Synopsis: After the devastating battle of Hong Kong, Monarch seized the assets of Apex Cybernetics. Without the corruption of Ghidorah's influence, new mechanical giants were created to defend humanity from future colossal attacks and rebuild in the destructive aftermath. Jaegers. After incursions of new inter-dimensional monsters, kaijus, the Jaegers proved themselves to be Earth's newest saviors. Humanity no longer needed to helplessly rely on the mercy of titans. Until the arrival of a new threat. Alien invaders hailing from the same planet as monster zero. Gigan and Megalon. With the death of their three-headed king, they had deemed Earth a grave danger to their kind and distant home. The nefarious duo would stop at nothing to eradicate this planet. Perhaps humanity would need the original titans once more.

Flesh clashed against metal. Thunder rumbled across a bruised sky. Brave battle cries met horrid howls. The valley, aruin, rumbled under the heap of this onslaught. The devastating tide washed over them all. Earth's greatest defenders.

It hit the humans the hardest, tumbling their Jaeger far from the Kings. The Ape used his natural agility to best maneuver through the wrestling bodies. He slid under heavy swipes, rolled with brutal tackles, and punched his own openings with the drills. Godzilla on the other hand firmly stood his ground. Unmoving. He was a mountain, and the mountain had claws. He ripped through the smaller kaijus that climbed all over him.

"We gotta get them off!" Raleigh screamed as the blaring alarm tinted their interior in a foreboding carmine.

Mako winced as sparks whizzed passed her head. Kaiju were clawing away layer after layer of America's most expensive armor plates. They would not leave the valley until the targets before them were no more. Savagely they tore through more hunks of precious scrap. She could not raise her arm, the one wielding their gravity gun. They had twisted it beyond repair. That was when she came up with a crazy idea, but crazy was precisely what she and her husband did best.

"They ruptured the anti-matter channels!" He was beginning to panic. "Gravity gun's malfunctioning!"

"Overload it!" She commanded.

"What?" Becket knew in doing so would lead to extreme repercussions. They could lose the entire arm with such unstable matter. But that would be the case regardless if they did not attempt something fast.

"Just trust me!"

That he did, allowing the power levels to skyrocket. The rest was up to her.

Mori kicked a lumbering kaiju off, and twisted her side with all she could. The damaged gun arose, smaller critters dangled about, some still chomping away. She then shut the channels with immense strain. All the pent up gravitational force reverberated through their Jaeger. Through their very bones. It all had to go somewhere. She slammed her fist down, unleashing a powerful gust, blasting all the unstable gravity outward. Every mounted kaiju flew off at great speed, many torn apart by the sheer, sudden acceleration.

"Mako…" Her husband smiled as he readjusted the levels. "You never cease to amaze me."

His compliments never ceased to invigorate her spirit. "Let's finish this fight."

What were once ancestral enemies, were now fierce allies. Kong leapt off of several different kaiju, as if they were mere stepping stones, in order to sucker punch a winged lizard-bat that was scratching away at Godzilla's snout. He rolled onto a steady gorilla stance, but a pair of bull-like creatures trampled him over, digging their curved horns into his armor. The great king returned the favor by whacking them fields away with his mighty tail. They kept it going, ploughing through waves of various unworldly spawns. They fought back to back, supporting each other. They were a ferocious pair.

The insectoid's shell proved most resilient, saving Kong from impalement on countless occasions in this rush of madness. A needless defense measure for the largest titan here, for his hide was thicker than stone. They held their position to an impressive degree, revolving around in place to land more impactful attacks. But this was only the beginning. For every enemy they obliterated, three more clawed out of the rift, and they were getting bigger.

Their combined brawn soon fell under a wall of raging Leatherbacks. One of these hulking beasts was enough to tear through several of the best Jaegers. Now an evolved many of them were the ones to finally topple the King of the Monsters. They hammered away at the downed titan with their hefty fists. Kong hopped in, trying to help his fallen comrade, but the brutes were bigger and stronger than him. They kicked him down and began to slam and yank apart his armor. He was helpless to the very vine straps ripping off violently.

