Chapter 5 – Overtaken
Alright since things are heating up a little for this part of the story, may attempt to release two chapters this week. I have a break so it's possible. Let's get to it.
Disclaimer: I own a PC not Naruto.
Transitions and flashbacks are in italics.
Tailed beast speech is in bold.
'Thoughts are in single quotations.'
A day later, forests of Ta no Kuni…
Two cloaked figures travelled along a narrow dirt pathway through a forest. The trees blocked much of the light out, and the ominous fog in the air gave them quite the appearance. One of the figures wore a rice hat while the other wore a hood. As the two figures walked, the one with the rice hat suddenly stopped. He spoke.
"He's here."
The one next to him in the hood chuckled.
"It's about time…"
The fog ahead of them showed no one at first but gradually it subsided, revealing another figure dressed in black overalls. He wore what appeared to be Anbu armour but in black. He wore a blank mask with two circular holes for seeing. The hooded figure spoke to the masked one.
"Have you done what we've asked?"
"Of course, it was no hard task at all to convince him."
The rice hat man spoke.
"As long as everything goes according to plan, you will have our backing."
"I assure you, I'll bring what you ask. I only have one small issue I need you to deal with."
The rice hat man crossed his arms.
"An issue? You don't expect us to deal with it for-"
The hooded man put up a finger.
"Wait. We can take care of it for you, no additional cost either. However, I want to hear it first, then we can decide whether or not we accept it."
The masked man nodded.
"The jinchuriki is near the border region. I'm aware of his importance to you, but you should know this. He has the same ability as Mito Uzumaki."
Both the figures visibly got tense. The hooded one spoke.
"And what would you have us do about that? You do know that the ability has no known counter right?"
"I'm very aware. I can't get close to him because of it. I only know of it because of a… reliable source."
The rice hat man angrily spoke.
"You tell us this and for what reason? Out with it already."
The masked man replied.
"His emotions are unstable. I can't say for certain but if his seal has been loosened and he were to experience enough emotional turmoil, the Kyubi would likely come loose."
The hooded one relaxed his arms.
"Ah so that's what you were getting at. We have no use for a loose Biju, it's far better to have him keep the beast within him."
The rice hat man pondered for a moment before he seemingly realized something.
"You wish to test the jinchuriki's strength?"
The masked man nodded.
"To an extent. I wish to see his resolve. He does not strike me as reliable, and as a ninja his talents are… lacking. However, he did succeed in bringing down a highly experienced jinchuriki, despite it being the Ichibi. I want to see what he did to manage such a monumental task."
"That would take quite some effort on our part."
He turned to the hooded figure.
"What are we to do?"
Despite the fact that his face was hidden, the figure smirked.
"It's simple. If he can sense emotions, then we shall abuse that ability."
A purple glow emanated from under his hood, and a grin was visible on his face.
"He shall know… true pain."
At the northern sub outpost…
"Any enemies?"
"For the last time, there are none."
When Yugao heard that Kakashi had been sent for a mission to the north on his own, she figured she'd join him. At the very least, Kakashi was fun to converse with. However, he'd slipped into full mission mode from the moment they met up. Covering his tracks, chakra suppression and the constant nagging about sticking to mission protocol. Even his ninken were exasperated by it, although they too were in mission mode. These were the traits of a younger Kakashi that she'd really hoped had vanished. Alas, they had not.
"You can't be too sure Yugao, check again just in-"
"What the hell Kakashi? Stop that."
Kakashi blinked.
"Stop what?"
"That. The thing you're doing."
"The thing… oh. Oh no."
Yugao rolled her eyes.
"Finally…"
"I forgot to supress my chakra again!"
Yugao face palmed.
"You need to stop overdoing everything! Why are you even doing this? You're never like this, even when the odds aren't in your favour."
Kakashi sighed, seemingly mellowing out.
"Have you met Tatsu before?"
"On several occasions. What's the problem?"
"Doesn't he give off a bad vibe to you?"
"A bad vibe? Since when did you judge people by vibes?"
"I'm not trying to do it on purpose or anything. It's just… I get the feeling that he knows something that we don't."
Yugao made an 'ah' face.
"So you're freaking out because someone rubbed you the wrong way? C'mon you're better than that."
"It's not just that. Everything about this situation, it feels familiar somehow."
"You can't say exactly how?"
"If I could describe it, I'd use the word… inevitable."
"Sounds like déjà vu to me. Look, if it's an unstoppable situation, then we just have to deal with it as it comes."
