Nora was annoyed to see that there was no new whiskey or even beer bottles awaiting her when she got back, calling out Linnie's name to ask, "Where the hell's my damn drinks? I told you to go by the liquor store!", but was getting no answers. She frantically and angrily searched the house for him before giving up and walking to the liquor store herself, cursing Linnie out under her breath.

Ugh, if only Willow didn't have to come back from her trip this evening. She would've just spent the night with the now lovesick Arthur; the one Nora did truly love and wouldn't mind having kids with. But of course, the universe wouldn't allow her to be happy, damn them all. Besides, Nora was sure that Linnie would be questioning her if he had gotten back before her.

She shook that thought out of her head. Clearly she had beaten Linnie home. If he had taken the time to tell her how long he would be out, then maybe she would be able to time herself accordingly. Oh well..at this point in the evening, Nora's anger started to fade away, finding herself too tired to even get upset.

After purchasing the bottles that Linnie had failed to deliver, she checked her phone to see who was calling earlier, only for the same of a random number to have spammed her phone. Humph..Damn Telemarketers..

Linnie felt like he was going to pass out at any given moment. He lied in the hospital bed with his feet arched up with stirrups while the doctors waited for him to dilate enough to push. He clinged onto the metal sides of the bed, as he had no one to hold his hand and tell him things would be ok. The woman, who had tried to beg the doctors to let her in, was denied her request and had to head home, but left Linnie a note that said, "Give me a call once the baby is born so I know you're ok. Here's my number and my name is Delia. Hope all goes well, sweetie."

His stomach cramped and contracted, causing Linnie to let out screams of pain while crying at the same time, looking towards the hospital room door with desperation. Where was Nora? Why isn't she here yet? Did something happen to her, or is she not coming? Linnie didn't have much time to question Nora's absence as the next contraction hit him harder than the previous, causing Linnie to start crying, and asking the doctors to, "Please! Can we just get on with this yet! I'm begging ! Please!"

Dr. Bluemist looked at Linnie sadly as he checked his uterus, shaking his head sadly. "I'm sorry, Mr. Cosma. You're still a good 5 cm behind."

"5-5? 5? Are you kidding me! 5!", Linnie shouted, tears and sweat strolling through his face, "ACK- I-I'm sorry. I don't mean to yell at you but this hurts..so so bad..please..OW! AH! GET IT OUT!"

"Come on now. Take some deep breaths. Uh, bring him some ice chips, would you?", Dr. Bluemist motioned towards one of the nurses, who had come back with a metal bucket of ice, handing a chip towards Linnie, "Here, suck on this and focus on your breathing. It'll help with the temperature and hopefully some of your pain."

Linnie did as he was told, desperate to find any methods of pain relief. Not too much longer, the ice chip began to melt in his mouth, and Linnie, feeling a small, cooling sensation in his body, fell back on the bed, able to relax for a few minutes.

"H-How much l-longer? Until I can push the baby?"

"You have to reach 10 cm before the baby can be pushed, otherwise things will go wrong during labor.", Dr. Bluemist explained, "I can't give you an exact time since it depends on the fairy, but here, I'll check it again."

To his surprise, Linnie had shot up from 5-7 cm before another contraction hit, causing a cry of pain from the green-haired male. His belly had gotten large and hot, and Linnie was chewing the ice cubes in the bucket as if his life depended on it.

"If you don't mind me saying, I'm surprised you don't have any visitors, Linnie. Does anyone know about the baby?", Dr. Bluemist asked, trying to get Linnie to focus on the conversation. Linnie frowned.

"M-My girlfriend..I don't know where she is."

"Was that the blonde fairy that was here earlier."

"No. That woman just helped me out of the kindness of her heart. My girlfriend has cyan, curly hair..OH! EEK! Honey, please! Come out already!"

Over the past several hours, Dr. Bluemist was pretty dedicated to helping Linnie get through his pain as quickly as possible, since it didn't seem like anyone came to support him. He frowned as Linnie squirmed around in the bed, his grasp tightening on the metal bed. Dr. Bluemist thought those hands should be holding someone that cared about him, rather that have to deal with the pain by themselves. Some girlfriend he had..wouldn't even be there for the baby. How disgusting.

Finally, Linnie had managed to reach 10 cm and Dr. Bluetwist floated near the end of the hospital bed, making sure Linnie's legs were spread apart wide enough so he could deliver the baby.

"Alright I have some good news. Your baby is ready to come out! Once you feel the next contraction, I want you to take a deep breath and push, as hard as you can. Don't worry. I'll handle the baby from this side. Just breath and push."

"O-O-ok then.", Linnie panted, feeling his stomach heat up and his body start to cramp. Grasping the metal bars harder, he began to push the baby out of his body, screaming as he did so. Between every push, he found it harder to breath as he lost his voice from screaming and crying from the pain, just wanting it all to end.

"Come on, Linnie. You have this. You've got the head out already. Just a few more pushes", Dr. Bluemist encouraged as Linnie continued to push, and sweat, and cry.

"Ah! Ugh..ha.."

Linnie pushed harder than he ever could, with the baby's body now coming out along with his legs. It was just the feet left, and Linnie started to feel relief, smiling at the doctor as he looked at Linnie with encouragement.

"Alright, this should be the last one. Just bear down and push like we've been doing. You're doing great, and I'm sure the baby will be happy to see you. Now breathe and push."

Doing as he was told, Linnie pushed with all of the strength he had left, nearly passing out. The only thing that kept him to fading away was the sounds of a baby crying, his heart fluttering with joy just hearing the sound.

"It's a boy!", he heard the doctors say after handing Linnie his son, and oh how beautiful he thought he was. His nose was a little...large..but he was his baby boy nonetheless. Linnie cried as he held his son in his arms and cradled him close to his chest, kissing him multiple times and telling him how much he loved him.

"Congratulations Mr. Cosma. Have you thought of any names yet?", Dr. Bluemist asked, "I know it's sudden but we've got to get the birth certificate and paperwork filed."

"I'm not sure. I'm thinking Daren. I'm not sure. Nora and I hadn't really talked about names for a baby since she says she wants nothing to do with her son. Hmmm..I guess Daren for now, and if he wants his name changed when he gets older, I'll support him fully."

"Excellent. Now, I'm going to get the paperwork and then I want you and your son to stay here overnight so you can rest. You had a very eventful evening, Linnie."
