When we made it to the temple, Yuna asked me if they should look for any random items that could be useful. I told her, yes, and she took off. We were only there for about an hour before we returned to the bridge of the airship. Cid of course was waiting for us. And it was on to Luca next. I told Yuna that Sin would have to wait, but it might be better to walk to Zanarkand again. And surprisingly, she agreed. So long story short, we walked back to Zanarkand. It took about a month and a half to reach Zanarkand, but we found almost everything...including some crests and sigils. But there were two places we hadn't visited. Baaj and Remiem Temples. Zanarkand Destruction Sphere was hard to get, but after an hour we had it.
Baaj Temple was next, and we needed all the help we could get. I told our swimmers to lure the guardian toward us so we could heal them, while our black mages and the others waited. As soon as Geosgaeno spotted them, they lured it close. While they fought, Yuna and I kept them healed. It didn't take as long as we thought, and soon Geosgaeno was defeated. This is where it got tricky. The swimmers had to help those of us that couldn't swim. Lulu needed the most help since my boys had gone through swimming classes most of their lives. Auron and Kimarhi just didn't want to get wet. I finally said that Yuna and I would go with those who were going. That jumped the others into protective mode. So everyone got into the water. When we made our way inside, I found someone I never expected.
"Drew is that you?" I asked surprised. He was not as heavy as he once was, and it looked like he had not had a good night's rest in months. He looked up at me and asked if he was seeing things. I carefully walked over to him and gave him a hug. This was all it took and tears started to appear in his eyes. After crying for about ten minutes into my dress, he lifted his head and asked if he could join me. Of course, I said yes. That is when he told me what had happened to him.
"I was sleeping in my bed, and I woke up on some rocks outside this place. I tried to get in, and a big monster appeared and I swam for my life. I found the doors and there was a small hole that I managed to fit through, I have been eating raw fish for a while now, and have been scared to venture farther inside. I had just about given up hope when you guys showed up." He explained. Sora and Zaon knew him as Uncle Drew and after he was done, they jumped on him. My best guess was that he was glad to see people he knew and that Zaon and Sora were safe was the best news.
I asked him if he wanted to join us inside, he shook the boys off and stood up. I motioned Drew to follow me and headed for the trials. The trials were just pushing in statues that had spheres that were glowing. And due to my diligence, all the spheres were glowing. They represented Besaid, Kilika, Djose, Macalania, Bevelle, and Zanarkand Trials. We all pushed one statue in and after all of them were pushed in, the door opened. Thus, we were ready to meet Seymour's mother.
"Why would you seek my power? With all my son did..." She asked coming to our calling. Yuna had no answer, but I did.
"We come to seek your aid, to defeat Sin once and for all. To repair the damage that Yevon caused to you and your son." I stated calmly. Seymour's mother nodded and agreed to lend us her power. That was easier than I thought. We returned to the airship with one more person with us, and when Cid found out that Drew had been eating only fish for a while he made a great feast for us. Next was for us to return to the Calm Lands to get the Cloudy Mirror. By this time, the Chocobo trainer was there, and ready to rent us chocobos. So we did.
We rode over to the Arena, where for our efforts, we were given the Blossom Crown among the multitude of items. Next was Remiem Temple, and we needed the Chocobos for that. We headed to the entrance to the Calm Lands from Macalania Woods and instead of turning to Macalania Woods, we headed straight. The bridge was broken, but we had chocobos. And they could jump to where we needed to go. So I led my chocobo to the edge and told it to jump. I landed on the other end, and the others watched what I did. Soon we were all over to the ledge.
"We have to leave our chocobos here, but they will wait for us." I said as I dismounted. I walked towards the hidden entrance, with Drew right next to me. I thought I knew what we faced here, but boy was I in for a surprise. As we crossed the bridges to get to the doors, they opened. And out walked my step-mother, Dawn. As soon as the boys saw her, they ran to her yelling "Grandma!" She scooped them into her arms and kissed them on the foreheads. Then she looked up to see me.
"I am glad that you are here with them. Who are the others? I know Drew and Ben, but who else do you have with you?" She asked, nodding to Drew and Ben. Yuna looked at me questioningly. So I knew I had to explain.
"Mom this is Yuna, Braska's daughter. He was married before me, and like you are to me, she is my step-daughter. Zaon and Sora are her brothers. These people with her are what are called guardians. Ben, Drew, Sora, and Zaon are my guardians. Yuna and I are called Summoners." I told her. She nodded and told me that there was a summoner inside, and that she barely talked. I knew it was Belgemine, and she was waiting for us. But I wanted to get the Cloudy Mirror first, and I told everyone that.
"Do you mean this mirror that will not come clean? I have been here for a while, and explored here. I would have gone farther, but the bridge leading to that plain is broken. So I watched this sphere-thingy, and rode the bird they called a chocobo. I got this as a prize. Is this what you are looking for?" She asked me, and when I nodded, handed it to me. I told her to lead us to the summoner that was waiting, so she turned towards the doors and pushed them open.
There Belgemine stood and as soon as she saw us, she said that she was glad that we found her. I stepped up to her and told her that I would battle her. She summoned Valefor while I summoned Ixion. And when Ixion's health was low, I knew how to heal him. I made him cast thundara on himself, and he perked right up. When he was ready, we Thor's Hammered her Valefor. Next, we fought Ifrit against Shiva. My Shiva wiped the floor with Ifrit. Then she summoned Ixion, so I decided to take it up a notch and summoned Yojimbo. And Yojimbo wiped the floor with Ixion.
"Had enough yet?" I asked Belgemine, who in turn summoned Shiva. She was easy to defeat with a hasted Ifrit. Bahamut was next, and he faced Anima. You can guess who won. When she summoned Yojimbo, I summoned Valefor. Luckily, my Valefor had learned high level black magic and Curaga. So when she finally summoned Anima, I was ready with Bahamut. After the battle was done, Belgemine congratulated me and handed me the Flower Scepter. I thanked her, and Yuna and I used the Blossom Crown and Flower Scepter to unlock the last of the Aeons.
Yuna and I walked in, and talked to the Fayths for the Magus Sisters. After talking for ten minutes, they gave us their power. We had one last thing to do in Remiem Temple...and that was defeat Belgemine's Magus Sisters. I summoned Anima again, and we fought. It was neck and neck for awhile, but I emerged victorious. Afterwards, Belgemine told me I was ready to fight Sin and there was no more she could teach me. Yuna was surprised when Belgemine left for the Farplane.
