to see some of the students are taking their studies seriously." He said with a sip of his thermos. (I know the lines of the class, but I'm a bit lazy and I don't want to write the full part while keeping it short. Also I'm making Jaune better in this than canon). Yin had a smile with Jaune taking his studies seriously. The warrior princess might have something to do with Jaune getting the right answer, but that would be neither here or there.
"I bet it was easier to train animals." A certain bully said with a dirty smirk and Yin nearly shot out of his seat ready to pound the bully into the ground and past that.
Professor Oobleck frowned at this as he noticed Yin's reaction before asking the next question.
"How many of you have faced discrimination?" He asked and there was a handful of students including Velvet, Blake, and Yin surprising his team and others.
"Just because we are either human or faunus should not matter. There is a best and worst to both of them. I have seen both sides of it from both humans and faunus." Yin said with a look between Weiss, Blake, and a glare at Team CRDL. Prof. Oobleck had Yin's book that he knows by heart on his desk open at a part in the history.
"I assume you have something to share on the subject?" Was asked
"Yes, Professor." Yin said, getting out of his seat with his scroll in hand.
"There is a projection feature on my scroll just for this and it also helps those in the back to see what I'm about to reveal." He explained using the projector in the classroom so the class can see. With a quick pull, Yin opened his uniform for the class to see the scars over his chest and back. The girls gasped in shock and the boys winced.
"This was years of working through blood, sweat, and tears with the general's soldiers. Some of them were from the general herself, because I never wanted any special treatment. Soon I became the champion that her army wanted and I gained blood brothers and sisters through hard work." Yin explained before showing his hands with a scar over his palms.
"The funny thing is how can a human with no faunus heritage has traits?" He asked a rhetorical. After buttoning the last of his uniform, he revealed to the class his faunus eyes and glared right at the team full of bigots.
"People seeing my eyes means I trust them as good friends, but something like this has a different meaning. These eyes caused the general to go almost crazy, but it is in the past. I have dealt with kids trying to be friends with me just for their parents to get in 'her' good graces." Yin's aura was channeling through his body, but he didn't noticed or cared.
"The general has faunus from both non and former members of the white fang and I worked with all of them. From all of that, I have one rule: I don't care if you mess with me, but target my family including my mother's army, and my team and your body won't be found." Yin finished as aura filled his eyes while they glowed. Giving the most hate filled glare, he let loose a faint dose of killing intent on the class while most of it was directed at the team of bigots.
With the sound of the bell, Yin left the room with his bag after covering his eyes. The rest of his team gathered their things and went after him as Ruby was the fastest with her semblance.
'Willing to bet those four will try something to push me over the edge and possibly beat them within an inch of their stupid lives.' Yin thought about sitting at a table in a corner when he noticed Ruby trying to crush him with a hug.
"You didn't have to show them or us till you were ready, but I'm glad you did. We can help you lighten the load and you won't have to be alone dealing with your issues." Ruby said with watery eyes like she was a puppy.
"Sorry about that, Ruby. Team bigot nearly set me off in there and I had to show that I know." He said and she nodded before the rest of the team got to them.
"Yin, I won't take your own history and how you revealed your eyes to the class as the easy and keep to our deal as was promised." Weiss said with a small frown and he gave her a smirk.
"That is what I wanted to hear from you, Snowflake." He said chuckling, but Weiss turned her head to hide a faint blush.
Jaune and his team came over to join them at the table with their own food on their trays. Nora was telling the teams about her dream with Ren correcting her. Everyone was listening to them while yin was looking around like he was waiting for something. Soon he noticed the team of bullies were over at a different table, but was bullying another student with reddish-brown rabbit ears. She looked to be an older student by a year (Velvet Scarlatina. I will get more detail on her soon).
Time seemed to slow down to an almost death like crawl as Yin saw a ghost-like version of his little sister over the student. Standing up from the table, his hair was covering his eyes and he was walking over with a clear purpose.
'Dark Guardian.exe is online.' Yin thought darkly.
