Grimm-

They are described as "creatures of destruction" that lack a soul; hence, they are unable to use Aura. They are also drawn to feelings of negativity - such as envy, sadness, loneliness, hatred, etc. - often congregating on the source of these emotions. -Rwby Wiki

Talking Grimm-

Talking Grimm are Grimm with a Human/Faunus mind and aura. They're made by a Human body being overwhelmed and transmuted by the negative pool of Grimm, making them just as blood thirsty as an ordinary Grimm. The only difference is, they're durable, smarter and resistant to the effects of the Silver Eyes ability unlike normal Grimm who are completely vulnerable to it. Once their aura break, they're completely vulnerable to the Silver Eyes natural flash ability. They are also smarter compared to normal Grimm.

Pure Talking Grimm-

Pure Talking Grimm are Humans/Faunus with complete control of over Grimm.

The abilities of being a Pure Talking Grimm is that they're able to summon Grimm from pools and command them. Body Transmutation that could be used for defensive and offensive purposes, boosted basic physical abilities, including aura. Thanks to the aura and physical body they have, they are highly resistant to the Silver Eyes flash ability.

The next day after the fallen out with Adam and Weiss. Ruby, Yang and Jaune noticed that Weiss look awfully sad. Not knowing whether it was because Adam attacked her or when Adam brought up the Schnee Dust Company.

Weiss was very vocal about how her family reputation and finances took an all time low when Jacques gotten involved. Ruby, being a supportive friend, spoken up, "you okay Weiss?"

"It's about last night..." She replied. "That boy..."

"Argus?" Jaune said.

Weiss look at them both, slightly confused. "Is that his name? I thought it was different..." She said, shaking her head, not really clear what his name was, all she remembered was her interactions with him and that mark. "Whatever it is...I think I know who he is. That burnt mark over his eye came from the Schnee Dust company. It's something they use to...mark...dust mine workers or in other words, Faunus slaves..." She explained.

"That's...terrible." Ruby said. "But...that's not your fault..."

"It is..." Weiss admitted. "Back when I was little, me and him use to go to school together. I use to...pick on him, bully him, only because he was a slave to my family company. Eventually, he snapped at me...and everything became worse." She explained. Weiss wiped her eyes softly as tears welled up in her eyes.

It was a guilty traumatic experience, watching a homeless little boy getting beaten up by adults, being the spearhead of bullying him to the point he was driven to suicide...all for what he was born as. People died because of what happen.

Ruby, Yang and the others were shock, mainly the others. Ruby and Yang knew that Weiss had some prejudice against Faunus's after her old arguments with Blake and comments toward Sun back when they lived in Vale but she also knew that Weiss was far different than her old self.

But Ruby and Jaune couldn't help to feel bad for Adam. Yang, the same but she also couldn't help to trust Adam. She couldn't recognize him due to the change of appearance and only meeting him once but everytime she sees him, the thought of getting her arm sliced off comes up.

Ruby, being the first to comfort Weiss. "Like you said...you were kids. As kids, we've done a lot of stupid stuff, stuff that's...regrettable but that definitely doesn't say anything about the person you are now. But...I do think you owe him an apology."

Weiss continued to wipe away the tears. "You're right...I've always wanted to apologize but after our incident, we've never seen each other again."

Ruby, Jaune and even Weiss taken upon themselves to find Adam. The ice queen felt extremely nervous. While she was very keen of defending herself, she was afraid that nothing between them would be resolved.

They went to where he trained but it seemed that a crime investigation was happening there. "Hey!" A law enforcer called to three which they turnt their attention to him.

"Is there a problem?" Jaune asked.

"No, not really. I'm telling y'all to stay clear. There's a serial killer out on the loose."

"A serial killer?" They said.

The officer nodded his head. "Yup. Killed multiple law enforcements in gruesome fashion. And since the hunters in Mistral somehow disappeared, we're kind of in a fright."

"We're hunters, sorta." Ruby stated. "Maybe we can help? Do you have any leads?"

"Barely. All we know that the victims were assign on a mission to arrest a Faunus who assaulted Headmaster Lionheart. It could be any Faunus."

