Later that evening Carly was cleaning up in the kitchen when Rosanna walked in;" Sage is up in her room and the boys went out for a while."

"Okay." said her sister without looking up;" I will just clean this up and then I'll join you in the livingroom."

"Why was Jack here when we got back?" asked Rosanna curious;" Something seemed different between you two earlier, Carly. Did you sleep together?"

"Rosanna!" replied she a bit shocked;" What kind of a question is that?"

"A perfectly normal one." laughed her sister;" This morning you were feeling a bit down and sad. You were doubting your relationship with Jack and everything. When we got back from Al's I saw a lot of things written all over your face, but doubt wasn't one of them."

"Yes, Jack and I slept together." sighed Carly;" He came back after you guys left for the movie and after we kind of had a fight one thing lead to another. We ended up in bed, Rosanna. We didn't plan it but I'm not sorry that it happened and neither is Jack."

"Does that mean that you guys are really together now, although he isn't divorced yet?" said she;" Where does this leave you guys?"

"Together." answered her sister with a faint smile;" I don't know what will happen next. I hate the fact that Janet won't give Jack a divorce. It's driving me crazy, but I do believe that Jack is determined to fix that and come back to me again, as a free man."

"And what about valentine's day?" asked Rosanna;" Does this mean that we're not going away on a trip together? That you're doing something with Jack?"

"No, I promised you I'd do something with you and I will." replied she;" Things might be a bit better between me and Jack, but doing something on valentine's day is out of the question because he isn't divorced yet."

"Okay." smiled her sister;" We will have a great time together then."

At the farm Jack was sitting out on the porch when Holden came home with Molly;" Hi, jack."

"Hi, guys." replied he looking up;" How was diner?"

"Great." answered his cousin;" So, have you talked to Janet again? About her signing the divorcepapers?"

"No, Holden. I haven't yet and she refuses to return any of my phonecalls." said Jack;" I wish I could make valentine's day extra special for Carly by being able to tell her that Janet signed those damn papers."

"What does Tom say about it?" asked he;" Can he do something about it?"

"Yes, he says that Janet can't stop this divorce, but she can do her best to delay it for as long as possible." replied his cousin frustrated;" I just want this whole mess to be over and I want to be able to go to Carly as a free man!"

"Carly wants that too, Jack." answered Molly;" If only you hadn't married Janet."

"Don't you think I know that? There doesn't go a day by without me thinking the same thing damn it!" scolded he angry, got up and walked away;" I can't change the past, Molly! No matter how much I wished that I could!"

"Jack…." said his ex's cousin as she quickly walked on after him;" I'm sorry. That came out wrong."

"Don't you think that I don't regret that decision every single day?" asked Jack;" I was stupid to ever let Carly go and I'm doing my best to make it right, Molly. I really am."

"I know you are." replied she and gave him a hug;" And so does Carly."