"All I'm saying is that we should move forward with caution. You know how these things tend to turn out."
"Right, your hunches are never wrong. Well, we'll just place our best foot forward, even if it's right into a rabbit hole."
Kakashi reluctantly nodded before Pakkun suddenly appeared next to him.
"We searched the area, apart from some old scents we got nothing."
"I see, we're heading to the outpost now. Thanks Pakkun."
Pakkun turned to Yugao then.
"You calmed him down?"
She winked.
"Totally."
Kakashi quirked his mouth.
"Seriously I'm right here you know."
Pakkun responded.
"We know. See you later then."
Yugao shook her head before vanishing in a shunshin. Kakashi made to follow her but suddenly Pakkun stopped him by biting on the back of his sandal.
"Pakkun?"
"Sorry about that, I lied."
Kakashi blinked yet again.
"Why?"
"We found some bodies near the extreme north, just within Tsuchi no Kuni. They're Anbu."
Kakashi's eye widened.
'Yugao's squad!'
"That's not all. We tracked a lot of scents within that area."
"Where do they lead?"
"To the outpost."
"Dammit Pakkun you should have lead with that!"
Kakashi again tried to follow after Yugao, but Pakkun stopped him again.
"There are way too many of them. You'd never be able to take them all."
"You've seen me fight Pakkun. I can hold my own."
"There are a thousand of them."
Kakashi's jaw nearly dropped.
"How?"
"I don't know, the others are still looking into it. I think the best course of action would be to retreat and get backup."
Kakashi rubbed his eyes, despite the other being covered.
'No matter how you look at it, it's an impossible situation. Iwa holds the advantage, and if I try to cooperate with Yugao she'll definitely want revenge. Not only that, I'm sure of it now, Tatsu has something to do with this. If I do anything that seems off, I might end up tipping off the enemy. So I can't be the one to call for backup.'
"Okay Pakkun, this is what we'll do-"
"We're storming in there right?"
In an instant, Kakashi pulled out a kunai and spun around. It clashed against the kunai of the unknown speaker, noisily creating sparks. He realized moments later it was Yugao, who had a stormy expression on her face.
"Yugao what are you-"
"I'm not out for revenge. And yes, I was listening."
Pakkun didn't even react, having sensed her.
"I guess my fib wasn't up to standard."
"It was pretty good, but I saw through that last part."
"Ah, meant to direct that at both of you."
Kakashi however was having none of this.
"Yugao, this is one thousand shinobi we're talking about. The only person I know who's capable of taking on that many is-"
"Minato Namikaze. And he's dead. I'm aware, but do you really think going back is going to work?"
"If I go back, no. It won't. However, if I send someone who can avoid the outposts and is recognized within Konoha, it's a very likely possibility."
Pakkun glanced at Kakashi.
"You're sending me back?"
"I can't reverse summon you at this distance, I won't have enough chakra to fight afterwards."
"So I have to run back? From this distance it would take me at least two days to make it."
"Better two days than none. While you make your way back, Yugao and I will have to stall for time."
Yugao glanced at Kakashi.
"You want us to pretend that we're unaware of the foreign presence?"
"It's the best shot we have."
Pakkun looked at both of them before shaking his head.
"Alright, I'll get a move on. Kakashi."
Kakashi glanced down. Pakkun added on.
"Don't die."
"I wouldn't dare."
Both he and Yugao vanished. Pakkun sighed to himself once more.
'Always giving me the chores…'
At the sub outpost…
"I didn't think that things would be this peaceful…"
Sakura didn't know what to say. She expected bloodshed and instead, she got extremely kind hosts from what should have been a war-torn outpost. Everything was running just fine. No extreme threats and apparently, they'd even successfully prevented Iwa raids for occurring. And those were supposed to be unpredictable. She was, hands down, impressed.
Sasuke on the other hand was not at all surprised. In fact he expected this from the moment he received the information he had. Which was precisely why he kept a few shuriken in his pocket, just in case he had to fend off any ninja who tried to get hands-on. Yes, he knew what he was doing was treason. He also knew that Iwa ninja were not supposed to expect him. He was intruding on an operation, one which involved two entire hidden villages. This was beyond state secrets, this was outright knowing things even the state didn't. Sasuke had to be careful. If he'd play his cards right, hopefully he'd be able to do what he had to.
"Uchiha-san!"
One of the genin over to his left called for him. It was a girl and Sasuke's immediate reaction was to turn away. He ran right into Sakura because of it.
