Chapter 58
Janet was working at Al's but she still didn't feel well when Dusty walked in;" Hey."
"Are you stalking me or something?" asked janet annoyed;" If you keep showing up downhere people are going to start asking questions, Dusty. I need more problems!"
"I'm meeting your sister here for lunch." answered he surprised about Janet's reaction;" I'm not stalking you or anything."
"Okay." responded his friend with a guilty look;" I'm sorry for my outburst."
"Is everything okay?" said Dusty worried;" Terri said that you were in a really mood eversince you came home from home lastnight, Janet. Did something happen?"
"No, Dusty. Nothing happen and can't I just have a bad day or something?" sighed she lying;" It's been one thing after another and with Liberty still being so sick it's just getting to me."
"Nobody blames you for feeling like that, but it will be okay again. Liberty will get better again I have no doubt about that." replied he;" You do know that I'm there for you if you need me, day or night."
"I know." answered Janet with a faint smile;" Thanks."
While Dusty was talking to Janet Parker was visiting Liberty at the hospital;" How long do you have to stay here?"
"A little while longer." said his ex-girlfriend;" How are things between your parents now?"
"Fine." answered Parker reluctant;" How is your mom doing, Liberty? Is she still mad at my parents?"
"A bit." began she hesitating;" I told my mom this morning that she should sign the divorcepapers because she knows that your dad doesn't want to be with her anymore."
"What did she say?" asked her ex-boyfriend;" Is she going to sign?"
"I don't know, Parker. She's still pretty angry about Jack wanting a divorce in the first place." said Liberty;" I tried my best in convicing mom to sign those divorcepapers and just move on, but I don't know if she will."
"Grown-ups can sometimes make such a mess of things." answered he;" And then they lecture us if we make a mistake while they totally mess up their own lives."
"My mom doesn't want this divorce. That was never her choice and she thought that she'd be with your dad forever." replied his ex annoyed;" Your dad is the one who suddenly doesn't want to be married to my mom anymore. He is the one who wants to divorce my mom so that he can go back to your mom."
"Not everything is my dad's fault." said Parker irritated;" The only one who cared enough to get my dad back after my uncle Brad died was my mom. Your mother hardly seemed to care, Liberty. My mom brought him home."
"Why are we even talking about this?" sighed she tired;" I don't want us to start fighting too. This is their problem and not ours."
"You're right." answered her ex-boyfriend;" We should let them deal with their own problems."
"That sounds like a good idea." smiled Liberty;" I don't want to get caught up in my mom's problems and end up in a fight with you."
To be continued….