Jaune and Ruby glanced at each other, the only person they rememberer training around there was Adam. Surely, it was a coincidence, Ruby thought. Weiss stood there, obviously out of the loop as s. "Well okay, we'll tell you if we find anything about this "serial killer."" Jaune stated

The officer nodded as he let them go on their merry way. "Ruby, do you think that...serial killer is Argus?" Jaune whispered.

"No...? I mean, it might be just a coincidence..." Ruby replied, hoping it wasn't him.

Meanwhile with the others, they were tiding up and were talking about Adam. "Tch, do they really have to look for...him?" Yang asking, sounding bitter.

"Seeing how people in Mistral don't take Faunus kindly, I think its best to find him before he gets in a fight, like in Yalishin." Ren stated.

"Tch..." Yang muttered. "Well, I don't think its smart to take Weiss with them."

"I can second that but I guess Weiss really wants to make up for whatever happen back then." Qrow piped in.

Ren was picking up an odd presence, a very negative one. A single one, actually. Nora noticed Ren, "You picking up something?"

Ren nodded. "Might be a Grimm? Tyrian? I don't know but the negative emotions are so strong."

They got their weapons and rushed out the building.

"GRIMM?!" A person shouted, people started to clear away.

The Talking Grimm rampaged through a crowd of people, charging towards Ruby.

Ruby, Jaune and Weiss noticed but it was only one. "Just one?" Ruby said.

"Might be a strong one." Jaune suggested.

Ruby being the target, the Talking Grimm leapt her, attempting to pounce on her. As the Grimm landed, it was struck right in the face by Ruby's scythe, barely budging as its aura would be visibly shine. "Aura?"

The Grimm would roared, hitting Ruby away with a backhand. Jaune charged at the Talking Grimm from behind, going for its legs but surprisingly, the Talking Grimm turnt to grab Jaune by his face. "Oh no!" He exclaimed, being slammed hard onto the ground before being thrown right into the building.

The Grimm would then actually be staggered by a slash from Weiss's large Knight summon. "Aura? That's not possible? Grimm can't have those."

"It's a Talking Grimm. A person trapped within a Grimm." Ruby noted. "They're much skilled than your average Grimm."

Jaune soon recovered and regrouped with Weiss and Ruby. "Geez, that Grimm clocked me."

Point-blank, the Grimm would charged electrical energy beam from its mouth, shooting at the Ice Knight summon, blasting them down on top of a store. Weiss unloaded, shooting ice at the Talking Grimm legs, trying to keep them immobilized.

Ruby and Jaune charged at the Talking Grimm simultaneously with Ruby attacking first. The Talking Grimm manage to break the ice off its foot, catching the scythe before swinging a roundhouse kick toward Jaune. "Tch!" Jaune blocked the kick with his shield but the force behind sent him barreling.

Ruby used her Petal Burst to escaped the Talking Grimm clutches as Weiss then engaged with it. They all was about to attacked the Grimm simultaneously. "DIE!!" The Grimm unleashed a black aura that blasted all three of them back.

The Talking Grimm then glared at Ruby which who was recovering from that aura blast. She wasn't surprised, gripping her scythe tightly, snickering. "Salem can't come and do her own dirty work?" She said, despite putting this brave front, she was secretly scared. Salem was after her head. "Did my mother suffer through this...?"

"RUBYY!" Nora shouted.

Both the Grimm and Ruby look up to see Nora charging down from the air. Unaware of Nora semblance, the Grimm fired a beam of electricity at her which she absorbed. "HIIYA!" She screamed, slamming her hammer down onto the Grimm's head. While doing so, she collapsed to the aside. "Ugh, that was too much electricity." She said, slowly getting up.

The Grimm didn't vanish so the fight was still on. As Jaune helped Nora to get away, Ruby decided to take advantage of this moment and slash her scythe repeatedly onto the Grimm's back. The Grimm was about to another Aura burst.

She quickly used her Petal Burst to swooped herself, Nora and Jaune away from the explosion. Weiss manage to jump out the way. "Thank god you guys came." Jaune mentioned. "Where's Yang, Qrow and Karla?" He asked.

"This Grimm is attracting other Grimm so Yang and the others are handling them." Ren explained, getting his sickle guns ready.

"It's a tough one. They have an aura." Ruby stated.

