Elsa sat up suddenly, panting as she looked blearily around her surroundings. She was lying on a bed of furs, with Sera next to her and Anna and Kristoff on their own bedroll just a few feet away. None of the villagers were awake, and the only movement she saw was guards patrolling near the edge of their camp. Frowning, she tried to force herself to wake up more as she looked around her again, trying to discover what had woken her up.

Then she heard the voice call out and Elsa groaned, flopping back down into the furs with her head in her hands. "I did what you wanted," she whispered fiercely. "Now, be quiet so I can sleep. I can't follow you without any sleep."

She waited for several minutes, about to drift back to sleep with the voice rang out again. Making an exasperated noise, she rose from her bedroll and walked over to the fire that a guard was stoking nearby. She sat on a tree stump near the outer edge of the fire's warmth, wrapping her arms around herself as she surveyed their camp. There were villagers asleep on the hard ground, many of them shivering, and every guard that passed looked exhausted and on high alert. Elsa's eyes dropped to the ground in front of her, biting her lower lip as guilt began to swirl in her stomach.

Movement caught her eye and she looked up, jumping as Sera came into her view right next to her.

"Sorry, my love," Sera said softly. "I didn't mean to startle you. I saw that you were awake and wanted to make sure you were okay." She smiled, though it dropped somewhat as she took in Elsa's pained expression. "What's wrong, darling?"

Elsa dropped her eyes to the ground, blinking as tears started to build in them. "I reached out to that voice on a whim and look what it's done. The whole town is sleeping outside on the ground because it's too dangerous to go back to their homes and Anna is furious with me for messing up what our family had." She dropped her face into her hands as her tears began to flow down her cheeks. "I'm so stupid."

"You're not stupid," Sera said, kneeling down next to Elsa and rubbing her back. "Why did you reach out to the voice this time? What was different than before?"

"I don't know, honestly. I just got overwhelmed by curiosity about what it could show me. I was only thinking about myself and not how it would affect everyone else. Which means I'm a terrible queen and a terrible sister." Elsa paused for a moment, sniffling, then shot Sera a worried look. "Are you mad at me, too?"

Sera shook her head and squeezed Elsa's shoulder. "Not at all. I'm a bit confused by everything changing so quickly, but I'm not angry with you. And I want to help you figure this out."

"Thank you." Elsa sighed with relief and leaned against her. "Does this mean you'll come with me to the forest?"

Sera nodded and took Elsa's hand, waiting to speak until she had laced their fingers together. "I will follow you, my love. Wherever that takes us."

Elsa leaned over to gently kiss Sera's cheek. "Thank you," she whispered with their faces still close. "I love you."

"I love you, too," Sera said, smiling when Elsa kissed her cheek again. "Are you ready to try to sleep again or do you need to sit her for longer?"

"Could you sit with me awhile?" Elsa asked, smiling when Sera nodded. She shifted over on the stump and Sera sat down next to her, wrapping an arm around her shoulders.

They were quiet for a few moments, until Elsa spoke again. "How do you think all of this will all end?"

"I have absolutely no idea," Sera said, making Elsa laugh softly.

"Yeah, that's what has me so nervous." Elsa looked down at her lap, running her thumb over the back of Sera's hand. This could ruin everything that I—that we have tried so hard to build."

Sera shrugged. "It might change things for the better. Don't discount that."

Elsa gave her a small smile, then looked up at the stars and sighed. Her stomach was still in a worried knot, but it had calmed somewhat, and the voice had stopped bothering her for now.
