(20 Minutes Later)
Time Travel..
Perhaps the most advanced piece of technology the Zetans had aboard the spaceship Kai Morrisey commandeered from the tiny green maniacs all those years ago. Capable of sending him all across the vast expanse of time and space in an instant.
Or…
It could drop him in the middle of a strange green forest on an alien planet as a young girl fell from the sky.
Such a predicament was exactly what The Lone Wanderer, "Wander Ainsley" found himself in. The girl was currently lying unconscious beneath the tree he found her in. Meanwhile, Wander did his best to make himself as noticeable as possible to distract the strange bone-covered animals that were swarming the area. Music blaring loudly from his Pip-Boy with added vocal support by himself served that objective pretty well, evident by the speed he was forced to maintain as he did his best to avoid being sliced in half.
"In my heart I have but one desireeeee~" He sang loudly as he shot a hole through the chest of a charging wolf with his Xuanlong Assault Rifle, he rolled forward and twisted back around to fire back at another lunging wolf. "And that one is you, no other will do~" An explosion sounded as he tossed a frag mine like a disc into the bone covered face of one of the big bears.
He had traveled through time on countless instances before, both to the past and future and not once had he ended up in a different world, though he supposed you could only accidentally go to a different world once. It didn't even make sense for it to mess up, he only went back five minutes because he overcooked his food. 'Then again I probably shouldn't have been bending space and time for something so trivial so I guess this is what I get.' He admitted to himself.
"I've lost all ambition for worldly acclaim, I just wanna be the one you love~" The Wanderer flipped over the head of an incoming bear and fired down from above, he landed on it's back, careful of the deadly spikes jutting out, and placed another mine on its back. He backflipped away as the explosion set off but in the air he wasn't prepared for the swipe of a claw from a giant scorpion. A scorpion that he somehow missed in all of the commotion. He grinned widely as he stood back to his feet, "Well now, you're the first familiar sight in awhile."
He looked back to see if the girl was still untouched, which she was, lying peacefully under the tree and utterly oblivious to the mayhem going on around her. Satisfied with that, he looked back toward the massive insect, still grinning like a mad man. "I'm not sure what kind of planet this is but I am definitely enjoying myself. Listen, my friend, when you die could you please try not to disintegrate like the others? I really would like to study you." The scorpion only stared silently in response.
"Hmm, I'll take that as a yes." The scorpion then charged forward, intent on piercing him with its stinger. Wander rolled back just in time for the stinger to plunge into the ground in front of him. He let loose with his rifle into the base of the stinger, results were minimal but he wasn't done just yet. He conjured a grenade from his Pip-Boy and hurled it at the thing's face where it exploded on impact, staggering it. He followed that up with two more grenades before sprinting forward and sliding under the scorpion's belly, blasting away at its exposed undercarriage. He emerged on the other side propped up on one knee and pressed the detonator in his hand for the dozen mines he placed down during his slide.
"Checkmate."
The explosion that followed completely obliterated the scorpion, blowing a hole clean through its body. To Wander's chagrin, however, it immediately began to turn to ash and smoke like all the others.
"How is that even possible?" He wondered with his hand on his chin. "Synthetics that dissolve when they die? Are they even synthetic? What would even be the purpose of evolving the ability to dissipate upon death? Perhaps to dissuade natural predators since they don't leave behind a corpse to feast upon. There must be something else to this." He turned to look at the unconscious girl. "Perhaps she can shed some light on this when she wakes up."
That would have to wait, however, as another wave of the creatures was descending upon him.
"Fantastic!"
As the giant, spike-covered bears emerged from the tree line, Wander spun around and threw a small metallic disk onto a sturdy branch of a nearby tree. A second later he appeared atop the disk with the Perforator in hand. The world slows to a crawl as he activates V.A.T.S and begins marking his shots. Four bears, four shots to the left eye, each with an 80-90% accuracy rate.
BOOM
BOOM
BOOM
BOOM
Each shot hits it's mark and four seconds later all four bears are blowing away in the wind. But the danger isn't over as even more creatures begin to pour in, immediately he begins firing off shots not even bothering to aim for anything specific as the swarm of monsters is so thick he's guaranteed to hit something.
