Panzer: G'day all, I'ma say first and foremost, Sorry for my latency I've been busy, So to make up for it I wanted to share a new quirk idea inspired by titanfall 2 with the huntsman
Hunt: sup fuc….n ,fun people that read and enjoy our posting of brain babies
Panzer: Anywho, I had an idea and I wanted to give a new chapter idea for your opinions, the development process for some quirks, I wanted to use this as a kick off point to see if you lot enjoy it or not
Hunt: a pilot chapter so to speak
Panzer: so the inspiration occurred from level 5 of the titanfall 2's campaign, Blood and Rust, The exact inspiration is the grizzly device, A tool that allowed minor time travel between two static points in time
Hunt: redundant much? I'm here for the booze so don't expect much from me, just you know the one with the brain cell privileges here extrapolate and make things viable
Panzer: wow… Anyway, I took that concept and weaved it into "Grizzled Fighter'', A quirk that allowed the user to travel between an "origin" and a "Dystopia", two parellel universes with a mirrored world, The Dystopia is the origin point but twisted on it's head making all human life extinct, Most technology has malfunctioned from Human absence and evolved fauna, good luck getting signal
Hunt:...It's the ability to travel between the real world and an apocalyptic version with no humans...No tech works but the last ditch effort automata do? Go figure malfunctioning purge bots survive but the Nokia doesn't bullshit
Panzer: wow, a Nokia joke, Didn't see that coming
Hunt: hey I find the automata thing out of place in the given scenario
Panzer: what else do you expect to be an actual threat? Man is it's own downfall
Hunt: the animals are a good start and maybe some super predators and maybe latent radiation and various leftovers from the war that no doubt caused the end of humanity
Panzer: Whatever, Stage two of the quirk progress is refining, A part of making a "Good" quirk is micro tweaking to make it work out,
Hunt: wait stages to refining/making a quirk? We just kinda wing it tho...
Panzer: I know but I see stages to it
Hunt: WTF I thought I was the format-y one
Panzer: You are, I'm just mechanical in thinking
Hunt:...Ah that's why you don't put anything in a format you analyze and download it all in your head like a robot were as my thought go *brrrrrrrrr* than I have to organize it
Panzer: yes, Anyway, Grizzled fighter has a downside, Presyncope and Syncope, or in common terms as Hunt would/will put it
Hunt: you looked those up to sound smart
But it's light headed and faint respectively
Panzer: Well it actually saved me space and taught me something new
Hunt: uh huh sure...
Panzer: anyway, It occurs when the user shifts or "Phases" but an issue with that is when it first develops in the user
Hunt: cuz 4 year olds popping into the apocalypse is great fun but thankfully the quirk has built in safety measures which we can cover later
Panzer: Was given is what you meant, That is a tweak added to make it work, but now how this displacement and movement works, They move parallel-y between universes Meaning when the phase in one spot
Hunt: they show up in the same spot in the other one UNLESS something is there then they pop as close as possible to it because unlike Bethesda we prevent clipping through the world
Panzer: correct, meaning they can evade and cause mass hysteria among their enemies by popping in and out, Quickly striking and dodging attacks
Hunt: this sounds like Minato the yellow flash with extra steps… dis we mention time moves slower in apoco-limpus
Panzer: oh yeah, Thyme moves 75% slower meaning for every 3 seconds that pass in dystopia, 1 passes in origin… I did that wrong… lemme try again
Hunt:...I don't think that's right...for Every second in apocrypha .25 seconds pass in real life? Fuck if I know
Panzer: That's it… maybe
Hunt: us? writing late? plz we are more responsible than that…..
Panzer: riiiight, It's only midnight
Hunt: midnight and a half
Panzer: sure, Anyway, Stage 3, Questions about abilities of the quirk, like, Should the user be able to take people or vehicles into the apocalypse world?
Hunt: oooh ooh this is the format part right?
Panzer: Not quite
Hunt: oh..not quite
Panzer:
Hunt: BEHOLD the final product!
Quirk: Grizzly Gate
Overview: the user can phase between the real world and an apocalyptic version with no humans. There is no tech and hyper lethal fauna and flora. Time moves 75% slower in the apocalypse realm.
Type: emitter
Limits:
Phasing causes lightheadedness and faintness *can be trained away *
Can only transport themselves
Techniques:
Phase gate - The user phases between realms
Q&A
"Can The user Take objects into the realm when they shift?"
Panzer: Yes, to an extent, they can pretty much take anything they can carry
Hunt: or is an extension of their being i.e. there soul gets separated via quirk but not say a severed arm pretty much if it's attached to them it transports
"Would an ailment from a quirk such as the paralysis segment of Ethereal barracks remain in effect after they shift?"
Hunt:Yea, they are in whatever state they phase in there is no healing property to the quirk. So say they phase while being mauled by a super evolved grizzly bear (hehe grizzly bear grizzly gate…) they would be in whatever state they were in when they phased
Hunt: well that is the process of quirk crafting when we only have a brain cell to share
Panzer: I hope you enjoyed, please let us know if this is something you'd like to see more often, like doing an index, a quirk creation and then 3 fights then repeat or however
Hunt: yea tell us what ya think of the quirk or if you want the thought processes behind our quirks or if we should do a real q&a thing or if you hate everything about us so I can laugh at you for being an over sensitive bitch...man i should stop and just say goodbye before I actually mean something offensive...
Panzer: Yeeeeeaaaaaah, I hope you all have a wonderful status of time be it day, noon or night, Good bye
Hunt: peace out folks hope ya have a good day whether it's just starting already over or somewhere in between
