Okay, instead of a new chapter, I decided to write another story on something that no one has attempted on this site (to my knowledge anyway), a Familiar of Zero/Yakuza crossover. I'd appreciate any feedback and thoughts you give.
Earth
Inside a black car were two men sitting in the back while with a driver in the front. One older and the other is younger. The younger man was in his late thirties with short black hair and brown eyes. He was dressed in a blue suit and black tie. There was a pin on the suit jacket that read 'Tojo Clan' in kanji.
The older man was in his mid-forties with brown hair that was slightly graying and hazel eyes. He's dressed in a black suit and tie with the same pin on the jacket.
"I received word from Fujimoto-san, the deal is underway Kawakami-dono," said the younger man.
The older man is named Kawakami Kenzó, the Forth Chairman of the Tojo Clan, a clan of yakuza loyal to him.
Speaking to him was his second in command, Hori Hiraku, Patriarch of his own family of yakuza.
"Good, how much money can we expect from this deal?" Kenzó asked.
"If everything is in order, we'll get 20 million yen out of the deal Kawakami-dono upfront. And over the course of a year, we'll get 5 million more every month," said Hiraku.
"Good, that will do. All that's left is-" Kenzó was interrupted by a ringing sound.
He reaches into his jacket and pulls out a phone. He frowns as he recognizes the number calling. He picks up.
"Hello… yes this is me… I see, thank you for calling… yes I'll be right there, have a good day," Kenzó hangs up the phone and speaks to Hiraku. "Tell the driver to change routes, we have to pick someone up."
"Is it him again?" Hiraku asked.
"Yes," Kenzó replied.
"Understood," Hiraku turns around and knocks on the inside window. The window opens up, and Hiraku speaks to the driver. "Change directions towards the police station."
"Yes sir," said the driver.
He closes the window and changes lanes. Kenzó rubs his temple, feeling the start of a headache coming.
"I swear he causes me more headaches than when I run the clan. It shouldn't be this difficult," said Kenzó, sounding frustrated.
"Don't be too hard on him. He's probably just agitated right now," said Hiraku.
"People who get agitated find a safe way to calm down, they don't fight random people on the streets," said Kenzó.
"Like you used to do?" Hiraku said with a grin on his face. "Like father like son?"
Kenzó looks away with a huff. "If anyone had said that they'd be punished for that," said Kenzó.
"Lucky me then, and besides, it's probably not as bad as it seems," said Hiraku.
"The only thing I'm worried about is how many people he put in the hospital this time," said Kenzó.
Kenzó reaches into his jacket and pulls out an old picture. It shows a younger Kenzó in his thirties dressed in a suit next to a beautiful woman with long black, dress in red and white dress. In between them was a young boy around five years old wearing a blue shirt and black shorts. All of them were smiling happily in the photo. Kenzó looks at the photo with nostalgia.
Ten minutes later, the two men walk inside the police station and walked up to the reception desk. The officer present speaks to them.
"Can I help you sirs?" The officer asks politely.
"I'm here for Sakaki Ryúnosuke," said Kenzó. The officer looks shocked.
"R-right, follow me sir," the officer replied, sounding nervous.
The officer led the two men to where the jail cells are. They walk through a door to meet an older looking officer inside at a desk.
"Oh, it's you. You're here for him aren't you?" The older officer said.
"That's right," said Kenzó.
"Alright, I'll take it from here," said the older officer to the younger one. The younger officer nods and quickly leaves.
The three men continue walking down a hallway lined with jail cells.
"What did he do this time?" Hiraku asked the officer.
"Well, he fought against five biker punks. He broke one of their arms, two of their knees, stabbed one of them with their own knife, fractured a wrist, and ripped out a nose ring. It was pretty tame compared to the other times," said the officer.
"See, not as bad as it could be, Kawakami-dono," said Hiraku.
"How did the fight start exactly?" Kenzó asked.
"The bikers in question were ganging up on some schoolgirls. One of them slapped the leader, so he and the others were going to do some unsavory things to them. He arrived on scene in time and started the fight by throwing a rock at the leader's head. The girls left the scene, and by the time two of my men reached the scene, he took out all the bikers. My men arrested him and here we are now," the officer explains.
"Did he come in willingly?" Kenzó asked.
"Yeah, he didn't cause any trouble for my men," said the officer. "He's right here."
The men stop in front of a cell. Inside the cell was a single person inside laying on the ground.
"Was there anyone else in this cell?" Kenzó asked.