Eventually he's forced to drop back to the ground in order to protect the girl. He called upon his most treasured weapon, "Wanderer's Best Friend," a marvel of Human and Zetan engineering in the form of an American Assault Rifle that fires plasma at the same velocity as a regular bullet. It boasts an impressive damage output as well as a clip capacity of 75 shots.
Monsters began to fall in droves as he fired with impeccable accuracy, not even needing to use V.A.T.S. By the time his clip went empty 25 of the beasts had been killed. Unfortunately, they finally managed to close the distance between them causing Wander to throw down another disk beside Blake's body which opened a blue dome around her for protection.
"Oh the things I do for strangers." He lamented as he turned back to the horde, rifle at the ready and a steely look in his eye. "If I wasn't so smart I'd think I'm stupid."

"Ow"
The amount of pain coursing through Nolan's body was unbelievable, it felt like… well, like a Mini Nuke blew up in his face and he fell several hundred feet to the ground. His power armor just barely managed to withstand the devastation of the Mini Nuke, the subsequent collision with ground is what finally did it in. As he lay in a deep crater, his body screaming at him to pass out, he took the time to silently thank the tiny 4x4x4 cube in his left hand for succeeding once again in keeping him alive. He stored the cube in his Pip-Boy and replaced it with several Stimpacks which he quickly jammed into his thigh, immediately the aching began to subside, though it wasn't gone entirely. With a bit of effort he managed to sit up onto his elbows and get a look at his surroundings, all he could see, however, was a wall of dirt about 10ft high.
"Ugh, what a stupid fucking idea. Maybe I really do have a death-wish." He said to himself as he crawled over to the wall of the crater. "Alright soldier, on your feet and eyes on a swivel. Gotta figure a way outta this shit." He used the wall to scramble himself up to his feet, though he wasn't sure how he'd get out the crater in his current condition, just standing up nearly spent all the energy he had.
"Buffout could do the trick maybe? Always a risk taking chems though… let me atleast try and get out on my own first." Nolan proceeded to withdraw two Combat Knives from his Pip-Boy and jabbed them deep into the wall. Before he could even check if he could carry his own weight he was frozen by a deep and sinister growl from above. Slowly he craned his head upward and saw yet another wolf creature poised and ready to strike. And strike it did, with a hateful roar it pounced down upon Nolan, mouth wide open, ready to bite the Sole Survivor's head clean off.
"SHIT!" He cursed as he rolled out of the way before the beast could end him, ignoring his body's protest as adrenaline surged through his muscles. He popped back to his feet just in time to roll again as the wolf spun around and charged at him again. Nolan rolled under an overhand claw swipe and when he popped back to his feet he had the monstrous shotgun, "Le Fusil Terribles'' in his hands. Without hesitation he pulled the trigger and the shotgun boomed, blowing the face off of the killer wolf. It dropped to the ground and began to disintegrate. He heaved a heavy sigh, "Fuck this forest. How the fuck is there even a forest in a nuclear apocalypse?" He asked no one but the skies above.
There wasn't any time to curse the world however as more growls rumbled from above and Nolan looked up to see the edge of the crater lined with more wolves. "Fine, this how you wanna play motherfucker?! Let's fuckin do it!" Shouting at the sky once again. Then the fight was afoot as the wolves leapt down upon him.
The first wolf was quickly blasted away by a blast to the face from Nolan's shotgun, as well as the second and third. The fourth however hopped to the side before he could pull the trigger and managed to forcefully smack the gun out of his hands, which he responded to by cocking back and punching the beast dead on its snout. He summoned a machete from his Pip-Boy and followed up with two quick slices to its face that made it rear up on its hind legs, exposing its belly for him to stab it through the heart. No time to celebrate as the fifth and sixth wolves were now heading for him in tandem. As they charged for him, Nolan replaced the machete with Ruth's Baby, a sickly looking steel baseball bat with saw blades on both sides and two rockets in between for added swinging force.