Yin broke by snapping the bird team's leader's wrist to let the bunny girl go free. He piledrived two of them into the leader before revealing an eye glaring at the last one.
To call it a fight is a joke so bad it's not even funny. Yin made sure that he put fear of Oum into them while not breaking bones. He put each one into a locker before stopping Jaune from launching those lockers.
"I put them through enough, but next time you can help." Yin told him who nodded.
'Little sister protocal is triggered and dark knight is in sleep mode.' Yin thought, getting a better look at the student he saved. She is a little shorter to him by a few inches, wearing some armor with brown clothes and stripes of other colors. She had brown eyes and brown hair.
"Thanks for stopping them, but you didn't have to go that far." The bunny girl said with a slight worried tone.
"They are lucky I didn't break their bones like glass. I hate bullies and I just acted like I saw my little sister in your place. I'm Yin Kamen." He said with a cool and calm tone to ease her worry.
"Velvet Scarlatina, A second year. Team CFVY." Velvet said, shaking his hand.
"Well I need to eat something before the next class starts. Can't really function without food in my system." He said before she let out a giggle. He went back to his table and went to eat something in silence as both teams were looking at him slightly confused at what happened.
'From what my uncle told me and read from the book, the avatars have been around longer than the cursed soul. We have the same job though.' Yin thought as he was still cooling from beating team bigot.
"Yin." His name was called, bringing him back to reality.
"Yeah?" He asked.
"What happened in the last 30 minutes?" Weiss asked for both teams
"That was me being a protective big brother." He clarified.
"You saw a ghost of your little sister." Yang said with a serious look and all she got was a nod.
"Was called the Dark Guardian for it, but titles don't mean a thing. My little sister is one of my treasures not to be tainted." He said and she nodded.
Soon everyone was done eating and was about to head to combat class. Yin stopped before pulling his scroll and pulled out a small bag of cookies.
"I won't say it now, but I will explain it when we get to our dorm after class. I kept these fresh as they were given by a really sweet 'supermom'." He hinted as both Ruby and Yang's eyes widened from the hint. He gave each one a cookie and one for himself before putting the bag back in his scroll.
"Ok, but tell us soon. It had been years since we had one of hers." Yang said as both he and ruby nodded at the same time.
The scene changes to the academy auditorium where a spotlight is on the stage where Jaune with his sword drawn while his shield is on his right arm plus his scroll on the underside to help him keep track of aura use. His opponent is Pyrrha so they are using it as a training session while it still is a part of class. Yin was watching them with a certain look as if he was waiting to see something from the warrior princess. Jaune jumped back from a sword swing and checked his aura.
"Jaune, you are improving." His partner said and he had a soft smile.
He rushed at her, but raised his shield blocking the sword. He took a chance and took a swing at her with his own sword. Before it landed, the buzzer signaled the end of the spar and the lights came back on.
'So she didn't use it on him to correct or mess with him. He is improving, but the level needs to go into overdrive.' Yin thought with a smile to the (future) couple.
"In tournament style duels, Mr. Arc would be on the losing side. He has some insight to use his scroll for keeping track of aura usage. I'm impressed to see you are improving in the passing weeks." Prof. Goodwitch praised Jaune with a small smirk.
"Though, who would like to go next?" She asked the class.
"I feel I need to get in a spar." Yin said getting up to stand on the stage.
"Time for some payback for before." Cardin said, also getting up to the stage.
"Better bring your whole team. Just you won't be a challenge." Yin said, wearing his gear while his new swords are on his back forming an X. His bokken is his hand tapping his shoulder. Cardin growled at the jab before falling for the bait.
"Professor, this is just one of the many ways of a hunter on a mission that gets into a fight." Yin said while getting surrounded by the bullies.
"Since it is us against you, we can give you a handicap." Cardin said with a smirk. Yin smiled somewhat darkly as his aura was enveloping around his body. The gauge on his aura ended up with a ?.
"It's not broken, but I have been holding back my aura so I'm letting it go." Yin said.