"There was, but I wasn't about to make the same mistake like last time," said the officer. "I'll be right back with the key and paperwork."
The officer left, leaving the two men in front of the cell.
"Ryúnosuke," Kenzó said aloud.
The person inside sits up and faces the outside of the cell. He was a handsome young man with long black hair which was slick back, blue eyes, and a lean but muscular build. He was wearing a white shirt under a black jacket, blue jeans, and black shoes. This is Sakaki Ryúnosuke, only child of Kenzó. He walks up to the metal bars and places his arms through them.
"Hey old man, Hiraku," said the young man.
"It's good to see you Ryu, how have you been?" Hiraku asked.
"I'm fine, the cops were kind enough to move the other prisoners out of the cells," said Ryu.
"Ryu, you really should stop picking fights with strangers. One of these days you might accidentally kill someone with how brutal you can be," said Kenzó.
"Don't tell me what to do old man. I can take care of myself," said Ryu.
"I know you can, all I'm saying is that you should be careful. I don't want to receive a phone call that you've accidentally killed someone, promise me this at least," said Kenzó. Ryu brings his arms and paces a little before speaking up.
"Heh… fine, I promise to be careful, happy?" Ryu asked with a huff.
"Relieved, now you won't have stayed in the cell tonight," said Kenzó.
Ryu turns to face away from his father and leans on the cell door. He looks up and sees something strange, a glowing oval sphere being suspended in the air by nothing.
"What the hell is that?" Ryu asked aloud.
"What did you say?" Kenzó asked.
"That thing right there, what is that?" Ryu said again.
"What are you talking about Ryu?" Kenzó asked again.
"There's this green oval shaped thing hanging in the air right there," Ryu said, pointing at it.
"I don't see anything Ryu," said Kenzó.
"Are you blind, it's right there?!" Ryu yelled.
"Ryu, he's telling the truth. There's nothing there," said Hiraku.
"What…" he looks back at the strange oval and back at the two men. "You really don't see it?" Ryu questions them.
"I'm going to get the officer back here quickly and then we'll leave," said Hiraku before leaving.
Ryu walks up to the strange oval and touches it, the surface ripples like water.
"Ryu, get back here towards the door right now!" Kenzó orders his son.
Ryu touches the oval again, this time it grabs his hand and starts pulling him in.
"W-what the hell?!" Ryu shouted.
"Ryu!" Kenzó shouted. Hiraku and the officer run towards Kenzó after hearing him scream.
"Kawakami-dono, what happened?!" Hiraku asked.
"Give me the key right now!" Kenzó goes to the officer and takes the key.
He quickly opens the door and runs to his son.
"Father!" Ryu shouted, holding his hand out.
"Ryu!" Kenzó tries to grab Ryu's hand but was too late, Ryu suddenly disappears.
"What the fuck was that?!" The officer shouted.
"Ryu… RYU!" Kenzó yelled loudly before punching the ground.
Tristain Academy of Magic
"AHHHH!" Ryu was screaming loudly for like he fell for a long time.
Then suddenly, he felt he was on his back. His eyes open to see a small pink hair girl looking over him.
"Who are you?" The pink talked in a different language. Ryu sits up and looks around, he sees other kids dressed in the same uniform as her.
"What was that? Where am i?" Ryu asked. He looks up at the girl.
"You don't understand our language? Where are you from, peasant?" The girl asked.
"Is she speaking English? No, she's isn't… besides," said Ryu. A tan redhead walked up and started laughing.
"Nothing less from someone who put up a huge front! To think that you would summon up a peasant!" The red said while chuckling. The other students started laughing too.
"I just made a small mistake!" The girl said.
"Nothing less from Louise the Zero! A result that meets everyone's expectations!" One student commented and all the other students started laughing.
"Hey, wait…" Ryu tried saying before getting cut off.
"Shut up!" The pink hair girl yelled. She turns to face her instructor.
"Mr. Colbert," said the girl.
"Yes?" The instructor replied.
"Can I try summoning again?" The pink haired girl asked.
"I can't allow that," said the instructor.
"Why?" The girl questioned.
"This ritual is a sacred one that decides the mage's entire life. Trying a second time blasphemes against the ritual itself! Whether you like it or not, this boy has been chosen as your familiar," the instructor explains.
"What the hell are they saying, what's going on here?" Ryu asked himself. He sees what he thinks is the exit of this place and crawls over there but the pink hair girl grabs him by his jacket.
"But I've never heard of using a peasant as a familiar!" The girl said. The students laugh at her again.