"Batter up, bitches." He growled, bringing the bat back in a classic batter's stance. He once knocked the head off a Super Mutant with this thing, these wolves didn't stand a chance. And he was right, as soon as number 5 got within range he swung with all of his might, assisted by the rocket jets, and sent its head flying a mile away accompanied by the cheers of an adoring crowd. That turned out to be a mistake however as putting so much unnecessary strength into the swing sent him ever so slightly off balance so that he was unable to correct himself in time to escape Wolf 6's attack. The beast clamped its jaw down hard on Nolan's right forearm, its teeth didn't fully pierce his heavy shadowed combat armor, nevertheless, it was still latched on there tight and wasn't about to budge anytime soon.
"GAH! FUCKER!" He cursed more in annoyance than any actual pain. This was followed by two more curses of actual pain as Wolf 7 latched onto his leg and Wolf 8 leapt onto his back and sunk its teeth into his right shoulder. He was once again pinned down with no way out, his bat was unfortunately in his right hand which was firmly trapped in the jaws of Wolf 6. Summoning another weapon from his Pip-Boy wouldn't help because it would appear in his dominant hand, which was his right. All of that to say that he was fucked, doubly so as the Alpha Wolf chose now to make its appearance. This one was bigger than the others, much bigger, the bones that covered the hides of the other wolves paled in comparison to the thickness and deadly sharpness of the Alpha. To Nolan it easily resembled a Deathclaw, and if he weren't in so much pain he'd most likely have no problem killing it.
The Alpha stalked toward him slowly, walking on its hind legs as if it possessed a modicum of intelligence. It knew that it had him right where it wanted him, purely at its mercy. "You're an ugly sonuvabitch. You better chew hard motherfucker, cause if you don't I'm coming right back up!"
'That sounded cooler in my head.' He thought to himself, almost regretting that those would probably be his last words. Standing at nearly 8ft tall on its hind legs, The Alpha crouched down to look Nolan dead in his piercing green eyes. It roared almost mockingly in his face, its giant maw opening wide enough to easily capture his entire head within its razor sharp embrace. The Alpha stood back to its full height, bringing its right paw up into the air, claws extended ready to strike The Sole Survivor down, when suddenly a thunderous shot rang out and the Alpha's entire arm was reduced to a black mist. The attack was so sudden and unexpected that the beast could only stare at its mutilated appendage in confusion rather than cry out in pain.
It was then that Nolan saw, up on the lip of the crater, two figures standing with weapons at the ready; the first he recognized as one of the girls from the aircraft, the one with the weird ribbon sword weapon, though she didn't have it with her. The other figure was a man, tall and slender with a Military Issue Gauss Rifle on his right shoulder, his duster/lab coat flapped in the wind and Nolan recognized the unmistakable blue and gold of a Vault Suit underneath.
But the most eye-catching feature of the man was the way his Pip-Boy reflected the sunlight off its surface.

(10 Minutes Earlier)
A Dull, Throbbing Pain
The very first thing that Blake felt when she awoke on the ground underneath a tree. Alongside that pain, and probably more pressing, was the light brown skinned man hovering over her. When her brain finally finished rebooting, and she realized the situation she was in, her instincts kicked and she was on her feet and several feet away in the blink of an eye.
"W-who are you?!" She demanded to know, reaching for Gambol Shroud only to realize that she didn't have it. Her mind flashed back to when the Bullhead was spiraling and she was forced to release her hold on her weapon or else be crushed to death when the aircraft crashed. 'This is bad.' She thought to herself, 'I guess I could always use my Semblance to escape, but I have no idea what he's capable of. Best to play this safe.'
"Well alright then, it's good to see the Stimpack worked nicely, though you barely needed it if I'm honest. You heal remarkably fast, young lady." The man said, his voice and tonality exuded intelligence and charisma, it reminded her somewhat of Professor Ozpin's way of speaking, as if the age of his face was a fraction of that of his soul. The man had trailed off into silence, a hand on his chin as if he was deep in thought. Blake took this time to take in his appearance. His clothes were… strange, to say the least. A white duster, or maybe a lab coat, caked in dirt and grime, worn over a weird looking blue jumpsuit with bits of armor attached to it. Most strikingly was the oversized gauntlet on his left arm. It was gunmetal gray and looked to have a screen on it, though she couldn't make out what was on it from this angle. Besides his clothes he looked pretty normal, she might even consider him handsome if things weren't what they were. A strong jaw, high cheekbones, clean shave, mesmerizing hazel-blue eyes. Even his hair was shaped up with spiraling waves that looked like they took a long time to perfect. It begged the question of why his clothes were so dingy if he clearly took great care of his appearance.