"I think we are about to see something new from our friend." Ruby said to her team and Jaune's team in a low tone.
"It won't matter because we are going to wipe the floor with your head." Cardin said and his mates nodded their heads.
"Enough. You may begin." Goodwitch said as the lights dimmed.
All four of the bullies charged at Yin, but he seemed to vanish in a blur. Yin reappeared behind the guy with the name Sky. With a twitch of a wrist, Yin's bracers covered his gloved hands with a barrel on the side. The bracers were silver in color with the barrels gunmetal black.
"Arm Style: Twin Piston Punch." Yin said nailing the bully in the stomach, but it still sent him into the wall.
"Why you?!!" Cardin tried to nail him with his mace, but the bokken took the hit resulting in it cracking a bit more.
"Thank you my friend." Yin said to his bokken before clicking his boots making him jump back. He put his wooden friend at his waist and use his aura to make an aura version of his bokken.
"Hey Professor, is that legal?" Cardin asked.
He got no answer in response before each of the standing members got hit by the aura and they felt their aura took a dive a bit. The one named Rustel got sent flying by a double kick to the chest and landed by sky who just got up.
Yin's bokken flew to his hand to block another swing from the mace. There was more cracking. He put it back at his waist before finally pulling out his two swords that he personally made with the girl's help.
Both of the blades showed cracks in the design, but he tested them and they were sharp so they didn't break. It would be a trap to make someone think to break them, but have it backfire. Both swords have a gun like hilt, but not the same. The chambers have dust for him to use with his aura for elemental attacks, but both have a simple T guard. The cracks in the blades had a gradient of white to blue and black to a dark red.
The guy named Dove with a pair of knives tried to get around, but it wasn't working and made his knives crack against his swords without any damage to his own swords.
"Gun Style: Stun Blast Whip." Yin said as the chamber of his gunblades spinned to a yellow and white chambers. He pulled the trigger and the dove was sent flying while stunned by his other downed teammates.
"Two Sword Style: Void Barrier Trap." Yin said, throwing his blades into the floor making a barrier around him and Cardin.
"Having a weapon like yours doesn't mean shot if you don't know how to use it. This isn't a game or an ego power trip for a punk ass like you. People are remembered for their actions and only your family will be sad for you. Keep treating people like you have and you will be dead with a knife in the heart. I will help your team by beating some sense into you." Yin said tearing into Cardin with facts before rushing at him with his arms raised blocking the hit from the mace. Yin kneed Cardin in the stomach before kicking him to the edge of the barrier.
"Barrier Release." Yin said, making the barrier fade as he pulled his bokken out.
"May the great Oum forgive me for what I'm about to do, my friend." Yin said in a prayer-like tone to his weapon.
"I have dealt with people like you in the army and you aren't anything special to me. I have a technique just for people like you." Yin said before running around cardin as he was alone.
"Secret Style: Hidden Buster Sword." Yin said getting behind Cardin and ready his bokken as it was flowing with his aura. He shoved the bokken hard up the ass it made Cardin scream before flying to a wall and falling on his team. The force was enough to finally break the bokken in half.
"Another jackass has been cleared of a stick up his ass." Yin said as the buzzer sounded.
"Despite how the spar ended, what did team CRDL do wrong?" Goodwitch asked the class.
"Letting him have a handicap?" Ruby asked
"Not using teamwork on a single opponent?" Blake asked
"Taking advantage of when he didn't have a weapon in his hand?" Nora asked
"Those are good ideas, but not the right one I'm looking for." Goodwitch said.
"Letting Yin getting into their heads and controlling the spar with litteral ease. He was leading them like a horse to water." Jaune said surprising everyone.
"Correct, Mr. Arc." She said with a kind smile to him.
"I mean what I said. People like them will get themselves and others if they are on missio dead. The general had me work with them and they know now not to mess with me or she would step in and deal with them herself." Yin said
"She is the one person not to get on the bad side of." He added while Goodwitch agreed.
Soon the class was let out as the team of bigots was sent to the nurse's office to get healed.