"So a Talking Grimm." Ren said.

Oscar gripped his cane, quite scared. "I don't think this should be my introduction to fights."

"Guys! Attack! I'm about to create another Glyphs Knight." Weiss stated, emitting her aura.

The Talking Grimm dashed at them all, Ren engaged first, unloading bullets rapidly. They were ineffective as now they closed the distance with Ren attacking first. Slashing his sickles, the Grimm surprisingly side stepped out of the way before knocking Ren down with a lariat. Ruby and Jaune charged simultaneously with Ruby loading her gun with fire dust before shooting it below the Grimm foot to create a smokescreen. Putting his shield away, Jaune turn his sword into a larger one. "HIYAAA!"

Immediately, he went for a lethal strike, thrusting his long sword at the abdomen of the Grimm. The Grimm shield itself, mutating its arm into a shield, having Jaune's sword penetrate into the shield made from the negative substance. "E-ehh? It can shape-shift."

In its other arm, it shape-shifted its arm into an axe, swinging it at Jaune waist. Surprisingly, Jaune leapt over the slash while still holding the hilt of his sword, kicking both his feet against Grimm's face, propelling himself away from the Grimm.

The Grimm barely staggered, Ruby flanked him from the left, slashing her scythe downward at the Grimm's cranium with again, the Grimm still swiftly dodging but Nora caught him off guard, blasting the Talking Grimm with her Grenade Launcher.

"It isn't using those aura blasts anymore, keep attacking now!" Jaune commanded.

Ren, now recovered, swooped quickly through the smoke of the gunfire, cutting deeply through the shin's of the Talking Grimm, causing them to fall forward.

Ruby, Jaune, Ren and soon later Nora, repeatedly slashed and rammed their weapons onto the ground, breaking down the Talking Grimm aura. "GET...OFF OF ME!"

Like previous times, it erupted another aura explosion. Ruby tried to use her Petal Burst to get them all outta there but the more people she had, the slower her Petal Burst would be.

While she manage to get them away, they still suffered some damage from the explosion. "Well looks who's wrong!" Nora shouted out.

"Look!" Jaune pointed.

The Talking Grimm was steaming in black smoke, not defeated but it looked like its aura was fading from the aura explosions it was using. "Those aura bursts are effective but takes a lot of aura. I guess it uses it when feeling pressured." Jaune stated

"If that's the case, I'm ending it." Weiss stated, commanding her Glyphs Knight. This time, it had a shield and its sword wasn't as massive compared to its other. The Glyphs knight charged at the Talking Grimm with the Grimm firing an electrical beam.

The Glyphs Knight used its shield as protection as it ran through the electrical mouth beam. A lot swifter, the Glyphs Knight swung its sword downwards with the Talking Grimm trying to block it with the same arm shield like previously but its durability wasn't saving it as the arm swiftly cut off by the single and fast slash. Quickly, the summoned Knight slashed at the Grimm repeatedly as it couldn't defended itself. "Sayonara." Weiss said, having her Knight end it with a finishing blow by decapitating the Grimm head off.

The Grimm fell forward as it started to fade into smoke.

"Heh! And for a second there, I thought I was spewing smoke!" Jaune said with a nervous chuckle.

"There's...a body..." Ren pointed out, walking over to a man who was laid out.

The man was foaming at the mouth as his body twitched and his eyes were in horror. "Is he alive?" Nora asked.

When Ren checked his pulse, it didn't come up. Shaking his head, "No..."

Ruby groaned, clutching her fists in anger.

Meanwhile, Adam watched on top of a very tall building, along with a little girl who had a Seer Grimm attached to her head, meaning that she's possessed by Salem. "Not the kind of power I was expecting coming from a Talking Grimm."

"It was only a test." Salem replied. "A test to see if she has mastered her Silver Eyes. Guess she hasn't."

It grew silent as Adam looked at Salem. "What? Not gonna tell me to kill her?"

"I would. But now knowing your situation, I would say deal with your own problems first while my subordinates deal with ours."

"Thanks, cause I still wasn't onboard with you anyway." Adam said, dropping off the building. He took advantage of this carnage and swiftly assassinated some Anti-Faunus members, just to send a message.