"Hey!" She called out, gaining his attention again. "I asked you a question; Who are you?"
"OH! Right! My name is Wander Ainsley, you wouldn't happen to know where we are right now, would you?" He asked as he fiddled with the device on his arm.
That actually caught her off guard, almost to the point that she dropped her guard, but not completely, this man was still an anomaly. "What do you mean? Are you saying you stumbled into the Emerald Forest by accident."
"Well in a manner of speaking, yes, I pretty much did. Look, just assume I'm an alien and I've never seen or heard of anything in this world. And please you don't have to be so tense, if I wanted to hurt you I would've killed you while you were unconscious. Now if you don't mind I've picked up a signal on my Pip-Boy and I think it might help us if we follow it to the source. Let's walk and talk." He turned and began walking off, leaving Blake alone to wonder how she so quickly lost control of the conversation. She thought of going off on her own to maybe find where her teammates had crashed but without her weapon she'd get decimated by the first Grimm she saw, or maybe the second if she was lucky. So she half jogged, half ran to catch up with the quick pace of the strange man.
"Well… Are you going to tell me about this strange new world?"
Blake sighed. "I'm not even sure why I'm even with you, all you've told me is your name and now I'm supposed to educate you like you've been living under a rock?"
"Self preservation, obviously. I can tell from the way you reached behind your back the moment you were on your feet that you're a fighter, one that's currently without her weapon. If you went off by yourself, probably in search of whatever crashed aircraft you fell out of, you'd be dead the moment you ran into one of the monsters that roamed these forests… well maybe you'd survive the first but definitely not the second."
Blake's eyes widened as he recounted almost exactly what went through her head before she decided to follow him. It was one thing to infer on the reasoning behind someone's actions, it was another thing entirely to accurately recount their exact thought process. Could he possibly have a mind reading Semblance? Or perhaps he was just that intuitive. Whatever the reasoning was, it was certainly freaky for lack of a better term.
"I… well... never mind. What exactly do you want to know?"
"Hmm… Well, let's start with the name of this planet."
Now Blake was starting to wonder if maybe he really was an alien. "It's called Remnant."
"Remnant? A remnant of what?" He asked her, as if she was the strange one in this encounter.
"I don't know! I didn't decide on the name." She responded, "Are you actually an alien or just crazy?"
"Well that's subjective, from my perspective you're an alien. Speaking of which, does everyone here have cat ears?" He asked flippantly, not even noticing how the girl paled considerably.
Blake's hand shot up to her head only to realize that her bow was missing, she was so focused on this strange man that she hadn't even noticed that her cover had been blown. She couldn't even go back for it as they were too far from the tree she landed in and she doubted he'd be willing to go back with her. She supposed it was fine, the only people out there besides this man, "Wander," were her teammates and they already knew her secret. Wander didn't seem to care either way. She finally decided to answer his question after having her mini freak out.
"No, not everyone does, the majority of the population are regular humans. My people are called Faunus, we're mostly identical to humans except we all possess an animal trait of some kind. Cat ears, a dog tail, antlers, the list goes on and on."
"And let me guess, because you're different and there are less of you, your people have been systematically oppressed in the past or still are to this day?" He said matter-of-factly.
"How'd you guess that?" She asked, once again surprised by his perception.
"Any species with intelligence needs to find one reason or another to see itself as better than the rest. I've seen so very many civilizations rise and fall simply because they couldn't all get along. Though it is unfortunate that Earth isn't the only world where humans are selfish and petty. C'est la vie, I suppose." He tried to hide the sadness in his voice but Blake managed to catch it. She could empathize, however, she knew all too well what it was like to see your people go down the wrong path.
