I started with casting Holy on Yunalesca. Yuna saw what I was doing and followed suit. So in between healing, Yuna and I were casting Holy. It didn't take long to take care of her first and second form. When she showed her true form, I started calling aeons. Valefor was first and with a few hits, Valefor hit its overdrive. He unleashed his overdrive, and Yunalesca took the hit. Then she banished Valefor. Ifrit was next, and he took the hit for us. That sent him into overdrive as well. And Hellfire was released and before he could do anything, he was banished. Shiva was already in overdrive mode when I summoned her, and Yunalesca was hurting. One last push and she was defeated.
After her final words, Yuna went to leave, and I stopped her. We had to get the Sun Crest. I led the group to the broken staircase and when we were returned to the room, a chest had appeared. I opened it up and grabbed the Sun Crest, then turned to leave. The dome was quiet as we exited, and we saw Sin start to leave. Tidus paused, and we saw the Airship veer around Sin. Cid came out after the Airship landed, and he knew who I was.
Rikku yelled at her dad, asking why he was here and why was he using the airship. He talked for a bit in Al Bhed and then turned to me.
"Rikku says there will be no more final summons. Is that true?" He asked me, and both Yuna and I nodded. That is when Yuna spoke up about the defeat of Yunalesca. Cid turned to her, a big grin forming on his face. He then ushered us all onto the airship. Brother was waiting for us and hugged Rikku as soon as he saw her. Cid was overjoyed at having Yuna there, mostly because it meant that she didn't have the final aeon. I looked at him and said that we needed to talk to Maester Mika. He told us that he would take us anywhere. So off we sped.
It didn't take long to get to a safe place near Bevelle. We got off the airship and walked from Macalania Woods to Bevelle. When we got to the temple where Mika would meet us, he seemed angry.
"What are you doing here? Shouldn't you be fighting Sin? You did get the Final Aeon?" He asked, and when we told him no he asked why.
"We fought and defeated Yunalesca at Zanarkand. There will be no more final summons." I told him. At my words, he cried out about how the hope of Spira had gone out and told Yuna that Yu Yevon the eternal would devour Spira. After he was done, he departed for the farplane as if there was no hope left. I saw Bahamut's Fayth first and drew Yuna's attention to him. He motioned us to his chamber, and we knew. We decided to follow him without question. So using the back way to the Anti-chamber, we entered the Chamber of the Fayth.
"So do you know how to defeat Sin?" He asked. I nodded and outlined the plan. I knew Yu Yevon would be hard to defeat, but defeating Jecht would be harder. I knew it had to happen, but still. If I was right, defeating Jecht would mean that I would be the only one alive that traveled with Braska. And that hurt my heart. I had almost forgotten that Tidus would disappear as well, and that would leave Yuna devastated. Everyone could see that she was falling in love with him.
"This plan is good but if we pull it off, the dreaming will end. And those dreaming will awake, and the dreams will disappear. What is our better option? End the dreaming or let Spira be destroyed?" I looked at Tidus, who nodded. Yuna looked confused, then at the Fayth again. Then she looked at Tidus, and he shook his head. After looking at both of us again, she said it was a good plan. The fayth nodded, and I turned to leave. I turned back to see Yuna bowing to the fayth before following me. Tidus followed after her. Auron and the rest were waiting for us and when we said we had a plan that didn't include a final summoning, they were overjoyed. Except for Auron.
"Auron, you will see him soon. I promise." I whispered so that only he would hear. I guess he heard me because he nodded. Auron would have to make peace with Jecht before helping us defeat him, and that I knew would hurt him. Even with all the trouble, Jecht had caused on our journey with Braska, Auron and Jecht had gotten close. About as close as Auron and Braska. I only hoped that Auron had the strength to fight his friend...to end this. Forever. That was a new concept for everyone. To end despair and fear, that is what we were doing. And I think Auron was ready to help end it as well. As we exited the Highbridge, I saw two chests that hadn't been there before. Opening them to find two sigils.
We reboarded the airship, and I told Cid that we needed to visit every place over again to grab what we missed. Cid looked at me and asked me why, so I told him about the celestial weapons. When I explained that those weapons would help us defeat Sin, he became all happy and eager to help. So we started for Besaid. When we made it back to Besaid, everyone greeted us. And then the questions started. Why were we back? What were we doing in Al Bhed machina? And were we still going to battle Sin? We answered them truthfully and this shocked even the priests. That is when I told the people that we needed their help to defeat Sin for good.
"When we start singing from the airship, we need you to sing along," I asked them. They agreed without question. One place down. We let them walk us to the village, and feed us. As night fell, I grabbed my guardians and handed them the weapons that captured fiends. Ben grabbed any items he could from the fiends, and we defeated them. After a couple of hours, we had captured all the fiends we needed for the arena and returned to the village. Yuna met me at the gate.
"We found this in the temple. Is it of use?" She held out a sigil to me and I took it. I told her that it would be very helpful and thanked her. We decided to retire for the night. Ben and the others headed to the Crusader's Lodge, while we girls headed to the temple. The next morning, we headed back to the airship and reboarded. When we were ready, Cid took off and headed to Kilika. That only took an hour. We got off the ship and entered what was left of the town. The town was still in shambles, but I knew that the town would be booming again in two years. I headed down the path to the temple and handed my guardians the capture weapons again. This started a fiend frenzy, and soon we had too many fiends captured.
