Crash Aftermath

As Andy sped off in Pursuit of the remaining gang members Chloe Gail and Chris ran to the body of the one Andy had managed to bring down before looking at each other "Andy is going to need some help" Chris said "We'll go" Chloe referring to herself and Gail who nodded "Stay here with Fox and Connor and keep this area clear" Gail said before jumping into a squad car. It took a few minutes but they finally caught up with Andy's squad and what they saw horrified them, They could do nothing but watch as Andy's tire was sot out and she began to lose control before a second burst caused the squad to flip followed by a the smash of metal on metal when another car it Andy's driver side

"NO" Gail and Chloe shouted at the same time they pulled up with some near by units who had been alerted by Andy they went to control traffic while Gail ran to the wreckage and Chloe called for an Ambulance and some further back up "1505 WE NEED A AMBULANCE FOR VEHICLE COLLISION PLEASE BE ADVISED OFFICER INVOLVED" "ROGER 1505 AMBULANCE ON ITS WAY PLEASE NAME THE OFFICER INVOLVED" "ANDY MCNALLY" Chloe then pulled out her personal phone and called Oliver.

"Price whats going on"

"We need the D's down here but you are going to want to leave Sam out as a cop anyway"

"Why"

"It's Andy "

Back At 15 Division Sam was in the detectives office with Traci and Dov where they were going over the evidence from the shots fired call that morning. It was a simple enough case one way to ease Dov into detective training, Sam himself through was starting to feel unsettled while there where elements of detective work he liked there was a strong part of him just itching to put the uniform back on and work the streets again after all the whole reason he'd become a detective was a combination of Jerry's death and the breakdown of his and Andy's relationship the first time round and while he still missed Jerry to this very day and would always he had Andy back and there relationship was stronger than ever.

Sam was lost in his own Andy filled world for a few minutes until Oliver came rushing into the office causing Traci and Dov to look up and Sam to jump.

"Epstein Nash your needed down town with Peck Price Connor and Fox" Traci and Dov looked at each other they could tell by the way he was speaking that this could not be good, As they to leave Sam went to join them but was stopped by Oliver "Not You" turning his head back to Traci he said "Go and close the door" Traci did not like where this was going there was only one reason why Oliver would want to talk to Sam alone and she did not like it catching Dov's eye she could tell he was thinking the same thing.

Oliver turned to Sam "Nash and Epstein are going to work the bank robbery down town"

Sam not understanding why he'd being pulled back said "Okay I'll join them"

Oliver shock his head "I can't have you on this case Sam"

Sam looked confused "Why"

Oliver took a deep sigh he knew the next word or rather name he spoke would cause Sam to possibly lose it "Andy"

Sam froze "What happened"

"She was involved in a crash while in pursuit of the suspects she's on her way to the hospital go she needs you"

Sam had never moved so fast he was out and in his truck in 2 minutes before staring up the engine and driving off towards the hospital as fast as he legal could, Oliver watched him go before going back to the staff Sargent office if this was going to lead the way he thought it would for Sam he would need a few old faces back at 15 and to do that he had a few important phone calls to make,

30 minutes later Sam was running through the front doors of the hospital and up to the desk he took a minute to catch his breath before saying "My wife was just brought in from a car crash" getting ready to look at the computer the receptionist asked "Name" "Police Officer Andy McNally 15 division" Sam answered "McNally" the receptionist said to themselves looking through the list of patients for a minute before looking back up at Sam and telling him where to go.

It took Sam 10 minutes to get to the right floor and after making sure he was allowed to see her he was now standing at the door to her room. As he stood there he was able to see Andy through the glass on the door and was glad to see that despite having her arm and leg bandaged up plus having a few nasty cuts and buries on her face she was awake. Sam knocked the door causing Andy to look up and the door and smile as best she could when he came in.

"Hey" she said as Sam came in "Hey" Sam answered "Rough day" he said trying to make a joke but his voice had concern in it which Andy noticed "Sam i'm..." she was interrupted by another knock on the door and the doctor came in.

"Officer McNally"

"Hey Doc"

As the doctor saw Sam he said "Your husband I presume"

"Yes" Sam answered before asking "How is she"

"Well apart from the cuts and buries which will heal quickly the force of the impact also caused a broken arm and fractured leg so i would recommend 6-8 weeks off of the job for her" he spent the next 10 minutes going over everything before leaving them to it.

Sam stayed by Andy's side for the next few hours just as he was getting ready to leave Andy spoke to him about something she'd been thinking about.

"Sam"

"Yeah Andy"

"I've been thinking about my rookie and I think while i'm out the best cop to train her is the cop who trained me"

Sam thought about it whilst he enjoyed being a detective he did miss being out on the streets, looking back at Andy he said "I'll talk to Oliver if lets me i'll do it" he leaned in to kiss Andy before getting up and leaving the hospital he drove straight home and went to bed he needed all the rest he could since the coming days were going to be tough.