An atomic beam then shot out, taking heads clean off, but was quickly clamped shut by another Leatherback. They held Godzilla down from jaws to tail as more of the giant lizard-bats hovered above. Their talons were sharp and ready to slice into the titan. Downed and overwhelmed, the Kings struggled to no avail. Until pellets of neon energy sprayed over them.

"Plasma Rifle remains fully operational." Mori informed, running a quick diagnostic while her copilot kept shooting.

Gypsy Danger's upgraded version of the plasma cannon laid on the semi-automatic bursts of firepower. The controlled bursts prevented overheating. The elongated barrel provided extra range. The robust design required their second hand to hold the kickback steady. They had shot their way back to the titans. The hot plasma bullets, the size of fighter jets, cleared off the group of Leatherbacks and the rest of the surrounding kaiju.

Becket hoped this deed would win them good standing with the fearsome king. He elbowed off a straggler that tried to reach for their rifle and continued to advance. The signature blue geyser joined the array, lighting up the skies, sparking a glimpse of victory. But Kong stood with pieces of his armor barely hanging on, and only one gauntlet left. He saw the next wave in the distance.

Colossal beasts with glowing antlers that could pierce the clouds. Their arms formed like shields. Their gigantic steps stomped calmly as they deflected the combined firepower of Godzilla and Danger. They were the escort for something far more sinister. Behind them boulders of iridescent flames arched over the violet sky, bombarding the trio.

The native of Skull Island rolled forth while the others fell back. He panted, building momentum as he charged the bipedal guards. One whined back his shield, aiming to bat the ape away. But Kong slid right beneath the sweep, quickly wrapping himself around the stumped ankle to drive Megalon's drill into the back of the leg. The colossus dropped to one knee with a pained growl that echoed across the battlefield. But the fearless ape was not yet finished. He made his climb to the very top, aiming his gauntlet into the joints along the way. Once at the peak, he held onto a hook of the antlers to deliver the final blow, straight into the nape of the neck.

"Kong's got the right idea!" Raleigh observed as their Jaeger slowly stood once again. "We gotta get in close."

"But they completely wiped out our shields." Mako warned him.

"Then attack is our only defense left." Gypsy reformed their saber and they sprinted towards the horde. "All or nothing, babe!"

Godzilla gave a sharp roar as he charged with them.

The closest beast to Kong reached for him, but his smaller size made him much faster in comparison. He hopped off the falling corpse, and swung directly from the oncoming arm to land onto the enemy's face. He stabbed his gauntlet into the row of shocked eyes with fury, basking in the bioluminescent blood.

As the remaining beasts surrounded Kong, his allies arrived in the nick of time. They pushed their way in, fighting them all away. They had to be precise with these giants. Godzilla brought one to its knee with an atomic blast to the leg. With its shield down and exposed head low, Gypsy jumped in, chopping it clean off. Kong proceeded to bounce from one target to another, using them like skyscrapers. The three united, made quick work of them.

Again, the defenders of Earth proved themselves formidable, warranting the fear they had rippled across the stars. But they were only a lone three. Three against many. Many a legion that only grew.

The iridescent bombardment rained down once more. This time, the fallen colossī were used as cover. But the assault from above was a mere diversion, for scaled tentacles whipped out from the very soil beneath them. Fully enwrapped and immobilized, the trio faced giant lizard-worms that emerged from the stone and dirt. Their mouths were nothing but blades. They closed in, appearing to relish in the sight of their captured prey. A foolish mistake.

Godzilla's untouched jaws opened to decimate the creature before him. The neon blue stream zoomed over to the serpents twined around Kong, freeing him. The humans released themselves, activating an electrocuting coat around Gyspy Danger for just this exact situation.

"Jesus, they just keep comi-" Before Raleigh could even catch his breath, they were all tackled by the following wave. An entire slew of kaiju.

Whatever forces were at play on the other side of the Giga Rift, they were sending in everything they possibly had against them. Gigan's suicide mission was coming to fruition. The Earth would die just as its trio was. They roared, they fought, but still they fell. The horde was simply too great. Every category of kaiju the Jaeger pilots had ever encountered and beyond was piling onto them. They were hopelessly outnumbered, outmatched.