Rather than acknowledge his slight shift in mood she instead asked, "What's Earth? Is that where you're from?" She decided to just accept his tale of being from a different world. Though it is hard to believe that he's not from Remnant considering how… normal he looks. Weren't aliens supposed to look… like aliens?
"Yes it is."
"What's it like?"
Wander released a heavy sigh, one filled with sadness, regret, and a twinge of... perhaps guilt, maybe. "It's dead. Close enough to it anyway. I don't really want to talk about that. We're almost at the source of the signal, that's enough talking for now."
Blake picked up on his sad tone and chose to quiet down and follow him. The duo came upon a deep crater and inside said crater was a man being held down by three Beowolves while their Alpha stalked toward him. The man was cursing his lungs out, challenging the Alpha, vowing to strike it down if it failed to kill him. She had to commend his bravery in a situation that would leave even some of the most seasoned Huntsmen praying to their gods.
Upon closer inspection she could see that this man wore the same device on his left arm as Wander, though his wasn't as shiny as the man she was traveling with. This man had a tanned complexion that expressed many weeks and months out in the sun as well as unkempt brown hair that was caked in sweat and grime. Dressed in full body, black armor over a blue jumpsuit, he definitely looked stranger than any Huntsmen she ever saw. He was certainly built like a Huntsman, even from this far away she could tell he was massive, possibly 6'6, but probably taller, and incredibly muscular, she was immediately reminded of her giant of a father, and along with that remembrance came a pang of guilt. She quickly stuffed those feelings back down, not wanting to think about how much her parents probably hated her.
From what she could see of the man's face he looked to have a stubble beard with a full goatee that accentuated his jawline that was as strong as the rest of his body. She suspected that when his face wasn't scrunched up in pure, unfiltered malice he was actually a fairly good looking guy, though doubtfully to the same degree as Wander.
"How are you feeling right now? Can you fight?" Wander asked, cutting off her mental assessment of the man.
"Sure, but I lost my weapon when I fell from the Bullhead."
"That's fine, I just need you to get him out of the ditch while I keep these beasties distracted. Can you handle that?"
"No problem, just let me know when." Blake said, getting into a ready stance.
With a bright flash of green Wander's Gauss Rifle appeared in his hands. He got it as a reward for helping a group of Brotherhood Outcasts with a simulation and the subsequent entry of a vault. He sometimes found himself wishing he could go back to that simulation again, back before he got deep into the ridiculousness of the Wasteland and the only thing that mattered to him was finding his father. Most of all he wished he could go back to before he started time traveling.
He soon realized he was slipping into a place in his past that would only hinder him at this moment so, pushing those thoughts aside, he brought the rifle up to bear. He aimed his sights on the raised paw of The Alpha as it prepared to strike down his fellow Vault Dweller. The all too familiar metallic sounding twang of a Military Issue Gauss Rifle roared throughout the forest, audible from at least a mile away. A metal slug was fired at several times the speed of sound through The Alpha's paw, blowing apart its entire arm.
"Go… uh… girl!" I completely forgot to ask her name. I have to stop doing that.
Without hesitation Blake sprang into action just as Wander fired another shot, hitting the Beowolf pinning down the man's arm in the side, practically exploding it. She leapt high into the air, easily clearing the distance between in an instant. With his arm free, Nolan quickly brought Ruth's Baby down hard on the head of the wolf on his shoulder, its skull caved in without hesitation and its boldly slumped to the ground like a heavy sack.
Meanwhile, Blake landed in a crouch beside Nolan and mustered a great deal of strength into her leg and kicked her heeled boot into the throat of the Beowolf on Nolan's leg, killing it immediately and causing its body to dissipate. A second later she wrapped her arms around his waist and attempted to jump out of the crater.
The man didn't move.
Not one inch. It was as if he were a tree, rooted to the ground.
Instead he threw down his weapon, charged forward out of her grip and tackled the Alpha to the ground and proceeded to grace its maw with a vicious series of world shaking blows. Each fist connected with thunderous applause, sending teeth and black blood flying in all directions. After several of the monstrous blows he reached his hands into the Alpha's near toothless maw and wrenched its mandible down, completely tearing its lower jaw off, as well as a portion of its chest. "Shoulda been faster, mutt."
