The potion was so complicate, that it takes 6 months to brew and complete correctly. After work, Nora had to run down to the ingredients store to grab things to add, making sure the potion remained stable to prevent it destroying the ring. Though as she kept coming back, spending money, and working on the ring, Nora started to get cold feet.
Damn..I'm still losing money. I'm doing all this to avoid paying child support, but at this rate, I might as well be. Well..it's too late to back out now…maybe there's some male prostitute I could give this to instead of this ungrateful bitch
This had become routine for her if she didn't have papers to grade. Often, she would also just give an automatic D or an F to speed up the grading process, unconcerned with Jorgen's veto abilities. But as she was coming back to the store one Sunday morning, she saw Linnie sitting at a coffee table with Darren in the baby stroller…and a woman sitting across from him, smiling and laughing. She had blond hair pulled back into a ponytail, and wore reading glasses, a yellow suit jacket and tie, and black pants, almost as if she were going to work. Nora frowned as she studied the two at the table, waiting for any sign of kissing or hugging, before she got impatient and stormed over to their table.
"LINNIE COSMA! What the hell are you doing? Who's this?", Nora yelled, making both fairies jump.
"U-Uh...Nora, this is Delia. Delia, this is Nora..the lady I told you about.", Linnie stuttered. But before Delia could say anything, Nora banged her fist on the table.
"What the hell, Linnie? What is she doing here! Are you cheating on me?!"
"N-No! She just wanted to meet and catch up. Get an update on the baby."
"Oh, it's always the same excuse with you men! You just want to 'catch up'. The only person you should be catching up with is me! You've been fucking avoiding me for nearly a year now and frankly, I'm getting fucking sick of it! Do you realize how lucky you are to have found me!"
"Woah, don't curse at a gentleman like that! What wrong with you?", Delia asked, frowned as she stood up from her seat.
"Shut up! This doesn't concern you, you fucking prostitute!", Nora shouted, glaring to force Delia to sit back down, before turning towards Linnie, "You really are ungrateful, you know. You have no idea what a catch I am! You should be fucking lucky I ever went out with someone like you. Pathetic..low-life..a fucking cheater on top of that. You have no idea what you just passed up. I was planning on fucking marrying you!"
"Really Nora? Do you honestly expect me to marry you after how you've been treating me? Especially the way you're acting right now? You're really embarrassing me right now. Please leave.", Linnie said, frowning as Darren started crying, picking him up and rocking him in his arms.
"Yes! You know why? Because I'm everything you couldn't even dream to be! I'm strong, capable, and independent, and I'm much better off without a pathetic dumbass like you. I wanted to marry you because I wanted to change you. Make you into a better person, but you keep rejecting all my gifts. I don't understand what I did to make you hate me so much?"
"Well, we could start with you not showing up for your son's birth.", Delia spoke up, frowning at Nora, "You know, this isn't the first time we met. I actually found him lying on the ground with his water broken, crying in pain. I called him an ambulance and held his hand until we got to the hospital, something YOU should've been doing. Whether you wanted the kid or not!"
"And who the hell are you to judge? You don't know me! You don't know how hard my life is!", Nora yelled at Delia.
"That doesn't excuse the way you treat people.", Delia sighed before getting up, "I'll see you later Linnie. I just remembered I have some paperwork I have to finish back home."
With a wave of a wand and a POOF, Linnie was alone with Nora once again, wondering how long it would take before she slapped him again. Nora scowled at him.
"Let's make something very clear..you are NEVER to speak to that bitch again! If I catch you anywhere near her, well..let's just say you better hope you have some damn good life insurance."
"But you're not my wi-" SLAP
"I don't care. We're dating and that doesn't give you the right to cheat on someone like me. Now, I'll see you at work tomorrow, and you better find a way to make this up to me."