"Raleigh, darling…" Mako moaned out, facing him with tears.

"We tried, babe…" They swelled in his eyes as well.

Their systems were crashing. Their missile launchers were empty. Electric power was too low for another jolt. The anti-matter was still recharging. Their arms were too forcefully restricted to use the saber or even reform the plasma rifle. They were out of tricks. Sparks erupted all around them.

"We should send Rokuro that video." He said with a broken heart.

They had recorded a video message for their seven year young boy back at the base. A final loving goodbye that they had hoped he would never have to see. Mako nodded in saddened agreement.

"You will do no such thing!" A voice broke through their failing speakers. A young female voice. A familiar one to the married couple. One related to Monarch leadership.

"Maddie?" A glimmer of hope returned in Mako's puzzled tone.

A radiant beam of neon yellow encompassed the sky. The trio's cries of struggle ceased as sonic booms combusted across the battlefield. Whatever had come to their aid, it was incredibly fast and powerful. Once the heavy piles of kaiju were cleared, their savior was beautifully visible in the dark clouds above. A glistening beacon of metallic gold, crimson, sapphire, and titanium.

"What the hell did you do?" The husband asked in a very stern, fatherly tone.

"Sorry, Mister Becket, sir. It was all the girls' idea." A male voice broke out. One with an unmistakable New Zealand accent.

"Don't apologize." Madison Russell shushed her friend. "Uh, you're welcome!"

"Josh? Was that you?" Mako questioned as the floating figure descended before them.

"Wait, girls'? As in plural? Who else is in there?" Raleigh demanded.

Landing softly before the trio was a new Jaeger of sorts. One constructed from the salvaged wreckage of the spacepod that brought Gigan and Megalon here. While said nefarious duo was being chased to the ends of the globe, Monarch's most top secret base was tirelessly at work on this advanced prototype. An alien/jaeger hybrid. Jet Jaguar. It was smaller than Gypsy, just a story or two below Kong's height. Its design was the opposite of Danger's as well, not at all bulky. It was sleek and sharp from boots to pointed dome. The face held two geometric eyes, fully tinted above a wide, grilled mouth used to dispense particle exhaust after an optic blast of energy in order to keep cool. An almost friendly appearance that now lifted its slender, silver hands to greet them.

Hello, friends. It signed, then faced Kong directly. Brother.

The ape dashed into the mechanical being, hooting with curiosity. He gawked at its resemblance to a man; to the physique of an athlete in form fitted armor. He removed his gauntlet for a moment to lay hands all over the smooth, clean-edged metal, inspecting it, leaning his eye into theirs to try to see a glimpse of his little one.

Within the cockpit Jia laughed as she confirmed. Yes. It's me.

There she stood beside Madison, both in skintight piloting suits. Their thin seams aglow with the rest of their surrounding hologram systems. No gears or pads or knots of cables were required like the first generation suits. They were psionically linked together and with Josh Valentine seated on the weapon's counter elevated behind them. Their 'guy in the chair' as they called him. With a crown of tiny wireless cerebral disks the young trio drifted as one to pilot Jet Jaguar in harmony. It felt as though they were born for this.

Valentine's suit was identical in design to his friends standing front and center. He was fully strapped to his command chair, managing their weapon systems and power levels. The girls had a short rig stemming from their polymer composite belt in place to keep them from toppling and sliding all over the deck while they flew about at great speeds.

Jia stood the proudest. She was no longer that little girl who helplessly witnessed her 'brother' nearly perish in Hong Kong. She was nineteen now, and just as strong willed and brave, and now… she was a one of a kind Jaeger pilot. They all were.

Kong shoved himself off of the colorful mecha, signing back aggressively. Leave! Not safe here.

This is my home too. She replied. Unwavering. We will stay. We will fight. We will win.

He paused, staring at the metal man, picturing her behind its metal grin. Though irritated, he could not help but feel immensely proud of her courage.

The grown adults on the other hand were still outraged.

"I don't give a damn what profound moment that just was." Becket scolded. "You three stole a highly advanced-"

"Highly classified." His wife added.

