The rain poured and the calamity fell. The only lasers from the living champions shut off and the world fell silent.
Link pulled himself up, his side was badly cut and he was covered in bruises from his fight. He gazed off into the distance where Mipha's divine beast was. She was the only champion that fell. His eyes were deep and glassy as he help back tears, his childhood friend was...gone. His thoughts were qwickly interrupted by an unconscious Zelda falling into his arms.
Impa was terribly worried she couldn't see anything through the think smog enveloping the land but the glow of raging fires. It looked surreal as a silhouette started to illuminate through the smoke. Could it be? It was...LINK! And Zelda held tenderly in his arms. Swiftly the sheikah guards took Zelda from his arms before he collapsed from exhaustion.
It was a few days later when Zelda awoke, the light was an unwelcome sight but she soon adjusted. It took a few minuets but she soon reconised her surroundings, she was on a temporary bed in Impha's house. It had not changed a bit in 100 years apart from a familiar face also layed on a temporary bed across the room. She got up and hesitantly walked towards the still body.
"L-Link? Link wake up!" Zelda commotion down the stairs woke Impa.
"Calm yourself child, hes only asleep, like you have been for the past few days." A huge smile spread across Impa's face as she saw Zelda's emerald eyes for the first time after all these years.
" ..Impa? Is that you? And what do you mean few days?"
"yes child its me and after using all you power the seal Ganon away you were very tired."
"Then how did i get here?" Impa did not answer she just gestured towards Link who was starting to awake.
"Your knight is still as loyal as ever my love." Impa began to walk back upstairs "I'll leave you and your knight alone to catch up." And with that to door to her bedroom shut and there was silence once again. Zelda sat on the edge of Links bed, waiting for him to awake.
It took longer than expected but finally those piercing blue eyes met hers as she leaped into his arms. He tried to hid his pain as Zelda lent on the gash in his side but of course she noticed.
"Oh My Goddess are you alright?" Her eyes were frantic as her hands scanned his body for the slightest scratch. Link placed his hands on hers as he gently pushed then off his body.
"I'm fine Princess, the more important question is how are you?" His eyes were soft just like his voice.
"Well if we ignore the calamity and the fact that Hyrule is in ruin and I'm left to fix it, I'm fine thanks." They both chuckled. He was glad she was still as funny and beautiful as he remembered.
