Sins of the Past Chapter 31
Seeing Things
Author's Note: I've just finished posting the sequel to this on Wattpad. Now on to the final story. I'll be getting to posting it here too, but it'll take more time. Feel free to check it out there.
It's becoming like a parade or something.
I lean against the wall of what I guess is my cell, as far away from the main door as I can get while still being tied up with gloves on my hands.
First it was Giles, then Connor, and then Kennedy. It's got me kinda curious who's going to be next. The first three were so much fun, I gotta have a little more. Otherwise I'm going to get too bored too quickly and that's not going to suck... and not in a good way. I'm sure it's only a matter of time at this point. The only real question is who it's going to be. Probably not my sister or the bitch. They're probably too busy getting it on to bother to deal with me being locked up like this. And I can't imagine a repeat performance from the ones I've already come by.
Maybe Giles, assuming he figures anything out, and really has something to say. But I'm guessing it's unlikely. He's way out of his depth on this. It took him forever to figure out how to help with Glory and how to stop me from almost destroying the world. So much so that he actually got his slayer killed, which makes him basically the worst Watcher ever. Well... maybe Wesley, given how badly he screwed up the bitch. I highly doubt he's going to have anything valuable to contribute.
Which means it's definitely not going to be a repeat. So... who could it be? Willow? Maybe Xander? One of my idiot sister's little soldiers from back when they were in Sunnydale? Someone new? I'm guessing they haven't had enough time to get Angel here from LA or wherever he's coming from. Although it's hard to tell when you're in a windowless room with nothing to pass the time around. It doesn't feel like I've been in here that long though. Maybe a day, if that. Even with all the resources Angel has, he probably isn't here yet.
Especially since I'm guessing that my sister and Giles wanted him to avoid using those resources to come and see me. They're probably afraid that the big evil scary law firm is going to get their hands on me. And that means Angel's going to have to take extra precautions to make sure he isn't followed to get here. Even though the evil law firm probably already knows where this place is, who I am, and what's going on with me.
They've been around forever and have faced all kinds of challenges to their power. I'm guessing that they know exactly who that Wrath guy is, what he wants, and what happened to him. What I did was some pretty powerful work. I'm guessing it didn't go unnoticed by them that something's out there they can take advantage of.
So trying to hide it feels really stupid and obvious.
I hear the door open and look to see who the next one is.
But that's not going to keep them from trying.
"Hey Dawnie, how's it going?"
I can't help but smile.
"Aye matey, it be goin grate. How's about y'all?"
Xander laughs at my words.
"Nice, I like that, it's a good one. Playing up the pirate thing."
He makes his way further inside the cell, trying to act casual about it.
"But seriously Dawn, how are you?"
I can't help but sigh at the obvious approach he's taking. I slide my way down the wall from a standing position to sitting.
"What do you want Xander?"
"I'm just, you know, checking in. Making sure you're doing okay, given everything."
This is just so obvious, it's kinda pathetic.
"I'm chained to a wall in a cell. How do you think I'm doing?"
"Hey don't knock being chained to a wall. There's a lot of fun you can have like that."
Did he really just go there?
"Yeah, but most of those things involve at least one other person."
I stretch myself out so that my body is much more on display for him, letting skin show as my shirt rides up a little.
"Unless, is that why you're here?"
He gets a little uncomfortable but tries to hide it.
"What? No..."
I run one hand through my hair, throwing it to one side so that the other is mostly clear for him to see. Which he can't help but notice.
"You know, I used to have the biggest crush on you when I was younger. You remember that?"
"Dawn..."
"Do you have any idea how many times I fantasized about you and me? How many nights I stayed up thinking about you?"
I run my hand along my chest before moving down to the breast most obviously in his line of sight. He tries to hide seeing it but it's too obvious.
"That's... that's not why..."
"You may have even been the one that I was thinking about when I had my first orgasm. Of course, it's hard to remember at this point."
My hand moves its way down to the exposed skin of my stomach, rubbing at it through the glove.
"I've had so many since then. It's hard to keep track. I've had a lot more experience. I can't say that I ever thought about the two of us using chains, but these days I'm not against it."
I sit up and lean forward, my arms out in front to push my tits together and bring out the cleavage. I get all pouty and try to look as innocent as possible.
"I could even play the sweet, little innocent Dawnie you're so fond of if you want. You can treat me like I've been naughty and that's why I'm in chains if you like."
"Dawn..."
I notice the bulge in his pants and it makes me smile. I get up on to my hands and knees.
"I admit, most of my experience is with girls, but that just means we have a lot in common."
I start to crawl my way towards him slowly, making sure I'm on display as much as possible.
"In fact, maybe we should compare notes. After all, Faith was my first... and she was yours too."
Getting up as close as I can to him, I stop before I hit the end of where the chain slack is.
"I'm kinda curious to know what she was like in her wilder days. I'm guessing that she was a lot more fun back then."
I sit back and lean against my hands, lifting one knee well enough so that it's obvious my crotch is on display.
"Or, you know, you could always... instruct me."
I let that suggestion hang for a moment.
"I'm not sure if Connor has told you, but I've been experimenting with guys in college. It's actually a lot more fun than I thought, but I don't think the guy knows much about what to do and how to do it when it comes to women. I'm guessing with a thousand year old ex-vengeance demon to give you pointers, you could probably teach me a thing or two."
Again I let that hang for a second.
"Isn't that what you do these days? Instruct young girls who need to be taught about the world?"
I give him a sexy sad look.
"Teach me Xander. Give me all the instruction that I need."
There's a long silence as I wait for him to respond.
"Are you done?"
I smile at his question.
"That all depends on you."
He crouches down so that he's at eye level while still being just outside how far my chains will go.
"You know, when Buffy and Faith brought you here with Connor, I didn't want to believe them. They said that you've become angry and bitter, but I didn't want to believe that it was true. I couldn't believe that you had fallen that far that fast. There had to be some part of the person I used to know. Even after Giles and Connor and Kennedy came out from here and said that it was true. I had to see it for myself to be sure."
Of course...
"Because that's what you do, isn't it? You're the one who sees everything? The one who knows? Is that the speech you're giving me again? I mean, it's a cute speech don't get me wrong, but it's just words. You don't even see the whole picture anymore... only about 50 percent of it these days. But I can still see clearly... and with both eyes."
I take a deep breath.
"I can see where the world went wrong. And more importantly how I can fix it. I can give you back your eye. I can give you back Anya. I can give you anything you want."
"But can you give me a reason to hope about you?"
I don't respond to that.
"I didn't think so."
He stands up and starts heading for the door.
"I'm really sorry Dawnie."
He leaves. I drop back onto the floor, looking up at the ceiling again.
What the hell does he know anyway?