"Yes! Clearly classified, because, hell, we didn't know about it. Advanced and classified Jaeger prototype from Monarch's last remaining secret base and just expected to-"

"Jet Jaguar." Josh interrupted shyly.

"What?"

"Jaeger project: Jet Jaguar for his remarkable speed and crazy, alien intuitive reflexes." He elaborated.

"But we call him JJ for short." Madison finished.

"I don't care what you call him-ugh! I can't believe you kids!" Becket's frustration devoured his words.

"What Raleigh is trying to say is we understand you wanting to help, but this… you should not have snuck out on a Jaeger. You're not properly trained. It was rash and-"

"I'm sorry, missus Mako Mori, but we didn't sneak out." Valentine politely corrected her. "Guillermin let us."

"Yeah, we didn't steal it." Russell tagged on.

"We were the only one's drift compatible." He explained softly.

We volunteered. Jia confirmed.

"Believe me, my dad wasn't happy about it either, but there was no other option. Everyone else is gone." She said with grief. Every qualified pilot fell valiantly against Gigan and Megalon. The U.N.'s military forces were decimated under their conquest. With thousands lost, she and her friends did not hesitate to take a stand. "It's the end of the world. You need us. You need JJ."

Thunder rumbled overhead, a fraught of more evils to come.

"Plus, we brought Ang!" The boy said with cheer.

"Oh for god's sake." Raleigh rolled his eyes at the sight of their over-sized dinosaur dog rolling into the huddle.

Officially categorized as Titanus Anguirus. First discovered in a hidden temple within the jungles of Costa Rica. This reptilian behemoth was reawakened after a devastating battle between Monarch's best Jaegers and the alien invaders across the nearest shore. One of many tragically lost. The armored descendant of the Ankylosauridae bore the defining shell and tail club, only with various spikes all over. Despite its intimidating appearance, Anguirus was quite a docile herbivore. He did not meet the research outpost with hostility, and quickly took a liking to the young trio. So much so that he had followed them to the center of the earth on this most pivotal day. Humanity's best companion.

Caught off guard, Kong nudged the friendly creature off after it hopped onto its hind legs to greet him. On its natural fours, Anguirus's spiked shell reached the ape's upper rib cage. From osteodermed skull to maced tail, its length was in tandem with Godzilla's. Jia petted their newest friend made along this daunting journey. Be nice. She signed to her brother. As far as they knew, he was the last of their titan allies. Rodan, Scylla, even the great Methuselah had all fallen under the savagery of Gigan and Megalon. The few assembled today were Earth's final line of defense.

A tremendous, stentorian roar from the King of the Monsters now summoned their attention. He cared naught for the commotion transpiring behind him. His furious eyes never left the pulsating inter-dimensional portal. The Giga Rift that produced flares of colorful lightning for it was of such immense, raw power. The doorway that was about to introduce them to the next wave.

"Whatever you did earlier, can you do it again?" Raleigh asked of the audible sonic blasts that saved them. A mysterious attack that obliterated the overwhelming horde upon Jet Jaguar's arrival.

"I don't know. We're still sort of figuring this thing out." Young Valentine admitted as he did his best to manage this blend of human invention and alien technology.

"Great." The adult groaned at their predicament.

As they all faced ahead, a collection of vile hisses and growls echoed from the portal. Their timeout was at an end. Ready or not, the legions were inbound.

Even with wrecked armor, spark surges, and critical system failures, Gypsy formed its saber and took its stance amongst the battle ready titans. "Just stick close until we figure out how to close the rift."

Jet nodded, fists raised into a fighting stance, and hovered just enough into the air to be at height with Gojira.

"…we already know how to." Mako mumbled off to herself with dread. She hoped she would not have to remind him.

A sloppy amalgamation of amphibious bodies crawled out from the neon depths. Kaiju of all vicious breeds, far nastier than the previous hordes, rushed onward. They pushed and shoved passed each other, eager for the allegiance untied before them. They looked famished for bloodshed, driven by rage, and created solely for violence.

Anguirus stomped and snarled at the oncoming beasts.

"Let's kick their ass." Madison uttered with fiery eyes and a cocky smirk.