"Oh, Sasuke-kun I didn't see you there…"
Now she was blushing. Sasuke was highly confused, and quickly turned around. He ended up running right into the genin who was calling him. She crossed her arms angrily.
"Uchiha-san I was calling for you!"
She was at least a few years older than Sasuke was, but that meant little to him. He simply wanted to be left alone. However, neither Sakura nor the genin wished to oblige his wishes.
"Hey, I was talking to Sasuke-kun!"
"And? I didn't ask!"
Very quickly, Sasuke found himself in a rather precarious situation. He wanted to simply body flicker away but Kakashi never taught him how. The Sharingan could only see so much. Then he got an idea.
"Both of you stop!"
He'd never used the Sharingan that way, but he'd seen family members do it. One of the Sharingan's key traits was its hypnotic ability. For that reason, ninja from foreign villages were advised to look away from the eyes of an Uchiha when fighting them. They usually didn't do so but that's because they were cocky, well that was what Sasuke's thoughts on the matter were. Back to the topic, the Sharingan's hypnotic ability was said to be a passive one. Once you looked into the Sharingan, you'd have a hard time pulling your gaze away. What's more, emotion was conveyed deeply through even regular eyes, and this ability was enhanced with the Sharingan. If you were angry enough, you could convey more than simple emotion with them.
'I can convey killing intent!'
He glanced at both of them quickly with his Sharingan, but while he quickly glanced at the genin, which moderately freaked her out, his gaze lingered on Sakura for a little too long. In that moment, she ended up falling backwards, scraping her arm against the ground. He ignored the result and carried on, deactivating his Sharingan.
"I've had enough of both of you."
He set himself to walk away from both of them, not caring any longer. He was however, pleasantly surprised at finding out he could do that with his eyes. Then, he heard a third female voice.
"Are you okay?"
This person was clearly an adult. She helped Sakura back onto her feet, dusting off her sides. Sakura dazedly replied.
"Um, yes…"
"Are you sure? I'm a doctor, I could give you a quick check up if you want."
"No, I'm sure you have more important patients than me."
"Nonsense, I have time for all my patients. Follow me, my tent is just around the corner."
Sasuke passively mulled over the words until it quickly hit him. To Sakura, that woman was simply trying to help her. To Sasuke however, he knew that there wasn't a single person in this camp before they arrived that was an ally.
"Wait!"
Both the doctor and Sakura paused.
"I'd like to come with you. I… I'm responsible so I should also attend."
The doctor took a moment to let the words process before shrugging.
"Well if you insist."
As Sasuke walked behind them, he was internally panicking.
'Why'd I say that? I should have been focusing on my task! Dammit Sakura, why'd you have to fall?'
As they entered the tent, Sasuke stood at the entrance. It was a relatively small tent and he figured that when it came down to it, he could deliver a fast enough blow to at least stun the doctor. If it came to that anyways.
'Just like with Naruto at the bridge, I reacted without thinking!'
Sakura took a seat, and the doctor prepared to start her treatment. A green glow emanated from her hands. Sakura calmly sat down, glancing at Sasuke who appeared oddly nervous to her. Sakura attempted to calm him down.
"It's alright Sasuke-kun, it was just a scratch."
Sasuke nodded quickly.
'I'm not worried about that you idiot!'
Curiously, Sasuke turned on his Sharingan, figuring that he could at least look around the tent to see if there was some sort of hidden enemy. He discerned that there wasn't any but when he glanced at the doctor he noticed something odd about her chakra. Particularly within the jutsu.
'It doesn't look like I thought it would. In fact, the front of her palms look like they have tiny little blades… wait!'
He realized instantly that the doctor wasn't going to use some obvious attack but instead was going to kill Sakura with what appeared like a medical jutsu. His hand had been in his pocket the entire time with his shuriken ready to throw. However, as he revealed the cold steel from his pocket, a hand grabbed his arm and an arm wrapped itself around his neck.
"Ack!"
He quickly found he couldn't breathe. Whoever was holding him had an insane grip, one that prevented him from budging at all. Sakura's head whipped to the side, and the doctor, deactivating the Mystical Palm (Shosen), quickly slammed a fist into her gut. She crumpled to the ground, breathing in erratically. The doctor spoke.
"Well, that was unexpected. The Uchiha's more observant than I thought."
The person behind Sasuke, who was a man, replied back with a chuckle.