"I will not allow any exceptions, peasant boy or not. Continue on with the ritual," the instructor said.
"With this?" The girl said with embarrassment, poking Ryu on the back with a stick.
"Hurry up, or you'll really be expelled!" The instructor threatened. The girl looks shocked but sighs as other students taunted her.
"All right…" The girls looked at Ryu, who's now sitting in front of her. She starts walking up to him.
"Hey, what are you doing?" Ryu asked, despite it being pointless. The students continued taunting her as she got closer to Ryu. Her face looks frush.
"Be thankful for this. Normally a noble would never do this with a peasant boy!" The girl said. She holds up a wand looking stick in her hand.
"My name is Louise Françoise Le Blanc de La Vallière." The girl places her wand on Ryu's forehead, then couches down to face him directly. "Pentagon that rules the five powers, bless this individual, and make him my familiar!" The girl places her hand behind Ryu's neck and pulls him closer.
"Hey wait, what are you doing?!" Ryu shouted.
"Come on, stay still!" The girl leans in puckering her lips.
"Wait, are you trying to-" Ryu was interrupted by the girl kissing him. His eyes widened as his face heats up.
"Is this for real, my first kiss is with a girl I don't even understand?!" Ryu thought to himself, still kissing the girl.
The two separate themselves as the instructor walks up to them. The girl stands up, leaving Ryu in a shocked state.
"It seems Contract Servant has ended peacefully," said the instructor.
Ryu finally gets out of his shock and speaks up. "Hey! What did that thing right there mean?!"
Then suddenly, his body started abnormally. Steam starts covering Ryu's body.
"What is this, what did you do to me?!" Ryu yelled.
"It will be over soon. It's just the rune of the familiar being burned into you," said the girl.
"What are you saying, I understand-" Ryu felt his left hand like it was on fire. Then, runes suddenly appear on his hand, causing Ryu to cry out in anguish. The instructor saw the runes on his hand, recognizing them. The pain subsided and Ryu fell unconscious.
(Hours later)
Ryu's eyes start opening, and he immediately wakes up. Ryu looks around and sees he's in a fancy bedroom, sitting on a bale of hay.
"Where am I now? Was that a dream?" Ryu asked.
"So you've finally woken up," a voice said. Ryu looks to where the voice came from and sees the pink hair girl who kissed him earlier.
"Dammit, it wasn't a dream!" Ryu said in shock.
"I thought about it long enough to get an ulcer. But I've given up. I'm going to have you as my familiar. Be honored," said the girl as she walks away.
"Wait, I have questions for you! Where am I, where have I been taken to?! Take me back home right now!" Ryu yelled. He sees the girl start undressing and his face immediately blushes.
The girl undressed and threw her uniform at Ryu's face.
"Wash those. Even if you don't understand our language, a familiar can understand that much," said the girl, standing there in a pink nightgown. Ryu pulls the clothes off his face and looks confused.
"Hey, why did you throw these at me?!" Ryu asked.
"You don't even understand your master's orders? If he can't understand an order, he's worse than a dog," said the girl.
"Hey I ask you a question, answer dammit!" Ryu demanded.
The girl covers her ears tightly. "Oh, be quiet! All you do is chirp!" She then thought of an idea. Right, silencing magic. I learned it last year!"
She picks up her wand as Ryu bombards her with more questions.
"Let's see… Ansur Ver Ang. Notice the tracks, and answer my request!" The girl said while waving her wand at Ryu.
Suddenly, an explosion occurred covering the room in smoke. Ryu was now on the floor holding her now destroyed uniform.
"Strange…" said the girl.
"What the hell was that?" Ryu said in a different language, in which the girl understood him. Ryu stood up all wobbly from the explosion. "Alright, if you want a fight, then I'll give you one!"
He rushes towards the girl and grabs her shoulders, but stops when he hears her talk.
"I understand! I understood that!" The girl said. Ryu looks at her confused.
"Wait, did you say, 'I understand'?" Ryu asked. The girl nods her head.
"Say something," the girl orders. Ryu steps back.
"Wait, so you can speak Japanese?" Ryu asked.
"What does that mean? I casted spell of silence… another failure," she said depressly. "You, what's your name?"
"My name is Sakaki Ryúnosuke," said Ryu.
"Sakiryunaskue?" The girl tries to say his full name.
"Hang on a second, tell me, why am I here?" Ryu asked.
"I summoned you, of course. As a familiar, right?" The girl said.