And just like that the fight was over, though it wasn't much of one, all things considered. Nolan stood to his feet as the mutilated corpse of the Alpha slowly turned to dust. "I appreciate the help, I would've hated to die by a bunch of weird ass wolves. You," He pointed to Blake, "What happened to the rest of your team?"
However, she was still stunned by the display of brutality by the man. Never in her life had she seen a Grimm dispatched with such ruthless aggression. She had no love for the creatures of darkness, but she did wonder what happened in his life to make him capable of violence. Especially if, judging by the device on his arm, he was from the same world as Wander. Seconds later she managed snap back to reality and process the question asked of her.
"The rest of my-" Realization dawned on her face. "You're the armored Huntsman we were sent to rescue! I thought you died in the explosion. What happened to your armor?" For whatever reason, it never occurred to her that this could be the man in the hulking black armor.
In response to her question Nolan materialized a tiny black cube from his Pip-Boy, much to the astonishment of Blake, and presented it to the girl. "It's in repair mode. Should be up and ready in a few days. You didn't answer my question though, is your team alive?" There was a concern in his voice that surprised Blake, he'd only just met them yet he seemed to sincerely care for their well-being.
Regaining her composure, Blake answered, "The force from the explosion caused the Bullhead to spiral and I got thrown out. I'm not sure where they landed, but it'll take more than a crash to take out Team RWBY."
Nolan smiled, "Glad to hear it. Though it probably wasn't the force of the explosion so much as it was the EMP. Completely fried the electronics on-board. What's your name, by the way?"
"I'm Blake. Blake Belladonna." She said.
"Hmm, so that's her name." Wander mumbled under his breath, thinking no one could hear him.
"I was wondering when you were gonna ask, Wander."
Instead of being embarrassed, Wander was in fact fascinated by the fact that she heard him. "That's incredible! Your cat ears actually work! Do both sets work? That must be quite strange to hear so many things from so many directions at once. Then again you've been like this your whole life so it'd be more strange to not have four ears. Oh this world is so interesting!"
"What's his deal?" Nolan asked Blake as the mad scientist continued to rant incoherently.
"I honestly have no idea. We just met and I already kinda wish we hadn't." She said while pinching the bridge of her nose.
"Hey!" He called to the rambling man.
"Hmm? What is it?" He had almost forgotten they were there.
"You a Vault Dweller?"
"Oh, yes, once upon a very long time ago, now I am but a Wanderer, drifting through the stars." Wander's voice took on an aristocratic air as he spoke with poetic flamboyance.
Nolan cocked an eyebrow, "Okaaaay…" He said, reaching down to pick up Le Fusil Terribles, "What Vault are you from?"
"Vault 101, a small little Vault stuck inside of a mountain in the most inhospitable Wasteland on the East Coast of America. Except maybe The Pitt. That place is a hellhole if ever I've seen one. What about you? I see the Pip-Boy on your arm, and the Vault Suit under your armor. What Vault are you from, Mr…?"
"Nolan Jade. I'm from Vault 111 in The Commonwealth. You got any idea where we are, 101?
"Well, according to our raven haired friend here, we are on a planet called Remnant." Wander said rather blandly.
"...WHAT?!" He yelled so loudly that both parties present visibly jumped in surprise.
"Calm down, it's not the end of the world." Wander said. "This is nothing compared to some of things I've been through."
"What the fuck do you mean 'a planet called Remnant?'" Nolan asked the Wanderer, incredulously.
"I mean exactly what I said. We're no longer on Earth, my friend. You can't really be surprised, there's no trace of nuclear devastation and there are deadly monsters that dissipate when you kill them. Where on Earth is any of that possible?" Wander questioned.
"Yea, obviously it doesn't make sense, but the last thing I would've guessed would be that I was teleported to a different planet! Who the fuck thinks of that?" Nolan had slumped to the ground against the edge of the crater with his head in hands. "How do we get back?"