"Lucky for you, he forgot to cover his back. He might have scored you with those."
"Hah, might. Well, what's the play?"
"We get rid of them obviously."
"But isn't he the last Uchiha, the one who we were specifically told not to harm?"
"Does it really matter? We kill them, simple."
The doctor stared in what looked like shock. Meanwhile Sakura attempted to crawl away, but the doctor noticed. Harshly, she stepped on her back.
"Stay put little girl, we'll get to you in a second."
The doctor crossed her arms.
"Ugh, why don't we just convince him not to say anything?"
"Well, why don't you try it? I'm no good at that."
The doctor shrugged before walking forward. She reactivated the chakra in her palms, however, this time it was clearly Chakra Scalpels (Chakura no Mesu). Sasuke struggled violently while the doctor made her way closer.
"How about this, if you don't tell anyone I won't slice you-"
The next words never left her mouth as her head fell helplessly to the floor. Sasuke blinked, not even realizing what happened until he noticed the figure behind the doctor's still standing body. He recognized the purple hair and Anbu outfit. She spoke.
"You took so long to get her into position."
"Apologies, holding Sasuke down was a little bit of a chore."
The voice behind him now was a completely different one than before. And one that he recognized. As the arm released his neck, he fell to the ground, coughing a little.
"I don't know whether to be angry or happy, Kakashi."
"Why? Because I managed to deceive your fancy eyes?"
Sasuke grunted as he got back up to his feet. Kakashi walked passed him, kneeling on one foot to check on Sakura. Sakura, by the way, was not doing so good. She'd seen a lot of things already in her relatively short career as a ninja, but never had she seen someone decapitated right in front of her eyes. This was beyond sickening, it was terrifying. The kind of terrifying that made you want to throw up. Which she did, all over the floor. Kakashi patted her on the back.
"I wish we had some time to do a little damage control, but we have none."
Sasuke realized what seemed odd in that moment.
"Wait, how are you planning to get out of here?"
Kakashi looked at Yugao who looked back at him. They both nodded before Yugao spoke.
"We don't plan on it."
Kakashi continued.
"Take Sakura and get out of here. We'll hold them down."
Sasuke crossed his arms.
"I can help too."
At that, Yugao tapped him on the head with her knuckle.
"Don't be stupid. If you stay here you'll die."
Sasuke smirked then.
"Well, they seemed a little hesitant to kill me back then."
Kakashi countered.
"And they were ready to go against their judgement the moment it became too troublesome."
Sasuke frowned, a little upset that he'd been shut down. Kakashi continued.
"But, you do have a point. As it stands, there is one way that I'll let you stay here."
"Alright, name it."
Kakashi smirked.
"Protect Sakura."
Sasuke sighed.
"Yeah, I walked right into that one."
At the main outpost…
"This is so boring!"
Enzo had been speaking to one of his higher ups at the HQ when Naruto once again interrupted their conversation. At that point he'd more than reached his limit with Naruto but there was nothing he could do about it. He'd been charged with a mission, and what's more, it was custody over Konoha's jinchuriki. That was important, is what he told himself. He'd consider anything else to be more important at that point.
"Look here Naruto, unless you're given a good reason to do so, you can't go out."
"But why?! I just want to kick butt dammit!"
He stood right in front of a wall, and repeatedly banged his head on it.
"Bored! Bored! Bored! Bored! Bored! So bored!"
He'd been stuck with the most boring person on the planet he decided. To Naruto, Enzo was probably what a young Iruka looked like, in his opinion. A nice person, but also super boring. And since he wasn't a teacher yet, he obviously didn't have any cool moments of advice like Iruka did on occasion.
"What do I have to do to get placed on a mission around here?"
Enzo was about to respond when surprisingly, his superior was the one who did.
"Well, unless you happened to be a sensory type, there'd be no point to placing you on the mission board."
"A sensory type?"
The superior cocked his head.
"Did they not teach you that at the academy?"
Naruto shrugged.
"They might've but I probably wasn't listening. Just tell me dattebayo!"
The superior blinked and then continued like he hadn't heard the first sentence.
"Well a sensory type is someone who is capable of detecting others chakra, usually from a distance."
Naruto did an 'oh' face and went quiet. Enzo's mouth gaped.
"How'd you do that?"
The superior winked.
"It's all about being as blunt and simple as obvious. It gets through better."
Suddenly Naruto features lit up in realization.
"Does it have to be chakra?"
The superior glanced over to Naruto.
