Over the next several months, Nora continued to see Linnie, often dropping off flowers at the daycare or asking (or rather telling) him to meet up somewhere. Nora had to admit that although he didn't have the same confidence and attractive looks that Arthur had when they were growing up, Linnie did have a sort of charm to him. He was good at keeping his mouth shut and just agreeing with whatever she said, whereas Arthur would either correct her or ramble on about some nonsense. He was also painfully polite, and his tiny voice reminded Nora that of a small mouse. Because of that, Nora felt in control again, now dominating conversations and dates whenever they went.

He had also made Nora feel good about herself, almost always complimenting her whenever they would pass by each other. While he was still a bit skittish and blushed whenever they passed, Linnie would at least offer up a "You look nice" or said something nice about her work ethic. Though she didn't agree with most of his principles, he was right about something. She was pretty great. Shit, Linnie's lucky to have found someone like her.

Though, one thing that did annoy her about him was how much he talked about the children and his work. He was so, So damn annoying about it. There was never a freaking day he wouldn't mention a baby's name, or smile down at a stroller as he cooed at the baby inside. Nora rolled her eyes whenever he did. He would also often talk about having children on his own; an idea of which Nora absolutely couldn't stand. She never wanted to start a family, even with Arthur, and just wasn't willing to put up with some ungrateful bastard until they turned 18. She never understood why some men would go through all that pain and labor, for some spoiled ass brat you're stuck with for 18 years, only for them to turn around and have another one. Nora shuddered every time she saw a pregnant male fairy.

One evening, Nora had finally had some time to herself, with herself settling in one Saturday night with her newly delivered bourbon in her hand, laughing at the idiots on Fairy Feud.

"That doesn't start with the letter A, dumbass! Haah!", Nora roared, slapping herself on the knee as she felt herself feeling a bit lighter, the alcohol rushing through her mind. It had been another long week, so at the very least, she felt like she deserved the rest. She put her arm on the couch, though noticing how empty her side felt now that Arthur had left, and though she found herself missing him less, she still felt jealous whenever he was sucking up to Willow's prostitute ass. Ugh..damn that alcohol..putting her in a snuggling mood.

After a little while, Nora put her bourbon glass down and got up from the couch, headed over to her phone to dial Linnie's number, finding herself struggling to stand up right as the phone rang, giving her a small headache.

"Hello?", the small voice that pleased Nora asked.

"Hey sweetheart, why don't you come over tonight? Give you something to do other than watch someone else's brats for the night."

"Uhm..I'm not sure Nora. I mean, it's pretty late and I have to be up so I can make it to the children's hospital on time."

"What the hell you got going on in there? You don't have kids, do you?"

"N-No! Of course not! I'm so sorry..I volunteer there on Sundays. I think I told you but I wasn't too sure. I'm sorry I didn't say anything.", Linnie squeaked, his timidity making Nora tingle a bit.

"Oh come on, baby doll. When was the last time you did anything for yourself? Besides, you ain't gotta be here long. I just want someone to snuggle with. I'm lonely.", Nora groaned, "I can get you some of that wine you liked from the restaurant."

"I-I told you, I don't drink. Please I-it was just that one night."

"But you enjoyed it! And did it kill you? No! But if you don't want it then fine! Saves me money anyways. But won't you come over, sweetheart?

"I..uhm..well..I guess so dea-I'm mean Nora. I'm sorry. But only for a little while. I would rather not come home wasted this time."

"Yeah yeah whatever, just bring your ass over here."

As soon as she hung up, she heard a poof at her door followed by a soft, gentle knock. Nora sloppily made her way over, opening it to find Linnie standing here; a somewhat nervous smile on his face, and wearing a soft, buttoned sweater with velvet, black pants, that didn't seem quite as tight around his legs. Pajama pants perhaps? Whatever.

"About time ya came here. I was about to come looking for ya.", Nora laughed, making Linnie squirm as she yanked him inside. She got closer to him and wrapped her arms around her waist, her hands reaching down and grabbing his behind, "Mmm I missed you."

"N-Nora! I-Is that? Were you drinking?", Linnie asked, smelling the strong, whiskey scent that her breath was laced with.

"Yuh huh. Don't see anything wrong with that. We're not driving and I ain't at work, so why the hell not? Now, come here little man.", Nora pulled Linnie closer, kissing him with full force. As they did so, Nora was able to lead Linnie towards the couch where her blanket way, despite him being a good bit taller than her (though not heavier). They kept kissing, Linnie resisting a bit before he eventually caved, allowing Nora to flip him over, as if she was on top of him. She kept kissing him, and stroking his curves and waist up and down his sweater, holding on to his hips several times. She had even kept him so distracted, Linnie didn't even care that Nora was starting to pull down his pants a bit, submissively allowing Nora to continue what she was doing with a haughty smirk on her face.

Eventually, the alcohol took over and Nora and Linnie passed out on the couch with only the blanket covering their bodies. It was around 2 in the morning and the TV still blasted some old, medicine commercials as the bourbon bottle spilled lazily on the floor. Neither of them cared though, as they were both MUCH too comfortable to even dare moving off the couch.

The next morning however, Nora's headache caught up with her as she heard a loud, vomiting noise coming from the bathroom.

"Wuzzat?! Linnie? What's going on?", Nora yelled, rushing towards the bathroom, "What the hell's wrong with you? Have you been like this all day?"

Linnie finally got a chance to breath, nodding his head gently as he felt his nausea come back, louder vomiting noises almost making Nora want to vomit herself. It was odd..there was no reason he should be vomiting right now. She knew he didn't touch any of the bourbon last night, so it couldn't be that.

What if..no..it couldn't be. It was probably something he ate. How irresponsible of him. He'll probably be fine tomorrow or later on in the afternoon. It was just too early or it to be..something else. Or at least, she had hoped.