"I'm not entirely sure. I found my way here due to my time machine malfunctioning." Wander said nonchalantly.
"TIME MACHINE?!" Exclaimed both Blake and Nolan simultaneously.
"Where the hell did you get a time machine?" Nolan asked.
"How does anyone get a time machine? I was abducted by aliens, escaped, killed their leadership, then took the ship for myself. Quite simple really."
"You two are actually from a different world… but you're so… I can't say 'normal' on account of this guy.' She gestured to Wander who simply shrugged his shoulders in agreement. "But I don't know, I always assumed aliens would look like they do in the movies. Tiny green men with giant bug eyes."
"That's what the Zetans looked like, actually. Perhaps they've visited your world before."
"Man, you are seriously fucking my head up. Screw this, let's just find a way out of this forest. I don't think I can handle anymore revelations right."
"Wait." Chimed in Blake. "We have to find the rest of my team first. Though I'm sure their Aura's protected them from the crash it doesn't change the fact that they're stranded out there. I won't leave without them." She stood her ground. A defiant look in her amber colored eyes.
"I never said I planned on leaving them. You were sent out here to rescue me and now it's my turn to do the same for you." He stood to his ever imposing full height, forcing both Blake and Wander to crane their necks to look up at his face. "We find your team and hopefully by then they'll have sent out a search party for you."
"Wait. I've picked up another signal on my Pip-Boy and it's closing on us fast." Wander said, gaining the attention of his two companions.
"Any idea what it is?" Asked Nolan as he materialized the Shishkebab and a .44 Revolver into his hands with a flash of green light. He also pulled out a machete and a 10mm Pistol and handed them to Blake who greatly accepted.
"Well considering that any nearby electronics would have been fried by the EMP of the Mini Nuke, I would assume that it is another Pip-Boy signal." Wander then called for his Xuanlong Assault Rifle which appeared with a flash of blue light. "I'm not entirely sure why we're being so cautious. If I were to hazard a guess I'd say that whoever is coming is someone in much the same predicament as you or I, Nolan."
"Yea, I'd rather be safe than sorry. If they're from the wastes and they have a Pip-Boy there's no telling what they're capable of. I mean just think about what you could do if you got the jump on somebody." The Sole Survivor reasoned.
Wander shrugged. "Fair point, actually." He quieted down as they waited for the source of the signal to reveal itself.
They weren't forced to wait long as up ahead two glowing red lenses appeared out of the brush swiftly followed by the form of a man in a sleeveless duster and a menacing riot helmet. In his arms he carried an unconscious man with a grossly contorted leg. But none of that was as striking as the Pip-Boy on his left arm with gold and silver plating and encrusted with honest to God diamonds.
"I think I found your friend, girls!"
A/N: That's chapter two posted. I actually had to rearrange it a little because originally the Courier was supposed to appear right after the first scene with Wander and then it was supposed to jump around a bunch. When reading it back I felt it was a bit jarring so I took a few scenes from chapter three and put them here. As such, don't expect the next chapter to be released this soon as now I have practically nothing written.
I can tell you that the majority of the next chapter will focus mainly on what The Courier was up to while these three were getting acquainted.
I should mention that I am taking a lot of liberties with established Fallout canon and maybe pushing the technology a bit farther than is believable. But also, in the last three games we have seen actual, feasible teleportation: The Teleportation Matrix on the alien ship in Fallout 3, The Transportalponder in Fallout: New Vegas, and the Molecular Relay in Fallout 4. All I'm saying is that if these geniuses can do something that we in real life still can't even begin to fathom, then it's safe to say I have a lot of wiggle room to imagine what else they can conjure up post-game.
You also may have noticed two names for the Lone Wanderer, that is not a mistake, it will all be explained later.
Along with chapter three will also be character sheets for each of the "Wanderers," as I like to call them, detailing their S.P.E.C.I. and equipment. Nothing super in depth and you'll still have to continue reading and try to guess exactly what perks they have. Though I believe I did reveal one of Nolan's perks already. Hint: He did not move.
Anyway, that's all for me. I'll see you wonderful people in the next chapter.