"Well I don't know how else you could sense anyone. Unless you're talking about regular senses, which would make you a tracker. Which you are not."
He thought he had once again stumped Naruto but Naruto continued.
"What if I could sense your emotions?"
Now the superior was stumped. He glanced at Enzo who shrugged. The superior sighed before answering.
"Well I suppose that would count, but it would have to have suitable range."
"Range? You mean how far I can sense something?"
"Precisely. Though I'm not sure how you would go about sensing emotions but I'm sure-"
"Ok I sensed someone in the corner over there, they're pretty bored of the conversation we're having- oh now he's surprised-"
Before any of them could react, a shinobi in red suddenly appeared before them, daggers raised to strike them all down. That was when-
"Meteor Style: Cosmic Impact (Ryusei Ryu: Endai Shogeki)!"
The ceiling above the shinobi in red was breached, and a wave of force slammed down onto him, flattening him like a pancake. As the dust cleared, a figure rose from the flattened shinobi's body, said figure inspecting a headband from the now dead shinobi.
"Damn Iwa spies… I leave for one day and they're everywhere."
Enzo stared in awe and almost cried a little
"S-Sir, you saved us…"
The dust cleared revealing their saviour to be in fact, Tatsu.
"Hardly, I was unable to find the spy here until he revealed himself. Who was it that found him?"
Naruto rose his hand timidly. Tatsu looked Naruto up and down before asking.
"Can you find any other people who are hiding?"
Naruto blinked before realizing he was being asked to basically sense people. He turned to the superior excitedly.
"Does this make me a sensory type?!"
The superior simply stood stumped, not really sure if he should answer or not. Eventually he did.
"I-I guess…"
"Yahoo!"
As Naruto danced about a little, Enzo began questioning his own sanity.
Sometime later, and a lot of beating people up…
"That is amazing Naruto-san. You can find them no matter how hard they tried to hide."
Tatsu held the last spy within his intense grip. Naruto stared in awe.
"Wow, you're like Bushier Brow-sensei…"
"Ah, you mean Guy? We don't talk too much, especially since our last bout went a little south."
Enzo was simply in shock. Not only had Naruto helped root out five spies within the outpost, he also managed to hold casual conversation with the ever indomitable Tatsu, commander of the main outpost in Kusa no Kuni. Apparently, even Tatsu had a life outside of work. Tatsu interrogated the man who he held by the throat.
"You wouldn't happen to know any information on Iwa's movements in Kusa would you?"
"I ain't telling you shi-"
The grip suddenly tightened.
"Sigh, they never want to talk…"
As Tatsu prepared to behead the man by literally squeezing his skull off of his body, Kyubi suddenly spoke to Naruto.
Kit, we've got trouble.
'Trouble? What kind?'
The kind you're not able to fight. Better tell your boss over there to evacuate.
Naruto found it weird that Kyubi wouldn't fully explain himself, but he saw no reason to push the issue.
"Hey Tatsu-san, we got trouble."
"Hm? What kind?"
"The kind we're not able to fight."
Both of you think the same I swear. The only differences between you two is that he's stronger and more mature about it.
"Troublesome, so a raid is upon us. Prepare the defences!"
Enzo nodded before running off. Shortly afterwards, a siren blared throughout the camp.
Nah, all of you humans are stupid. When I say you can't fight it I mean you can't fight it.
Naruto shrugged.
"You weren't explaining it well enough. What kind of trouble can't we fight?"
Will one thousand shinobi suffice?
Naruto blinked before grinning.
"Hey Tatsu-san, what do you think about fighting one thousand shinobi?"
Tatsu glanced at Naruto, and even as several shinobi began rushing in with enemy number reports, he grinned right back.
"You know what kid? I like how you operate. If we somehow survive this, I might teach you a thing or two."
While the two ninja grinned excitedly at each other, the Kyubi slammed its nose into the ground.
Never again. I'll never do you a favour again. I'll just let you die next time.
"Aw don't be like that, the fun's only just begun!"
Sometime before, at the Tsuchikage's office…
"You want me to what?"
Onoki couldn't believe the gall of his benefactors. He finally had a chance at Konoha, a true undisputed chance. And suddenly he was being asked to do something absolutely outrageous.
"I don't plan on repeating myself twice."
In front of him, or rather on his desk sat a masked man. That orange mask with a swirl pattern, the deep voice that resonated about the room, and the single eye visible that glowed an ominous red. Whoever the figure was, Onoki couldn't place him in the same class as Deidara. Despite knowing what Deidara could do, this man's aura alone spoke volumes of his strength. Onoki sighed.