"A familiar?" Ryu questions.
He looks down at his hands and notices something on the back of his left hand, strange runelike writing was engraved on his hand like it was burned onto it.
(Some time later)
Ryu was sitting on the ground on the bed of hay. The girl explains everything to Ryu about where he currently is.
"Okay, so the country I'm in is the Kingdom of Tristain, on the continent Harkeginia? And you're a student in the Institute of Magic," said Ryu, pointing a finger at her.
The girl's eyes widened at how Ryu addressed her.
"I won't allow a familiar to call me 'you'. My name is Louise. Louise de la Vallière," the girl reintroduced herself.
"Yeah, whatever. Anyways Louise, I'm this familiar that you summoned, the same thing that all sorcerers do around here to make into servants right?" Ryu asked.
Louise sighs and says "Why is my familiar a peasant boy?! I wanted something cool like a dragon or a griffon!" She closed her eyes in frustration, and when she opened them, Ryu wasn't there.
"Sakiryunaskue?" She looks around to see her door is open. "A familiar ran away?! You're kidding!" Louise said angrily.
Ryu runs fast away from Louise's room and goes down some stairs.
"I don't know what's going on here, but I'm not staying a second longer in this crazy place!" Ryu said.
He reached the lower floor with no trouble and was about to keep running, but spotted a couple in the hallway. He immediately hides behind the wall. A boy with short blonde hair and a girl with long brown hair. Both wore a similar uniform, but the boy wears a black cloak while the girl wears a brown one. They were talking to each other.
"I'm good at baking souffles," said the girl.
"I would love to try one," said the boy.
"Really?!" The girl sounded happy at that.
"Of course, Ketty. I wouldn't lie to your eyes," said the boy in a flirty tone.
"Lord Guiche!" The girl said his name in a loving tone.
"There is nothing hidden behind my feelings for you," said the boy named Guiche.
"Idiot girl, anyone with a brain could tell he's lying to her," Ryu thought to himself.
"Sakiryunaskue!" The voice of Louise could be heard from up the stairs.
"Shit!" Ryu resumes running past the couple.
"Wasn't that Louise's familiar just now?" Guiche asked.
"From today's ritual? It caused quite a stir among first years as well," said the girl named Ketty.
Louise came down the stairs, being spotted by the two students. She was panting heavily.
"Louise, your familiar just passed by," said Guiche.
"Catch him." Louise said to Guiche. "He ran away."
"The familiar with whom you sealed a contract? Nothing less from your familiar, Louis. Common sense doesn't apply to it," said Guiche, sounding both impressed and slightly cocky.
Louise walks up to him and says, "Don't be impressed by it, help me!"
"I've no choice," said Guiche.
Down another floor, two students were sitting by a fountain closely to each other, a boy and a girl.
"Being with you all alone like this is like a dream, Kirche the Fever," said the boy.
The girl named Kirche is a beautiful young woman with a voluptuous body. She has long red hair, amber eyes, and tan skin.
"It looks like tonight won't end with just a fever," said Kirche, lean back on the boy's body.
In that moment, Ryu runs into the room and looks around. He sees a door leading outside.
"Finally, an exit!" Ryu said.
He heads straight for the door, catching the attention of the two students.
"That guy… he's the one that Louise the Zero…" said the boy.
"Yes, the peasant familiar," said Kirche.
Louise runs in with Guiche and sees Ryu running for the exit.
"Oh, he's over there!" Louise yelled, pointing her finger.
"Hey, what are you guys doing?" Kirche asked. Guiche spoke up.
"Oh, just listen to this!" Guiche was about to explain before Louise interrupts him.
"Knock it off! He's getting away!" Louise says as she starts running with Guiche not far behind her.
Now outside, he continues running.
"What was that about magic?! This place is insane!" Ryu said.
He continued running until he felt his body being carried up into the sky.
"Ahhh! W-what the hell is this?!" Ryu shouted in fear.
"Just give yourself up." Ryu heard a voice from below and looked to see who's speaking. "This is the second time that I've kept you afloat," Guiche said.
He waves his rose like around, moving Ryu in the same direction as it.
"Is this for real?!" Ryu questions.
"A familiar that runs from his master? It's just too funny!" Kirche said, laughing hysterically. Louise looks at her in frustration and looks back up at Ryu.
"This is real,- wha!" Ryu gasped at what he was seeing, two separate moons, one small pink moon and the other a bigger blue one. "WHAT THE HELL?!" Ryu shouts at the top of his lungs.
