"Do you see anyone?" A girl peered out from behind the curtain where they waited directly backstage.

"Shhh!" Another hissed, and pulled her back.

One girl sat at a drum set, lazily twirling a drumstick in her right hand. "They'll be here. They said so in the email."

"That doesn't mean they can't change their mind," another girl responded. She sat in a foldout chair, tuning a guitar.

A fifth girl came into view, walking up the stairs off to the right. "He's here, off to the right of the stage."

A hush fell over them. "Are you sure?" the second girl whispered. "You better not be making this up."

The fifth girl frowned. "Why would I? This is our chance."

"We've got this," the girl at the drum set said confidently, picking up the other stick. "We've been waiting for this opportunity for months. How much time have we spent practicing?"

"Too much." The girl who'd been peeking out behind the curtain laughed. "But you're right. Let's go out there and kill it!"

The girl with the guitar stood up, holding it high. "Let's do this," she grinned.

It was nearly six o'clock, and the festival was well underway. The girls stood on their toes, excitedly bobbing up and down. They weren't the headliners- that luxury went to a couple of big name bands the organizers had managed to snag during the middle of their tours- but the girls were in the final timeslot for local bands. And that felt pretty big after spending quite a lot of time performing in local bars and clubs in the scene. The festival was by far the biggest show they'd done so far. Being early June, festival season had only just begun and the girls were hoping to get onto a couple more bills before the season was over.

It had all led to this. Months earlier, at the beginning of the year, they'd finally released their first EP and then spent the majority of the first half of the year promoting it. That meant a mini tour during March, driving a couple hours out to different venues on weekends, still mostly playing to small bars and clubs, and squeezing themselves into whatever show the promoters agreed to. It meant nights in crappy hotel rooms, perpetual exhaustion, tears, and more work than any of them had ever put in. It'd been nearly three weeks since their last show, and the girls were more than a little anxious to get back on stage. But they'd purposely taken the time off to practice more and get ready for today's big moment. It was all going to be worth it.

They'd sent their strongest song from the EP to Spiral Force Records not too long ago, and miracle of miracles, the company had responded. Two of the bands under their label were performing at the festival, and they were willing to send a representative out to hear the girls.

If all went as planned, they could very well end up with a potential record deal.

The band currently on stage finished up. They came off the makeshift wooden stage, through the curtain.

"Good luck out there," the singer flashed a smile. "The crowd's psyched."

While another band started playing on a second stage across the field the festival was situated on, the girls would have thirty minutes to make sure everything was set up properly on this stage for their performance.

After that, it was show time.

I'm back with another story! Against my better judgement, considering my awful updating skills, but I really fell in love with the idea of this story and since no one else is, it's on me to write it XD My apologies the OC form is rather long, but I need as much information as possible now so I don't have to bug you guys for it later. Please read and complete it thoroughly for my sanity.

I am taking 4 OCs MAX, not including my own. I can't handle more than that quite honestly, and I know the story will flow better if I keep it manageable. Don't get me wrong, I love writing Dreams Under the Stars, but with 11 shippings and 22 characters to keep track of, it gets exhausting. That story's way longer than it was originally supposed to be and I don't want that to happen with this one. Finishing within a year for once would be lovely.

Secondly, I am only accepting FEMALE OCs. Focusing on a girl band in this one, sorry. On with the form! If you've got questions, let me know. Please submit by PM only. One OC per author. At the bottom I'll have accepted OCs listed so you can see what and who are already taken.

Name:

Age (preferably late teens/early 20's):

Appearance:

Personality:

"Starving Artist" Job (retail worker, model, freelance writer, artist, photographer, music coach, etc.):

Next, FIRST COME, FIRST SERVE (I have a feeling one of these roles might be very popular and I can't be sure how fast I can update- Regardless, pick which BEST fits your OC and their personality)

Role in Band: Currently, rhythm guitar OR keyboard OR violin are available. If your character is the lead vocalist, or does backup vocals, please include a description of their vocal abilities.

Instrument description:

Genres of music they like: I doubt all of us could agree on a single genre, so by default I'm probably going to make the band more "radio rock" since that's pretty universally liked, but I'd like to see answers to this anyway and see if there's a way I can incorporate it.

Themes you would like to hear in the music (heartbreak, romance, loss, etc.):

Inspirations: Can either be bands, or stories from your OC's past, whatever would influence the music they create

Festival Attire:

Normal Outfit:

Party Outfit (not formal wear):

Stage Outfit 1 (include hairstyles and any important face makeup):

Stage Outfit 2:

Please note, I may need to come up with further costumes, so if you can give me an idea of what your character likes (colors, sequins, leather, sparkles, chains, lace, crop top, flowy/bohemian, skintight, etc.) that'd be helpful! :) Also, I realize I'm asking for a lot of outfits. If you need help or want me to design any for you, just give me an overview of your character's style and I'll take care of it.

Any pre-stage rituals: Are they nervous, do they eat the entire cheese platter backstage? XD Whatever works!

Crush:

Drink preferences: Alcoholic or otherwise. If your character's straightedge, that's totally cool, I just need to know so I don't have anyone do anything wildly out of character. There will be parties.

Other Relevant Info:

I've come up with several band names (although I'm open to suggestions). And yes, it was hard to come up with them which is why they all have a similar theme XD And also why some of them are garbage lol. Pick your favorite one (or two)!

Venus Thunder

Lunar Dream

Eclipsed Dawn

Solar Crush