"What you're asking is completely unreasonable."
The masked man laughed.
"Is it? If you can do this simple task, I can guarantee you Konoha will fall."
"You guarantee is noted, but I'm more than sure of the strength of my forces. Konoha needs but one more little push."
"That's what you believe. Let me tell you of Konoha's true force potential."
Onoki's brow furrowed.
"True force potential? Right now their forces are down to nearly fifty percent, they are going to lose eventually."
The masked man cocked his head.
"Oh no, your number is a little off there. Let me fix it for you."
Onoki crossed his arms, waiting to hear the re-estimation.
"After the initial attack on Konoha, its forces were down to sixty percent. Through gradual effort, you've managed to whittle it down a further ten percent. Impressive. However, that is only because a quarter of their forces are still in recovery."
Onoki felt his heart skip a beat.
"To add on, my spies have been keeping an eye on a certain Danzo Shimura. The Shinobi no Yami. And from what I've heard, he's prepared a certain little present for his village. In the form of re-officially integrating his forces into Konoha proper. Based on the numbers I've received, that would account for a further twenty five percent."
Onoki's pen dropped from his hand.
"Ah, and the icing on the cake. There's apparently negotiations going on between Suna and Konoha. And one of the major agreements they plan to sign is for the temporary merging of the two village's forces. Suna lacks a Kage and Konoha could use the strength boost."
Onoki slammed his hand on his desk.
"Are you trying to intimidate me?"
"I'm not trying. I am. All of what I've said is set to happen within a week. Even if you continue to whittle away at them, they'll eventually come to crush your attempt to destroy them. That's just how Konoha is. They are the best."
Onoki went quiet for a moment. Then he asked.
"And how likely is it that your idea will work? If all of what you said really will happen, do you think that will make any difference in the grand scale of things?"
The masked man stared right into Onoki's eyes.
"You don't seem to understand, so let me make it clear. I am the grand scale of things. I am that which dictates what will happen. And thus, if I say this will happen, it will happen."
Onoki closed his eyes for a while, mulling over the words he spoke before he opened them.
"Alright fine, but only because I'm out of options."
"You finally see reason. Alright, you should take care of it as soon as possible."
"You haven't even explained all of the details to me yet."
"Ah, are you saying I'm not trustworthy?"
"No, you've been right on all occasions thus far."
"Good, you know how I hate to spoil my plans. They are done one step at a time after all."
A powerful vortex pulled the masked man into himself.
"I'll speak to you later, Onoki."
As he vanished into it, a shinobi opened the door to the office. He spoke.
"You called for me Tsuchikage-sama?"
Onoki nodded before stamping a sheet of paper with writing on it. If one looked closely, they'd see it wasn't the Tsuchikage's own.
"Yes, I want you to deliver this missive to my son. Tell him we're to undergo a change in modus operandi."
"What kind of change Tsuchikage-sama?"
"Shinobi are to no longer kill Konoha ninja, but to capture them. They are to be brought here."
He lowered his head as he said the next part.
"For execution."
Onoki didn't understand entirely what he was doing, but he did know one thing. The blow that would be dealt by this move would be one even Konoha would falter from.
End of Chapter
Superfast chapter. Would you believe me if I told you I wrote this in one day? Well I did. Yeah anyway, I'm trying to see if it's feasible to either lengthen these chapters or to stick to these lengths and write them on Fridays (I have nothing to do on Fridays). Any who enjoy the chapter, hopefully?
Oh I forgot. I've noticed some writers for Naruto fics do this. So I've personally never read the data books and stuff but I do know about the whole jutsu classification thing. I figured I'd do it for jutsu that I made up. Here's one I did for the jutsu in this chapter:
Name: Meteor Style: Cosmic Impact (Ryusei Ryu: Endai Shogeki)
Type: Taijutsu
Rank: A
Range: Close (up to 5 meters)
Description: Tatsu employs his Meteor Stance to build up high amounts of physical pressure. Then he releases it in the form of a shockwave from his body that upon striking a target will swell in on itself before releasing across the target's whole body. Tends to flatten targets because of the resultant shockwave. Highly lethal, considered an unstoppable attack unless the target's defences are strong enough to withstand it.
What's Meteor Style? Why's it called that? What the heck's a Meteor Stance? I'll answer those. Later that is. Also, reminder that I know no Japanese.