Eventually, the Grimm attack ended. Thankfully, not as close as severe. There wasn't any civilian casualties but a dozen of A.F.O members were found dead. It had alerted and had them in a frenzy.

It was now on the news the next day later.

"It has been reported that a dozen of Anti-Faunus members were killed by stabbing from a sharp objected. Mistral police force is relating these acts of serial killings to the death Officer Idaho and several other law enforcements. The only info about the killer is that he's a Faunus, a very skilled one. For Humans sake, I advise you to be alert and stay homes as their main targets are Humans. And for Faunus's, I advise the same and protect yourself as the Anti-Faunus are seemingly after the Faunus's."

"Well that's terrible." Nora said.

"What should we do?" Oscar asked.

Qrow and the others didn't know what to do. Civil and race war wasn't really their forte as it wasn't really as Black and White with the situation they're dealing with now. "The Anti-Faunus Operation is a sick organization but I don't know if this killer is a vigilante since they target law enforcement as well." Qrow explained.

"Which is the only legal Mistral defense." Karla stated.

"How we don't know if its Tyrian, trying to stirr stuff up?" Jaune replied.

That was a good point but Ren soon decided to bring his own two cents. "I don't think its Tyrian."

"What makes you say that?" Jaune asked.

"Tyrian can't mask his own negative emotions. If it was him, I could've sensed him." Ren stated.

Yang then brought up a suggestion, "what if its that guy who attacked Weiss? I mean, he does act like an insane maniac." She says.

"That...isn't true." Ruby tried to defend him. But the others (except for Weiss since she's out of the loop and Jaune) felt to agree with Yang. Jaune found this complicated as he didn't want to believe it but Adam does act very defensive around Humans, at least that what Ruby told him. Karla honestly didn't care about the situation, Mistral is seemingly dooming the Humans and Faunus that are residing here anyway, she thought.

Ruby then noticed that they weren't on her side. "Okay, if it is Argus, then what? We're just gonna jump him and hand him over to guys that hate him and his people?"

"Well, I didn't say that we need him to hand over." Qrow mentioned. "From what the news report said, if he keeps going out on this rampage, even Faunus's are going to suffer."

"Then what?" Yang asked. "If we don't hand him over, are they gonna suffer anyways?"

Qrow then glanced at Oscar. "Hey kid, let us talk to Ozpin right quick."

Oscar nodded and decided to let Ozpin take control. "I've already overheard everything." Ozpin stated.

"So what should we do then?" Qrow asked.

"We...have better matters to attend to." Ozpin answered.

That wasn't the answer they were expecting as they looked at each other confusingly. "What?" They said simultaneously.

"Remember, all the Mistral Hunters and Huntresses are gone, meaning that's its only us. If we go around picking fights with unimportant people, then what? We'll be left defenseless." Ozpin explained.

"So we just let people get hurt?" Jaune said.

"While I hate to say it, Ozpin is right. We don't know what my sister has done to the Spring Maiden, not only that but Salem is after Ruby's Silver Eyes. If we're busy wasting our energy fighting a organization that's very large by the way, we'll just be leaving ourselves open." Qrow stated

"So...we just sit here and watch?" Ruby said.

"Let's just trust that whatever Bullseye is doing." Qrow replied.

Ruby sighed. "Ugh, whatever..." She muttered, still having her bitter attitude towards her uncle.

Adam POV

A week had past, Adam has been putting fear among the Humans with the killings of the Anti-Faunus members, some of them had families so it destroyed familes and left people widowed. "Please don't kill m-" The member was interrupted, having his head cut off.

"Shut up fool-" He cursed, only to leap high and dodge several explosive arrows with it causing a small eruption. "Another one who looks to die?" He turnt his head, spotting another Anti Faunus member. But instead of it being an ordinary brown hoodie robe, it was red.

He held a rapid fire crossbow, while also having a sheath attach around his waist which held the daggers that the other members used.

This interested Adam, "you're new."

"Of course. I'm not as the same as the other cronies you've ruthlessly killed."

Their name is Justice, ironically. His semblance is Copy Mirror. He could create an exact replica of someone's physical appearance, allowing them to use their abilities. The downside is that they only last 5 minutes and can't exactly copy everything.