The scene changed to the Forever Fall Forest as Goodwitch was leading the teams RWBYY, JMNPR, and CRDL through it as a favor from another professor.
"While the forest here is beautiful, it houses grimm and we don't want any of you to die out here. You are here as an assignment from Professor Peach for each of you to get a jar full of red sap. You all have till 4:00 in the afternoon to get it done."Goodwitch explained as the teams nodded, but CRDL was looking at the other two teams with anger and a need for payback. The teams split off to do the assignment.
The teams were getting the sap into the jars in a timely manner.
"Nora, if you don't eat the sap, I will make pancakes just for you and let you eat all of the syrup." Ren said, surprising his partner and she nodded before leaving the jar alone.
"Okie dokie." She said closing the jar.
Jaune and Pyrrha were getting their own jars filled, but she helped him get to the sap. Team RWBYY was doing the same, but Yin was keeping his eyes peeled for any trouble like a team of idiots doing something stupid.
'Seems like those idiots will be faced with a life and death problem.' Yin thought, putting his jar into his scroll.
"I'm going to see about those idiots and stop them from doing something stupid." Yin said as they nodded.
He left to spy on the team of idiots. Speaking of said team, they were looking over the other two teams from a crest of a cliff. They were getting their own sap, but had an extra jar for their plans. Cardin went to get the jar ready so they can throw it at their target. Dove had a box of rapier wasps that they got after the sap spilled their target. Soon everything was ready for them to start the plan.
"Now where is a good target for Operation Stinger." Sky said with binoculars
"Hey where that punk go?" Russel asked looking for Yin, but not seeing him.
"Who's a punk?" Was asked behind the team and they never noticed Yin was behind.
"The brat that made fools of us." Cardin said.
Yin took the extra jar before walking over to the box of wasps.
"Hey dumbasses." Yin called out as the four turned to see him with the jar and box.
"How do you get here?" Dove asked nervously.
"Followed you." Yin said before the jar at them all four get some sap on them.
There was a growl of a heavy predator and made three of the four ran like a bat out of hell. Yin freed the wasps which followed the other idiots covered in sap. Soon a large bear-like grimm followed the scent of sap on Cardin and Yin got in front of the last idiot with his aura flowing around him.
'Master?' The grimm thought sensing something familiar with the human protecting the other human covered in the sap.
'I can't let you eat the poor idiot.' Yin said to the ursa while the symbol on his hand was hidden under his glove.
(AN: Yin is unknowingly tapping into the avatar power and talking with the grimm, but further down the line he will be able to actually talk with them as he is the true master.)
The grimm was still growling at the two before looking at the fool that would be his snack. The idiot scampered away, which made the grimm about to go after them. With a frown, Yin was already in motion to kill the grimm with his fists.
"Two Arm Style: Full Rocket Explosion Fist." Yin said, landing dual punches with dust boosts. It pushed the grimm back while giving half damage.
"Two Arm Style: Twin combustion Fist." He added before rushing at the grimm. His arms cocked back like hammers of guns ready, but it tried to take a swipe at him. It missed as he jumped to the side while he was ready. His left arm exploded the head off as the right did more damage to the body, but it was fading into dust.
The symbol faded as the grimm did while he was breathing slightly heavy. With his aura faded, Yin went back to his team and put his jar with the others. He silently sent a message to Goodwitch explaining what team CRDL was doing and saving them from a single grimm, but also supplied info of a camera aimed at where that team went.
'That should keep them honest, but I could let the next one kill them.' Yin thought wondering if that team will ever learn or doom to fail.
'Soon the Grimm will remember who the true master is.' A voice deep in Yin's mind echoed.
Finally chapter 2 is done and I checked for errors. If there is any, message me and I will get to it when I can. Things have been changed from canon and I like my changes. Sorry for it being late though, Life has been getting to me and been a roller-coaster.
The real question is what the next chapter will bring.
On a side note, I won't do lemon/lime scenes till there is actual relationship forming. Pairings have been decided as far as canon goes, but will be changed next.