"So why tattle yourself all the way over here alone? Why didn't you bring the cops?" Adam curiously asked.

"The cops aren't exactly an ally to our goals." Justice said.

Adam mumbled as he and Justice leapt onto the buildings with Adam deflecting arrows with his Wilt sword. About to fire a couple of more, Justice was interrupt by an aura energy slash.

Justice manage to dodge it but Adam quickly closed the distance, slashing his sword downward. Justice used his crossbow to block it, only to have it slashed in half. Quickly, Justice shot out his dagger as he deflected more slashes from Adam. "Heh," Adam smirked, glad that his opponent isn't a complete weakling.

Justice tried to catch him off guard with a side kick with Adam leaping over it. Justice loaded his gun with his Wilt sword, shooting it point-blank. Surprisingly, Justice was able to deflect it away but only to be caught off guard by a kick that connected into jaw that caused Justice to stumble back. "Take this!" Adam launch a heavy punch with Justice blocking it with his forearms but was sent flying back in the process.

With his distance, Adam walk to get his Wilt sword. "I guess my excitement was all for nothing. You're boring as well." He says, charging up his Moonslice to finish.

"Tch! Copy Mirror." He says, having a mirror to copy the physical structure of Adam and come to leave.

Out of the mirror, Copy Adam shot out, performing the Moonslice just as Adam rushed. Clashing with each other, the two blown each other back. "So this is your semblance?"

"Have fun!~" Justice said, running away. Actually he wanted this to happen, wanting to lead Adam into trap.

Adam and the Copy Adam blades clashed with each other, matching each other with every movement. Point-blank, he'll discharge an aura slash that'll snap the Copy Adam sword before launching a Grimm arm right her neck, slamming it through a building. "Bastard." Adam muttered, chasing after Justice.

Justice led Adam away into an ambush. Funny enough, Adam had successfully predicted that, being able to sense negative emotions. As entered the field trees, expecting an ambush, suddenly the ground erupted with landmine explosives. "Shit..." He tried to escaped from explosives but was caught anyways.

Suddenly, the grunts who he thought were ambushing him, attacked, unloaded bullets at Adam.

Adam immediately skipped back, dodging and deflecting the bullets. They soon dropped down from the trees as Justice soon screamed. "Copy Mirror!"

The dozen of A.F.O grunts multiple by two. Justice watched from the behind the trees as Adam fought. "He grips tightly onto that sword. And from what it seems, it holds a lot of power."

Adam was disposing the cannon fodder, smirking gleefully as he did. Justice soon came out of hiding, charging at him and soon slashing his dagger at him. Adam did the same, only parrying it away so Justice would be open for a spin kick straight to the jaw. Grunting, before he could react, Adam stabbed him straight in the abdomen. "Tch, all that hype but no substance."

As Justice coughed up blood, he soon smirked. "Oh really? W-well, you'll soon know that I'm gonna be your down fall."

Gripping onto Adam's arm, suddenly the explosive arrows he had suddenly went off.

As Adam was dragged through the ground by the explosion, he looked up to see the actual Justice running away. "Ugh...dammit. He was more cunning than I thought." He admitted, slowly standing up, curious of what the A.F.O plan within that.

Justice POV

It was dawn, Justice had went to the hideout to the A.F.O, breathing satisfyingly. "Hey, Boss. I did what you told."

Their hideout was surprisingly big and well-made, thanks to Leo to sucking up to them. Their leader and the others wondered what info Justice gotten. They've been scared of this Adam person since he killed with no mercy. And when he did shown mercy, they'll be left too scarred.

Because of this, some regular members had hung up their cloaks and decided not to get involved.

So because of that, the A.F.O wanted any info they can get it. "So what do you have on him?"

"Well, I can't explain specifically. But, his semblance seems to be connected to his weapon. From what I've saw, he could release powerful aura from his sword and he also has a gun that he uses to shoot his sword. That's all I have. He seems he could be outsmarted, I've manage to do it and get an heavy hit. But, I wouldn't want to fight him if he has his sword."

"Hm, very well then. We'll use a both defensive and offensive strategy."

Sorry if this chapter shorter despite coming out late! It was meant to be longer but I decided to leave that for future chapters.
